SAPinst- at Input Phase

Hi All,
There is a problem uring hte installtion with the sapinst.
iam trying to install SCM 05 SR2
when i start it with the sapinst , i got this error.
Caught a known exception during service selection.
Errortext: ESAPinstException:
error text undefined
Message stack: 103 syslib.filesystem.nodeDoesNotExist
D:/IM_WINDOWS_X86_64/NW04S/WEBAS/IND,
206 Please inform the installation development,
execution will be terminated now.
do anybody have the idea to solve the problem, its urgent.

I think u forgot to set the environment variables for JAVA.
After installing java u have to set environment variables.
Right click on my computers->properties->advanced->environment variables
here u will get two variables user variable,system variable
Goto uservariable press new button
u will get a popup with two fields
variable name: JAVA_HOME u have type
variable value:u have to specify the jre path(in which drive u installed)

SAPinst error during phase Create DB statistics (sapcheck)

I am currently installing an SAP ERP 6.0 EhP4/NW7.01 Java system when I enncountered this error during the phase Create Database Statistics.
Error says

I've checked this directory and I did not find the folder sapcheck. that is because my sapcheck is located in a different drive (E:). why is sapinst looking at the wrong directory and how can i point sapinst to use drive E instead?
i was thinking maybe i could copy the folder sapcheck from drive E to drive d and continue with the installion. what will be its impact if i do this?
by the way, my OS is windows 2003.
please advise.

It seems that while defining the Path of SAP and Oracle there is something wrong that's the reason it is looking somewhere else. If you will copy from E Drive installation will continue but it will be keep searching on D drive everytime. As you are on initial stage to install a new System i would suggest to stop the installation Master and start it from Scratch and define the FIle System Directly once again as you want.

SAPinst error at phase import abap

We've just recently uninstall SAP ERP from QAS server due to crash and started to install SAP again on the server. I've encounter error on abap import (Phase 24/64) on installation. SAPinst.log shows below error;-

Measuring Phase Difference of acquired sound input - How to set the reference

I am trying to measure the phase difference between two audio inputs.(Left and Right Channel of my sound card)
Both are free running 1kHz audio samples which come in and out of phase.
When the samples are in phase everything seems to be working correctly and shows no phase difference.
However once the signals start to go out of phase +-10deg the result keeps jumping around.
It appears to be the fact that it is changing the reference to determine the phase.
When I view the output phase of a channel it is a sawtooth waveform moving from 250deg and then wraps round to -110deg
What I want is to fix one input at 0 degrees and see the others inputs phase difference against it.
Is there a way to set one signal as the reference or an alternative strategy?

I did some modifications to my first vi. Now is the amplitude problem removed. At least in then I simulate. You may test in real world:smileytongue:
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

EP installation SAPINST HANGS

System details: windows 2003, jdk 1.4.2_10, sql 2000, ecc 5.0 unicode
sequence of installation: abap (central and database instance) java add-in,upgrade java instance to sp16
Current: installation of EP
Problem 1: On screen of Portal platform for sap java system it shows J2EE Engine: DEV DBTYPE UNDEFINED
Problem: Sapinst hangs on deploy jdbc libraries
For problem i read that from netweaver sr01 portal can be installed on abap+java system, as java add-in is seperately installed on another schema.
For problem 2 java.exe.log is shown below:

I downloaded sap crypto.. lib, sda file and try to deploy it via sdm but when i execute remotegui.bat, after entering the default password 'sdm' it give the error
ERROR: Could not establish connection to server SAPDevSrv at port 50018: Connection refused: connect
Further to add,i find scs(java instance running)in sapmmc, but there is no entry for java.exe in task manager, i use jcontro.exe pf=<..> file

the problem is solved a little bit, the sapinst moved few phases ahead.
what i did was that i started deploying sda file via sdm command mode and i started the sdm server from command mode.
But now there is another error of compilation. the callSdmviaSAPinst.log

sapinst Component Installation Guide requires logging in as root.
Nevertheless I have tried to run sapinst as <sid>adm, but the job crashed at the beginning.

Pausing SAPinst to adjust Oracle init.ora parameter

Guys, I'm doing an unicode system import and its taking too long. So I intend to adjust some of the oracle memory and other parameters as recommended the SAP notes.
However, in SAPinst, from the phases of db creation, tablespace creation, r3load process and till the end is one continuous phase. I want to stop SAPinst right after the db creation phase, so that I can edit init.ora, restart the db and proceed with the r3load phase.
how do i do it ? I've tried making a dummy change to the location of the "import directory", to trick sapinst to stop on purpose, but this doesnt seem to be working.
do it need to edit the confusing control.xml or keydb.xml, i miss those *.r3s days.

Yes.
Or select "start migration monitor manually". Sapinst will then stop, you can reconfigure the database and then use the import monitor to import the database.

I have very same problem as u had.
I have a voltage signal and i need to get amplitudes and phases(from harmonics after FFT). For example my signal has 50hz, and i need to get amplitude and phase of 3th(150hz), 5th(250hz),7th(350hz),9th(450hz),11th(550hz),13th(650hz) harmonics. After that i need to build a new signal, should by polynolmial, or at least a basic function to build a new signal can be cosinus.
For better expla ation Ive attached formula which i need to get. k are next harmonics of basic frequency. Sin(+pi/2) <- i mean it as a cosinus, + alphak is a phase
I ve tried to get phases and amplitudes of each harmonics by "Tone measurements"(it can search for chosen frequency) and copy that multiply times(up to13th harmonics, so copied 6times) but dont know what to do next.

