SAPB1 email (SBO mailer) needs restarting

Hi All,
Time and time again we have to manually restart SBO mailer (or email service under license manager). this is because email stop working without any apparent issue. This has been an ongoing issue with many installations. I wonder if there is a permanent solution to this issue? Obviously customers are unhappy that someone has to manually restart SBO mailer to clear the outbox. We have tried all settings (setting intervals to 5 min etc).

You no need to send mails through outlook. Once you run the Addon of outlook integration yu have to do the outlook settings and then you cansend it internally hrough B1 but history will get stored in outlooksent box.

I just checked to see if the update to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 solved any of the issues outlined in my previous post, and to my dismay, nothing has changed -- all of the previous problems persist.
My iMac (8) -- it's renamed itself eight times since the recent troubleshoot with the Apple tech rep -- shows up as a shared device in Finder on my MacBook Pro, but when I click on it, I cannot establish a connection using "Connect As". So I've attempted to connect using the menu "Go/Connect to Server...", using both (alternately) the iMac's name and IP address, to no avail. I get a message which reads: "There was a problem connecting to the server 'Peter's iMac (8)'. This server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Here's what I know:
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) does exist;
The server -- Peter's iMac (8) is available at this time;
The server name -- Peter's iMac (8) -- is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The server IP address is correct, as specified in the system sharing preferences;
The network connection is active when I attempt to connect.
I'm convinced the problems stem directly from the OS X Yosemite update. None of this was ever remotely an issue in the previous OS X's -- any of them. This is maddening! What can be done? Apple?? Anyone???

Every time I awake my computer from sleeping, Mail needs to be restarted.
Why's that?
The problem is that if I'm not aware of i it, my Mail stays offline.

This is a bug that doesn't affect everyone. I can't reproduce it and I don't know what triggers it. The following steps have been reported (but not confirmed by me) to work around it in some cases:
Turning off Dictation
Turning off the built-in firewall
Turning off the Energy Saver setting to allow hard drives to spin down when idle
Changing DNS servers
That's all I've been able to find out.

I use drafts to store documents and sent in a leser capacity - Ihave huge data in drafts. Tried to restore using time machine (never had to before). The backups are there but the restore button does not highlight??? So when you clickit nothing happens.

Restoring Mail is complex. Luckily, the late James Pond left us an illustrated guide:
You can restore the Mail messages and indexes to the way they were (provided you have a Backup from around that time)

Problem with email format in SBO Mailer

Hi all.
I use the SBO Mailer for send email. I can send and receive the mails but I have a problem in the format that SAP sent the email becuase put on tthe message before the line of signature a tag like " < BR "
Anyone knows how to eliminate the line of the signature? I think the problem it´s with this line.
Can you help me? Thanks a lot.

Hi, I just write a little message and that´s it. In the mail appears my message and then '<BR' then a line and finally the signature. I tried to delete the signature but it´s the same problem

Gmail cannot receive email sent from SBO-Mailer

I can receive emails from SBO-Mailer to my company email. My colleague can also receive email sent to her company email. However, I can not receive email if it is sent to my gmail or hotmail or yahoo. Did I miss something?

You may try to use this sap note solution if probably you are interested to use gmail smtp :
SBO Mailer doesn't work in Login Authentication mode
Symptom
You test connection in SBO mailer with Login Authentication mode unsuccessfully and the error message below is shown:
Login authentication failed. or
Login authentication not supported by SMTP server.
Also, you fail to send emls in SAP Business One with Login Authentication mode.

This is usually because of wrong settings in SBO mailer. Gmail for example, you should set as the following:
SMTP Server: smtp.gmil.com
SMTP Port: 587
Username: ***@gmil.com
Password: ****
Encoding: English (United States)
SMTP Client: Microsoft .NET
Authentication: Basic Authentication
Use TLS Encryption: Yes
If you choose Microsoft .NET as SMTP Client, the "test connection" button in SBO mailer is invalid but it can still send emails in SAP Business One.

Does Mail need to be open for emails to appear in Notifications?

I love the notifications feature in Mavericks, and in particular, I like that incoming emails pop up like in iOS. My question is, does Mail app need to be open for emails to appear in Notifications?

