SAP vs NAT enabled customer networks

Hi,
We're currently planning to have NAT enabled customer networks connect to our centrally hosted SAP systems(private IP range). Anyone in the forum that has any negative experiences with this kind of setup?
Have done some searchs on service.sap.com and sdn but no "hits" so far.
Logon towards the SAP system should be ok with the correct routing.
But is there any problems with ex.:
Print from the centrally hosted SAP system -> Customer NAT network?
RFC from the centrally hosted SAP system -> Customer NAT network?
DB links from the centrally hosted SAP system -> Customer NAT network?
Other potensial problems?
Will correct routing fix this?
Best Regards Rikard

Hi,
Thanks for your reply Slava.
And good point

    Dear Phillip,
Cloud enabled software can be easily deployed on-premises but not vice versa.
this could probably be the deciding factory, for every customer : - )
no one would want to block their future...
so even for on-premise, its better to start with cloud and go for hybrid model and i believe
    if this lock is there.....
then every on-premise solutions will have a cloud solution.....
want to see your argument on, any one thinking, i want only on-premise, and i will not be needing
cloud solutions in near future..... also for hybrid customers, cloud first and then on-premise would be pain area.

  • Setting required to create Business partner record in SAP GTS for the customer who transferred from the SAP ECC system

    Dear Experts,
Can you please suggest me list of activities require to automatically  create Business partner record in SAP GTS for the customer who transferred from the SAP ECC system .
i.e If I create the customer master record and transfer the same CMR to SAP GTS , what are the setting requires to maintain in SAP GTS sytem to automatically create the Business partner .
    Ram

    Hi Raghu,
Below are the main settings required to enable you to transfer Customer Master Data to SAP GTS. Please note that their is a difference between, Customer Master Record and Customer Master Data in terms of data and for GTS, we transfer Customer Master Data. Hence, below are the settings required:-
    In SAP ECC system:-
Activate the change pointers for Customer Master Data apart from enabling basic connection settings.
Schedule a job to run at regular intervals to transfer all the customer master data for the available change pointers to the SAP GTS system
      2.  In SAP GTS system:-
Maintain the Mapping for ECC Customers to SAP GTS Business Partners in the General settings area of the SPRO in SAP GTS system
Ensure that the Number range is maintained for those GTS  Business Partners.
Also, some time you may be required to maintain the organisational structure to ensure full working.
I hope this will be helpful to you.

    Aman

I have just updated my iPhone 4s to IOS 6 and there is no option to enable custom virbrate. any ideas?
its ok i found how to do it

Glad you found it. I believe it is under the Sounds settings, right? And I also believe you can custom set vibrations for each contact just as you can change text tones by editing the contact and selecting text tone or ringtone.

  • Include all updates for Office 2010 PP during custom network install

    Hello...
I'm currently doing a custom network install of Office 2010 Professional Plus 32bit edition. The custom install is working fine with the MSP file in the \Updates folder.
I would now like to add all of the current updates, hotfixes, and service packs to the \Update folder so that Office 2010 is completely up-to-date when being deployed. I understand that I need to put the MSP files for these updates, hotfixes, and service
    packs in the \Updates folder.
    A couple questions:
1 - Is there one place that I can download all of the Office 2010 PP 32bit edition updates, hotfixes, and service packs... Excluding any 64bit edition updates? A repository of some sort?
2 - I'm assuming that if the hotfixes, and updates are downloaded as .CAB, I first need to extract it, get the .MSP file and put that into the \Updates folder?
3 - I think Service Packs come down as .exe's??!! If so, do I just put the .exe files in the \Update folder as well or do I need to run something special to extract them like I do with the .CAB files
I appreciate any help someone can give. If there is a better way to accomplish this, I'm open to all suggestions :)
    Thanks... Frank

  • FM to check if SAP or e.g. customer system?

    Hello ABAP experts,
is there a function module to check if the current system is an SAP or e.g. a customer system?
Can FM INT_VCM_GET_SYSTEM_DATA be used for this?

    Hi Edgar,
no, I just would like to have an indicator/flag to find out if the current system is e.g. an internal SAP system or a customer system (where e.g. special care has to be taken when running eCATTs for example).

I get this message when I try to TCP/IP settings in any network card.
"In Order to Configure TCP/IP, You Must Install and Enable a Network Adapter Card"
    What I have tried:
    1. Removed card, did not click on "Remove driver". Then re-scanned in device manager. This usually leads to the network card showing up with a yellow exclamation mark, and I can not get it work again (have to use system restore).
    2. Removed card, deinstalled driver, re-installed driver.
    3. Rebooted a thousand times.
    4. Used the Lenovo drivers.
    5. Used the Intel drivers.
Doesn't matter what I do, I'm stuck with yellow exclamation marks in the end for the LAN and WLAN card, with not hope to repair them.
Driver version for the Intel 82579LM is 12.9.15.0
Driver version for the centrino advanced-n 6205 is 15.10.4.2
I'd really like some help on how to fix this so I'm able to configure my network manually.

  • Dynamic interface: dynamic AP management + NAT enabled

    Hello,
I would like to ask for I have not found any supporting documents with regard to my concern.
I would like to deploy our 2504 WLC connecting 600 Series OEAPs to it using a dynamic interface with dynamic AP management and NAT enabled disabling the management interface's dynamic AP management and NAT. Apparently, I was not able to connect the OEAPs to the WLC. But if I change the setting in using the management interface instead of my created dynamic interface, with dynamic AP management and NAT enabled, the OEAP successfully joins the controller.
Are there any solutions that I could use a dynamic interface as ap-manager with NAT or is it that the management interface can only be used?
    Cheers!

IIRC, you need the OEAP to join to the management address since that is where you will be entering the nat'd address. So using a dynamic interface will not work and really can only work when APs are local mode.

  • Connecting an 802.11n Express to an older WEP-enabled WDS network

I have a domed 802.11g Extreme base station connected to an older (802.11g) Express in a 128-bit WEP enabled WDS network - works great.
I recently purchased a new 802.11n Express and would like to add it as another remote in my WDS. The new Airport Setup Utility will not allow me to set up the new Express as a remote in a WDS network with 128-bit WEP. The closest I can get is WEP Transitional Security Network. When setting it up this way, it demanded a 13-character password -- which I dutifully supplied AFTER changing the password on my domed Extreme to the same thing. After all this effort - the new Express won't get past the blinking yellow light thus requiring me to reset it using the manual reset button.
I can get this same unit to "join" my existing network just fine. In that case, it accepts 128-bit WEP without a whimper.
Is there a basic compatibility problem here? Can I get the new unit to connect to the old 128-bit WEP network by using Transitional Security Network? Do I need to update the whole network to WPA? Or is there some other issue here that has nothing to do with the security issue?
    Thanks for any help.

Hello Tim Hopmann. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
You should be able to access the "earlier" WEP modes by first changing the radio mode on the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) to one of the non-"n" modes. To do so, just be sure to hold down the <Option> key before making the radio mode selection in the AirPort Utility. Once you choose one of these non-"n" modes, the WEP 40 & 128-bit options become available.
