SAPINST: "Database EPD has wrong compability level"

Hi
We are doing a "homogeneous system copy" of a java system:
WebAS Java 6.40 SP16 (with EP 6.0 SP16)
Basically we are changing from a 32-bit platform to a 64-bit platform and ind the process also shifting from MSSQL 2000 to 2005 and renaming the SID.
Source platform:
- MSSQL 2000
- Windows 2003 on x86
Target platform:
- MSSQL 2005
- Windows 2003 on x64 (AMD)
We are using SAPINST NW04 (patch collection version) and choosing to use a database-specific method for the database copy (backup/restore).
On the target system the RDBMS MSSQL2005 (9.00.2047.00) has been installed and the source database (EPP) has been restores (and renamed as EPD).
The error:
When running the SAPINST on the target-platform in one of the last phases when prompted for the "Database Information" (choosing "EPD"), then we get the error "Database EPD has wrong compability level"
Any idea what is wrong ?
Best regards
Tom Bo

Hello,
U might have to consider the impact of migrating the MSSQL 2000 to MSSQL 2005 also the impact of using the 32-bit to 64-bit conversion..
U first have to consider the pre-migration checks for O.S. and DB...
dont forget to give reward point plz.

  • Reinstall CSA Server 'Database schema has the wrong version' ?

    Today we experainced some issues (Corrupt files) on our server that was hosting the CSA Server, I have had to reinstall the server and reinstall the CSA Server
    The problem is that I have restored the .bak files from the backup and all went well, Until I restarted the server and the MC service failed to start.. I looked in the csa logs and got the following error
    Management Center for Cisco Security Agent V5.1.0.91 starting...
    Database schema has the wrong version - exiting
    Service CSAMC51 exited (0).
    How can I resolve this issue

    What was the previous version of the CSA-MC.
    I would recommend installing CSA-MC 5.2. I don't think you can go back, but you can go forward.
    Let me know if that helps

  • OS has wrong time zone, so db has wrong time zone after RAC db installed

    hi Guru, after the RAC db installed, and it is a alive production DB, then I realized that the os has wrong time zone which is MDT (mountain time), I want it as CDT, so I am planning to ask sys admin to change os to CDT, then I just need to bounce the db once os time zone changed? Is that right? that won't corrupted the db after os time zone change right? And this is 2 nodes RAC db, anything I need to be aware before os level timezone change?

    Hello;
    Fix the time on the OS and restart the database and you should be done. Simple as that. So to answer your question Right.

  • The Database Structure Has Been Modified

    Good Day!
    Just want to ask what is the probable reason why upon using SAP, there is a system message " The database structure has been modified. In order to resume the process, all open windows will be closed. Continue?"  Even upon user log in , this system message appear affecting other user's data entry. Upon adding of the document (of other users when this system message appear), all the UDFs are missing, causing their data entry to be inaccurate since you cannot update row level once the document has been added.
    Hope to hear from you soon.
    Thanks
    Sandra

    Hello ...
    This error message appears every time that has altered the structure of the database, either by creating a new field of user or user table, so it is inevitable that appear the same.
    Now, it is necessary as a measure, to control who has access to make these changes, and that they are made without users.
    I hope it will help

  • Database table of Match approval level data in shipment more tab

    hi friends
    i need to know the database database table of Match approval level data in shipment > more tab of PO.
    pls help. its urgent.

    Hi friends
    Thank you all for reply. 2-Way, 3-Way or 4-Way values are coming against particular item according to the following combination of values in inspection_required_flag and receipt_required_flag column of PO_line_locations_all.
    4-WAY :Inspection_required : Y , Receipt_required : Y
    3-WAY :Inspection_required : N , Receipt_required : Y
    2-WAY :Inspection_required : N , Receipt_required : N
    it refers there is no fixed column in table based on which 2-Way, 3-Way or 4-Way values are coming for MATCH APPROVAL LEVEL field in that form. am i right? pls response.
    One more thing, inspection_required_flag and receipt_required_flag columns are also available in mtl_system_items_b. My question is when a PO is created with any item which value combination is prioritized. i mean when i open Shipment form and go to More Tab, a value for MATCH APPROVAL LEVEL field is automatically set for that item. Where does that value come from? does it come from PO_line_locations_all or mtl_system_items_b ?
    if my concept is not wrong it comes from mtl_system_items_b. after saving that PO the value is then stored in PO_line_locations_all.
    if my concept is wrong in any way pls let me know. Thanks

  • Message: "The database structure has been modified" every time I log to SAP

    Hello,
    "The database structure has been modified. In order to resume this process, all open windows will be closed". Every time I log to one of my companies in SAP Business One this message appears.
    I haven't installed any new addons and made no changes in database structure (and any other user hasn't done any changes), but this message appears always when I log to company for the first time (when I try to log on another user or log to another company there is no message). Can anyone help me with this problem?

