SAP to Biztalk communication
Hi All
I have generated a XML file which would be send to Biztalk, but before that, I have to process that XML file, Actually I am using Standard IDOC DELVRY03, I only require some header and item fields from IDOC.
But now the XML which is generated is for the whole DELVRY03 IDOC, so how can I process that XML file with the required field and then send it to Biztalk, any idea, any help, any suggestion.............would be highly appreciated.
Regards
AJ
Hi All
I am using a standard IDOC for outbound process DELVRY03, Actually they dont want all the header and item fields from IDOC delvry03, the XML which is genrated from SAP should be only of the required fields in Biztalk, bcoz they have their only schema.
is it possible to supress fields of IDOC or can we do any thing at Biztalk side.
cheers

Sizing for SAP BCM (Business Communication Management)
Hi All
We have to provide a server sizing to be used for SAP BCM (Business Communication Management) module which will be intergrated with SAP CRM and is to be used for call support. As far as we have reached, we require a Windows server and will host MS SQL database with an approx consumer data of 63 lacs consumers.
Please specify the sizing for this server
Thanks in advance
LokeshSorry, forgot to ask how much physical memory you have on each host.
Let's split it to 2 topics.
1. For ECC, since OracleDB and non-unicode page which are the 2 major factors won't be changed, so I would think here we could just do a math, as long as host A has enough memory which is allocated for Oracle and ECC (extended memory) on host B to be added up.
2. For EP, memory tuning size is basically the same for HP JDK and SUN JDK, that each server node is allocated approximately 2.5GB RAM. Besides, 0.8-1GB RAM needs to be left for OS kernel. But in your case, host B is currently holding 200 users which is a big jump for host A(note: only active user quantity matters here).
That's fine if main physical memory is a little short for host A, utilizing multiple less powerful servers as 2nd tier application server to do the load balancing is also a solution with lower TCO.

Problem with adapter SAP for Biztalk
Hello,
I'm sorry for my bad english, I'm french.
I installed the SAP GUI 7.20 adapter for use in BizTalk Editor.
Today, I recovered data from SAP but I get an error message:
Details:"System.Transactions.TransactionException: The operation is not valid for the state of the transaction.
at System.Transactions.TransactionState.EnlistVolatile(InternalTransaction tx, IEnlistmentNotification enlistmentNotification, EnlistmentOptions enlistmentOptions, Transaction atomicTransaction)
at System.Transactions.Transaction.EnlistVolatile(IEnlistmentNotification enlistmentNotification, EnlistmentOptions enlistmentOptions)
at Microsoft.BizTalk.Adapter.Wcf.Runtime.TxnBatch2..ctor(IBTTransportProxy transportProxy, ControlledTermination control, Transaction transaction, ManualResetEvent orderedEvent, Boolean makeSuccessCall)
at Microsoft.BizTalk.Adapter.Wcf.Runtime.BizTalkDeleteTxn.Execute(BizTalkExecutionContext executionContext)".
You should know that this error happens after about 20 minutes (though all are binding timeout to 1 hour). The XML file must be recovered about 50MB to 70MB.
The adapter he has a volume limit ? What can match this error message?
thank you for your response.
Aurelien.Hello Vandec,
We may not be able to give you a good response to your query since it's not a GUI issue.

Does BizTalk adapter pack 2010 support SAP ECC6 EHP5?

None specifically says it supports ECC 6.0 EHP5. But, I was able to find several posts that they are integrating with SAP ECC 6 EHP5 using BizTalk adapter. However, I would like to make sure whether Microsoft officially supports or not in case of technical
issue occurs.
Does anyone have an answer?I appreciate your response but I'm afraid that the information you have given is what I looked up before and thought they can't be an answer. As I already have stated in my question, I found several posts saying that they are integrating with ECC 6.0 EHP5
with BizTalk Adapter. With that, I can assume the BizTalk Adapter would work with EHP5 of ECC 6.0 as EHP is just an EnHancement Package. However, it does not mean Microsoft will support it when there is a technical issue unless it is stated so. So, what I
want to confirm here is more about liability. I cannot suggest my client to use BizTalk based on assumption.
To save anyone else's time, following are SAP versions supported by each BizTalk Adapter pack. None specifically mentions EHP 5. Can anyone from Microsoft or partner confirm this??

