SAPGUI Requirements for ECC5.0 Backend

Sir or Madam,
I'm just starting the planning phase for an upgrade to ECC5.0 and was curious what SAPGUI version is required for use with ECC5.0. All of my users are currently using the 6.2 front-end.

We use already ECC5.0
Our SAPGUI is 6.20 patch-level 60 without any problems.

you will have to create manager as portal role and assigned to them necessary worksets containing necessary worksets look into the PCD in migrated content and line *?? folder you will have necessary ESS and Mss packages. and all configs is related to iviews system properties and transactions and applications you need to do it .please do not forget to give points

The space of ecc5 is as per given hereunder:-
ECC5 IDES = 180GB with 1GB RAM
ECC5 Non IDES = 120 GB with 1 GB Ram.

Hi,
Are you using the standard iview. If that's the case you need to configure in the backend. Meaning you need to store the photo in the Org management(HR) which the HR functional guys will do. You just need to add the iview to your role.

BI 7.01 SP06 Software Requirements for Backend System (Source System) ECC6

We currently have a NW BI 7.0 SP18 system and an ECC 6.0 SP17 system.
We are looking into upgrading our BI 7.0 to a BI 7.0 EhP 1 SP06.
I've been searching for information on any Software requirements for the ECC 6.0 system to make sure it's compatible with the BI 7.0 EhP1 system.
My question is :
Our ECC 6.0 is @ SP 17, which is equivalent to ECC 6.0 EhP 4 SPS 03.
As a prerequisite for BI 7.0 EhP1 I've read ECC6.0 needs to be at EhP4.
1). Is it adequet to have Support Packs equivalent to EhP4?(SP17)
Or do I need to actually apply EhP4 on the ECC 6.0 system?
2). What is the requirement from a PI & PI-Basis prespective on the ECC 6.0 system, for it to work with BI 7.0 EhP 1 SP06?
Our ECC 6.0 currently has PI_Basis 2005_1_700 SP 17.
Where can I fiind information on this?

If its a prerequisite then you have to apply it. When we upgraded our systems we upgraded both ECC and BI to EhP4/NW EhP1 and EhP1 respectively.

Our ECC 6.0 currently has PI_Basis 2005_1_700 SP 17.
PI_Basis on both the systems will be 7.01 as they are upgraded as part of NW EhP1. You have to use Maintenance Optimizer for downloading EhP's which will take care of all the dependencies.

SAP R3 and BI system requirement for loading Inventory data (0IC_C03)

Hi,
I have installed the Business content for 0IC_C03,activated the required datasources in R3 and replicated the same in SAP BI.
However, while filling up setup tables the load is getting failed and it is giving error "No internal table space....".
This is related to memory issues in SAP R3.Please let me know the minimum system requirement to do the above activity,
for example RAM,parameters to be set from basis point of view,etc.The backend is MSSQL 2003 having RAM of 20GB.There is around one crore of data.
Please let me as soon as possible.

Error: Preceding document required for the invoice is not available

Dear SRM Experts,
We are on SRM7.0 with SAP 4.6 C as backend SAP R/3 system (Classic Deployment).
When we try to create an invoice in SRM wrt a PO ( with item category B ... created from a limit SC with invoice only option), we get an error :
Line 1: Preceding document required for the invoice is not available
We are not sure ..why this error is coming and what preceding document system is checking ?
As the PO is with item category B.. the GR is not required
Any inputs will be highly appreciated..

This error usually comes up when the PO has the flag GR_BASEDIV set. Please check your PO and verify if it is flagged.

The SAP components you would be needed are
SAP MDM5.5 or 7.1
- MDM server
- MDIS server
- MDSS server
SAP SRM5.5 or 7.0
SAP SRM-MDM business content
WAS engine typically used for deploying sca files given by SAP for configuring MDM as catalog. Mostly was engine of SRM is used in such case.
If you need an integration with backend system SAP PI will be used.

I'm working in a client who has several requirements for an E-Recruiting Project, since I'm not an expert in this module, I would like to share these requirements willing to get inputs from you for I begin my job on the right track:
1 - How can I feed automatically position postings to targeted job boards (CareerBuilder, Monster, etc.) and popular social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook?
2 - Is there a mobile friendly application which allows position searches and applications?
3 - Can we have an option for Agency Access through the Career Site, which means Approved Recruitment Agencies are able to submit candidates online?
4 - How can we capture mobility (willingness to relocate / travel) at the time of position application?
5 - I do not know if it is a SAP question, but is it possible we have a method for search engine optimization for our open positions in order to have them rank well in external search engines, such as Google.

Hi,
the candidates are in the e-recruiting system, have the good role, but the name and email is only visible in the list after having changed the BP data in the backend system. It's rare. The result list gives fe. 5 records, but you cannot see the name of the candidate in the result screen. When you open the record, and you ask for the data preview, all data is shown. It's only in the result list that the data is not shown. But, after you have changed somethin in the bp-data in the backend, then the data is shown in the result list. Therefor, I'm looking for a report which 'reloads' the data to be shown in the result list.

System Requirements for installing Windows Advanced Server2003 & SapBW 3.0b

Cud someone lemme know I want 2 install Win Adv Server'03 with Sap-BW 3.0b in my laptop. It has 100 gb hdd & 512 mb ram 1.73 Ghz m processor??

what is your question ? you want to know if you can install the same ? - the answer would be yes .. but then questions would be :
1. What DB are you using ?
2. What version of BW3.0b are you using ? - IDES or NON IDES ?
refer the quicksizing document available on the support portal to estimate your memory requirements...
Your memory looks very less... 500 MB would be enough only for the OS and Application - you will run out of memory for DB and other users ... 1 to 2 GB would be comfortable....
Teh thumb rule for the same is :
500 MB for Application and DB ( It depends on DB usage ...)
300 MB per user ( front end + backend )
Additional Memory requirement for OS....

Several valid responses are already posted. Let me add a few additional considerations for your requirements analysis, the most difficult issue for hardware sizing/capacity planning.
First of all, you need to identify the business solution you intend to run in the NW environment which means what components of NW stack you will using (like EP, XI, BW, etc.). You need to find the how the end user will access your system. In case an end user access outside of the LAN (say via WAN or dial-up) using https, it will have additional requirements for your hardware as you will need compression enabled for improved response time for WAN. Adding compression or SSL may add additional hardware if you based your sizing based on LAN.
Now for an example, if you have EP in your system, you need to understand how large (say in KB) an average portal page is. How it is connected to the backend system, if any. You need to find out the performance requirements in terms of a predefined "transaction (say an end user click and response)" or in terms of number of either logged-on users (may not be active always but logged on) or concurrent users (active users) or combination of them.
It will make your proper hardware planning challenging. One easy approach is after you define your test case, run some load test on your QA/Staging system. Use the load test data and find out the hardware requirements based on load test. If your requirement is larger than the staging system, you may have to take a staged approach. In that case you roll-out the system to a certain number of users and monitor the system and plan for additional users based on the monitored results.
