Sapccm4x error in tcp rfc connection

Hi all,
I am configuring QAS system (Non Unicode Netweaver 04s & abap stack only) with Solution Manager. I have installed the sapccm4x agent. The agent installation finishes sucessfully with return code 0. The Agent service is started on QAS system.
But it doesnt work. Agent remains in status Shutdown. Even if we try to bring it online, it gives error in RFC communication.
In RZ21 -> Topology -> Agents for Local System, my system status is SHUTDOWN and all the RFC's created by registration (such as N3STAT.<host>.<instance_number> type TCP/IP) return the error program <host>.n3stat.<instance_number> not registered.
The trace file in CEN says:
ABAP Programm: SAPLSALF (Transaction: )
User: CSMREG (Client: 200)
Destination: SAPCCM4X.AMUTWJEQ01.00 (handle: 2, , )
SERVER> RFC Server Session (handle: 1, 38546511, {15FCDEDC-1AEF-F19A-9170-005056B06C7E})

HOST =%%RFCSERVER%%
PROG =amutwjeq01.sapccm4x.00
GWHOST =amutwjps05.dynonobel.net
GWSERV =sapgw01
As per CCMS agents documentation, this SAPCCM4X.<HOSTNAME>.<SYS No> gets automatically created.
I am not able to figure out the reason on SDN and OSS notes for past 3 days!
Please share your thoughts!
Thanks.
Antarpreet

Hello,
Have you cheked the RFC created in Solman, test the RFC and check the error output.
Also check whether the RFC has activation type as 'Registered server program'.
Check the gateway details for the connection.
If nothing works de register the agent and try registering it again.

  • SLD Configuration : Error opening an RFC  Connection

    Hi All,
I am working on EP6 SP19 and trying  to configure SLD.
I was trying to check the data collection with the transaction RZ70,and I got the following error:
    Data collected succesfully
    Used RFC Destination: SLD_NUC
RFC call failed: Error opening an RFC Connection
Existing periodic jobs removed, number: 1
    Program scheduled: 20070327
Event controlled job already exists, scheduling not necessary
    I performed the follloewing steps:
    I have imported CRContent.zip succesfully.
I have configured the data supplier bridge with following parameters.
    Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE
    RFC Gateway:
    Server : <host name of J2EE server>
    Service : <The SAP gateway service port> (here I gave sapgw00)
This gateway service is installed while installing WAS Java.
Please clarify if I can use the same or Do I need to install standalone gateway instance?
I restarted the Data supplier bridge it is running.
I have created RFC destinations through visual administrator with
JCO RFC provider and used the same name for the program id
    in RFC destination of SM59
Once the above steps are done,I am getting the error.(Error opening RFC)
Please give me a clue of wat else do I need to do?

    Hi,
    check the following once.
How to configure the R/3 system as technical system into portal is follows.
U need to add some properties in VA.
    Then only it will works.
U can goto the VA and in SLD data supplier add some properties like this.
    1)HTTP settings: host = poratl host , port=50000 ,user = portal username , pwd=give thepwd.
    2)RFC settings : Gateway host= poratl host and Gatewayservice=sapgw00
3)CIM client generation settings :host and port are the same as above and user and PWD same above
After this u need to check the Cimclicnt and that shows success.
And finally u need to go to the SLD add ur r/3 system properties and and ip address and host name in the host file of ur windows.
and finally add message server host in the services file in ur windows.
Have you checked the JCo destinations And SLD connetions.
If all are correct then u can add the properties in the Application server
Host file add the IP address and alias name
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host
in services file add the <Messageserverhost> 3600/tcp.
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services.
    Then it might helps you.
    Thanks,
    Lohi.

