SAP TechEd - Las Vegas

I know - there is a TechEd forum. I've even looked there. There is general information. However, I'm interested in how many people with interested in MII are going to TechEd?
Is anyone interested in meeting at the Venetian before the keynote on Monday?
I've been reading posts and taking advantage of the forum (And others). I'd love to put some faces with the names.

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to take this opportunity to update you as to recent AccAD related news and invite you to meet face to face :).
As I recently posted, although our SDN and documentation are quite outdated (and we are taking serious steps nowadays to fix this...):
- Currently AccAD 2.2 SP4 is available for download on the SAP marketplace
- In addition our next major release for which we have encorporated much of your requests, AccAD 2.3 is currently undergoing
validation and is expected to enter Ramp Up in Oct of 2011. We will of course update you as soon as the ramp up registration will be happening.
- We will be beginning our next round of development very soon and would like to hear if you have any feedback or feature requests - please feel free to contact me directly at my email (can be found at the contact card of this forum).
As for TechED Las Vegas and SAPPHIRE/TechED Madrid:
I wanted to formally invite you to meet us face to face at these events. If you happen to be there and would like to meet please send me an email.

Good question. There are some additional differences between SAP TechEd '07 Las Vegas and Munich. The core sessions delivered by SAP are the same in each location, with some variation in speakers. Additionally, each location offers different sessions from the external ecosystem of customers, partners, and consultants. The SDN and BPX Community sessions represent such content. In Las Vegas, we also have an additional 100 hours of ASUG customer sessions and Influence sessions, thanks to our partnership with Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG).

TechEd Las Vegas - How to get visa invitation letter

Hi All,
I have already booked my place in TechEd 2008 in Las Vegas. But I need a visa in order to be able to travel to USA. Almost every conference office provides assistance for those who need a visa by sending a reference letter or invitation letter that can be presented to the Embassy.
However there is no information about visa requirements on TechEd's website. I have sent few emails to the email address provided but haven't received any response. I also contacted the hotline but each time they say that they don't deal with this and told me that I have send an email!!
Does anybody have any information regarding visa invitation letter at all? Or may be TechEd Las Vegas is only for those who live in the states.
I would appreciate any information.

Creating Widgets at TechEd Las Vegas 08

If anyone wants help installing the widget develpoment tools, Widget foundation or creating a widget I will be at TechEd Las Vegas this year.
You should be able to find me at community day or around the clubhouse. There are lounges that can be scheduled for groups up to 5, so if you want to walk through an install or have some help creating something specific we can schedule a slot.

Announcement KM on Sap Teched 2008 Las Vegas

Hi,
I was told that at the Sap Teched 2008 in Las Vegas SAP has made the announcement that SAP will phase out Knowlegde Management.
Does anybody knows where I can more information of this announcement ? Has anybody attend this presentation at Sap Teched Las Vegas ?
We has the intention to start with the implementation of KM so this information is very important for us.
I am looking for the "Sap announcements made at las vegas" but I don't find them.
So if anybody can help me ...

Hi Pascale,
I'm not sure where you got your information. No such announcement was made at TechEd. KM is alive and well. It is the basis for a number of Netweaver capabilities like Web Page Composer and Collaboration.
It was announced that the collaboration portal capabilities that we due to be rolled out with the enhancement pack 1 ramp-up this month has been delayed. You can find more about this in an article on SDN here https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-portalandcollaboration.
There is no reason not to go ahead with your KM implementation.

SAP Tech Ed08 : Eligibility

Hello All,
Heard that we get the discounted rates for certifications through SAP Tech ED...
hence wanted to know the eligibility criteria (if company sends/if we attend on our own)...
How much would be the price of the certifications(if company sends or we attend on our own)..Also let me know what documents are needed if we attend on our own without the company sponsorships

Hi,
I can confirm that there will be a 50% certification discount offered at Teched Las Vegas. The details are still being worked out before we confirm that for Berlin and Bangalore but there should be some news going out about that in the next couple of weeks. The testing will not be done at Teched this year as we found that robbed Teched delegates of valuable time to devote to the other Teched areas. We will be offering testing at VUE centers around the US and Canada where you can redeem your 50 % discount for 4 weeks following Teched. In terms of eligibility you will need an SAP User ID but you can apply for that when registering if you don't already have one.
