SAPBW connection

Dear Expert,
I am trying to connect SAP BW with Business objects, once I select SAP BW and give the required credential for connection I am getting the bellow error
DBD: An error occurred while trying to load the provider for transport sap. Failed to load library mda_sap. System error message: The specified module could not be found
I didnu2019t install sap integration kit, for sap BW connection with bobj is the sap integration needed so how can I install.
Regards
Aflal

When I try to install BO kit for sap solutions I am getting the following error.
See the attached image.
u201CThe installation of BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solution cannot continue because WACS has been installed with Business Objects Enterpriseu201D
For above error these are the suggested solutions on sap.
SAP Note 1408550
Cause
The Web Application Container Server (WACS) is not a supported application server for the Business Objects XI Integration for SAP Solutions.
To use .NET InfoView on IIS together with BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions, you are still required to install backend applications such as CMC or Web Services on a supported Java application server.
Resolution
To solve this issue, uninstall the Web Application Container Server (WACS)
- From the Control Panel select Add or Remove Programs
- Select the installation of Business Objects xi 3.1 and click Change
- Within the Installer select Modify
- Select Server Components > Web Application Container Server
- Choose the option : The entire Feature will be unavailable
Please advice.

    Hi Bruno,
We were able to resolve the issue. SAP RDS is assisting us with our upgrade and one of their consultants gave us this fix/workaround.
Edit and add an entry into P:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\data\reginfo.dat on your BW host server.
Below is the entry I added.
    P TP=<NAME OF PROGRAM ID> HOST=<remote hostname where you creating the RFC to> CANCEL=<remote hostname> ACCESS=*
    P TP=CTSAPNPSCI_PORTAL_FPS HOST=ctsapnpsci CANCEL=ctsapnpsci ACCESS=*
Then in BW system goto smgw > goto > Expert Funtions > External Security > ReRead ACL (N) & Globally
I hope that this works for you.

  • Connectivity between SQL Serevr 2008 and SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0

    Hi ALL
I am trying to connect to SSIS 2008 to SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0.
    Following are stepes I performed.
    1. Created RFC on SAP BW Server.
    2. Created Prcess Chain in SAP BW.
    3. Created SSIS Package using SAP BI Source. Here I set Execution Mode : P Trigger   Process Chain.
The process chain is executing fine on SAP BW Server, But it is unable to send back a
notification to SSIS package.  And here my SSIS package failed.
I am getting following error message :
[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Start Process, variant Start Variant for MSBI has status Completed (instance D8Z84GJ2RLV7WCI2IYK5CZ1R3)
[SAP BI Source] Error: An internal exception occurred.
    Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.ERPException:
An error occurred during the dispatch of the incoming function. The last return code was "RFC_FAILURE".
Before this error I am getting following messages are :
[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Data Transfer Process, variant Z09_O101 -> Z09_H101 has status Active (instance DTPR_D8Z84GJ2RLVZKYTTUHZRFEG0V)
[SAP BI Source] Information: The component is waiting for a notification.
Is there any way to test the both the way connections?  I mean SAP BW -- SSIS &                SSIS ---  SAPBW.
Can any one please explain me entire connectivity architecture between SSIS and SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0. (I mean how these RFC are working and how SSIS is pulling the data from SAP BW)

I am having the same problem. We actually loaded data a few times but now it does not work. It is amazing that we cannot find help for this problem. Has anyone been successful using the BI connector 1.1 to load data to a BI system using SSIS. I think
this had to do with either a DLL problem on the machine running SSIS or the Service Pack level of the BI system. I cannot find any documentation showing versions. I have looked through the documentation that was written back in 2008 but can't seem to
    get it to work.
Sorry we are trying to push data (BW Destination) to BI it looks like you are trying to get data from BI.

I saw this error when implementing this white paper previously.  I believe we ended up using the 32 bit version of SQL Server, and we might have ended up using R1 to get it to function.
The problem is actually with the librfc32.dll...I don't believe it's compatible with SSIS 64-bit.

  • Microsoft Connector 1.1 to Connect to SAP BW via SSIS

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd299430%28v=sql.100%29.aspx

    Hi Sproctor722,
The issue may occur if you have installed the improper version of Microsoft Connector for SAP BW. If you use SQL Server 2008, please choose the appropriate version according to your SQL Server version:
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Feature Pack
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=6375
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 Feature Pack
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27596
If you use SQL Server 2008 R2, there are also two different Feature Packs for SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 and SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2.
In addition, please also check the considerations for 64-bit computers in the following document:

  • FDM connecting to SAPBW

    Hi All,
Is it possible in 11.1.2.1,if we can load data from SAPBW to FDM using adapters?
I know we can do from SAP G/L but not sure about BW.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

With the release of ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) SAP BW was merged into this product, so theoretically the answer is yes if you have ECC6.0, but if you are just talking about stndalone SAP BW then no.

    Hi Paleri,
    According to the
thread which has the same error message, the issue may be caused by incorrect RCF settings. Could you double check your RCF connection configurations such as DNS settings?
If it is not the case, please also make sure you have installed the correct version of Microsoft Connector for SAP BW.

    Hi,
As far as I understand by your words, you have an external data source running on Oracle and want to extract the data into BW system, isn't it correct? If it is correct, you can extract the data from external system, but you may need to perform some translations while extracting the data because of different character set.

  • SSRS: Failure sending mail: The transport failed to connect to the server.

I run SSRS and email reports using SMTP service on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box. This has been working for months and stopped today around noon.
I have checked all SMTP settings and verified they are correct. I can send an email from SQL Server Management Studio, using SMTP service with no trouble.
Now in SSRS I am getting this message:
Failure sending mail: The transport failed to connect to the server.
I have read every link when I google this message or type it into bing.com; yet cannot find a reason why SSRS has suddenly stopped emailing my reports.
I have restarted the server in question, I have changed account names, I have changed passwords, yet nothing is working.
I even approached our senior dba about it and he has never seen this happen.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Thank you,
    Jessica

    Thank you JJordheim.
IDS is not an issue. Neither is the Windows Firewall on the server. I actually turned it off while troubleshooting to make sure it was not causing the issue.
SSRS and my SMTP Virtual service are on the same server. I am running the SMTP service through IIS. I even created a new SMTP Service to test with. No luck.
My rsreportserver.config file looks fine, or at least it does to me. Posted below:

  • SAP gateway connection failed

    Hi All,
Due to restructure in DMZ in our network, IP addr of our R3 server is changed from 172.20.x.x to 192.168.x.x. and the original IP is NATted for connections. We can able to access SAPGUI, but RFCs from this server to other systems is not working. We are not able to remote logon from RFC to this R3 system from other servers, because of same issue.
    RFC Error:
    Error Details     LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host <sapr3> / sapgw01
Error Details     DETAIL: no connect of TP sapdp00 from host <sapbw> after 20 sec
As per the note, Note 148832 - IP address conversion with a firewall, we have added the BW system entry in gw/alternative_hostnames, still its not working.
Because of this issue we are not able to access this R3 server from BW

    Dayana

    Hi Dayana,
This message occurs while the server is starting i.e starting the core services and delpoying the applications. From the above error message it is hard to
say what the problem is. Can you explain more on what is happening? Also generally it takes about 15 -25 minutes depends on the environment.
Also do you see any errors in the following log files
    \usr\sap\XXX\JC00\work\std_server0.out ?
    Regards
