SAPInst could not be executed on Solaris 9

Hi,
I have a problem running SAPInst tool on Solaris 9 and would like to get some suggestions from you.
When run SAPInst -v either from the cdrom or from a local mount point, I am not getting any response back. The cursor is blinking but nothing registered on the host after SAPInst executed.
Any suggestions?
We have checked the followings without success:
1. Environment settings
2. Shared Memories
3. File Systems
4. Patch level for the OS
5. Tried running it with a different version of SAPInst without success
6. working with the Unix team to figure this out and yet find a solution for it.
7. when ran the command>find / . -name <file>
Nothing came back. The cursor keeps on blinking away.
8. when tried to run ./sapinst, same thing happened.
9. while both of the above commands running. We could not see any registered on the host when ran another session and do command >prstat |more
10. we tried to run it both from the CDROM mount point and from the local mount, no success there either.
Any idea is greatly appreciate it.

Are you installing NW04SR1 on Solaris x86 64 or 32 bit? if so, consider checking the hardware compatibility Matrix.
I have tried installing NW04SR1 on solaris x86 and sapinst fails.

There are guesses, but I would check:
1. Does the target directory exist?
2. Does the CF application server account does not have
rights to access directory?

Model entry point 'test uuts' could not be executed error -18002

Hi,
I am running a testand(2.0.1f1) sequence of labview (7.0) steps and it is working perferctly in my computer , but when installing testand and labview in another computer and I try to run my sequence the next message appears. "model entry point 'test uuts' could not be executed error -18002"
Is anyone that has an idea of what is happening here?

Hi Eren,
You might try mass compiling the TestStand folders so that all VI's are at the same Version. TestStand 2.0.1f1 installs VI's that are at ver5.1.1
When you run from the Entry Point eg "Test UUTs", before the sequence executions all VI's in all the sequence contained in the sequence file are loaded in to memory.
Look at the error message again, it should be telling you which step in which sequence of the sequence file is not executable.

F8 doesn't work / query could not be executed

I've had a form that worked perfectly until I started to put some of the fields on a new canvas in a new window (in the same form). Since then, I get the error "ORACLE ERROR: query could not be executed" when pressing F8 or starting "execute_query" by a button trigger.
Can anyone help me where to search the error?

CRM_ORDER A 017 - An authorization check could not be executed

Hello Experts,
I am using FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN in order to create an Activity, and all works well, when I set up some test data within SAP.
However when I attempt to execute this from WEB UI, I get the error message CRM_ORDER A 017 - An authorization check could not be executed.
A Colleague of mine changed his Authorisation to SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW, and he still got the same error. Which kind of makes me think its not a simple auth issue, also I use the same user to create on-line and also via testing on SAP.
But the WEB UI keeps giving me this error.
I would be grateful if anyone who has come across this could pass on their knowledge of how to overcome it.

Apologies, I found the answer myself, straight after I posted this message, isn;t that always the way.
Turns out I wasn't being passed the process_type as expected and thus it raised the no_authority error. Which is what caused the initial confusion. But got there in the end

Is this problem is linked with apps user's password length because it is 17 char long and may be apps password variable is not that much longI could not find any reported bugs/notes about the password length, only a bug (5859062) about the domain name length.

SAP Conversion Agent: HL7 library project could not be executed

Hi experts
I'm using SAP Conversion Agent version 4.3.0 on a PI 7.0. I'm trying to use a HL7 library project. On the Conversion Agent Studio side everythings works fine: the library project is created and a test of the service with a local HL7 file was successful. After that I make the project on the Conversion Agent Studio available and copy the project from the local \SAP\ConversionAgent\ServiceDB directory to the PI Conversion Agent ServiceDB directory.
So far so good... but when I try to execute the CA project via File Sender Adapter the following error is thrown:

I have crated the Query via Query Designer and would like to execute/see the results.

I have also another hint from SELinux.
When I change the SELinux parametr from Enforced to Permissive, and I run the SAPinst program, the SELinux pops up the following alert:

(http://people.redhat.com/drepper/selinux-mem.html) web page explains how to
remove this requirement. You can configure SELinux temporarily to allow
/tmp/sapinst_exe.6387.1318347447/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so to use relocation
as a workaround, until the library is fixed. Please file a bug report
(http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi) against this package.
Allowing Access:
If you trust /tmp/sapinst_exe.6387.1318347447/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so to
run correctly, you can change the file context to textrel_shlib_t. "chcon -t

change the default file context files on the system in order to preserve them

Hallo!I am a total Solaris newbie. I am trying to install Oracle 10g on Solaris 10 but when I run the runInstaller,th following error appears
Could not execute auto check for display colors using command /usr/openwin/bin/xdpyinfo. Check if the DISPLAY variable is set. Failed <<<<I have set the display parameters in the oracle user via command
$ export DISPLAY=joey-solaris:0.0
The SUNWxwplt is installed.
How do I resolve this?

Do you have an x-server (such as Exceed or xming) running on your workstation?
Did you set DISPLAY to the ip of your workstation, not the solaris server?
DISPLAY is redirecting "x" output to the specified location (your workstation), and there needs to be an x-server running at that location.

I'm trying to install Solution Manager 4.0 SR3 with MaxDB 7.6.02 Build12.
But SAPinst does not finish the following task ...

We resolved the problem.
Problem:
Installation of 7.0 using MaxDb on Windows x64 hangs on the sapinst at the step CreateDbSchema..
There is no error in the installation log.
We are using the specified JDK (JAVA development kit) as specified by OSS Note 723909 which is downloaded from a special website of SUN.com.
We have tried uninstalling the other versions of the JDK build and tried other builds.
Solution:
By searching message boards for the specific error CreateDbSchema, one of the threads mentioned that passwords for MaxDb can't have special characters. Searching OSS yielded a Note 674430 which confirmed that installing on MaxDb has to use alpha-numeric. We were using an @. We dropped the database and deleted the user so it would be a clean install, and ran again using a different password. Some other cleanup was done too, but we suspect it was the password.

Data source executive could not be found

Hello there, I have recentley did my first dynamic website
using coldfusion MX 7. After I uploaded all the files in the server
of godaddy.com on a window platform which supports cfm, I had
realised that all the DSN routes were still
C:cfusion7\wwwroot\database\executive.Users... so I changed all the
tags to D:\Hosting\executivemalta\database\executive.Users....
Unfortunatley I keep on receiving the error Data source executive
could not be found! I have also created an access database from the
godaddy control panel and located the database to a folder called
accesscf and changed the DSN route as instructed by godaddy.
Unfortunatley that didn't even work. Could somebody out there be
generous enough to help me solve this problem? The following is the
