SAP XI jobs

Hello friends,
I am little bit confused when my friends are saying
1) job market for XI is almost closed and it will remain for a couple of months
2) and may be it will lose its control over other EAI tools shortly.
Is it true ,what are the job market with in next six months .will it remain good or what is the present situation.
Hope you understood my problem ,as I want to make my career in this SAP XI

In our Quality BW 3.5 system the SAP Standard jobs are getting canceled.
The jobs are as follows

Hi ,
For log display reason, try the note suggested. Jobs cancel reason may be due to that the user who schedule that job are locked or not exist on that client. Or other reason will be clear only after log display.

Hi Anil,
I donu2019t know your requirements, anyway itu2019s possible to setup your SAP job in order to start after an event, and after that you can get the event triggered from the Operating System in the following way:
- log into you Operating System with the SIDadm user id (at the Operating System level) and go to directory /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run
- Run the SAPEVT executable as follows:
sapevt YOUR_EVENT -t pf=/usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile/DEV_DVEBMGS00_server001 nr=01
This will raise the event, and cause the job scheduled within SAP to execute.
You can periodically execute this job with crontab.

Standard SAP periodic job to schedule import of requests in target system?

Hello Folks,
Is SAP standadard job available to schedule periodic import of requests available in the target system. I know it is not advisable to do something like this, but i remeber some one telling me there is one available.

Thanks for you replies folks... so...there's no standard job available. Its got be scripts at OS level, and ofcourse scheduling "import all" options....
but as we agree, this is not a recommended option.

Extract SAP Background Job list to excel and E-mail to User

I am a Basis consultant and have a requirement to download the list of finished & cancelled SAP BG jobs of previous week to excel and send e-mail to Users. For now we are doing this manually every week, Is this possible to automate this process? Please help to share your views.

I have completed my SAP Financials Certification last month. I am looking for SAP junior functional consultant jobs but having no experience is a problem. I am also looking for SAP Intern jobs or voluntary jobs for experience but no luck
What all options do we have to get a job for a fresher & does anyone have any ideas about how to look for job openings for freshers ?

yeahh, the market for newcommers is very difficult. Forget a job in a consulting company; they normally want only senior or medium-size consultants and if they ever publish an ad for juniors, then yoú still have unfortunately bad cards.
I am afraid that you´ll have to sell yourself for nothing to 1000s of companies for getting some experience in FI. After some 4 months you´ll be able to apply as a junior; once inside as a trainee, talk to your colleagues and boss and ask for an opportunity for getting a salary.
I tell you this in a cruel way, because the market for senior consultants is not the best. Companies try to push hard the price downwards or move the jobs to countries of misery salaries like India or China for being able to be competitive, as they call the slavery now. Not to mention local crisis in this or that country that kills many jobs. Another huge problem are intermediaries (body-leasing companies disguised as IT consultancies), because they want to make money and they exploit the consultant with a low price. Client pays u20AC 90, consultant gets u20AC 70 and u20AC 20 remain for these "consultancies" .... for doing nothing.
If you ever become a mid-size consultant, then you have to consider another specialization like ABAP and/or CO. I myself have more than 13 years as developer with ABAP/4, ABAP OO, BSP, Webdynpro and more; however, I have 3 years experience in HR and sell myself in this area as a junior consultant. There´s still a long road ahead of me.

Hello,
You can do this through Netweaver administration, which takes some time to figure out. The easiest way is to submit job System_Dynamic trace and fill in your debug string as the parameter. Then reproduce your issue, kill the dynamic trace job and report back the output of this job.

Landing in SAP SD job

Hello Guys,
I'm SAP Certified in SD, and also have experience working in SAP for about 5 years in the entire Order to Cash cycle.
I'm facing difficulty in landing a job, as employers expect project experience working as a functional consultant. It's going to be a year since I got certified and yet to get a call for an interview. I'm very passionate towards SAP. But the market had been very demotivating.
I'm being told to add fake experiences. Not sure if that's the way.

now a days who are SAP consultants are learning multiple skills apart from their core module to compete with latest skills in the market.
do you know one thing all the SAP consultants will be very PASSIONATE for achieveing thier targets and learning multiple skills.
even in this competitive market even know you have CHANCE to crack a job in SAP.

However, I can't find any documentation of using Enprise Report Writer. Does anyone know where I can get hold a copy of this?