Dialog Instances Java are not up after System Copy NW2004s SR2 ABAP+JAVA

Hello guys,
I have just performed a system copy of our BW system (douple stack NW2004s) wich consists from CI and 2 DIs. First I made an export using SAPINST (Software from SAP_BUSINESS_SUITE_2005_SR2 for sparc solaris), where I choosed in SAP Installation Master->SAp Netweaver 2004s Support Release 2->Additional Software Life-cycle Tasks->System Copy->Oracle->Source System->Central System->Based on ABAP and Java->Database and Central Instance Export. I couldn't find any special task for export java from my dialog instances, so I thought it would be ok like that. Then I used the same software on my target system, choosed ...Additional Software Life-cycle Tasks->System Copy->Oracle->Target System->Central System->Based on ABAP and Java->Central System Installation. In the Dialog input phase of SAPINST I indicated that use db specific tools to copy your database. So I made the database restore+recovery with our DB tools and continued withthe SAPINST and Import.
Afterwards the ABAP part and Java on the central Instance run perfect, but Java Stack is not up by both of Dialog Instances. I have checked the configtool on the server where the CI is running (the DIs are running on different linux servers) and couldn't see any entries for my dialog instances, only the CI was seable there. I tried to start configtool from the application server, but there I could find only the file config.properties in the directory /usr/sap/<SID>/.../j2ee/configtool/, others were simply not there, so it was impossible to start it. Have i forgotten something by EXPORT/IMPORT or I should just use other software for coping a System with douple stack on a CI and DIs? Or should I get configtools for Linux platform ( have searched but not found yet) and try to make the same changes wich i have done by the CI before i started Java on the CI? The most irritated point is that i can't see the dialog instanes in Configtool from the CI.
Any other suggestions and good advices?

Parallel export/Import for exchange directory

Hi,
We have executed the homogeneous system copy(Win08/Ora 11) on ECC6 EHP4 and in order to speed up the process i have selected the parallel export/Import option on target system as export on source system is been executing by some other vendor.
During Import abap phase it's displaying as" waiting -- mins for packahe data in exhange directory" as i have provided the path during input phase of "communication parameters for Import" in Exchange directory as <export directory>/Data.
is this correct path and i have read some where that <TABART>.SQL will be generated if on source system the same parallel expot/import option has enabled.And i couldn't find *.SQL files on export directory.
Does it mean that guy who is executing on source system has not consider this option/not generated the SQl file with SMIGR_CREATE_DDL ?
NB: i am executing import with SAPINST

Kindly check in the export directory path, whether <package>.SGN files been generating or not .
Also, we can check in exportmonitor.log.After export of individual pacakge, log says package transfered to network share directory.Even if it not merntions in log, parallel exp/imp not possible
If it generates, parallel import will happen;If not, it will not.
Its nothing to do with SQL files.

If you do the installation properly you
- start sapinst (first!)
- you continue with the installation until sapinst stops and request you to start the database software installation
- then you install the Oracle software with the given script (RUNINSTALLER)
- you apply the patches (10.2.0.2 or 10.2.0.4)
- you patch the OPatch tool
- you apply the all interim patches (on Unix using MOPatch)
- and you THEN press on OK to continue.

If that message appears you did not follow the installation guide.
Most installation problems (environment variables, listener, sql scripts, R3load etc.) come because people tend to install the database before they start sapinst - which is wrong if you install a SAP system.
I have done many many installations on various platforms and I never got the error message that "Oracle is not installed".

Need to install BI Java on existing NW server

Dear Experts,
We have installed AS (ABAP + JAVA)+EP and upated with BI content and patches,
our BI consultant wanted to create reports using Bex, which requires BI JAVA. I tried to install it using sapinst , In the input phase i select AS Java , BI JAVA and EP on the next screen i gave the SID (of Existing server TBI) then it gives the message saying
DATABASE SCHEMA
Database objects have been found in the database schema (SAPTBIDB) used for this installation , you must delete these objects or use another database or sap sid as entered in the previous dialogs
clean up database schema [check box]
Here the question is how do i install BI Java on the Existing Netwear server.
please advice at the earliest.

Urgent - How to change UME datasource during Installation

I am installing a SAP ERP 2005 SR2 system on Windows- Oracle. My question is I want to change UME datasource to dataSourceConfiguration_r3.xml
But when I run SAPinst, during all input phase it never ask me for choosing UME datasource.
Can somebody guide me how to do it! its a Urgent one!

Hi,
You can change using the config tool.
But why do you want to change ? If your installation is an add-in then it would be the same it would refer to the abap-system if it is an addin.
Any ways you can change it ,but y default it will select the
datasourceconfigration_r3_rw.xml.
in config tool open it in configuration editor mode and then navigate to cluster>data>server>cfg>services and borwse for data source config

Error in JAVA install in CRM

Hi,
I am doing Java Add On installation in CRM system (after upgrade from CRM 3.0 to 5.0). Its in central instance installation phase(SCS and DB instance done). I am getting an error in 'Enter the central instance ' input phase. There are 4 entries in the drop down with same instance name. I have tried to go ahead with each entry, however its giving error message that 'Caught EKdException in Modulecall: single select returns more than on row '.
Any ideas?