  • The database structure has been modified - how to check if it happend?

    Hello,
    I have a question. How to check if the database structure has been modified? I know that there is shown a messagebox after creating table and adding some fields, but sometimes this message appear after some seconds. The problem is that I want to create table and UDO for this table, and until database structure is not modified I got an error message. If I wait and DB strucuture modifies then UDO is creating correctly.
    My question is - does anyone know how to check if database structure has been modified?
    Regards,
    Hmg

    Hi Szymon,
    I guess you are stuck up in a kinda scenario, where in, you will be populating a form with values, before the structure modifies, if this is going to be your problem, I can help you out with a work around.
    In the beginning of the process, before the creation of the UDO or tables, set a boolean value to false, and once all UDO's and Tables are created, only then, should you make it true and only after the boolean becomes true, you should proceed with populating the values from the screen.
    I really ament sure what your problem is, but one of my guys faced this problem, I then, thought even you might have a similar problem.

    OK I bit the bullet and contacted support on this one.
    There is a known issue with MDS 2012 and business rules with a combination of "must be unique" attributes. If you do not list the attributes in the same order that they were created you will get the generic error I cited. At first they told me it must be
    in the same order the attributes are in and that worked on one entity but not the other. The difference was that in the second entity I previously rearranged the attributes in question. Once I changed the order in the business rule to reflect the *original*
    order it worked like a champ.
    Hopefully this helps save someone some time and money.

  • HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01 has wrong value!

    HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01 has wrong value!
    Hello again,
    I have a search page in my app (here the user defines the search criteria) P1.
    The page branches to P130, where the result is shown. This second page contains a region of type 'SQL Query (PL/SQL Function Body Returning SQL Query)'. The code for this dynamic query is 231 lines of code, so I want to spare you scrolling through it here . What it basically does is generating SQL QRY's such as the following:
    select     distinct(sq.SAMPLE_ID) XXX,
    'ID: '||sq.SAMPLE_ID||'
    ' ||'Type: '||sq.SAMPLE_TYPE||'
    ' ||'Collection Date: '||sq.COLLECTION_DATE SAMPLE_INFO,
    'Aliquots (T/A): '||to_char(sq.ALIQUOTS_TOTAL)|| '/' ||to_char(sq.ALIQUOTS_AVAILABLE)||'
    ' ||'Volume (T/A): '||to_char(sq.VOLUME_TOTAL,'990D00')|| '/' ||to_char(sq.VOLUME_AVAILABLE,'990D00') AVAILABILITY,
    'Age: '||sq.PATIENT_AGE||'
    ' ||'Gender: '||sq.PATIENT_SEX||'
    ' ||'Bloodtype: '||sq.BLOOD_TYPE||'
    ' PATIENT_INFO,
    DML_SERVICE.get_Diagnoses(sq.SAMPLE_ID) DIAGNOSES,
    DML_SERVICE.get_Medications(sq.SAMPLE_ID) MEDICATIONS,
    DML_SERVICE.get_Interferences(sq.SAMPLE_ID) INTERFERENCES,
    DML_SERVICE.get_LabData(sq.SAMPLE_ID) LABDATA,
    decode(to_char(sq.ALIQUOTS_AVAILABLE), '0', null, htmldb_item.text(1, '1', 1, 2)) ORDER_QTY,
    decode(to_char(sq.ALIQUOTS_AVAILABLE), '0', null, htmldb_item.checkbox(2,sq.SAMPLE_ID)) ORDER_ME
    from SEARCH_V01 sq
    where sq.DIAGNOSIS = 'D-Dimer'
    order by 1 desc
    The DML_SERVICE functions just return a string(Varchar2). At the right side of the report I have two columns, one with a textfield (ORDER_QTY, default: 1) and one with a checkbox (ORDER_ME) for each line.
    For each line where the checkbox is checked, a process (On Submit - after Comp and Val) places the order for the requested quantity (this is done by inserting an Order ID into the ALIQUOTS table -> see bold update statement below).
    The process follows:
    declare
    alq_qty number;
    alq_id number;
    cnt number;
    begin
    cnt := 0;
    for i in 1..HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F02.count
    loop
    select count(*) -- set alq_qty to number of available alq's
    into alq_qty
    from ALIQUOTS a
    where a.SAMPLE_ID = HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F02(i)
    and a.ORDER_ID = 0;
    insert into D_DEBUG (ID, DD) values (1, 'wanted: ' || HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01(i) || ' available: ' || alq_qty); -- REMOVE!!!
    if alq_qty > to_number(HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)) then -- if there are enough alq's
    alq_qty := to_number(HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)); -- set alq_qty to number of ordered alq's
    end if;
    for n in 1..alq_qty
    loop
    select min(ID)
    into alq_id
    from ALIQUOTS
    where sample_id = HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F02(i)
    and order_id = 0;
    insert into D_DEBUG (ID, DD) values (1, 'alq_id: '||alq_id); -- REMOVE!!!
    update ALIQUOTS
    set order_id = :P130_SELECT_ORDER
    where id = alq_id;
    cnt := cnt + 1;
    end loop;
    dml_service.upd_sample_record(HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F02(i)); -- refresh data in SAMPLE table
    end loop;
    :P130_MSG := 'Assigned '||cnt||' aliquots to order: '||:P130_SELECT_ORDER;
    end;
    Now my problem is that this process does what it should, sometimes. When I enter 6 in one row and check the checkbox and enter 4 in another row and check that checkbox and then press SUBMIT, 10 aliquots are assigned to my order.
    Sometimes.... the other times the process just orders 2 aliquots, one of each line and disregards the number entered in the textfield.
    Or so it may seem: I added some lines to write debug info into D_DEBUG (see above.) From those entries you can assume that the content of HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F01(i) is in fact '1' when the process does its work. So I think the problem lies somewhere in the creation of htmldb_item.text(), (I went through the API of that htmldb_item again and again...)
    Also: I can reproduce / recreate this error. It's totally weird: for some rows it (always) works and for some it (always) doesn't !!!
    So, any help, any suggestion is really appreciated (I'm currently working on bringing the crucial part of this to marvel.oracle.com)

