hi
could any;body explain the process of how to transfer the material from storage location to warehouse and
warehouse to warehouse .
non warehouse to with warehouse .
can u explain step by step .

Hi,
Before explaining the difference of material stock transfer with or without WM in SAP system, let's clarify two different levels IM and WM:
IM -- Inventory Management, all materials will be managed at this level without WM module activated;
WM -- Warehouse Management, if WM is activated at some one storage location, then all materials at the storage location will be managed at WM level, that is to say at storage bin level.
So we can see the difference processes of stock transfer as follows:
Storage location to Storage location without WM: When do it with MIGO or MB1B, system will only generate the material document to record the operation of stock transfer in SAP system, the stock will be transferred to the destination storage location automatically;
Storage location without WM to Storage location with WM: Under this scenario, because the destination storage location with WM, after do it with MIGO or MB1B, you need to create the transfer order or let system generate it automatically. The stock will not be transferred to the destination until the transfer order is confirmed;
Storage location to Storage location with WM: At this scenario, you need to create two transfer orders, the first one is for the pick up process from source bin of the first storage location, the other one is for the put away process to destination bin of the second storage loction.

Transferring material from asset to stock

Dear Experts,
I seek your suggestion on the following:-
I procure 100 Qty of material for asset under construction(AuC) by creating PO with assigning Account Assignment Category A. And do the GR.
Now 20 quantities out of 100 are not required for that asset under construction.
Can I transfer those 20 qty to stock or consumption during the or at year end?
Thereby I can reduce AuC value by 20 Qty and increase stock or consumtion by 20 Qtys.
Can this be done?

Actually, we have a few materials that can be used for regular consumption and for AuC also.
Therefore, We need to transfer surplus quqntities for AuC to regular stock or consumption.
Is there any work around?

Transfer of material from R/3 to APO, Problem in Integration model

Hi
I have created Integration model for Transferring material from R/3 to APO.
While activating the model, it is giving error with status as i..e. SYSFAIL
On clicking the status, I am getting the following message
"Logical system R3CON does not assigned to Business System Group"
?Where to locate the BSG in R/3 and assign before transferring matl to APO
i require the steps&help to solve the problem.

Pls check you have followed the below steps in the same sequence for R3 and APO
CIF Settings in R/3
Check ALE settings or activate ALE settings
Define the logical system BD54
Assign logical system to a client SCC4
Set the RFC destination SM59
Assign target system and queue type CFC1
Maintain the SAP APO release NDV2
Activate BTEs for SAP APO integration BF11
User parameters for CIF CFC2
CIF Settings in APO
Check ALE settings or activate ALE settings
Define the logical system BD54
Assign logical system to a client SCC4
Set the RFC destination SM59
Set up business system group
Create BSG /SAPAPO/C1
Assign logical systems to BSG /SAPAPO/C2
Maintain distribution definitions /SAPAPO/CP1
User parameters for CIF /SAPAPO/C4
You have got stuck up somewhere in R3 setting , which I have marked in italic font i.e.Assign target system and queue type CFC1

While creating good issue to production from warehouse using MB1A with movement typw 261 the stock from storage bin is not removed. While using T-code MMBE t-code the stock is nil. If i use t-code LS24 its shows the stock. I want to remove the stock in warehouse storagebin.
How to solve this.

SPRO-IMG-Logistics Execution-Activities-Transfers-Define Movement Types check here for movement type 261 & also check interim storage type is defined or not.
Also check in search strategy for storage type, storage section,storage bin.
Path is

Creation of Material from SAP VIEW using CDESK.

Hi Experts,
I have one question related to creation of Material from SAP View.
CAD file created say SM1000.prt
Create DIR in CAD View say SM1000
Scenario 1 :   Create Material in Background from CAD VIEW or SAP VIEW from cad desktop, It creates material SM1000
                           in background.
Scenario 2 : Open CDESK ( Transaction)
                        Click on OPEN,
                        Selecting the DIR created SM1000
                        Create the material in background in SAP View, it gives message " enter material number"
Why am not able to create the material from SAP view using CAD Desktop. If any modifications needs to be done in CDESK CUS to solve this please let me know.