    Hello All,
i have configured EBP/CCM <> XI Catalog scenario and when i try to execute the test connection for both TCP RFC connections "INTEGRATION_SERVER_<SID>, PLAIN_HTTP_ADAPTER_<SID>" I receive following "ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED".
Does anybody know the problem? How can I solve this issue?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jochen

    Hi Chirag Gohil,
first of all many thanks for quick support (also to all!)
I have added the values as notice at your attached weblog
    RZ10 (reboot done):
    icm/server_port_0   PROT=HTTP,PORT=8005,TIMEOUT=30,PROCTIMEOUT=600
    SXMB_ADM:
    RUNTIME   HTTP_TIMEOUT   10000
but no positive result. The same situation as before!
    One additonal helpfull information:
I tryed to execute the respective TCP RFC connection at IE Browser an it works fine!
    Targethost: <hostname>
    Path Prefix: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    ServiceNo.: 8005
    Logon:
    Language: EN
    Client: 010
    User: <user>
    URL at Browser:
    http://<hostname>:8005/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    Login with user works fine
XML wegside appeard with comment: "EMPTY_HTTP_REQUEST_RECEIVED"
I think this shows that generall connection works fine!
But why doesn't work the TCP RFC connection?
    Many thanks in advance!

  • Error in the RFC Connection

    Hi Expert,
First, I'm sorry if I post in the wrong thread.
I have a problem when creating RFC Connection. I want to create RFC Connection between BW systems to R/3 System in SM59.
I already insert the right IP Address to the target system, but when I test the connection, I got this error :
    host name 'SAP-BO-01' unknown / CPI-C error CM_PRODUCT_SPECIFIC_ERROR
I already test the connection from BW to R/3 and vice versa, using ping in command prompt, and I got no problem. Also, I already create a log on to the target system, and it was successful, but the RFC Connection still error.
Did you have any clue or solution about this?
I really appreciate every helpful comment from you. Thank You...

    Hi
Do you have mapping in the host file in the server? ask you basis team to check that.
If you can ping the server, that means connection is fine, only thing is there might be some entry missing in hosts or services file in the server.
During creation of RFC connection you can directly use the IP address also. as you said you are able to ping the server that means you got to know the IP address. Now use the below command to know the exact hostname.
    ping -a <IP_ADDRESS>

  • Error in Creating RFC Destination

    Hi,
I am Going for RFC to File Scenario.
For Sender RFC it < I am trying to create RFC Destination in SAP r/3
    I have Given
    RFC Dest  : XI_CONNID
    Conn type : Tcp/IP
Activation Type : Register Server Program
    Program ID  :sap
gateway host : sap-server( Sap server)
    gateway service : sapgw00.
I saved and I tested but it is showing errors.
Error : Error in Opening RFC Connection
Whe i Click on this error message it i showing
         Error  Program sap not registered.
    Points will be awarded.
    regards,
    Jayasimha

    Dear Jaya,
create a RFC SENDER communication channel first and then activate the channel.
now go to sm59 there use the same program-id as u did at RFC SENDER COMMUNICATION CHANNEL.
note:program-id is registered by XI at R/3 level with details related to it's profile(XI profile).
step 1) create RFC COMMUNICATION CHANNEL with program-id as "any name" at XI first .
2)create TCP/IP connection with registered program-id created by XI at first step
so when you execute steps 2 then 1 you will get error ,coz by that time program-id is not yet registere by XI in R/3 domain.
after executing step 1 i.e creating porgram id at R/3 through XI.
got to ST22 at R/3 and check whether any dump is found against "XI creating porgram-id at R/3 level".
we failed at creating PROGRAM-ID itself at R/3 level because of missing authorizations against my R/3 user id,which we will be using at XI RFC channel.
generally problem will be at PROGRAM-ID creation itself,so just go to ST22 and check any authorizations missing for your userid which is being used at RFC channel configuring at XI.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rama Krishna

  • Error in BPM: "COMMUNICATION FAILURE" during JCo call. Error opening an RFC

    hello experts
i am receiving the above error incase of BPM scenario where i am having a Transform step and synchronous RFC step.
i referred to the few threads discussing such problems and was trying to find whether my mapping is correct and i tested my mappings using my payload which looks good.
When looked into the Mapping trace of the BPM "Show container" i found error ""COMMUNICATION FAILURE" during JCo call. Error opening an RFC connection" and it seems that when BPM is attempting to call interface mapping it is throwing this error.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    rajeev

    hi,
I think no problen with the mapping part,
jco connection requird when xi try to stablish the connection with the adapter .
    please look the link provided.
Setup and test SAP Java Connector outbound connection
please also check the following parameter at the exchange profile
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.client
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.sysnr
    com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport
these parameter must be given properly.
if every thing is ok than and problem still exist than try to restart the system.
for us after restarting its worked fine.
