Hi,
Have you installed the Microsoft Loopback Adapter ?
Have a look at the troubleshooting guide which is at the top of this forum.

    Hello Ferhan,
the output of the AboutBox is indicating that you are trying to run SAP GUI for Java on Solaris 10 with x86 CPU. Unfortunately, the library required to be loaded is complied for SPARC. Please have a look at the system requirements part of the manual coming with the installer of SAP GUI for Java or [note 959236|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/959236].

  • Error in Control in eCATT

    Hey,
I recorded a test script which involved recording of some values in GridView Control. I was using SAPGUI(record). The recording went fine but as i executed the test case it resulted in an error saying ..
    Error in eCATT function SAPGUI
    Error in Control
The error is pointing to the screen where it has to start entering values in the grid. The execution stops there and gives me the error as stated above.
I am Using Solution Manager 3.2 with Web AS 6.20 to run eCATT. My SAP GUI is 6.40 with Patch level 8. Is there any limitations as such on Grid Control or some setting which might be missing. Please help me out ASAP.
    Regards,
    Bilal Nazir

    Hey Sasmita,
Well I did a lot of research on it on my own and created quite a number of test cases and was finally able to deduce what actually the problem is.
This problem occured to me when the visibility of the controls especially Grids was dependent on the input data. Usually what happened was that upon recording the follow of screens that actually occured was not happening upon Replay. It was basically because of the state the screen is in when we leave a transaction. I changed the setting to "Do not Close Session upon Completion" so that i had the replay session available to me at the end or Replay. And i saw that the screen was not at the state that it should be. So what I did was changed the screen state on to which it should be at that time and then left the transaction. Now when i Replayed the test case next time it executed perfectly without any errors.
So basically the problem lies within just the dynamic controls and what we have to ensure is that before we replay the script we exit that transaction from a state which we want it to be in upon replay.

    Bilal Nazir

  • Error when using the REF eCATT command ....

    Hi,
When the REF command is used in an eCATT test script to execute another eCATT, only the first REF command executes successfully - all subsequent REF commands fail with these error msgs 'Error in eCATT function SAPGUI', 'Error in Control', 'Message raised at CL_APL_ECATT_LINE_INTERPRETER =CM00K  LINE   347'.
Executed separately, the referenced eCATT test scripts are successful.   Executed from one eCATT test script via the REF command, only the first REF command is successful.  We are on SAP 6.7 6.40, GUI is 6.40 as well.
Any suggestions would be appreciated - Thanks !

Thanks for the reply, Jonathan.   Still having the same problem after implementing your suggestion.   Any other suggestions you have would be appreciated.
The ResetGUI = 'X' was done for each command interface in the REFerenced test scripts.   The ResetGUI statement was only found immediately after the 'Command Interface' statement (wasn't found after the 'Processed Screen' statement).
The error still happens for the second and all subsequent test scripts referenced by the 'REF' command.   In the failed REF test scripts, the ConnectionID, SessionID, and SystemInfo statements are the failed statments (red lights beside them).   These three statements are immediately after the ResetGUI = 'X' statment (which has a green light).
Different execution options have been tried, including closing, and not closing, generated GUI sessions.
Really at a loss here to figure out how to get the REF statement to work !

  • Solution Manager - eCatt issues during rec/exec of SAPGUI based scripts

    Hi all,
after the last support package set up I started to encounter some problems during the recording and the execution of test scripts based on SAPGUI command.
    During recording:
    First time I try to record a transaction, after selecting SAPGUI command-->start recording; prompted to target system I try to logon, but obtain an error;
Second time the recording process goes on, but it happens that the system creates more than one  window describing the new session's data (the windows has title "Record SAP GUI Command" and subtitle "New Session with Following Data was created")... Another one of such pop up is created even if I create another session of the target system...
    During execution:
The first time I try to execute a test script which begins with a SAPGUI command the script fails with the following error:
Target Sys Zssssss_een->een_ccc->een (Target Sys Zssssss_een->een_ccc->een)
    Error in eCATT command SAPGUI
Error when Starting Replay Session. Possible Causes: 1. Scripting Is Deactivated in Replay System.
    2. User Has Not Logged On Within 00:00:45 Hours or Has No Dialog Rights. 3. Too Many Session Are
    Open.
If I try to re-execute the same script a second time, everything goes fine, and I can complete script execution.
Does anyone have encountered similar problems?
Thanks in advance for any solution/suggestion,
    Maurizio

    Hi Francesco,
Thanks a lot. But we have already resolved the problem. The error was in the ecatt script. In tcode secatt, after recording, the script included the rfc destination which was to be removed manually.

