SAP sys id port definitions

Hi all,
In the receiving and sending port for an IDoc we have the concatenation of SAP with system id.
This is supposeldy a port hence I was wondering why we cannot see its definition in WE21 ?
And how does a system decide whether the destination/receiving port exist or not if not defined in WE21 ...
Please guide .. looked in ?BD64 also but no help
Regards,
Sugopa

Hello,
I don't know IDOC, but that I know, SAP listen the port of : 30 + ID number. For exemple if you are the ID 01, your SAP will listen 3001.
Try  telnet sap_host 30xx

  • Transfer ports definitions between SAP systems

    Hi,
    I would like to know if there is a way to transfer ports definitions (WE21) between SAP systems ?
      Thanks, Nir.

    There is no program to copy ports into another system. You could write an ABAP program and an RFC FM to read EDIPOA and EDIPORT tables from other client and insert them into the current system tables, but it is not suggested to do that because the RFC destinations should exist and no company wants to do direct update on SAP delivered tables because SAP will not support in case of errors.
    Thats why as far as my experience, I've always created them manually.

  • How to copy/send text file from FTPS to SAP ECC File Port

    Hi Frdns,
    I am working on one design, actually my requirement as follows
    I am receiving financial information document from Banks, which is in the form of BIA2 message format, it looks like text file. This information needs to be sending to SAP ECC system.
    I identified some approaches to full fill the requirement
    1)Using Conversion agent/or third party tools to convert BIA2 message in to XML, then using PI I will pick up the XML message, convert it in to IDoc.
    2)Without any conversion I will copy the same file (original BIA2 message) in to SAP ECC file port, in this case no conversion required, calling some program I will schedule it.
    I am looking forward t implement the second approach because it saves lot of money to my client.
    Now I am wondering using File adapter can i copy to SAP ECC File Port or I required ABAP proxy?
    What is the best approach to copy the BIA message text file from FTPS to SAP ECC File Port.??
    Regards,
    Raj

    Hi Raja,
    >>Now I am wondering using File adapter can i copy to SAP ECC File Port or I required ABAP proxy?
    Yes you can do this copy, the only restriction that can happen is the file size.. If you are sure that the fiel will be of few MB at the max then you can use the Configuration part alone and copy it to ECC folder. For doing this you need the following:
    1. Sender agreement (mention the sender interface as anything XYZ)
    2. Sender communication channel. Pick the file in binary mode
    3. Receiver determination (keep both the sender and receiver service as same)
    4. Interface Detemiantion (dont specify any mapping and keep the receiver interface name as XYZ)
    5. Create receiver agreement (with same service and interface)
    6. Use file adapter here

  • Where is inbound master data in reciever system?(IS- xi proxy- SAP sys)

    I used XI proxy to connect IS and receiver(SAP sys)
    When process is error,what is the TCD to monitor the inbound master data(for example:PO) just like the TCD:WE02
    Thanks

    if you send data to an SAP system via proxy, you can use transaction sxmb_moni in the target system to monitor the calls just like you use it in XI.

  • RSA1 automatically creating port definitions

    When setting up BW connection to ECC and SCM systems, RSA1 auto creates port definitions using the generated A000000X format. I want to use a predinfed port like BIQ100 or BIP100 (source client format).
    Is there a way to use predinfed versus generated port defintion.
    Thanks
    Jexun

    Go to transaction WE20 and maintain the port in the outbound parameter in the correct logical system under partner type LS.

  • EDI Inbound-Port definition

    Hi,
    We are doing EDI Inbound for PO. For this I need to define the port(Sender Port) as in the control record(i.e as they r sending) .If they change their port it is not working what shold I do for this.
    regds,
    Vinsa.R

    Hi,
    As i mentioned before, the sender should inform any change in control parameter so you can change your port too.
    Check with the sender if they can provide this information before changing. I do not what is the terms of your company with this sender, but they should inform you before doing any change.
    <b>Option-2</b>
    The other option you have is, you create your custom program which runs before RSEINB00. In this program you have to,
    - read each and every file from this UNIX directory
    - read the control record.
    - check if SNDPOR is what you have defined in your system
    - if not then change it and save it back.
    You can check the source code of FM <b>'IDOC_INBOUND_FROM_FILE'</b> to see how SAP read this file. ( Program RSEINB00 calls this FM internally ). This will give you an idea, how to read control record.
    I do not know if option-2 of changing control record in file will affect anything else or not.
    Let me know if you have any question.

