SAP target provisioning - 'Password Update' Rejected causes a Valid Through Update on target
Hello Experts,
we have recently noticed a strange behaviour.
Some users had a strange Valid Through value on target SAP ECC system, after some researches we found that their SAP ECC resource had different task "Password Update" in status Rejected.
The date of task rejection match with the valid through update on SAP system, but we cannot understand how the 2 things are linked..
Could you help us?

it seems that this bug related to i915 chip ( or intel graphic card ) is fixed in kernel 3.18rc3 mainline ( we can find this kernel package in AUR )
there is also another and complete different bug when we use a kernel 3.17 and even 3.18 ( it's a random bug ) but with a similar effect : boot can hang ( the boot process suddenly stops ) :

downgrading to kernel 3.16.x is the workaround
I assume my computer is affected by one of these bugs. While I can get to the point where my window manager is loaded, everything almost immediately hangs (but doesn't freeze). Terminal windows become non-responsive and Chromium will refuse input. It's very weird. This happens with both of the 3.17 kernel updates but not in any of the 3.16 releases (including 3.16.7).
This is on an AMD system (cpu/gpu w/ open source driver). Overall 3.17 seems rather buggy.

You can reset the password with the install disk.

SAP Connector - Valid Through Field issue
Hello Experts,
we have a strange behaviour on our SAP ECC target.
In SAP system results that OIM changed the Valid Through attribute for 2 SAP user (with 2 different dates).
If we check the situation in OIM system, we can see that the SAP Resource for each user didn't call any "Valid Through Updated" Task.
Moreover, at the same time of SAP valid through update, we can see that a "Password Updated" task has been rejected into the SAP Resource History.
Is there any connection between "Password Updated" task rejection and a valid through attribute update on SAP target system??
If yes, somebody could explain it ??

Provisioning Password Email Formated Incorrectly
The Provisioning Password email format is being generated incorrectly for some of the requests.
User ID: CARRIETA
Password: AhB8SJSAPSystem: EQA-130
The password and the system information are conjoined. This creates a password that is invalid and has caused some frustration with the user community. Not all of the Provisioning Password emails are generated in this manner. The majority of them are created correctly with the 3 lines of information

ThanksWe had this problem with 5.2. We finally figured out that when a " > " sign was in the middle of the SAP-generated password, that character and the rest of them in the password were removed, and the next line started where that character should be. This is not an SAP problem - it is the format of the mail - HTML. If you forward the message, you can see the entire password.
We also had poor users who had an equal sign " = " as the first character in their initial password and thought the password started at the next character ( Password: =Ab12Cd$ was interpretted as AB12Cd$ Instant lock)
Our solution was to prevent SAP from generating any special characters in its passwords. Not only did this prevent the truncated password email, but it was much easier for new SAP users to enter an initial password that had letters and numbers only in it.
The table to change is PRGN_CUST. Add a value GEN_PSW_MAX_SPECIALS of 0 to prevent any special characters.

My mum set up an iCloud account for my iPhone 4 but forgot the password. This caused me to create a new account, and it can be used for the App Store and iTunes and all that, but I can't change the initial iCloud account (the one my mum made). My device keeps prompting me for the password every few minutes after updating to iOS 8, and I've tried every option possible to retrieve the password, but I don't even know the answers to the security questions and I can't find the password reset email anywhere and I don't know the back up emails my mum used. I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Is there a way for me to retreive the password or change to my new account without the password?

XI Installation: SAP System Account+Password- Login failed
Hi All,
This is my first attempt in installing XI.
I have installed SAP Web AS 6.40 ABAP+Java System and am trying to install XI now.
I can also confirm that my J2EE engine is up and running. I ran the J2EE example on HTTP using port 50000.
Here is my basic config:
VMWare with Windows 2003 Server SE, 60Gigs dedicated HDD space, 2Gig RAM, MS SQL Server 2k Enterprise SP4.
My Problem is that when I run the "XI Installation" from "NetWeaver Components Running on Java" I get asked for my SAP System Account's (user: l01adm) password. I know what my password for System account is, but for some reason I get "Invalid Password" error message from SAPInst GUI program.
Since I am very new to SAP Web AS and XI, there could be quite a few reasons why this is not working.
Could anyone please shed some light my direction regarding the possible things that could be causing my problem?

