Sapinst needs to log you off in order to reliably continue the installation

Hi,
When I was doing ECC6 installation on windows, just after choosing the installation mode (Typical, Custom) sapinst prompts for user logoff. Below is the some error message
"sapinst needs to log you off in order to reliably continue the installation" then after I choose ok automatically user got logged off and I logged in again and the installation continued as usually.
But my qustion is why it is happened. Please let me know the reason for this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes...Sunil is correct.
SAPinst uncars many files into the installation directory and for then to take effect we need to log off and on.

I have a 27" iMac mid 2011 2.7 GHz intel core i5 with OS 10.10.1.  For about the last month when I shut down I get a window that says "Continue the installation Choose abort if you wish to cancel the installation  ABORT   YES".   If I don't press anything or if I choose ABORT or Yes the message goes away and the computer shuts down.  But the next time I use the computer and then shut down the message is back.  I have looked to see if there are any downloads pending or if there are any updates trying to download.  I am very puzzled.

  • "Continue the installation?" "Choose 'Abort' if you wish to cancel the installation."

Whenever I shut down, I am getting a window that says:
    "Continue the installation?"
"Choose 'Abort' if you wish to cancel the installation."
I have no clue where it is coming from or how to stop this from appearing.

You may have partially installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates
    if it's not already checked.

  • I need help with reformatting my mac, but I dont have the installation CD's

So I have an older mac, and I am looking to sell it because I want to upgrade to a pro. I would like to reformat the hard drive so all my accounts/files/programs/settings are removed, but I do not have the installation CD's that came with the computer. Can anyone advise if there is any other way to do this or get around using the CD's?
    Thanks!

Hi dpgomes, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Legally you need to include the Install Disc with the Computer if it has that OS Installed.
You could use another Mac with Firewire to Format & Zero the Disk, but who'd buy a Mac with no OS?
You could removes all your settings passwords, & such by doing this...
Make a new Admin User in Accounts, log out of this account, login to the new Admin account and delete the old account, then use Disk Utility to "Erase Free Space" on the Hard Drive.

  • Where's the "Log Out" button gone? I need to log out NOW in order to access my other in-box - URGENTLY!

When you make changes, it would be helpful to provide an option NOT to accept them, or at very least, a flag that tells you how to perform the operation that was previously easy.
This worked fine with the "message priority" arrows, but the loss of this button has more profound implications for me at this time as I am expecting very important information on an email address that I can no longer access.

There is nothing wrong with that.
It is actually working as expected. That means that, as long as you have iTunes Match on, you can download any music from your device so you don't have the need to sync with your computer.
However, if you want to force some music to be stored in your device, turn off iTunes Match in your device:
Settings > Music > turn off iTunes Match
    Cheers!

  • Help needed to log into an Open Directory account which has the same username as the local account

    Hello,
I have successfully setup a Mac OS X Lion Server and it is an Open Directory Master. On the server Ihave created an account with the name 'Connor'. I have numerous Macs (allrunning OS X 10.7 Lion) connected to this server but on one of the Macs thereis a local account with the name 'Connor' too (the local and networked accountshave different passwords). I want to log into the Open Directory account onthat mac. So, I have done an authenticated bind to the server, but when I go tolog in the password box shakes. I think the computer thinks I am trying to loginto the local account and not the Open Directory account. On Windows, I canlog into either the local accounts or the networked accounts by typing\LOCAL-COMPUTER-NAME\Connor. So, I was wondering if there was a similar commandto do this on Mac.
I don't think I haveworded this very well, so if someone doesn't understand please ask me somequestion about the problem and I will try and explain it better.
    Any help would be greatlyappreciated,
    Connor

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I have used directory utility to do an authenticated bind to my server. I also have no problem logging into other accounts in the Open Directory. But, I just can't log into the account which has the same name both in the Open Directory and locally.
Was there something I missed in Directory Utility? Could you please help me if this is so.
    Thanks for replying so quickly

  • Need to uninstall CC apps in order to reinstall in the chosen language.

I have Creative Cloud Installed on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bits, with several programs like PS, FL and AE, the problem is: I need to uninstall some of them to be able to re-install using the English Language (apparently I can't do this just by switching an option on the Settings Panel for each one of them, wonder why...) Anyway, I also don't see any option on Windows Control Panel to uninstall any of the software, I only see the Creative Cloud Icon to uninstall. Also, i see people talking about Application Manager to do stuff, but I can't find it either. Kinda lost here. Any advices?

    Hi guys,
here is the conclusion of the solution.
Apparently if you Install the CC Apps in a drive that is not the default, two things happens:
    1) Your apps do not show in the Programs and Features panel
    2) Your installed Apps do not show on the "Your Apps" of the Creative Cloud Widget, it thinks they are not installed at all., despite offering updates for them.
    Now, regarding the language:
Yes, its possible to change the language for your apps, but before that you have to Install the Creative Cloud for Desktop, select the desired language, RESTART YOUR SYSTEM and only then you can install your apps in the chosen language. If you try to change the language after you have installed any program, only the new ones will  be in the chosen language.
Now, I'm less frustrated and not angry anymore, but I think It would be a good Idea for Adobe to check this info that i gave at least regarding the issue about the install location, and tell members how to proceed, it would avoid a lot of frustrations.
    Cheers,
    Ronaldo

  • HT201266 It's saying I need to log into iTunes to be able to use the App Store, but it won't let me log into iTunes because it says I need to log into iTunes which makes no sense whatsoever to me any help? Thanks

if if anyone can help me out i would be so thankful

Go to the main iTunes store screen.
Go to the very bottom right of thes creen and click flag/marble icon.
    Select the US store.
Instead of selecting *Create account*, select Redeem.
Input the card number then select Create new account (unless you already have an iTunes account then use that).
If these iTunes gift cards are from the US, you need to create a US iTunes account with a US address.

  • I no longer have my iphone and need to turn imessage off

i no longer own an iphone and need to turn imessage off but i no longer have the phone at all so i cant turn it off myself

If youv'e ever called them they should have it on file. If you haven't call your carrier first and tell them that you need imessage turned off but don't have the imei number for the old iphone and ask if they still have it. Once you get it you can call apple and give them that number or have your carrier just route you straight to them.
