SAPGUI unable to connect just hangs there
I completed an installation - everything was successful
MMC shows all status green
SQLServer Logs has sufficient space to grow
When I tried to login, I get a status bar message, Waiting to Connect and it stays there forever.
Has anyone seen this before, any help greatly appreciated. Points will be awarded.
Thank you !
Hi David, we meet again, hope you manage to get your IISProxy issue resolved.
Yes, I did.
App server - hostname
SID - SM2
System Number - 01
Ironically there's another SAP system on the same system with a different system number
App server - hostname
SID - SMD
system number - 00
and the second system works
Also when I stop the first SAP system (SMD) the 'hanging windows that says waiting for response' errors out with a message 'disconnected'

I cannot download the ios 5.1. I'v tried doing it through itunes after downloading the latest itunes. It says that my phone and ipad both have new updates and tries to coonect to update software server. That is where it hangs up and just keeps trying to connect but never does. Then when I try to update my devices over wifi, it tries and thens gives me a download failed message after a few minutes. What do I do?
This has solved loads of people who have this issue and have used an alternate DNS setting. Below are instructions for both iPhone OTA and on you Mac
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
Change DNS Servers
Settings -> Wi-Fi
Click the blue arrow on your connected network
Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Try again
If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
On your Mac
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.
Click DNS, and then click Add at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 address for the DNS server.
You can use OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
or
You can Google Public DNS if you want
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
I have actually repointed my routers DNS so all my devices now point to OpenDNS servers -
I hope someone can help with this
I am now unable to send any photos from my iPad2, When I got this last December it worked fine and I could easily take a picture and send it.
About a month ago I tried it and it and it failed, I was abroad and did not think it was a problem?
Although I have not changed anything to my set up outhe than automatic software upgrades on the iPad it refuses to work.
I can send emails without photos and tried rebooting and re setting the internet connection,
The email just sits in the outbox and I get the following message?
connection to the outgoing server "smtp. gmail.com" failed
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated ThanksThanks for replying and your time.

Cisco VPN connection just 'hangs', during connection.
Hello all.
I have installed Cisco VPN Client 4.6.00.0045, every so often when I try to connect it, it prompts for the username and password, which I enter, then it appears to try and connect but nothing, I have left it and left it for over 1hr at times, to see is its just slow, but nothing.
If I try and click on the Cancel Connection option, it doesnt cancel, if I use Task Manager, to end task it doesnt, the only way I appear to be able to 'get the system running' is by restarting the workstation.
My workstation is on a works network, other PCs are able to connect using the same VPN details, so it cant be Firewall etc...
My PC is running XP Pro SP2
Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Assigned VA private interface addr xx.xx.xx.xxxHave been having the same issue for several months. Similar configuration with XP Pro (SP3 now) using VPN Client 5.0.02.0090.
When the VPN client hangs, the svchost.exe uses up 100% of the CPU and a reboot is the only solution. Sometimes it take 5 or 6 reboots before the VPN will connect.
If I wait long enough after the initial login, I can usually connect but this does not always help. If I wait too long, however, or run other programs before I start the VPN Client, it will hang. If the system disconnects for some reason, the VPN client usually hangs on the reconnect.
I've been looking for an answer to this problem for some time now and this is the fist place I've seen where another user was experiencing the same issue. -

I just try to run through the Oracle Warehouse Builder 11g tutorial, I did every steps as the tutorial did and everything was good until I try to deploy the objects,

I try to deactive all execution and re-deploy it again, still the same problem..
Anyone knows what's going on with this situation??Hi David,

Why do Apps not update after installing iOS6? They just hang there!
WHy do apps not update after installing iOS6?
Each time? every day? Just plain crazy! Updates happen automatically on your mac....why not the same thing on ipad/iphone?
If the app was purchased on my phone with my account, surely they do not need to "verify" my credentials each time. If my phone was stolen and someone purchased a $20 app surely my $300 phone is more important?
They need to come up with e better solution...when we all have hundred or thousands of apps on our devices what then? -

