SAPconnect fax error email

We have successfully configured SAPconnect to send faxes to a RightFax server, and are receiving synchronous responses and asynchronous status calls, viewable in SOST. This has been working for a couple of years.  However, we have a new request that users receive an email notification if there is an error in sending one of their faxes, so that they don't have to go into SOST to look for error statuses.
I have reviewed the relevant documentation, and found several Notes (especially 335310, 960880) that point to problems when send email notifications of statuses has been configured. I also reviewed documentation and Notes on alert monitoring. But I am unable to find any documenation on how to configure SAPconnect to send email notifications of failed faxes to the user who sent them.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I'm sorry for the delayed response.  I just noticed this message, and I hope you already figured it out.
I used SO36 to set up automatic forwarding.  This will intercept all SAPOffice messages and send them to a designated email address that you specify for a specific time period (you can set it to 12.31.9999 to make it permanent).
In our environment, we have "resource" email accounts that are shared by admins that can then process the emails (usually failure notifications).

  • Recent Printer Update screwed up my fax to email option

I have an HP - Officejet Pro X476dw Wireless All-In-One Printer that worked fine, converting my faxes to pdf files and forwarding them to my email.  After I receieved notice from the printer screen that an update was available, I updated.  This morning, the lights were going crazy on my printer screen.  I hit the power switch and the printer came back online.  There is an error mark next to the fax icon.  It reads that the the server is rejecting the security setting.  I went back in and redid everything the same way it was... no go.  I can receive faxes, but they are not forwarded to my email.
How do I get rid of the update that caused this problem, or how can I fix it?
    All help is appreciated.

For the second time, I woke up to find the lights on the small screen on the printer flashing as if a pinball machine got tilted.  Tapping the screen wouldn't stop it.  I had to hit the power switch and then the machine came back online.  There was an error on the fax icon at first reading that the name was incorrect.  Then it went on to read that the server could not accept the secure connection.  When I try to edit the fax to email software on my computer the HP error states that it cannot be sent to the "to" email.  This is ridiculous.  It worked fine with the exact same settings for a whole year.  Then when the printer updates itself... it's screwed.  How can I get this thing back and working?  This is my business here?

  • Problems routing faxes through email

I have a Windows Server 2008 fax server that is giving me some problems when trying to route inbound faxes via email.
Sometimes it will work, and then eventually an inbound fax will get stuck with a status of "Retrying Routing" when viewing it in the Windows XP Fax Console on the client. When this happens, the fax server will record the following 2 events in the Application event log:
Event ID: 32083   Source: Microsoft Fax   Task Category: Inbound   User: N/A
Unable to route fax C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Queue\1C9889BC4B822.tif to the requested e-mail address.
     The following error occurred: 0x80040211
This error code indicates the cause of the error.
Check the SMTP server configuration, and correct any anomalies.
Event ID: 32089   Source: Microsoft Fax   Task Category: Inbound   User: N/A
The Fax Service failed to execute a specific routing method. The service will retry to route the fax according to the retries configuration. If the retries fail, verify routing method configuration.
     Job ID: 0x0401c9889bc4b822.
Received on Device: 'Conexant D850 PCI V.92 Modem'
     Sent from: '123123456'
     Received file name: 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Queue\1C9889BC4B822.tif'.
Routing extension name: 'Microsoft Routing Extension'
Routing method name: 'Route through e-mail'
Sometimes, the fax will eventually go through. Other times, it will fail completely. If it fails completely, the following event is logged in the Application event log and all faxes after this one will fail too.
Event ID: 32078   Source: Microsoft Fax   Task Category: Inbound   User: N/A
A successfully received fax was not routed automatically. You can find the fax in the Inbox/Incoming archive folder by its Job ID. Job ID: 0x0401c988900827e4. Received on Device: 'Conexant D850 PCI V.92 Modem' Sent from: '987-654-3210'
If I clear all the stuck faxes out of the "Incomming" folder of the fax console, then future faxes might come through successfully (by clear I mean delete them).
I followed the instructions from the following link to get an authenticated user set up instead of using anonymous, but that hasn't helped.
    http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2007/04/02/inbound-fax-routing-may-fail-due-to-the-exchange-intelligent-message-filter-imf.aspx
Any help anyone has would be greatly appreciated as this is getting frustrating.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
According to your description, I understand that you have problem with routing faxes through email. You may implement the action plan below to address this issue.
    Action plan:
    ================
    1. Check Exchange setting.
    2. Please follow SBS blog, check Exchange System Manager for the following setting and remove it if it exists:
      http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2007/01/15/fax-fails-because-of-orbs.aspx
    3. Disable your antivirus software and retest.
    4. If you are running AVG 8 which has SPAM filtering capabilities. Go into Server Manager and configure the associated service to DISABLED:
    5. Reboot the server and confirm the service is not running within Server Manager
    6. Retest sending faxes to the server and note the results.
If the issue persists, then clean-boot the server and retest again. Use msconfig to disable all third party services and startup programs.
    1.Launch MSCONFIG.exe on the server.
2.Under the General tab, select "Selective Startup" and uncheck all of the sub-items except for "Load System Services"
3.Choose the Services tab and then select the "Hide all Microsoft Services" option.
4.Click the "DISABLE ALL" button to disable the list of third-party services.
5.Choose the APPLY and the CLOSE button. Then Restart.

