Sap tax configuration

Hi sap masters,
When iam going to post vendor invoice in FB60,
EXPENSES- DR
VAT MAIN AC - DR
VENDOR AC- CR
i need to post vat sub account, but instead of sub account it is taking main acount
In FTXP TAX ACCOUNTS--vat main account is configured,
Could you tell me how shoud i get vat sub account in FB60

Thanks for the replay, we have vat sub accounts like VAT MUMBAI, TAMILNADU, BANGAORE, So in FTXP, We have only one gl account option, where we can give VAT MAIN ACCOUNT ONLY.
So we need to give vat sub accounts for 3 vat sub gl accounts.
Why because we cant go for change again and again for vat sub accounts in FTXP,
Could you tell what is the solultin for this

I donot Know exactly the Airline industry buiness , but SAP has recently released the below given Notes for Service tax configuration.
For Service tax determination SAP has released 6 Notes.Implement these below given Notes and try for Service tax .
1353362 Service tax Master Note.
1391485 Outbound Excise Invoice enhancement for service tax.
1393506 Service tax enhancement for ARE reversal process.
1392593 Service Tax enhancement in monthly Utilization.
1393534 Service Category determination and service tax return (STS).
1393460 Updation of GAR7 Challan information.
Service Tax reporting needs to be done based on service category in section 3 of ST3 report.
And the congiuration Zip doc folder is available in above given Note.

Hello,
There are no special settings for vendor. You have to assign the with holding tax code to vendor in the master data of vendor.
You have to create the with holding tax code in IMG menu.
You have to do following settings such as
Basic settings
Maintain countries
Define document types
Calculation
Maintain tax code
Maintain Formula
Postings
Define accounts for tax code

1. Define Professional Tax Grouping Details
2. Assign PTax Groupings for Personnel Areas and Subareas
3. Assign Amounts for Professional Tax Deduction
4. Maintain Method and Form Layout for PTax Groupings
As no standard is existing, copy from a slab that has similar values
As far as the form is concerned, Raise an OSS and wait for SAP reply

Tax Configuration Step by Step - Canada

Hi All,
I have read through the various SAP documentation on taxes. I am looking to configure taxes for Sales & Purchase for Canada.
I am also interested in a few other countries but since I am starting with Canada, does anyone have step by step tax configuration for Canada on any project which implemented taxes within SAP and not used an externation or bolt-on application?
Other countries that I am looking for are Belgium and Norway.
Any help is welcome.

Thank you very much for the link. THat is what i was looking for. However, they have custom tax codes in there but I am thinking of leveraging the ones that are provided by SAP, any suggestions?
Also, there are a few errors in the tax config section or it might be my mis understanding, can someone clarify the following please:
Q1> Why do we need tax code P3 for CAQC in addition to P2 when both are the same tax types , i.e. A/P GST applicable, PST applicable ? And even if there is a new tax type P3 for CAQC, why isnt the GST (acct key VST - for 6%) configured here ?
Q2> Same question as above applies to A/R GST applicable, PST applicable tax types where we have S3 in addition to S2 for CAQC. Why isn't CAQC just added to S2 instead of creating a new tax code S3 for it? and even if it is created, why isnt the GST (MW5) configured for 6% here?
Q3> Shouldn't all tax codes for PJ read: PJ A/P GST exempt, PST applicable instead of PJ A/P GST applicable, PST exempt ?
Q4> Last tax code for A/P CAQC which is PJ A/P GST applicable, PST applicable should have tax code PJ instead of P3 and tax type be A/P GST exempt, PST applicable instead of A/P GST applicable, PST exempt
Q5> Shouldn't last tax code for A/R which is Tax code S2 A/R GST applicable, PST applicable read SP A/R GST exempt, PST applicable instead, just like described in the tax type?
Any input is appreciated. Either I am still quite lost or there are errors in the tax config in this document.

Unfortunately I don't know any more than this. I have only done one SAP ME 15 installation so far
and this was the solution to our error situation.

Tax Configuration in Vendor Master

HI
What are all the steps to be followed in order to establish tax criteria in Vendor master i.e the fields that want to be inputted for Tax configuration .

when i maintain it is throwing error message :
Entry USER does not exist in USR02 - check your entry
Message no. 00058
Diagnosis
Input values must be defined in Table USR02. The value or values 'USER ' are not specified in this table.
Procedure
Check whether the input is correct and correct if necessary.
Procedure for System Administration
If this is not an incorrect entry, check the system settings and change them if necessary.
If there is a connection to the Customizing system, you can maintain the system settings by choosing Customizing in the Performance Assistant or Maintain Entries (F5) when displaying the help in a modal dialog box.

How can SAP be configured to prevent users from consuming locks?

How can SAP be configured to prevent users from consuming locks?
The issue is that we want to prevent users to use upto maximum locks and so that we will not get lock table overflow issue. I know that we can assign parameter "enque/table_size" a good amount of value. But it is not for any specific user.
Also want to alert in CCMS if any user reaches to its maximum speficified limit of locks.

You cannot set a limit of locks per user. There are two ways to reduce/control the number of locks:
- change fewer records within one transaction
- cover more records with one lock using wildcards
Basically it is an application / development issue.

IDOC INVOIC02 tax configuration

Hi All
We're going to use INVOIC02 IDoc to trigger FI vendor invoices. It involves some configuration settings along with Tax configuration. But, functional people they says functionally it's not possible to maintain all the tax codes in configuration level.
So, please help me to avoid config for Tax for INVIOC02 IDoc.

Hi ,
1)We got same senario.You have to inform functional guys to configure the VAT codes in the EDI subsystems for all countrys.
2) Other wise you have to write BDC to update the EDI config.

Steps of learning SAP MM configuration

How to retrive the overwritten SAP Default Configuration

Hi There,
I was trying to enhance the component BT115IT_SLSO to add some new fields into the table view Items.
I copied the view configuration to my Z config key but by mistake & added the fields into the default view and saved the changes. Now the default configuration is screwed up.
Can some one point out how to retrive the SAP standard configuration( where it is stored ). In the configuration tab of the view the configuration looks ok but in Web UI I see all the columns available in the context node, and makes the view useless, when I go to the personlization of the view all fields shows the message < Error in Meta data > and I can not see the details of the fields.
I have already backed off my enhancement. Now I want to retrive the view configuration.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Issue resolved.
Solution was In BSP workbench when I went to choose configuration I saw that just next to std conf there was column for cust conf. and both were marked X so I deleted the conf and that gave me the standard conf back.
