Sap test system needed / sap test system gebraucht

Hi,
maybe somebody of you could give some hint where I can find a test system for sap in a downloadable version 4.5 upwards. I have an sap mini basis system (mbs) in the version 4.6 (c) , but no valid license key on hand due to the fact that the old one has expired and there would not be any new license key available from sap company itself because of already having done the steps up to the latest version.
If somebody could also advise where to find sap test versions in between 4.5/4.6 and the latest it would fantastic to get to know - I need an test environment for abap programming in the first place.

vielleicht gibt es jemand, der mir sagen kann wie oder wo ich ein Testsystem für die ABAP-Entwicklung bekommen kann.
Ich habe für Windows bereits ein MiniSAP-System in der Version 4.6 (c), bei der der Lizenzkey aber nicht mehr funktioniert, da abgelaufen.
Falls mir jemand einen Lizenzkey für diese Version zur Verfügung stellen kann, wäre mir vorerst sehr damit geholfen.
Aber nichtsdestotrotz würde mich eine neuere Test-Version von SAP sehr interessieren. Falls mir jemand hiervon eine Kopie geben kann oder einen Hinweis darüber wo gebührenfrei oder kostengünstig eine solche zur Verfügung steht oder gestellt wird, wäre ich sehr froh darüber, da sich sicherlich seit 4.6 schon ein wenig geändert haben wird, in Menüs u.a. .

during installation the java installation folder needs to be selected. After having chosen this the installation aborts by showing a message with the options retry, view log, stop.
This message is generated:
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR1 including Enhancement Package 1 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :The subkey 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AntiVirSchedulerService' does not exist on the 'localhost' host.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose View Log to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Programme/sapinst_instdir/NW701/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.
Also some message about my anti-virus software came up saying that there is a problem with with localhost. I have now deinstalled all java from my computer to plainly install the version needed: version jre 1.4.2.x, but I can't find this version in the internet, I mean not in the way that it is obviously the right version. Some description says j2se and other more even though I was googleing for jre 1.4.2 download.
Is there anybody who can advise?

Are there any test community?
I finished my game development, I'm over the test, but need performance test on numerous different real devices. I'm not an employee of a big mobile software company, so I have only one phone (Nokia 7650) to try. The game is platform independent, but there are several limitatons, screen and speed different in each device. It would good thing if a lot of people test my application on his/her own device, and I can write this test result in test reference, and mark if a device is unappropirate for running the applicaton.

Need SAP Test System

My company is building a specialized Java based systems integration tools. We want to test it with SAP. For now, we just want to build a demo that uses Java to invoke BAPIs that manipulate customer/order data.
How can we get an SAP test system set up to do this kind of thing? Is there a trial software program or a developers license?

SAP Business One 8.8 Test System License Expires

Hi all,
I have set up and was using a test and demo system of SAP BO 8.8 on a XP virtual machine running SQL Server express 2005. I used one of my partner licenses for this set-up and imported this. Note that the license server is set-up to run from the same VM.
Although the client seems to be seeing the License server ok it is not recognizing the license file and after the trial period (30 days) the system has stopped allowing access to (almost) all options. Mention is also made to the "End User License".
Does anyone know what may cause this issue?

Could be in part correct although the license was a full indefinite one. I think the problem was that I had never "signed" the mend user license agreement... seems to be a new screen in the set-up.
I have now downloaded a new license and fill in this detail and all seems well.

Error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite

I am getting error while installing Mini SAP Basis system 4.6D test suite on my laptop. I trying to install this version under Windows Xp. I tried so many times to rectify this error but no use. i followed the instruction in the readme file.The error is below in quote.
"InstController MakeStepsDeliver:108 connection to GUI of installation tool has been cut off.Installation has been stopped."

I founded the following error (in SAP Web AS Connection / Tests the connection to an SAP Web Application Server )

1. Checks the validity of system ID in the system object.
2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
6. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
7. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
Results
1. The system ID is valid
2. The system was retrieved.
3. The system object represents an SAP system
4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200)
5. The host name htc-svr-erp.humantech.es was resolved successfully.

Connection test for connectors(SAP R3 system) fail

Hi,
I got an EP system and connected to one existing R/3 system.For the same i have defined it in system landscape of EP.System administration ---> system configuration ---> system landscape.In property editor i have deined all the min required properties.

Remote Host Type       3

The system intially works fine.But when
1)There are more users it gives connection error.
2)If there are not much users then also After some time it automatically shows connection error.
Then when I do Connection Test for Connectors,it shows "X" failed.
What I usally try to do,I restart the SQL server.
But this method does not work.I have to restart the EP.Then again the system works fine.
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of SAP R3 object setting.