  • HP Laserjet PRO 200 - Colour MFP M276n | Forward Fax to Email

    Hi!
I can't understand why it isn't possibile to forward a fax to a list of email address instead of print them (or forward the fax to another number), it could really save a lot of paper, also because the printer can already send a scan to an email address.
Am I missing some some option in the control panel or am I really supposed to
print a fax and then scan it?
If this function is not available are you going to implement it in the next firmware update? I think it would be really appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Hi FrancescoPromo,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hopeyou enjoy your experience!
I see from your post that you would like to know if you can forward a fax to email, if there are any updates for this available.
I will be happy to help you.
You can send and receive faxes from the computer software. You can fax single or multiple faxes at a time.
There is no option available for sending faxes through emails.
I have provided the manual with information for faxing. Pages 97 and 103 provide this process.
    LASERJET PRO 200 COLOR MFP.
These are the available features for this model through the control panel.
    Scan to USB Drive.
    Scan to Network Folder.
    Scan to E-mail.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Fax Error Report

    Hi all,
I am getting a fax error report that prints randomly and is not followed by a received fax.  I ran the fax test and it passed and came back without any known problems.  I have been receiving faxes daily, but not as many as before and I am wondering if I am not receiving faxes.  The error report does not show where the fax came from.
    Can anyone help?
    Appreciative,

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610 fax error message

Good morning.  I have two Officejet Pro 8610s.  One is in my office running MS Office 7, the other is at home running Mac.
To conserve power I have both printers set to turn off in the evenings.  Neither is being used as a fax machine and neither has ever had the phone cord plugged in.
On both printers I am consistently getting the error message "Telephone cord is connected. To receive faxes, the printer must be turned on.  Note that the printer is scheduled to be turned off at XX:XX every (days listed).  To change the schedule, use the Schedule On and Off feature in the Setup menu."
Almost everytime I go to make copies or initiate a scan from the printer I have to click "OK" for this error.  The error also pops up about every 30 minutes and makes a ding.   This wouldn't be annoying at all except the printer is positioned next to my left ear and I"ve been listening to it for six months.
How do I stop these messages, aside from removing the scheduled turn off and on?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    Hello @drummer12345 ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand that you are getting a fax error message form your two 8610's. I would like to help you with this issue.
I find it odd that you get this message. You mentioned that you have never set the unit up for fax.
Please take a moment and make sure that no cords are plugged into the Fax ports on the printer.
If there are none, go into the setup menu.
Once in the setup menu, select the fax setup option.
Go into the advanced fax setup option.
scroll to the bottom of the list and select restore defaults.
If that does not work try a hard reset.
With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord.
    Wait at least 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the printer.
If this was happening to just one printer, I would believe this to be a firmware issue.
For this to happen to both your printers, I  get a feeling it could be something related to the printers environment.

  • HP officejet pro 8500 A909g Can not send emails from scan to e mail & Forward My Fax on Emails

I have Windows 7 home Premium os,
My earlier router malfunctioned so have installed new Dlink router DSL-2750U and after that i am not able to use scan to email & Fax to email options.
Email id to forward mail is a gmail id.
    Please advice

    Backing up a moment, how do you access your email;
Software based program (ex. MS outlook, aol desktop)
Web browser (ex. Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox)
    Another method
Scanning to email requires a software based email to be open.
However, a work around may be present if you were able to provide the information stated above.

  • Maintaining Multiple Vendor Phone Fax and Email using IDOC

    Hello Guru's,
I have a requirement where I must be able to maintain multiple phone and fax entries for all of our vendors.  Is there a standard segment in IDOC CREMAS05 that will allow for this maintenance?  Or will I have to use a separate BAPI / FM?  I think there must be a standard way for doing this.
As of now it appears the CREMAS05 IDOC only supports the ability to maintain one phone/fax or email address at a time, which is in the LFA1 table, and not at the address table level (ADR2, ADRC, ADRT, etc.).
This is for an R/3 System running on EHP5.
    Thanks,
    Kohl Kemp

I've never done this natively in CUC.  Here's a guide that covers how to do it with the Fax server integration if that helps:

Not the answer you wanted and sure you already thought of this, but try using a group email address inside the Process Admin email field.
