SAP2 VS SAP1

Dear Experts,
If SAP2 shows all the reports in the SAP system, then what's the difference between SAP2 and SAP1 ?!!
I can see that SAP1 contains all the reports as in the Info Systems of SAP Easy Access, but is there a difference in the kind of output SAP1/SAP2 display ?!!
(I have the authority to use SAP1, not SAP2 this is why I can't know the difference by my self for the time being)

In my system, t-codes sap1 and sap2 don't give access to the same sub-menus, but some folders are in both.

Accessing data from other SAP system

Hi experts
I need to access data from one SAP system from other. My requirement is , perform applications (programs) in some SAP system, but using/accessing data from other SAP system .
For example, when we press F4 we get the match code (search help) for the field ; that window is alredy created by SAP and it shows the data for that field . Of course the application (ike any other program/application) read the data from the SAP system is being executing ; well i need execute that match code but show (taking) the data from other SAP system; i not refer to other MANDT in same system but other SAP system.
The communication between SAP1 system and SAP2 system is already created from BASIS.
My doubt is how can i execute that standard application (search help) but 'invoke' to standard application this take data from other system ?
I guess i can create Z search help wich call a Z Function (RFC) to get the data required from the other system ;
or maybe enhance the standar search help to call that Z RFC ; but standard application search help is already created and this access the data in several ways or places of code , and this has severals sub-windows and search features ; and i just need execute exactly same search help but accesing data from the other SAP system ; so my doubt is, is there some way to indicate to SAP the applications always (wherever) these applications acces the data do it but from other SAP system,
like if we 'redirect' the Data Base to other SAP system.
SAP1 applications are being executing -
> but all data (records) are taking from SAP2
Maybe the first suggestion is simply why do not we execute applications in SAP2 instead SAP1 , that's because the version package in SAP2 system (where we have the data) does not support some (non SAP) applications we need to use.
Excuse the long thread. Does somebody can help, any idea ?

Below are my thoughts, these are only conceptual and haven't had an opportunity to try these possibilities, also not sure if this is the right thing.
1) Create an entry in DBCON using TCode: DBCO for the Database of system SAP2. Now in the application of SAP1 use the "SET CONNECTION" construct as the very first statement, so that consecutive SQL statements will point at the DB of SAP2.
2) I have read somewhere that the Work Processes are connected to the Default database and i am not sure if you can change this setting, but if you can and provided you have have multiple application servers in your SAP1 landscape, then pick one of the application servers and change the settings on the WP to point at the DB of SAP2, you have the end users login to this particualr app server.
3) If there are multiple app servers in SAP1 landscape, then choose one of the app servers and change the default database setting to point at DB of SAP2.

I would need your suggestion again. We have Trusted source as LDAP and target systems as SAP (SAP1, SAP2, SAP3). I did trusted recon to get all the users to OIM. User count in trusted source is 40K. I have few requirement,
Requirement: User has SAP accounts and I want to link these accounts to OIM users
My suggestion: Run target recon against SAP so we can link SAP accounts to OIM users.

Your suggestion: Can you able to handle in from outside of OIM. Populate SAP2 to SAP1 directly...
another option (I haven't tried but you can attempt it ) if the set of attributes are totally different in SAP1 and SAP 2 you can run the target reconciliation against both the SAP instance. Only change would be the different IT Resource Object.

Can anyone please provide me the differentiate list of SAP1 transaction Codes & SAP2 Transaction codes of Material Management. Your help in this regard will me much appreciated

SAP1 : SAP Easy Access Menu for Report Selection
SAP2 : SAP Easy Access Menu for Info Catalog
If you want the transaction codes listed in SAP1 and SAP2, go to these area menu and check the transaction codes listed!!

How to download list of transaction from SAP area menu in SAP1 transaction

Hello All,
My requirement is I want to download the list of transaction under the SAP area menu in SAP1 transaction.
I tried with SE43, entered area menu as S000, but it doesn't give me of the same hierarchy and some transaction were missing, for example IH08 is available in SAP1 transaction and not available in SE43.
Could you please let me know is there any way to download the list.

If you open SE43N, type SAP1 and Display (F7), Tree is shown with collapsed nodes. Print option in Menu shows the same tree as a list. The nodes do not get expanded by default.
So in order to get expanded tree in list ( so that transaction codes can be seen), you need to expand the tree before choosing Area Menu > Print.
This works for average area menu which is less number of transactions.
Since you are looking for SAP1, it has lot of transactions, and on expanding it, information message is shown as:
The tree could only be partially expanded for performance reasons
Diagnosis: The hierarchy could not be completely expanded for performance reasons; it has too many subnodes.
Procedure:
Restrict the number of nodes to be expanded by expanding a lower-level node
or
Expand this node repeatedly until this message no longer appears. The hierarchy is then completely expanded.
As a result, IH08 transaction which is under Quality Management node can't be seen in list view as overflow occurred before this node was reached.
On debugging, it can be seen that the tree is expanded recursively by standard until an overflow flag is set.
In order to get around this overflow protection, you can write a custom code.
Below snippet is for demonstration purpose.
1. Run FM BMENU_DISPLAY_RSTREE in SE37 with tree_id as QM01
2. Run my snippet that calls same FM in the end
Compare 2 outputs and see the difference.
I am going 1 level deep and IH08 transaction can be seen in output.
Similarly, you can write a code that recursively expands every sub-tree found so that entire list can be seen.

