SAPGlobal software component in ESR

Hi all,
I have a CE 7.1 SP4 installation + ESR. I have tried to find the SAPGlobal software component in my SLD but it is not there. Should I not have it there or there is some mistake?

I have one more question related to this topic.
Since I have only CE 7.1 SP04+ESR installed, the only way to create services using the esr is to actually
1. create my own service definitions in the ESR(process comps, business objects, service operations...), or download what I need from the marketplace,
2. then create the java beans in the NWDS (client and provider, wsdl -> java),
3. create the business logic in the NWDS,
4. publish the services on my Service registry and then
5. use them.
Is that correct?
Or other possibility is just to test some services provided by sap through the https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/esworkplace page?

Why Underlying Software Component not in BASIS objects

Hi,
this problem has puzzled me for a while.
I've create a software component SC1 in SLD with dependance on 2 software components SC2 and SC3 .
SC2 also has a dependance on SC3.
When I import the software component from SLD , SC2 and SC3 are liste un the "underlying software component versions for basis objects list" in the SLD Information tab of the Software component in ESR . However, in the details tab , only SC3 appears in the underlying software component versions list.
This then means that SC2 is not in the basis objects and I need to manually add the SC2 in the details tab in order to use it.
I dont mind but when you transport the SC, you need to do this again in every environnement which is error prone.
Does anyone know why this is the case ... ? Do you have the same problem ? Solutions ?

if A is dependend from B (you see B as prerequisite in A) then you should have :
at IB Repository A:
own namespaces and imported object
basis objects with
B-namespace and imported objects, not changeable (if they are active in B!)
at IB Repository B:
only own namespace and imported objects

Can not view a Software Component Version in Enterprise Services Repository

Hello,
I'm trying to import in ESR the software component version created in the SLD. I'm using SAP PI 7.3.
Into to work area select Software Component Version and click on checkpoint Import from SLD. Click in bottom Display (List of Software Component Versions) and it show me the list but cannot view the Name of the SWC created.
I cleared the cache (Environment - clear sld data cache) and the result it's the same, not show the SWC the I created.
Do you have any idea?

as it's a new installation, you certainly missed something. have you did controls of Readiness Check doc and tcode SLDCHECK ([see PI 7.1x oss note|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1143810]).

Software component with Key ID does not exist

Hi Friends,
           Here I am in need of your help. I got involved in an upgrade from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1. The Basis has imported all the SWC & Business systems from XI 3.0. When I am trying to activate the objects imported from IR of XI3.0 then It is triggering an error as
data retrieving failed from Adapter Metadata | RFC http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. /// ROA_MOA_NOTCOMPLETED.
            Because of this I am unable to activate the imported objects in ID by showing the message as Software component with key ID XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX does not exist.
            when I went there to ESR then under a software component I found a message under underlying components like             " XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX not exist" but I am not aware of the object related to that Key ID.

Hi Neeetesh,
         I got the alternative solution for my problem. All credit goes to you. I recreated the communication channels instead of using the same ones after Upgrad. Any way we need to change the communication channels after importing the channels but the system is giving the above error message as   "Adapter Software component with Key ID XXXXXXXX...... does not exist".
         But its allowing me to create a new channel. Then based on the neetesh suggestion, I went through and create the new comm channels instead of wasting so much time on the same issue.

Error in Integration Scenario: No software Component version exists

Hi Experts,
We have external product and software component like Product "Project Management" we have imported the CIM content for it
Now when we create an Application Component for the same in Integration Scenario in ESR (PI7.1)
while trying to do right click --> Edit Action it gives Error
"" No imported software component version exists for product"
Also note that it allows us to Add new Action there
that is we can right click --> Add action
Kindly help with your suggestions to resolve this << Moderator message - Everyone's problem is important >>.

Could not read list of software component versions

Hi,
I am trying to import software components from sld into esr. When i click on display available components i get the error :
Could not read list of software component versions
The details show:
Could not read list of software component versions
from SLD (COULD_NOT_READ_SWCV)
HTTP response code: 403 (Forbidden)
we were initially getting access issue also in details, but that has been rectified by assigning appropriate roles.\

Use t-code SLDCHECK on ABAP stack to confirm the connection of XI system and SLD.
Check whether SLD and XI system are on same server. Refer to OSS note - 720717 to integrate XI with other SLD.
In the Integration Builder page, Click on the Administration and check the following parameters to make sure they are pointing to right SLD system and port.

Unable to import Software component from SLD :PI71 SP05

     We have created SWC in SLD.
From ESR when we click on "Import from SLD".I am getting error "Could not read list of Software component versions from SLD".In details the error is as follows.

All the eight roles for SLD have been provided in SU01.

Sproxy: Can only see Basis Software Component

Hi Experts,
I am working on 7,4 dual stack PI.
Recently done with all the configurations in PI .But now I want proxy communication with ECC.
For this I created one H type and one G type RFC destinations in ECC to fetch ESR object from PI.
For now I have create only one SWC in SLD of PI and imported it in ESR .Created one Namespace under that.
But ,when I run SPROXY in ECC, it shows only SAP BASIS 7.4 software component and not the other SWC of ESR.
Do we need additional configuration for each of SWCV to get displayed in ECC SPROXY???
I refered the IDES system , in that too I noticed one thing that , out of all the SWC created in ESR of PI only few are diaplyed in IDES ECC SPROXY
why so?

