Hi!
I succesfully implemented RFC to File, File to RFC via BPM scenario.
I have one SAP ECC 6.0 system with 2 clients and SAP XI 7.0.
What could be the next useful scenario to implement?
What is the most useful scenario in SAP XI?
Where can I find the appropriate documentation therefore?

Hi,
Be more specific on the problem you are facing so that the ppl here can help..
looks like your are trying to file to file scenario and the file is not generating at the target folder ...
then check the communication logs of the receiver adapter using RWB->CC logs..
post the error you have received there..

i got the error while using saop adapter in scenario(sender webservice----->sap system)
error is
HTTP error:couldnot post file

I installed SAP NetWeaver 2004S with PI component.
I also have a demo SAP ERP 6.0 EhP 3.0 BAIO system with several clients:
(100: demo client, 200: BW, 300: demo client (copy of 100)).
Questions:
what are the post installation steps to configure SAP PI?
Which scenarios can be used in such landscape?
(eg. exchange (IDOC, RFC, etc.) from client ERP:100 to ERP:200)

I recommend you to use proxys in your landscape as you want to interchange messages between
different clients in the same system.

Addition to the above ensure that the BAPI Commit is called ....
or expose the BAPI as the RFC so that the commit and rollback operations can take place in the RFC itself...
Keep the above options during the design..n implementation...
Recommended is RFC call rather than proxy when standards are available n volume of the data is less..

Import file to SAP system switch to SAP XI scenario

Hi,
we have scenario: download data from 3rd party system to the file and later on import this file to the SAP EPR system.
What possiblity we have when we want to use SAP XI? Only create new RFC functions to be able upload files? Or it is possible to re-use currect program for upload file?
And reverse scenario? We download data to file from SAP ERP and later on import to 3rd party system. It is possible to re-use program used for download data?

Downloading data from the third party system to File system will be out of XI Job.that ur other team has to take care.
Coming to Xi
From the file system to SAP R/3 we can do using XI
File---XI-SAP R/3( Use IDOC/ RFC/ PRoxy)
In the other way also
SAP R/3( IDOC / RFC/ Proxy)--XI--File
Check this to choose the right adapter when dealing with the SAP R/3 Application

Depending which all sub-modules of SAP HR HCM you have implemented and how many types of users you are having.
Better thing will be to prepare a document to test all process with actual screenshots taken from system.
Heading for the document will be like 1.Business scenario name 2. Transacation Code 3. Input Data test description and 4.Expected Behaviour 5. Actual Behaviour
Lets take an generic scenario for OM,PA ,TM and PY .
Example:
1.For OM you need to test whether end user is able to create Positions or not and if he can pull out all the standard reports.
2. Test for PA40 all the actions configured and PA30 .
3. If Time Mgmt is there whether End user is able to maintain his 0007 ,leaves and absence.
4. Checking for payroll calculations like PF Deduction, ESI Deduction ,Third Party deductions ,payment made through 0014 and 0015 are reflecting correct in system and Payslip. Absences or LOP getting deducted and Leave encashmentis bein paid from system.
5. All standard reports pulled are giving desired results.
Everything needs to be tested from a end user perspective.
These all are generic things might help,better to post a specific question for issue are facing.

Dll (sender) to SAP(reciever ) Scenario

I have a query regarding the dll to SAP scenario .
which adapter can be used to call the dll (The application is a knd of a solver that is used to optimize the scarce resources ).I need to integrate this application that is a dll (Name is LP_Solve ) which will then update the SAP database .
which adapters can be used on the sender and the receiver side .
Please provide some suggestion .

As i have mentioned above also I have this scenario in which SAP sends data to LP_solve (which is a dll file) and the result of LP_solve is then again sent to SAP .
Is there any use of XI in this scenario ?
Can this data from SAP be sent to a utility via BAPI/RFC and this utility will then send the data to LP_solve(since it is a dll file) and the data from LP_solve be again sent to ulility which will send the data to SAP again .
SAP->utility->LP_solve->utility->SAP
I am new to XI .Please help ..

JDBC -- SAP -- JDBC Scenario!!

Hi All,
The scenario is like this:
Sender : picking the data from multiple tables in MaxDB like Order ID,Customer ID etc... and passing this values to SAP.
In SAP, if the Order ID,Customer ID doesn't exists then we need to create in SAP.
For this validation we have written a customized RFC.
Now the created Order ID and Customer ID should again inserted/updated in the MaxDB in different tables.
This is the scenario before us. How many Data Types, Message Interfaces and Message Mappings are required.
Do we need to use BPM for this scenario?
Points will be awarded for the helpful answer.

By nature JDBC Adapter dont have the Capabilty to make the Sync call.
For Sync Communication we need BPM here.

SAP Based Scenario : Need clarification

Hello i am planning to implement a scenario which is based on SAP predifined componenets , with most of things already defined by SAP i would like to add some more configuration to complete this.
Now with info, i know that its not supposed to alter the SWCV's already defined by SAP. i got to know about referring these through another SWVC ; how to do this ?

Hi Krishna,
You are right that you should not alter SWCVs delivered by SAP.
What you can do is define custom Sotware Components and Software Component Versions (along with custom Products and Product versions) in the SLD. Then import these SWCVs into the Integration Repository.