POP Mail Password being "rejected"
I've Got Mail (1.3.11) going out to yahoo.com to pick up my mail from the POP server. It's set to check for mail every minute. Suddenly I keep getting a note that "the POP server 'pop.mail.yahoo.com' rejected the password for user 'petermbooth' Please re-enter your password or cancel." Then at the bottom of the window is a checkbox which says "Remember this password in my keychain." I check this and... The same thing happnens again within a few minutes.
Any ideas WHY this is happening? Yahoo IS accepting the password, because when I enter the password, it goes out and collects the mail. It's a couple minutes before the note comes back.
Ideas? This is very frustrating!

G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9)this started happening with me about a week or two ago as well. i am running OS 10.4.4, the mail version i have is 2.05. this only happens with my yahoo email account. i also a google and .mac, which retrieves email just fine. i have tried deleting the account from the mail app and re-entering the account. that worked fine for about 20 minutes, then it started happening again. i have also tried deleting the keychain access for the password and selecting 'save to keychain' when you enter the password in mail, but again that didn't change anything.
all the problems started after i updated my computer, via software update, on jan. 11th. i updated quicktime to 7.0.4, itunes to 6.0.2, powerbook aluminum battery to 1.0, and OS X to 10.4.4. personally, i think there is something wrong with the 10.4.4 update. hopefully it will get taken care of soon.

PowerBook G4 boots to unfamiliar login. List of known user accounts does not appear and original admin user name and password is rejected. What is going on here?
There are no children, nor other suspicious characters that have "played" with my computer. One moment I'm in, the next time I turn on/restart the powerbook I'm at a screen with the name of the hard drive and two fields: username and password. Not a list with pictures and names ie 'Katie Jo' with an orange icon and 'Guest' with a silhouette of a head.
In an attempt to remedy this problem, I backed up files using target disk mode and firewire cable. I then, rebooted in single user mode, typed in the correct script and essentially made the computer appear virgin again. Original start up welcome screen display with multiple languages, and then set up prompts such as language, network, and registration. After completing the cues and the "just a few more questions" page, I press continue and am left at a grey standstill, with the continue button greyed out, and no other actions. I'm only able to "go back" by clicking the go back button, all the way to the beginning of the set up, and as I proceed through the steps a second time, I'm greeted with the same halt. What is this? -

Just sign the old user ouf of the store, and sign back in with your AppleID and password.
Just scroll down to the bottom of the store screen, click on the Apple ID bar, click on sign out, then sign back in with your AppleID.
Note though that if the phone already has apps on it purchased by the previous owner, those are permanently tied to the previous owners Apple ID - you would need their password to update any of those apps. The only option to you to update any of them would be to delete them, and purchase them yourself using your own Apple ID. -
I have two apple id's and one I cannot remember the password so I made a new one but to update my apps it still asks for the old password... How do I update my apps?
All content and data is forever associated with the Apple ID you used to download it. You should have reset the password for the original I'd.

my ipod tells me my apple id password is wrong even though I just changed the password. I can log on via my desktop, but the ipod continues to tell me that the password is incorrect, so I can't update any apps. when I continue to to try to enter the correct password in it finally freezes the account, and I have to go online via my desktop to fix that problem. I have two apple id's because when my ipod crashed I had to reset it completely. I have never had any problems with this before, and it has been a year since I got my second id, which is linked to the ipod. My first id is used for the cloud on the same device. My wife suggested I reset documentson the cloud for the second id, however, when I try to log on the cloud with my current id, it tells me I have to set up the cloud on that device, but it is already done, but with the old id.

Java broken some software here and there, all you'll have to do is wait for a update from the other parties. -
My ipod touch 4g just updates today on itunes and the update caused more trouble than good for me. My ipod will no longer show me the battery percentage in the top right hand corner and I am not allowed to drag other applications to the bottom panel. Also my itunes doesn't allow "enable disk use" anymore. Can anyone help? My ipod now says that it's the 4.3.4 version

IPad mini now terrible to use, apple support no help because warranty is up. All cause by new ios8 update, wifi issues, many apps no longer work, apps that do work now crash regularly and sometimes take several instances and reboots to even open.

SAP* and DDIC passwords for new clients in Sol Man 4.0

I just recently finished a Solution Manager 4.0 on Windows 2003 server box. Then, I performed some of the post installation steps until I had to create a new client. So, I went to scc4 and created a new client. When trying to get access to this new client through SAP*, the default password did not work and the entries were not created in the table usr02. Also, I tried to insert the missing entries into the usr02 table, but had no success after all.
I hope some of you can help on this, because I am stucked on it.
