Sapinst: Portal Deployment Monitor has reached the timeout of 1800

Hello All,
I am installing SAP EP 6.0 and in the Step 11 of 13 its continuosly giving me the following message.
"Portal Deployment(0 of 298 files done. 0 with errors .Time elapsed: xxxx seconds).Wait..."
and after 1800 secs its gets time out.
It is not giving me any erros .
Please help.

With you suggestion , i have upgraded the patch level of WE AS JAVA to 20 .
But still when starting the portal its waiting in stage 2 (Deploy JDBC libaries) , with no errors.
I have checked the SDM logs

Current Time code field and "Capture Now has reached the end of tape......"

Hi I just got my new iMac and I have lots of space. When I open up the Final Cut Pro and press the capture now it gives me the notice that it had reached the end of tape, but I haven't reached the end. I have vhs in the VCR machine and it is connected through the digital device. Not only that but my current timecode field is always running and I can't stop it. Also I used the uncontrollable device and when the tape has reached the end I tried to escape but it seizes up and I lost my capture. what shall I do?

Yeah, I was just thinking about that. I'm doing this on an iMac.
What's going on with Capture Now? I know staying digital would be best. But I'm kinda doing this project to give myself some hands-on time with FCP to get familiar with it. I'd like to capture this stuff through the Log And Capture GUI if I can. Sooner or later, I'll need to do it with something else (possibly an old VHS tape) where I won't have the option of staying digital.

For the last 2 months I have had hours of FF not responding or crash - can't report it - this has reached the very annoying stage - a change is eminent

at first I was not to concerned because I was out of town using a Dell pc with windows (not a good experience) - it would stop and say"not responding" - sometimes up to 30 minutes before it would go again. It happened more and more - then it started with the CRASH message and it could not report the crash. then I came home for a couple days and it happened a couple times on my desktop - then I was out of town again - back to the dell - not responding and crashing made pc use impossible and I switched to phone and uspostal mail for three weeks. Now I am back home and was faced with the same problem - just not as severe - I took my pc in to the lab and had complete tuneup - cooling system taken apart cleaned and lubed - had new mother board installed - and ubuntu12.10 upgraded and installed - two time today "not repsonding" and then a FF CRASH and everything was lost.
For 2 years I have loved and promoted Firefox and finally got rid of WindowsXP a year ago and my pc became a real pleasure to use - Now I can not afford the time and money lost with this problem you are having and will have to change if it is not resolved.
Also - is the a alternative to Adobe Flash - its problems have also reached an intolerable state.

can you stop the download completely? try to stop the download, delete the downloaded file and then re-downloading it. itunes should save your purchase so you won't have to pay every time you download.

My baby saliva has reached the trackpad

My baby decided on salivating just on top of the trackpad on my Macbook and now my right and left 'buttons' don't work (or they work every 8th time I try pressing them).
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Short of disassembling the trackpad, there's not much you can do. You can go into your trackpad preferences and enable tap to click and then enable two finger tap for secondary click. This will let you tap the trackpad for a regular "left" click and tap with two fingers for a "right" click.
You may want to leave your machine upside down for a day or two to dry out just to make sure none of it makes its way down into other components in your machine causing more serious problems.

Issue when trying to deploy Monitoring Server Reports on Deployment Wizard

Hi all.
I have to install the Monitoring Server Role on a server that already has the Lync Server 2010 up and running.
I'm new to Lync Server so my experience with the product is limited, so I need some help with an issue.
I followed the Deployment Guide and for now I managed to do the following:
- Installed an SQL Server 2008 Standard with SP1 with SSRS also;
- Updated the Topology to include a Monitoring Server, and also published the new topology;
- Installed the new components of the monitoring server.
I can also refer that the SQL Server Instances and Lync Server Front-End are in the same server h where I'm installing the monitoring server, and there is only one Front End Pool.
As far as I can tell everything was successfully done, and I couldn't find any errors until now.
And finally the issue appeared when I wanted to deploy the Monitoring Server Reports to the Reporting Services Server.
In the deployment Wizard of the Lync Server 2010 the link for that option is disabled, no further information is given.
I tried to find on the ISO and .exe or .msi files that could deploy the reports, but could not find any.
I believe it isn't a problem of permissions of the user because i followed the documentation.
I hope someone can help me find the problem, and if possible a solution for it.

From your description above, it is a Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Edition and you deploy Monitoring Server in the same Server with FE Server.
If it is the case, you may meet unknown issues as you must deploy Monitoring Server on a separate Server. You can only collocate Monitoring Server with Archiving Server.
Please try to delete the Monitoring Server configuration in Lync Topology and then republish topology, and rerun Step 2. After these, please deploy Monitoring Server with a Separate Server and test if the issue happen again.

How to deal the timeout session in BSP application

inside a BSP application, I want to inform the user that he is near to reach the timeout of its session.
So I wonder how to know the lifetime of the session and how to calculate the time from its connection.
Anyone of you can help me on his topic?

How to check who has deployed a PAR into the portal

is there any log from which can be checked who has deployed a PAR into the portal (probably using NWDS directly)?!

Hello Praveen,
You can find the user info from the trace files which are located in usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS<SysNo.>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/ subfolders.
Try to extract the info from the Tracefiles.
Again if you have the Logviewer configured then you might be able to find the same info there too.