Thanks,The IDOC has not arrived in BizTalk, that's why you do not see it. The problem is that the IDOC fails at adapter level, when the SAP RFC Library is called.
The actual problem is that the IDOC you are receiving is containing unreleased segments and that's not supported, you should contact your SAP administrator to get this problem resolved.
If I'm not mistaken it's transaction WE30 in SAP, there you have to select the IDOC type (ORDERS05 in your case) and then you can set the release. But your SAP administrator will probably know better how to do this

T-SQL: Random Equal Distribution
Jinchun Chen: "Nice."
JS: "The crucial thing about such a procedure is to check the data before the randomization and afterwards. You might encounter situations where "John Smith" and "John Meyers" might have exchanged their First names
which is technically correct, but logically and obviously wrong. So make sure that there is one additional check afterwards that makes sure that eventual privicy concerns will not survive the random process. Normally this would not happen, but I have already
checked this is one of my older blog entries, where we exactly had that problem obfuscating data to make that operational and live data will not be recognized afterwards. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jenss/archive/2009/04/08/when-is-random-random-enough.aspx In
addition to this some attributes are sticky to each other like gender and First Name. You also have to make sure that your distribution might change statistically in relation to other attributes."

DataCleanUp() Function Implementation in MS SQL Server
Jinchun Chen: "Good."
JS: "-Does actually not work for Case senstive areas where I want to remoce certain Upper/lower case characters. This might be not interesting for some people, but is extremely important and relevant to other people. The limitation is
that I can´t pass multiple values to be removed from the string, right ? Could this be implemented as well as many people wash out their data from unused / unimportant control characters. "I have tested it on a table which has got more than 11 Million
rows and it executed fine returning the correct results. Since this is a scalar function you will notice decrease in performance." Once you want to maintain the old data and keep the new cleaned up one seperately, you could suggest something like persisting
the data in a computed column which could be indexed and then help improving the performance. This would not be the case for any adhoc queries though."
Richard Mueller: "Very clever and also very useful. There should be links to references, for example to explain the PATINDEX function."

Unable to create Business Layer on top of SAP BW OLAP Connection - BI 4.0
Friends,
Need an useful information, why can't we create a business layer on top of SAP BW OLAP connection which is built with BICS driver.
Today when i tried to create a business layer in IDT tool of BI 4.0 it didnt allow me to do so. Is it a s/w bug or am i following a wrong approach. I do know, we can create a .unx universe through relational connection. But i dont want that, please provide your input.
thanks,
TilakHi,
this question has been asked many times before, so a search will reveal your answer.
as the warning told you when you tried the workflow in IDT - business layers aren't supported for Bics connections - i.e. you can't create a UNX ontop of Bex using BICS..
unfrotunately, it was a strategic product decision that seemingly can't be reversed/influenced, despite the inherent problems this causes.
There are lots of requests for this feature to be restored, on the Ideas Place here: https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/community/ideas/businessanalytics/sbosemanticlayer
Please search and Vote for one.

Configuring a Communication Channel for an AE other than the default IS
Configuring a Communication Channel for an Adapter Engine other than the default engine.
See: help.sap.com for Communication Channel http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1b/d5ef3b1ad56d4fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
It states under 'Adapter Configuration', that you can specify the Adapter Engine you want to use in the Adapter Engine dropdown box.
I have activated the XI components on my ERP system using transaction SICF, but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
Maybe some background would be helpful: This is for a scenario that will send a file from an external system to one of the ERP systems in our landscape. BUT, the system admins have decided to revoke our FTP accounts (because they have their reasons), so I need to create a File Adapter that will drop the file on the file system of that ERP system, due to visibility I want to use the integrated Adapter Engine that comes with the ERP system, but need to know how/what I'm missing in setting up this scenario.Hi Anesh,
>>>>but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
in order to use some other adapter engine you
have to install it first by dafault only one
(central) adapter engine is used and it is all
most clients need
if you'd like to use some other adapter engine
(decentralized for example) have a look at thid guide:
<b>Configuring a Local Adapter Engine to Work with a Central Instance</b>

hope this will help u.

Communication Details Vendor Master SMART FORM Printing.