I am testing it on my own laptop. It is for testing purpose at this stage because I need to evaluate the time of using Enprise report writer to develop some reports.
By pressing F1, I do get some information. however, I keep getting problem when trying to connect to Enprise Report Writer.
The connection is good when setting up the connection.
However, once the connection is set up, it displays user id = manager by default, and I keep getting login failure when puttng in manager password.
Yes, yes, if I put in manager (user id) and manager (password), I have no problem logging in to the company directly.
Any advice will be great.

Looks good that you are intersted in SAP SD as future but first of all I would like to say you that your interest for SAP brought you in SCN as you are having 13 years exp as domain then there isn't any dout that you might get job in priority in SAP world if you opt Certification or SAP Course but before that you should do some googling about SAP ERP & SD or if you want some material for practice or for concept then you may contact with me & I ll provide you some material for SAP SD ,Earlier Wipro was hiring Freshers who were from Insurence background & were taking them directly into Implementation so also try to forward your cv in SAP Implementation Partner probebly they might consider you with domain Exp ,this is my opinion people might have diff opinion.

Big number of files (physical + logical) opened by a SAP -related job

Hello,
We are implementing SAP ECC 6.0 on IBM System i (iSeries) 9406-550, i5/OS V5R4.
SAP is implemented on sub-system R3_00, and the different SAP processes are served by OS/400 jobs : WP00, WP01, WP02,etc.
The noticeable thing is that since the very beginning of the working day, the number of open files (Physical + Logical) opened by one job (e.g. WP00) is extremely big (900 1000 files), and it remains big during the whole day; i.e. it varies by a small extent.
The question is : is this a natural behavior of SAP, or is there something that we are missing that causes the un-necessary files to be closed after the relevant requirements are fulfilled.
The problem with the huge number of files opened by a job is that the big number of file ODPs exhausts the memory extensively, the thing which causes the memory faults to be high, thus impacting negatively the system performance.

Yes, the memory utilization is not too low because of that but on the other hand, it would be very expensive to close and open over and over again ...
So, you have to deal with this somehow.
The following is the default setting, that is active on your site as well: (You should be able to see these values in the dev_w0 etc ...)
ODP Threshold:
dbs/db4/odp_threshold     =          800
ODP Commit Threshold:
dbs/db4/odp_commit_threshold     =          810
ODP Open Threshold:
dbs/db4/odp_open_threshold     =          850
(This is true even when you experience 900-1200 - this is just a "mis-adding" more or less ...)
If you are really interested in: Try to change these parameters - but that is on your own risk, I do not have good experience with that ...

Is SAP support job is Good For future??

I got a job offer as a SAP support on multiple modules[MM,SD,ABAP]. Company bond is 4 years[company is trusted] and i need to work on as a SAP support for 4 year[no implemention].
Is SAP support have a future or not?tell me the growth and salary after 4 year.I don't have a SAP certificate and course, but i have done my java course. Tell me can i accept job offer or not. Salary is 2.4 lakhs per annum and then 3.6lakhs per annum then 3rd and 4th year not so much growth.

I am into SAP from the past 6 years.
Future in SAP is always best. I have seen many consultants rising with good track in there career.
Your friend RAJ is so lucky that without any SAP background, he got an opportunity in it.
I suggest you people to utilize it.
Don't think really SAP Support means - you need to provide your services only for existing developments. Apart from the existing developments you received new developments as part of Support project.
Currently I am working in Support project but literally speaking I worked on only 5% of the existing developments, but 95% worked on all the new developments.
As you said RAJ has to work on different modules - yes of course as SAP consultants we can stick to only one module. If a consultant has multiple modules then his demand would grow to high in the point of opportunities.
Never think that you have to be in Support project on different modules for 4 or more years. Just think that you don't have offer in your hand now, then what is your approach? What are you going do? Are you going to learn any technology? If yes, how are the openings for the technology you have choose after you complete your training?
Just ask these questions to yourself? If you really don't want to waste time and want to click soon in your career then you have the option already waiting for you to move to SAP.
SAP is always king in ERP industry. The growth, onsite opportunities, challenging career etc will always be there here. The only thing you need to do is - Dedication, Hardworking and Updating your self on different modules always.

It's not only me, but everyone would suggest you the same.