  • Import SAP WSDL into External Definition

    Hi Friends,
    I'd like to import a WSDL into XI External Definition. However, the WSDL is gained from Web AS Web Service Navigator. So it is a zip file and consists of three WSDL files. How can I import them into the external definition?
    Thanks + Regards
    Jerome

    Hi Jerome,
    If you have three wsld files then aren't those three messages?
    have you tried importing them as external definitions one by one?
    you can check how the message structre looks like
    when you try to use the external definition inside a
    message mapping (remember you don't create message type from external definitions)
    Futher reference:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/26/9e97b0f525d743882936c2d6f375c7/content.htm
    BTW
    while creating external defnitions (WSDL)
    you can only choose wsld file or XML - nothing else

  • SAP J2EE Admin Port 50011, 99% it stops

    Hi,
    We have installed EP6 SP2, we tried to apply the patch for that we tried to connect to SAP J2EE Admin through port 50011, it goes till 99% and stays there. We are not able to apply the patch because of this.
    Any thoughts on this or suggestions will help us.
    Thanks
    Senthil

    Login is : "Administrator"
    Password :
    Hostname : Specify the proper host name out here
    Port number :50004
    Refer Victor's note on how the port is calculated.  This assumes that your portal is installed on 50000, http://hostname:50000/irj should give you the portal home page. Are you able to login here?  On what basis did you choose 50011?
    Again there is no need for a password.  If you are still not able to login, check your installation.

  • We21 XML File Port definition

    Hi All,
    I want to define a port of type XML File in we21 of my R/3 system. Can I make it point to a non-local directory? (i.e. a directory that resides on a system on the network).
    I tried to assign a Logical Directory in we21.I assigned an existing Logical File Path (T-code <b>FILE</b>) to a valid network path. But I get the error:
    <i>Access to a stored directory not possible in this environment.</i>
    How do I go about assigning a network path in we21?
    Regards,
    Puloma.

    Hi,
    Try this way
    Define a Partner of type FILE
    In WE21 under that you create a port for the partner FILE
    Select physical directory and give the directory as
    <XI Install dir>:\usr\sap\X3A\DVEBMGS31\data
    and the file name in outbound file.
    or any path from XI installation directory.
    Once this is done try sending out the IDOC and see.
    Thanks,
    Prakash

  • Serial port definitions/handling questions

    Xserve (brand spanking new), 10.6.2
    1- Setting speed for the tty.serial port
    I edited, as documnented, the /etc/ttys file to use "serial.9600" instead of "serial.57600" which unfortunatly is now default for the one serial port of the Xserve. Then I "kill -HUP 1" to get launchd to refresh its definition. No difference.
    In the end, out of desperation after many trials without success, I edit /etc/getttytab and change sp#57600 to sp#9600 in the serial.57600 definition and this finally worked.
    This sort of indicates to me that launchd no longer uses /etc/ttys but some other hidden file where the serial.57600 is assigned to getty and tty.serial.
    Anyone know where the serial ports are now defined ?
    Also, once the system is up, is there a way to release the port from the login process so that I could make an outbound connection using cu/screen ?

    Thanks for the responses.
    I suspected it was in a PLIST, but I am not yet used to the Snow Leopard finder to get to "unix" directory and hadn't gotted a list of files in that directory and figured it was empty and that the launchd plists were elsewhere. Argh ! That is what lack of sleep does
    I take it that in that plist, the "SessionCreate" refers to the "on" or "off" that one uses in ttys ?
    Also, if I am to get an 8 port USB gizmo, would I be adding them to the comp.apple.xserve.serial-ports plist ? In which case, I take it that the launchctl control is an all or nothing, unable to control individual ports ? Should I then create individual plists for each port so I can control them individually ?
    BTW, while launchctl unload did remove the getty process assigned to tty.serial, the port is still marked as "Line in use" and "cu" unable to use it.