Hi Sudharshan,
maybe the reason for this is that your CAD applications provides a special material number and the customizing in CDESK is defined to use this number. In this case the number or value can by provided from the CAD application only from the CAD View.
In the SAP view the material gets created like in MM01 for example and so mabye you have to enter a material number.

And now a second newbie question. I have downloaded the additional content and booted up logic for the first time, but the apple loops have not installed and logic is asking me to reinstall the apple loops. But how do I do that? I can see they are in the libray so have downloaded.

SAP Report for Material purchased from Vendors

Can anyone tell me if there is a report in SAP that we can use to list all suppliers for a given material? We are operating in SAP ECC6.0 and need a report that will list all vendors that the company has used for a given part. Is there a standard report in SAP that pulls information from purchasing info records?
Also does anybody know of any SAP consultants that can help us create custom reports?

There is not standard report for ageing... You have to develop a custom one if you are talking in terms of GR/IR...

u cant see any restricted stock in MMBe
it is GR blocked stock and blocked stock or reserved stock

ALE IDOC Transfering Material Master From One Client to Another Client

I am using ALE Idoc transfering material master from one client to another client with MATMAS msgtype the details of Idoc received on receiver side is showing message i.e no Idoc is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction.
As I am new to ALE/IDOCS , I am transferring material master from one client to another client with in same system on IDES using ALE/Idocs the details of IDOC received on receiver side is showing message i.e no IDOC is selected at receiving side after passing partner number in WE02 transaction and showing current status 51 instead of 53 i.e no details of IDOC is received at receiver side using MATMAS Message-Type. Hello Naveen,
If the connection is available (test with SM59 + Connection identifier),
after choosing your Connection you can test the connection:
you might find the idocs with the daate when they where sent in SM58:
The message says in this case there was no service, there might also be other errors like "wrong password" and so on.
After solving the error, you can restart sending the idoc from this screen.

Transfer of Stock from Warehouse to Warehouse

Hi ,
I have the following query.
Warehouse 1 is assigned to Plant 100 and Storage location 10.
But now the client wants to assign Warehouse 2 to Plant 100 and Storage location 10.
As per the requirement I changed the assignment. But now I have come to know that there is stock for certain materials in Warehouse 1. Since the assignment is already done, how can I move the stock from Warehouse 1 to Warehouse 2

Yes I believe this will work.
1) Assign back W/H1 to 100 / 10
2) Check if there is any stock inconsistency. Whatever stock available in W/H-1 for pl / st locn 100 / 10 should match stock at IM level.
3) Create new st locn 20 (in your last message it is 30) under pl 100 and assign W/H-1 to 100 / 20
4) Transfer all stk in W/H-1 from 100 / 10 to 100 / 20. At the end of activity there should be no stk at st locn 10 and no stk in W/H-1 for pl / st locn 100 / 10. All stock in W/H-1 will be for 100 / 20.
5) Now remove assignment of W/H-1 from 100 / 10 and assign W/H-2 to it.
6) Transfer all stk from 100 / 20 to 100 / 10 back.
At the end of activity stock will be in W/H-2 with pl / st locn 100 / 10.

friends and oracle gurus,
DB: Oracle 11.2
OS: Linux
Schema size: 25G
I am trying to figure out best strategy to MOVE schema from warehouse to different database (11g) in compressed format on the fly... don't want to export first then compress and move files which is older way...
basically data should always be compressed during expdp n impdp...
so far I can think of below....
1. Lock user on warehouse
2. Expdp user with expdp parameter compress=all
3. Import user
4. drop user from warehouse
I think it's as simple as this but...
Just wondering am I missing any key element for compress part?
Do we need special oracle license to use compress option?
any other tips or steps??

any other tips or steps??I think compress=all will require advanced compression option (I am not licensing expert but wouldn't hurt to check) , but then again, why don't you want to compress after dump is generated? 25gb is peanuts, and i bet out of it most will be index segments, which wont occupy more than few bytes in the dumpfile (metadata compression is possible).
Or as some might suggest, use network link and be done with it.

Doesn't sound like your restored from your backup, otherwise pics in your camera roll would've transfer over.
Take a look at the link and double check you did the correct steps.

you can switch of WM at any time by removing the assignment storage location to warehouse (table T320)
The bigger question is just how do want to leave the system? deleting the assignment will not delete any data. Means the quants are still there and the TRs and TOs as well. And certainly the WM views in your material master.