  • More than one database driver has been used

    Hi everyone, I just want to link 2 tables, one in Oracle and the second is in Access, is this possible? Please help, tahnks a lot.
    I got this message:
    "More than one database driver has been used in this report. If you want to change the database drivers use Database/Set Location.
    Please make sure that no SQL Expression is added and no server-side group-by is performed"
    This is the query generated:
    SELECT "A"."Field_in_A"
    FROM   "OracleDB"."A" "A"
    SELECT `B`.`Field_in_B`
    FROM   `AccessDB` `B`

    The above suggestions are good. You might also consider using a link table from MS Access to have the linking done right inside MS Access.
    If you can store your access mdb file on the server where your Oracle database resides this will greatly reduce your network traffic.  If the MS Access database must reside on a different machine it can still work but the gains won't be as great.  Still, this is an efficient way to do this if you can.
    To create a link table in MS Access choose, New, then 'Link Table'. In the Link dialog that appears you can choose ODBC.  I recommend using the SQORA driver from Oracle that is installed with SQL Plus.
    If you have to link in Crystal Reports instead you still can. However, all data from the Oracle table and Access table will be pulled to the client that hosts Crystal Reports and sorting will be done on the Crystal client.
    You definitely have some good options though.

  • Adding redolog group for a database which has standby

    hi friends,
    Database: 10.2.0.3
    OS: windows 2003 server sp2
    i had a database (which has a standby) with the following redolog information
    SQL> select group#,member from v$logfile;
    GROUP# MEMBER
    3 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\REDO03.LOG
    2 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\REDO02.LOG
    1 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\REDO01.LOG
    4 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\SBREDO01.LOG
    5 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\SBREDO02.LOG
    6 I:\D001\ORACLE\ORADATA\INFA05UT\SBREDO03.LOG
    by name SBREDO01.LOG i hope this is standby redo log file.
    the following is the output from v$standby_log view.
    SQL> select group#,status from v$standby_log;
    GROUP# STATUS
    4 UNASSIGNED
    5 UNASSIGNED
    6 UNASSIGNED
    the following is in standby database
    SQL> select * from v$log;
    GROUP# THREAD# SEQUENCE# BYTES MEMBERS ARC STATUS
    FIRST_CHANGE# FIRST_TIME
    1 1 8319 52428800 1 YES CLEARING_CURRENT
    99953082 05-JAN-09
    3 1 8318 52428800 1 YES CLEARING
    99947833 05-JAN-09
    2 1 8317 52428800 1 YES CLEARING
    99941239 05-JAN-09
    will standby redo log file shown in primary? now i want to add a redolog group to primary. how can i do this? plz explain
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    AFAIK, You can add redo log file groups or members to the primary database without affecting the standby database and Enabling and disabling threads at the primary database has no effect on the standby database.
    Example :-
    ALTER DATABASE
    ADD LOGFILE GROUP 15 ('/oracle/dbs/log1d.rdo', '/oracle/dbs/log2d.rdo')
    SIZE 500K;
    The Standy performance only effects when you the Primary Failovers and standy DB had less Redo Logs, In that case the performance degrades. I suggest try to maintain Equal numbers of Online Redo Members on Both.