On the Mac, Mail needs to be open to be notified of incoming Mail. I tend to leave the app open all the time, just collapsed into the Dock, getting notified by Notification Centre as emails arrive and leaving a red badge on the Mail icon in the Dock if Mail arrived whilst I was away.

Email not working through SBO Mailer

Hi experts ,
There is this fresh SBO 9.0 PL 06 Installation and we have configured sbo mailer .
When i tried to send email through manager Login , we can able to send emails and whereas if we try to send email through another user we are not able to send email through sbo mailer.
This is the message truncated in event viewer :
Error Description :
The description for Event ID 62 from source SBOMail cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Failed to send the mail message, please make sure that all mail addresses are valid.
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file
I have verified the email id also its a valid email.
But when i have assigned the email which was configured in sbo mailer to other users in user set up we can able to send email.
Any help would be appreciated guys .!!

If you want to send emails internally to SAP users then no need to SBO log in required for sending mails. If you want to send external mails means to customers and vendors then you required to log in into SBO and have to follow SBO system.

Command to Stop and Start the SBO Mailer Service

Good day,
I have an issue on my SAP server (SAP 2007 SP01 PL10) where the SBO Mailer server is intermittently stopping. This is causing Emailed Alerts and emails from SAP to stop working.
I want to create a Scheduled Task in Windows to run a batch file which will stop then restart the SBO Mailer service.
Do you know the DOS command to stop and also start the SBO Mailer service?

We have had the same problem. I Added this scheduled task to Validate if service is running and to Restart if Necessary..
We are still working on this issue. I have a feeling itu2019s the SMTP rejecting the emails

Can't access recent Emails from mail tile in window 8.1. Everything working fine until yesterday. I can get my Emails by going to google Chrome and accessing my gmail but I like just hitting the mail tile in 8.1. Also is the start

If you mean to access e-mail with the Mail APP, and have issues when using it, we may first take a try with the

Cannot send Email with Mail since updated to 10.7.2, they stay in my Send Box...

Since I updated, I cannot send Email through Mail, it works with Thunderbird though.

Just FYI, I've had the same problem for months now. I have been accessing my hotmail via the web, but decided to try the OS X Mail app. I could get emails into the account with no problem but couldn't send. I read all the blog and support entries and have tried everything they recommended, like changing my computer name to one word, without success. Then last night, it just so happened that my broadband provider had to change out my wireless modem. As soon as he plugged in the new one, some emails that had been in my outbasket for a month went through instantly and all of a sudden my Mail, both incoming and outgoing now work. So I think people need to look at their router settings for the a solution to the problem.

Hi all,
I went to check my email in mail last night and my mobileme account was offline. (Gmail account is online no problem). I clicked to take it back online, but it wouldn't accept my password. My parents also have this address on their mail (2 x macbook pros on lion, 2 x iphone 4, 1 x ipad4 -if this is relevant!) as its our main business account. The same situation was on their devices.
I came into the studio this morning and tried the following on my computer:
-Re-setting password on iforgot. (This took a few attempts as I can't use alternative email address as it doesn't work and is years old, and it kept telling me my security question (Bday) was wrong when it was correct...) I got there in the end and changed the password successfully.
-Went to remove keychain, but there was nothing there at all for the account
-Deleting account and re-setting up. This didnt work, as it wouldnt accept my password (new or old).
This happened a few weeks ago as well, and resetting the password and resetting the account worked.
I also did the same on my parents devices, and the new account was set up fine, so we can at least access the emails via their computers.
The differences between the computers, and what I'm guessing the problem is, I am on Snow leopard (10.6.8), on old version of mail (4.5) and obviously not connected to icloud. They are on lion and the latest versions of mail, and on icloud.
I desperately don't want to upgrade to lion as I run lots of expensive software off my machine, (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, after effects etc) and don't want lion to mess them up.
Do you think the fact i'm on such an old version is the problem? Why would the account have been taken offline on the other devices initally though?
I have had different messages popping up:
"The MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” rejected the password for user...."
"Logging in to the MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages."
And something about the certificate not being secure.
Sorry, this has been all over the place - very behind now and rushing!! Hope it makes sense and someone can help soon, as I need to send a ton of emails this afternoon off my machine! :-) Thanks in advance!!

Open Mail preferences and select Accounts then MailBox Behavior. You probably need to unclick the safe draft to server.
