SAP to Mail or FAX

Hi
I need to send mail or fax of PO to my customer.
For this, I had configured the settings in transcation SCOT.
In SCOT, In SMTP Connection node I have mentioned Mail Host.
After that, I went to ME22 and entered an PO number.
Header --> Messages, I have mentioned the output type as NEU, Simple Mail,
Venor number and Language and in Communication method under recipient mentioned the email id of the customer.
when I save status is in Red color and saying not processed.
Infact I have maintained in NACE transaction for NEU Output Type I have given Simple mail as medium and saved.
Is there any thing I have to do to make the processing status to Green.
I couldnt get succedded in sending the document.
Could anyone please help out in this situation.
Is there any other method to proceed further in this scenerio.
If so, please send me the document to [email protected] which explains step by step solution.

Select the output message and click on the processing log.
It would tell you what must have gone wrong.
Then you can debug the driver program(Find from nace transaction).
How to debug:
Go to the messages (Click on messages button) in me22n
Give the output type and click on further data.
Choose the dispatch option as the first one(send with periodically scheduled job).
Come back and click the save button.
Put a break point in the drviver program.
Run the program RSNAST00.
Give the object key as the PO number.
It will stop at the break point.

I am using a standard program where it is coded to have either of the option. i.e. either we have to go for a printer or e-mail or FAX.

Sending Payment Advices Via E-mail or Fax

SAP Gururs,
We recently implemented ACH payment method, we are sending ACH payment advices via e-mail or fax. However the need to maintain various e-mails or a combination of e-mail and fax is necessary.
Example #1
I have 2 e-mail address one for our purchase department and the other for the vendor I only want the vendor to receive payment advices, the other e-mail is use to send other information to vendor. How do I control this type of scenario.
Example #2,
I have a fax number and E-mail, but vendor wants payment advice to be send via fax and not e-mail. I did this testing by selecting the "Do Use Communication for e-mail" but I still got an e-mail and not a fax.
Example # 3,
I have various fax numbers 1 use for payment advices, the other to send other information to other users to the vendor such as matrixes, price disputes etc. how can I control this.
Does any one has any additional information on these topics I will truly appreciate.

You can copy the function module to "Z" function module and modify it accordingly. Then you can use your customized FM here.
This triggers an email of payment advice, provided if you have maintained Email Address in the Vendor Master "Address" Tab and the Standard Communication Method is "INT - Email"
You can see the email that is being triggered / delivered in transaction code SOST.
To deliver the emails settings in SCOT are being completed by Basis consultants and the gateways must have been opened. Except production environment, normally the gateways are closed in development or QA environment in order to avoid sending wrong payment advices outside.

Marketing Documents distribution via e-mail or fax add-on

We are looking for an add-on which can e-mail customer automatically that their order has been processed for shipment as soon as the order are added in SAP B1. Also the capability that the Invoice are automatically e-mailed or faxed based on customer preference.

Does anybody know a way to apply a prefix to lines of text (such as e-mail:, contact:, fax:) without manually entering the prefix a million times or copying and pasting for each instance? Is there any way to automate this utilizing style sheets or something? It is for a directory with tons of entries. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If each of the special prefixes corresponds to an identifiable field in the source text, such as a database file or spreadsheet, the text prefix can be added by programming the database, or creating a calculated column in the spreadsheet. To format the prefixes separately from the text that follows, use a nested character style, or a GREP style within the paragraph style; both a nested style and aGREP style need some kind of identifiable pattern to detect where to begin and end the prefix style.
Search Google for terms like "InDesign data merge," "InDesignGREP paragraph style," "InDesign nested paragraph style," and similar terms for more information on these topics.
InDesign's Data Merge has some ability to close up the blank lines when a data field is missing, depending on the layout. One example is when some addresses require two lines, but others require only one line.

SAP Inbox mail not working

When I am sending mail from my SAP Inbox to other User SAP inbox, mail is not going into other user sap inbox.
Let say User A is send SAP inbox email to User B sap inbox, User B does not get email in his SAP Inbox even we selected Receipent type "SAP Logon Name". Instead mail is going to email address mentioned in SU01. I removed email address from SU01 even mail is not coming to SAP User Inbox.
I think this is defualt configuration sap has provided in all SAP system but some how it is not working.
anybody has any idea.

Dear Manish Patel!
Please check whether you have activated the mail system group in your system. In this case the received mails will go automatically to user's home mail address, defined in tr. SU01 for user.
To check the mail system group:
-Tr. SO16 >> Tab "Mail sy. grp." >> check the checkbox "Send to home Addresses of Users"
If this is set, please uncheck it (check the checkbox "No Mail System Group") and test the behaviour again.

Payment advice through E mail or Fax

Dear Gurus,
My client wants to send the payment advice generated by the automatic payment program (F110) to his vendors through Email and/or Fax
ie at the end of the APP run, the payment advice should be sent through Fax or mail by the system.

Accounting Clerk not extended to SAP Connect (SOST) with fax

Hi,
Hope you can help me with my below issue.
I am sending payment advice notes with program: RFFOEDI1 and RFFOUS_T
through transaction F110...I am happy with the payment advice note we
send with e-mail and it works fine because it does extend Accounting
Clerk as a sender in SOST. The problem comes in when the vendor's
standard of communication method is fax and we have maintained the
accounting clerk in the vendor master. So when you try to send vendor's
payment advice note through F110, It does NOT extend Accounting Clerk
information to SOST as a sender.
Can you please help asap.

SAP Internet Mail Gateway for MS Exchange 2003 Server

Has anybody successfully configured the IMG to work with MS Exchange 2003?
We have our 4.6C currently configured to talk to Exchange 2000 through SXC
Note 594428 - SXC: Exchange 2003 Server is not supported
Solution
R/3 Basis Release 3.1I to 4.6D:
Use IMG 4.6D and sendmail instead of the SXC (see note 101573), or
Upgrade your SAP system to Web Application Server (WAS) 6.10 or later and then use the SMTP plugin.
We only use outbound mail from SAP and this is sent to intranet users only, we are not planning on upgrading for a at least a year and would like to avoid installing another mail server.
Note 363154 - Internet mail gateway: use other MTA than Sendmail
This note suggests that any MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) can be used so long as it can be called from the command line, Exchange is an MTA, anybody now how to do a command line call for Exchange?

we are in the process of configuring the Internet Mail Gateway on R/3 4.6c on Unix platform.
I have created the RFC Destinations in SM59 and also checked the Test Connection and its working fine. I then did the Unix configuration and went on to the check whether the configuration was successful in SO01 by sending a sample text message to my company's mail address. but i did not recieve any mails on my Microsoft Outlook, instead the count under the errors column increased by one.
on checking the status for the sent message in SO01, its saying "No Delivery to [email protected](for reason, see long text)... but there's no long text either...
Can anyone please let me know the reasons for it and it would also be really helpful if someone can let me know whether i have missed any configuration settings.
Also, can someone send the list of parameters that are to be entered for the Unix configuration under mlsomadm mailgw.ini, so that i can verify whether i have entered the parameters correctly....
Kindly revert back at the earliest...