  • Sendmail & SAP SMTP have port conflict !

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    I am in process of configuring inbound & outbound Email in my ERP system. Now the problem is we have sendmail running on Port 25 on the host where SAP installed.
    Because of this i can not start my SAP SMTP service on port 25. If i start on 25000 outgoing working fine but incoming not working at all.
    Can we configure sendmail to listen on port 25 and forward all those mails to SAP's port 25000 ?
    I dont have much knowledge of sendmail so very confused.
    Any idea !!! How to resolve this ?
    Thnx

    Folks,
    I had the same problem, and the issue was that the following file in the kernel was not having the proper permissions, so you need to update permissions of icmbnd file in kernel to 4750 and owner as root.
    Then you need to disable sendmail on the server on which port 25 needs to be used by SAP.
    Use the command "./sendmail stop" to disable sendmail (cd /etc/rc.d)
    Finally try to activate SMTP through smicm tcode.
    It worked for me.
    thanks!

  • Change SAP MC default port

    Can anyone tell me how to change the default port (5xx13) for SAP MC?    That port is already in use on our system and so the SAP MC java applet cannot connect.
    Thanks!
    Kirsten

    Hi Kirsten,
    As far as I know, the SAP MC uses the same port as the sapstartsrv service port.
    By default the service uses ports:
          5$(SAPSYSTEM)13 for http
          5$(SAPSYSTEM)14 for https (if SSL is configured for the instance),
    And this might be overwriten in etc/service file by specifying:
          sapctrl$(SAPSYSTEM)
          sapctrls$(SAPSYSTEM)
    Check SAP note 936273.

  • Incorrect data from "table.getString" in jCO call to a Unicode SAP sys

    We have started getting java errors, with a local standalone java application, after we converted our SAP system to Unicode. The java application makes a RFC call to SAP and runs a functional module, which extracts payment data. The data is passed through table parameters T_OUTLOG and T_FILE.
    When trying to get data from the first field/parameter of a table, it also picks up data from the second field/parameter. It seems to be picking up twice the number of expected characters. Consequently when we try to get data from the second field/parameter, it now contains the data from the third field/parameter.
    Below are the sample data, java code and results:
    eg. SAP TABLE "T_OUTLOG" has the following fields and values:
    FILE: 103501U1
    LAUFD: 20070803
    LAUFI: TIN01R
    RPPOST: 44
    JAVA CODE:
    com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.Table table = function.getTableParameterList().getTable("T_OUTLOG");
    for(int i = 0; i < table.getNumRows(); i++)
      table.setRow(i);
      String s12 = table.getString("FILE");
      String s13 = table.getString("LAUFD");
      String s14 = table.getString("LAUFI");
      int j = Integer.parseInt(table.getString("RPOST"));
    RESULTS:
    S12 ("FILE") = 103501U120070803
    S13 ("LAUFD")= TIN01R
    Please advise if you have seen this error before. Is there a need to update any of the jCO jar, rfc, dll files etc.? If so how can this be done?

    Jco return a big String with the result. When you initialize the JCO.table get the structure and length of each field.
    But, your code is correct. Check in SAP the function and structure of T_OUTLOG
    Also, you can use JCO.Field to find the error.
    com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.Field objCurrentField = null;
    com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.Table table = function.getTableParameterList().getTable("T_OUTLOG");
    for (int j = 0; j < table.getFieldCount(); j++) {
         objCurrentField = table.getField(j);
         System.out.println(j“> ”” Name: ”+ objCurrentField. getName() + “; Length”+ objCurrentField.getLength() + “; Type: ”+ objCurrentField.getTypeAsString() + “; Value: ”+ objCurrentField.getValue());
    Remember, The abap data type it’s different in JAVA and depend of the users parameters. Example: Fields Type DATUM in SAP return to JAVA “00.00.0000” or “00/00/0000” or “00000000”. Maybe the problem it’s the data type.