SAP1 Transaction in ECC 6.0

Dear Experts,
I'm trying to use SAP1 transaction in ECC 6.0, but i'm getting the message as transaction not available. Can you specify the equivalent transaction for SAP1 in ECC 6.0

SAP1 is normally available/possible with ECC 6.0..
If you don't get the reports, then Under Information systems in SAP easy access screen check for the reports manually...

Dear all,
In SAP2 t_code i tried to view the Report MC(A,MC+E Etc...but iam getting POP-UP message No data exists for chosen selection
I checked in Customer master data(Statistical field) and In Material master(Statistical),in Sales do,Item category..
Every where Statistical is activated.
But data is not appearing,How can i see the Report in MC(A t-code.

Cannot execute planning operators Unconstrained and Profit Optimization in SAP2

Hi,
We cannot execute supply planning operators Unconstrained and Profit Optimization with user JSMITH in planning area SAP2, although these jobs were successfully executed by the same user in the past.
Any idea as to what could be the problem?
We are using SOP 3.0.2.1, EPM version 10.0 SP 18 patch 2 build 8873.

looks like you are running in batch mode. perhaps the background user for your system is not set up (an operational issue for which you can file a message).
if you run in simulate mode (using simulate button), does it work? if not perhaps you're current period is not may 2014 and the data set assume this.. (you can change the current period offset similar to: update "SAP_SFND"."sap.sop.sopfnd.catalogue::SOPDM_PLANAREASET" set planoffset = 0 where plset = 'SM1BASESAPMODEL1'

SAP2.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer Bussiness Obj Server Stop Running

The server 'SAP2.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer'stops running every a couple of days.
Our problem is that we cannot realize why the above is happening. We searched for an SAP note but could not find anyone relating to the problem described above.
As a result we would like to have your opinion on what is causing the server to stop running and how to overcome the problem.

In our case this happens everyday. This is really a burning issue. We have reported this to SAP support and they advised us to upgrade the product version to BOXI3.1 SP2 which has a better memory management mechanism. But we are still facing the problem. what we have done is to have multiple webi processing servers and regularly monitoring them. Still no idea why this happens.

Scenario - IDoc - XI - RFC - IDoc

Hi Experts,
I am new to BPM.
We have 2 sap systems...SAP1, SAP2.
The BPM scenario is,
When Material changes made in MM02 of SAP1, changepointers creates an IDoc1. IDoc1 is first sent to XI. Now in SAP2, it is to be checked whether that particular changed in SAP1 exists in SAP2 or not. For this, from XI an RFC call is made to SAP2, depending on the return values, the IDoc message that has been reached to XI (from SAP1) is sent to SAP2.
How to achieve this.
Any docs, links would help me. I am very new to BPM.

For Message Interfaces-
1) Abs, Async, Message Interface of type Idoc
2) Abs, Sync, Message Interface of type RFC
3) Abs, Async Message Interface of type Idoc , which is sending to SAP2 system. If you have mapping changes.
Mapping is outside the BPM, Create a dummy message type for RFC response. To check the response in the BPM
i.e Idoc to RFC Req Mapping

Connection from SAP to our systems involving 2 saprouters

connection from SAP to our systems involving 2 saprouters
we have 1 saprouter inside a dmz and another for connecting to our systems.
we are guessing that this is possible
SAP (sapserv2) -
SNC----> saprouter1 (DMZ, SNC connection) -
> saprouter2 (P * * 3200) ---> SAP1, SAP2...
But how could we do that?
How can we let SAP know that they need to connect to 2 saprouters instead of 1?
The "Mantain System Data" in sap service marketplace only lets us introduce 1 saprouter.
And how should be the saproutettab of the 2 saprouters?

As far as my experience goes with this you have to maintain both router information in oss1 tcode
Also mention second router on the second router tab on the SMP data
I hope it should work with that as it will automatically create router table

Report on sales orders

hi all,
i need to develop a report which has Purchase order number, sold to party, sales order number, required delivery date and confirmed delivery date by system. i tried to to do this by sqvi, but here requirement is some group of users have to run this not restricted to single user, and when ever i use shedule line tables it is doubling the lines per schedule line, can we display that in just two columns as required delivery date and confirmed date by system.

However u can go for SAP Query .
there u can joint two tables and field as per ur requirement and crete a infosat with respect to User.

Report required

Hi,
I am seeking a report in SAP for the following
we have a standard amendment (sales orders) not to process any amendments within 3 working days of delivery.
However I do agree to a number of exceptions where we allow the customer to change his/her order 2 days before delivery e.g. if delivery is for a Friday we may allow the customer to change his order on Wednesday when normally it would be no later than Tuesday.
We therefore need a report detailing the number of 2 day amendments we process in any given month.
Is there anything in SAP that I can use?

You can get the SAP standard report selection in T.code SAP1
and info category in T.code SAP2