  • Webdynpro activation - ABAP/JAVA

    Hi ,
I activated the components neccessary for ABAP Webdynpro in SICF.
But still when i click show/hide layout preview, its saying NO VENDOR SPECIFIED
I am able create a view,component..and other things..but only when i clik to create elements inside the view...
    its giving this error...
Meanwhile..I dont think JAVA webdynpro server installed in my landscape..
Could anyone provide some information regarding the above queries....
    Regards,
    Ashok

Java has no part in Web Dynpro ABAP. It is in no way a prerequisite.  The only part of Web Dynpro ABAP that needs Java is the call to the Adobe Document Services for the InteractiveForm UI element.
    >But still when i click show/hide layout preview, its saying NO VENDOR SPECIFIED
    >I am able create a view,component..and other things..but only when i clik to create elements inside the view...
    its giving this error...
I've never heard of anyone getting such an error. It doesn't really make sense in this place. Is the error within the preview area or is the error coming as a SAPGUI error from the workbench?  Is this a trial/sneak preview system or an offically supported installation?

  • Problem with CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER

    Hi,
I play with the standard example, program : SAP_PDF_VIEWER_DEMO.
I would like to automatically print the PDF. So, I had the following code at the end of the OUTPUT :
          CALL METHOD my_pdf_viewer->print
         EXCEPTIONS
           cntl_error        = 1
           cntl_system_error = 2
           OTHERS            = 3.
This result with a shortdump when the program make the flush. In the program "FUNCTION AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH", with the message: MESSAGE_TYPE_X.
Do I have forgot something important ? or is it a sapGui error like it is writen in the shortdump ?

  • SAPGUI for Java 7 rev 3 - error in Solution Manager

I am trying to view a document through tcode SOLAR02 (on Java based GUI) and I get below error. This works fine on SAPGUI 640 version. Any clue why it throws this dump?
    Exception condition "DP_ERROR_GET_DATA" raised.
    How to correct the error
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "RAISE_EXCEPTION" " "
    "SAPLCNDP" or "LCNDPU09"
    "DP_GET_TABLE"
    or
    "SAPLCNDP" "DP_ERROR_GET_DATA"
    or
    "SOLAR_START " "DP_ERROR_GET_DATA"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
    Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCNDP" - in "DP_GET_TABLE".
The main program was "SOLAR_START ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 120
    of the (Include) program "LCNDPU09".

  • Error no. 4 in SAPGUI during graphic call or file transfer.

    Hi,
In the landscape there are still 46b sap version, i have some functional queries that when i executes go to the sap graphic screen and it throws with no output. I understand that that it works in ECC version but not for 46b.
This issue is related to SAPGUI, as i have the latest sapgui installed 710 that works well for ECC.
But if i input the parameter in sap 46b system , and execute to get the graphic chart i get this:
The Generation of Graphs for Stock Movements in the MC49 Transaction.
When you call a hierarchy graphic, the following error messages are displayed
    1. 'Too much data in a table or too many tables defined
    2. E4: error writing to XC pipe: child #1 ( id: STAT ); reclen12
    3. Error no. 4 in SAPGUI during graphic call or file transfer.
I have also look in to note 316232, 361222, 96885. for this but  this says to upgrade the sapgui, which is already in.
What is the solution for this.
    Regards,
    Chetan.

Take a look at this thread.  This may provide you some guidance as it appears that Error has been encountered before.

Following are the stuff i checked out after that...
1.Microsoft Loopback adapter installed as per instructions after GUI Error(after installation of NW, is it a problem?)

    3. The etc/hosts file has the following entries as well
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    10.10.0.10 surya-w68na
surya-w68na being my hostname, this is the loopback address
4.Services File is fine with following entries...
    sapdbni72 7269/tcp
    sapdp00  3200/tcp
    sapmsNSP 3600/tcp

One thing puzzling is i dont see the disp+work  in SAPMMC process list , not even in disconnected or error state (only msg_server is up) and there is no dev* trc file for the dispatcher in work directory...
do i need to add an entry somewhere so that dispatcher is also started..??
Many people have had this issue and i have checked quite a few threads before starting this one,Any suggetions or solutions  are very much appreciated....am struggling with this for quite sometime now...
    Thanks
    Gnana

try to ping your ip from command prompt
    Ping 10.10.0.10
And make sure your firewall is switched off
surya-w68na (hostname)  As per my understanding your hosname should be before any special character. Have you installed NSP properly. As you said
One thing puzzling is i dont see the disp+work in SAPMMC process list
so it seems that your NSp has not installed properly

    The Java gui runs
    - on 64bit only
    - on SPARC hardware only (not on x86)
    If you execute the command
    file /opt/SAPClients/SAPGUI7.10rev8/bin/libJPlatin.so
you'll see that the library is just for SPARC.

  • Error calling appl. via OLE OA175 after inst. Patch4 or 5 of SAPGUI 7.20

I have maintained a OLE application with the "oaa4 ArchiveLink:Application Maintenance" to do special work on documents with special type.
It worked very well until I installed the Patch4 or Patch5 of the SAPGUI 7.20.
Now I get the message: "Error calling Application via OLE ...".
It looks like a bug in the patches but may be there is something wrong with me (or my application). Has someone any experience with this patch or with this error message.
In the meantime I got an answer:
You have to grant your OLE application in the security options in the SAP-GUI-Configuration.
Edited by: Terkosh on Feb 13, 2012 3:48 PM

how do I grant the OLE application ?