What is the NetWeaver release of the ECC system and the SP release?
See note 1528587 PI ESR Content Objects are not visible in SPROXY, for a description of how/why this can occur. But it may not be the same in your case.

We are working on Modelling in SAP PI, but we are unable to create any Business Object.. is there any specific steps need to be followed.
Once we login to our ESR from index page we have this option to choose
Available Profiles :         Process Definition
                                   Service Definition
                                   Unregistered.
We are getting the option of new types (_Business Object_) only if we select Unregistered Profile and not in other Profiles . Is there some settings need to be done.

Insufficient authorization to import software component version from SLD

i can not import software component version from SLD into ESR. once the software component version has been chosen, a message will be displayed, Insufficient authorization to create object ElementTypeId: 0, Name: SALES, Vendor: sap, Version: 1.0, GUID: 32e93300b3e511decc06ecae0a421877, after CREATE button has been clicked.

Hi Stephen,
If you want to create the SWCV and import that SWCV to the IR/ESR then your user having either one of the below roles.
SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
Go to transaction SU01 and give your user name and click on display.
Now click on Roles tab, here you check the above roles are appearing or not, if not then you don't have privilizes to do that things.
If you don't have that credentials then contact your BASIS guy.

Error While Adding a Software Component

While adding a software component in the SLD, i am getting the below error. Can anybody please suggest me the possible reason for the same.
Storing changes to persistence failed. Please check both your J2EE engine and database are in a healthy running state. (Error: CIM_ERR_FAILED: [NWMss][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Could not allocate space for object 'BC_SLD_CHANGELOG' in database 'X7A' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full.)
Also i would like to know what is a software unit in a SLD??

Error while Deleting Software Component

Hi All,
I am getting following error while deleting Software Component Version:
Unable to Delete object DELETEDEMO_COMPONENET, 1.0 of delete.
You cannot delete a sotware component version if it contains imported interfaces.
Is there any shortcut isntead of deleting all objets manuually?

Hi Sri.
It's very simple
Solution:
Double Click on Software Component, On Right Hand side >Go to Software Component Version->Delete the software component.If all the necessary Objects have been properly deleted, there will be no problem in Deleting the Software Componet version
1) Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings.
2) There should be no Imported SAP Objects in the Software Component. If any delete them and activate changes.
3) Delete all namespaces in the editor using sign. Do not save the changes.
4) Delete the two default data types that are created in the Interface Objects-->Data Types of the software component version (ExchangeFaultdata, ExchangeLogdata). Now save changes for the s/w component version and activate the changes. Ignore the warnings that pop-up.
5) The radio button for u201CInterface import should be at u201CNot permittedu201D instead of u201CImport RFC and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permittedu201D.
6) Now go to Software component version menu in the right hand pane. Click on delete and the software component vanishes from left hand pane

Preciso de uma ajuda de vcs, estou com um ambiente que o BASIS instalou tudo mas o Produto/Software Component SAP NFe 1.0 não está aparecendo no SLD portanto nao consigo fazer a amarracao com o Business System ( que foi criado ).
Vcs sabem me falar a nota ou sp que crie/instale esse produto no meu SLD?

After updating XI(DEV) to following SP19 stacks, the problem was encountered with the export or import of design objects in integration repository.
All following were completed successfully,
1. SAP KERNEL 6.40, to latest patch level 155;
2. SAP BASIS 6.40, from SP15 to SAPKB64019;
3. SAP ABA 6.40, from SP15 to SAPKA64019;
4. SAP J2EE ENGINE 6.40, from SP15 to SP19;
5. XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK CORE 6.40, from SAPXIAFC15 to SAPXIAFC19;
6. XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK 6.40, from SAPXIAF15 to SAPXIAF19;

If I use the "release transfer" function of IR, the new created version can be export correctly.
I've tried to create a new SC and SWCV, it can be export & import correctly.
Also, if copied all of the objects from a namespace to a new namespace, and delete the old one, that SWCV can be export correctly.
Anyone knows what's wrong within my IR?

While Importing some components has missed and the Exception is unable to handle it. Is it possible for you to Import again and check the table space is sufficient.

Some Software Component Versions do not show up in transaction sproxy

I have a landscape with a CRM system, a PI system (with the SLD on it) and some other systems.
In transaction sproxy in the CRM system the Software Component Version SAP CRM ABAP 7.0 shows up, but others that should be there like SAP ABA 7.01 are not there.
So I went on the SLD and edited the technical system for the CRM system, I added the product SAP CRM 7.00 and set the checkmark for installed for the relevant SWCVs like SAP ABA 7.01.
I then went to the business system for the relevant CRM client and there also checked those SWCVs.
But still they do not show up in transaction sproxy in the CRM system.
What am I missing?