Thanks for your answer.Actaully I have miss interpreted the problem.Sorry Problem is not with in the SAP R3.
Connection problem is like this::
I have defined a system EPSQL(system alias for MS SQL sever DB) for my EP instance
To connect to database.
The connection tests to the alias is ok.
But as more and more users try connecting to the db the connection test fails.
Restarting the SQL server doesnt help.
I have to restart the EP instance to get over the problem
I think there are something wrong input in the property value of object setting.or,EP maintains some timeout or max user info...
Do u have any solution?

Need suggession on best Storage systems fro SAP.

We are at starting stage of SAP core project implementation with EHp4, so we would like to take your suggestions and recommendations on storage systems.
The current storage we are using is Dell EMC CX700 (SAN).
Weu2019ve narrowed down to two vendorsu2019 i.e., Hitachiu2019s AMS 2500 and EMCu2019s CX4-480
Currently we have high speed servers in place and running only with MM, SD and FI (we will not be changing the servers).
Please see the server configurations.
Note: we have 3 servers
1. CI server (ECC 6.0)
2. DB server (SQL 2005)
3. Load balancing server (additional application server)

ChaRM: Role Developer needs to test in QAS system

We are about to implement and use Solman ChaRM approach.
One interesting point is:
the developer should have the possibility within the urgent correction to test the transport in QAS system.
If everything is ok, then the transport should go to QAS system.

i am currently customizing charm security, i am trying to use sap_socm_admin role and copying it to customer namespace like
zsap_socm_developer, zsap_socm_manager etc, and trying to enforce restrictions by adding or removing auth keys under the auth object b_userstat . My problem is when i do that these roles are missing other authorizations to perform small functions like displaying logs and things like that.
so i wanted to know if there is any role ( single of composite ) that i can use to copy for all my users and i can simply restrict the clicking on actions ( authorize CR, set in development ..etc) by removing or adding just the auth key, i mean only the auth key...i dont care if they have auth to projects or task list or what ever i just want to restrict by the actions they can perform.

Interface from Legacy system to Sap

I worked in the functional design and implementation of an interface that works to update sales order from a legacy system to Sap
Now after some test, i receive the ok to move all the program in production enviroment
I'd like to know and to be sure of all the step to be checked and needed. The mail one for sure are related the data. So I checked all the custom table I created for this purpose.

'Custom tables': Why did you create custom tables? Don't you just use a BAPI to update / create Sales Order?
What do you mean by interface? An RFC (remote enabled function module)?
In general: Everything you have developed for this, should be in a transport request. I you want to check this, go to the package you created for this development in transaction SE80. Start from the (RFC) interface and check everything this function module needs to function like data elements, domains, structures etc.
You do need to create new rfc destinations in SM59 (in case you are updating sales order via RFC interface.
Haven't you moved it from development to quality before?