After 3 years of happily using iTunes store all of a sudden I can no longer connect. There is no error message, the attempted connection just hangs. Why?
I ran the iTunes diagnostic and got a positive result - I am, apparently, in contact with the Store. But I still cannot connect. I have carried out all ther suggested operations ... and still cannot connect! The diagnostics gave me the following report:

Firefox unable to connect to webpages
Hi,
I am running Firefox 7.0.1 on Win7x64. Many times lately Firefox is unable to connect to webpages. It just hangs there saying "connecting" with the spinning ball on the tab, but nothing happens. No error message, no nothing.
I know it is not a problem with the Firewall. I have tried in Safe Mode and have the same problem. I know it is not an internet connection issue as all other browsers work fine. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, to no effect.
This problem generally manifests itself a minute or two after opening Firefox.
Please help, thanksTry the solution in this help page. It worked for me great.

Socket not used and just hangs program?
Hi, I'm writing a server class and in it, I try to open a socketserver and a socket. However, I found that when the socket tries to open up, the program will just hang there. I think part of the problem is because eclipse is saying that my socket object is never used. Despite having this line: "socket = serverSocket.accept();" being executed. Can someone shed some light into what is causing this to not be used/hang?
package Server;
import java.io.IOException;
import java.net.*;
import javax.swing.JFrame;
import javax.swing.JTextArea;
public class Server extends JFrame {
private JTextArea console;
private static ServerSocket serverSocket;
private static Socket socket;
public Server() {
super("Server");
this.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
console = new JTextArea();
//opens the serverSocket
try {
serverSocket = new ServerSocket(5000);
System.out.println("serverSocket opened");
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
//opens the socket
try {
socket = serverSocket.accept();
System.out.println("socket opened and didn't hang");
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
console.setText("Awaiting connection...");
//finalize
this.add(console);
this.setSize(400, 300);
this.setVisible(true);
private static void closeAll()
//closes the socket
// try {
// socket.close();
// System.out.println("socket closed");
// } catch (IOException e) {
// e.printStackTrace();
//closes the serverSocket
try {
serverSocket.close();
System.out.println("serverSocket closed");
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
public static void main( String args[]) {
Server serverWindow = new Server();
closeAll();
System.out.println("end");
}Hi, I'm writing a server class and in it, I try to open a socketserver and a socket.Why the socket?
However, I found that when the socket tries to open up, the program will just hang there.And it will do that until someone connects to your server.
I think part of the problem is because eclipse is saying that my socket object is never used.Is it really? I find that rather hard to believe.
The problem is that your socket is never used, by a client. So accept() blocks forever. What exactly did you expect?
The norm is to accept sockets in a loop in a separate thread. And process each accepted socket in another thread, per accepted socket. And to never do blocking I/O in the AWT event-dispatching thread. And not to have servers with GUIs as a matter of fact. And certainly never to have a single static socket variable BTW: this is evidence of very unclear thinking> Even the server socket should be an instance variable. -
After first time installation, system did not restart, just hanged.
Hello
I am new to ur world of mac.
I tried to install os x 10.4 on an intel pc.
All went excellent. But at the end when it said to restart,
it just hanged there and did not restart.
I used the reset button, but it didn't boot
error message was "B0 error"That is right - upgrade to Mac as in purchase a Mac which now have Intel processors and the ability to also install and use Windows XP or Vista along with OS X on the same computer.
I wonder if u have gone thru Apple's OS X license agreement recently?
I have gone through the Apple website recently but I don't need to. Regardless, the answer remains the same and will not change. If you want to run OS X, you need to purchase a Mac. -
After compile, run DAQ program just hang
The exe program(LV2010) can running well. After I copied it to another laptop with only 2010 runtime installed, it cannot run just hang there after I click the 'start' button in my program. Even difficult to kill it.
I also installed ni-scope and DAQ max on the new machine.
Any suggestion, thanks.Try calling the function from a different C program (exe or dll) and see if you see the same behavior as a you saw when calling the function from LabVIEW. I would also suggest compiling a debug version of the dll, call it from LabVIEW, and step through the code. Lastly, make sure you trap any error codes in the DLL to see if you are timing out, etc.