This describes how to connect an SAP R/3 system to SAP NetWeaver Portal using an iView
1)      Go to System Administration
2)      Go to System Configuration
3)      Go to Portal Content (Right Side Panel), open that folder.
4)      Right Click on Portal Content, a Panel is displayed select "System (from Template)".
5)      That will display a new view on right side, now select "SAP system using dedicated application server" from
the existing templates. (Other templates are possible - for example, load balanced or through a SAProuter connection string).
For this exercise, we'll use the simplest type.
6)      Choose next
7)      Give the System Name and System Id (which are mandatory fields) incase you want to give any brief notes
about the system then give them in the "Description" field.
8)      Open the Newly Created System.
9)      Now when you want to create a New System, you have to fill four Properties they are:
"Connector" - contains basic connectivty details
"Internet transaction Server (ITS) - if you wish to use SAPGUI for HTML and/or IACs",
"Web Application Server" - if you wish to access BSPs and/or Web Dynpro for ABAP and
"User Management".
You also need at least one "System Alias" has to be defined from the Display drop down menu.
Make sure you have set end user access in the Permissions drop down menu to all users who need to access the system
10) Select "Connector" property, now fill the required fields such as:
a)      Application Host (should be fully qualified hostname) - Give the R/3 "Application Name",
which can be obtained from the SAP Logon Pad (check what R/3 system you are using, right click on it , go to the properties,
it will open a window which has the Application Server Name.
b)      Logical System Name - Give the logical name as defined in the backend system
c)      SAP Client - Check the Client in the backend system and give the appropriate number (3 digits)
d)      SAP System ID(SID)* - Check the R/3 properties and give the check for System ID
e)      System Type* - Since we are connecting to R/3, select SAP_R3 system.
f)       System Number - This is a two digit number that you can find in the SAP Logon Pad
11) Select "Internet transaction Server (ITS)" property, now fill the required fields like
a)      ITS Description à Give some Description
b)      ITS Host Name - Same as "Application Host" of R/3 (when integrated ITS) and should be attached with the
port number of ITS Server (to get port number detailed description is given below). ex: hostname : port number
c)      ITS Path - To get the path along with the port number you have to Log on to R/3 system. Use the
Transaction Code "SICF", it opens a new window go to:
      default_host -> sap -> bc -> gui -> sap -> its -> webgui -> SAP GUI for HTML -> right click on
that and click "Test Service'. This will open a new window, on the address bar you will find the "port number", and
the path something like (/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui). Use the path after the port number.
d)      ITS Protocol - There are two protocols "http" & "https", select the appropriate protocol which is
visible when you opened "Test Service" window.
12) Select "Web Application Server" property , now fill the required fields like
a)      Web AS Description -> Give some Description
b)      Web AS Host Name - same as ITS Host Name
c)      Web AS Path - usually /sap/bc/bsp/sapd)*
Web AS Protocol - should be same as the ITS Protocol.
13)   Select "User Management" property, now fill the required fields like
a)      Authentication Ticket Type - Since we are not using SSO leave the field
empty i.e. put in select mode. (Please note that longer term you will probably want to use SSO)
b)      Logon Method - Select UIDPW.
c)      User Mapping Type - In case you have administration rights then you choose "admin" or in case you
just have user rights then choose "user", better go for "admin/user".
14)   Since all the required fields are filled appropriately now create a System Alias name, this can be done by following steps:
a) go to Display -> Select "System Aliases" give some Alias Name, let's call it "SAP_R/3"
15) Now that System is created we have to create a iView which will display the given Transaction Code.
16) Go To "Content Administration".
17) Go To "Portal Content".
18) Go to Portal Content (Right Side Panel), open that folder
19) Right Click on Portal Content, a Panel is displayed select "New" -> iView
20) Select iView template, click next
21) Select "SAP Transaction iView" from the list of templates available. Click next.
22) Give the iView name and iView ID. Incase you want to give any brief notes about the iView then give it in "Description" field. Click next
23)   Select "SAP GUI for HTML" radio button. Click next
24) Now select the system which you have create "SAP_R/3", give some Transaction Code, say SE12 (Dictionary Display). Click next and Finish.
25) Now Preview the iView
26) You will see a new Window where in SE12 Dictionary Display window is displayed.

If the locale for the Web Dynpro iView is changed in the portal (through portal personalization), this is not reflected in the running login session. The user needs to logoff and login again, in order to see the locale change in the Web Dynpro iView.

SAP B1 Integration with third party system

Dear all,
i want to connect some parts of SAP Business One with my Webinterface. I have installed the Netweaver integration tool (B1i). Does somebody know if I can use this tool to connect SAP B1 also to another system then only R/3. And if yes how can I create the new langscape?

thanks a lot. I also saw your documentation you wrote about the integration tool in January 2006. Technicle it should be possible for my system, but I need to test it...
I have now one important license-question:
1) The integration tool is free if I have a SAP B1 license, isn't it?
2) Lets say 10 of my employees enter master data in 5 different companies of my webinterface. Each employee has his own user account on my webinterface. Now the entered data in the different databases (companies) are sent to SAP B1 thru the integration tool and master data are created in SAP B1 in 5 different Databases (companies). NOBODY is logged in SAP B1 directly. All Data are comming thru the integration tool, but from different Webinterface-User and for different Databases. How many licenses in that case I would need for SAP Business One? Just one for the integration tool as the only direct-user of SAP B1 in that case, or 10 for the different accounts on my webinterface from which the data are comming from?

How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI

I just read "How to Reconcile Data Between SAP Source Systems and SAP NetWeaver BI". While I'm waiting for more authorisation to r/3 to carry it out and test this functionality.
I'd like to ask a question to anyone who has implemented this type solution. On page 10 it talks about creating a view then setting up the datasource. The solution talks about runnig a query. I suspect when we run a query I would run it for only a period(using variable) to reconcile.
My question is this. Will the datasource extractor on /r3 only select the period in our variable or will it do a full selection of the data which would then be passed to BW for filtering?

DEar Mark,
There are several avenues where you can see and reconcile your data with source system, u can see data in by tcode RSA3 for a datasource, and compare the values with actual document posted into the R/3 system. Respective fuctional consultant canhelp you a lot to confirm the data.
On BW side u can see the data in PSA and then check tranformations which subsequent change/update/reject data records based on the selective conditions.
