Sapjco support for Solaris 10 x86 and more...

Hi,
Does SAP offer a SAPJCO version that supports:
1-Solaris 10 using a x86 64-bit CPU?
2-Solaris 10 using a SPARC 64-bit CPU?
3-Linux 64-bit?
4-MsWindows 2003 64-bit?
PS: I am asking does questions, because I don't seem to have access to the SAPJCO download page.
Best regards.

Hi

  • JavaFX for Solaris x86 and/or OpenSolaris

    Will there be a release for Solaris x86 and/or OpenSolaris. WHats up DoC!

    According to Metalink Doc ID 742060.1, modified 28-Sep-2009, it appears that 4th Quarter Calendar Year 2009 will see a Solaris x86-64 release of 11.2.0.1
    That's good news!

  • Support for Solaris 8 and 9

    I need a method of automatically installing patches from a local patch server ... for security reasons, we have no internet connectivity (absolutely no physical connection).
    Sun Patch Manager 2 seemed the perfect solution ... but have just found it is to be eol'd.
    Is SUC now working for 8 and 9? And if so what is the equivalent of the "Local Patch Server" functionality available on SPM 2.0?
    Many thanks
    Andy

    Sun Update Connection will be being backported to Sol 8 and 9 to replace SPM but is not yet available.
    There is also Update Connection Enterprise Edition (UCE) which will be released shortly which covers Solaris 8-10. This will be a subscription based service and is a rebranding of Aduva's Onstage product following their recent acquisition. For more information on this visit aduva.com or request contact from the following link -

  • SP3 for Solaris x86?

    Hi:
    I noticed that SP3 for Solaris X86 is not present. Is BEA dropping support for Solaris x86?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    You can try the newly released Solaris 10 10/09 VDI image from:
    https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_SMI-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=virtualbox-s10U8-x86-G-F@CDS-CDS_SMI
    This is a complete ready-to-run image that won't require installing. It might help debug issues such as keyboard and mouse, separating it from install issues.

  • OpenSSH 4.4p1 packages with PAM support for Solaris 9, 10

    As mentioned in a previous post* , I've compiled OpenSSH packages with PAM support for Solaris 9 and 10. They've since been updated to version 4.4p1, and are compiled against a static zlib (1.2.3) and OpenSSL (0.9.8c). You can find them here:

    * http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=103378&tstart=105

    Yes, zlib 1.2.3 is a requirement. In facts, zlib mentions a 2005 vulnerability fix but I found no matching patch in sunsolve. See
    http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/JGEI-6E7RC3
    I have been wandering whether to replace the official zlib. Linking statically is probably a better idea. Thanks

  • ETA for Solaris x86-64 11g(R2)?

    Does anyone have a contact that has any knowledge of what platforms are truly being supported for the 11gR2 release?

  • OEM Grid Control Release (not just agent) for Solaris x86?

    I see management agents that can be downloaded off of OTN, but is there an official release of Grid Control for Solaris on x86?
    "Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control *Release 5* (10.2.0.5) for Solaris Operating System *(SPARC)*"
    "Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control *Management Agent Release 1* (10.1.0.3) for Solaris *x86*"

    Please throw me some more meat on that bone. I'm still waiting for my Metalink access. (i.e., can you cut and paste the note text onto this forum message.)Sharing(Cut&Paste) Metalink Notes is not legal.
    Oracle has no plans for 10.2.0.4 and for 10.2.0.5 it's expected by Q3 on x86(32&64)

  • Is snmp supported in solaris 7 and 8.

    The entagents documents says
    This product is supported on the following platforms:
    Sparc (Solaris 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6)
    x86 (Solaris 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6)
    http://www.sun.com/software/entagents/docs/UGhtml/install_solaris.doc.html#1360
    so has anyone see the subagents working on solaris 7 and 8.
    if so pls let me know ...great if i can have the files and the steps.
    hoping snmpwalk also works.
    Thanx in Advance.

    Yes it is supported on Solaris 7 and Solaris 8. Our observation is that on Soalris 8 it is somewhat stable compared to solaris Solaris 7 and Soalris 2.6. There is a problem reported on Soalris 2.6 where subagent does not come up. Tthe latest user and developer doc will give you more info on agent development.

    Edited by: Diganth.A on Feb 4, 2009 11:16 AMThis all depends on the operating system your are using and the type of 64 bit hardware architecture type.
    Can you please provide more specific details about the architecture and operating systems you are trying to install your JRE on?
    Typically you will want to download a pre-configured JRE for your OS platform and hardware architecture.

  • How about gccfss for Solaris x86/x64 platforms?

    Subject says it all... it could make compiling a lot of code out there a whole lot easier!
    Bob

    I also desire gccfss for Solaris x86/x64 platforms .
    In the interim I have downloaded the source and am attempting to create such a beast.
    It is slow progress to fix the unexpected script breakage, but it seems to be going OK:
    Problems:
    1.): Issues like "-mtune=v9" and an "embeded spec" in gcc and cpp (from files
    gccfss_src/build/gcc/gccspec.o and gccfss_src/build/gcc/cppspec.o).
    2.): Use of OPTTABLE_H = $(srcdir)/config/target-option-table.h with SPARC specific
    options throughout
    EG:
    #ifdef CROSS_COMPILE
    #define NATIVE \
    { "-native", "-xtarget=generic" }, \
    { "-xarch=native64", "-Zarch=v9 -Zarchm64=v9 -Zm=64" },\
    { "-xarch=native", "-Zarch=v8plus -Zarchm32=v8plus -Zarchm64=v9 -Zm=32" },\
    { "-xtarget=native64", "-Zarch=generic -Zarchm32=generic -Zarchm64=v9 -xchip=generic -xcache=generic -Zm=64"}, \
    { "-xtarget=native", "-Zarch=generic -Zarchm32=generic -Zarchm64=v9 -xchip=generic -xcache=generic -Zm=32"}
    #else
    #define NATIVE \
    { "-native", "-xtarget=native" }, \
    { "-xarch=native64", "-xarch=native64 -Zm=64"}, \
    { "-xarch=native", "-xarch=native -Zm=32"}, \
    { "-xtarget=native64", "-xtarget=native64 -Zm=64"}, \
    { "-xtarget=native", "-xtarget=native -Zm=32"}
    #endif
    Thus, one would need to change:
    { "-xarch=native64", "-Zarch=v9 -Zarchm64=v9 -Zm=64" },\
    to something like:
    { "-xarch=native64", "-xarch=386 -m64" },\
    3.): Copy the "sparc_output_scratch_registers()" function from file
    "gccfss_src/src/gcc/config/sparc/sparc.c" to "gccfss_src/src/gcc/tree-ir.c".
    4.): Use the undocumented command line option "-frtl-backend" when this error
    occurs during the build (a simple Makefile change):
    `-mcpu=' is deprecated. Use `-mtune=' or '-march=' instead.
    xgcc: SUNW0scgfss 4.2.0 has not been installed. Either install it or use -frtl-backend.
    5.): More ...
    All these issues occur because the scripts expect "--build=sparc-pc-solaris2.11" but
    I configured using "--build=i386-pc-solaris2.11" . It seems like it is going to work
    but I am yet to finish stage1 of the build (I do have a working "xgcc").

  • Support for RAW Video and Image Sequences

    Being a stills photographer who moved into video some years back, I'm very interested in the direction Lightroom is going with regards to video support. I haven't tried it yet but I wondered if LR4 supports Red R3D files? And would it perhaps support other future RAW video formats from the likes of Canon and Sony? It would seem like the perfect application, perhaps intergrating with Premiere in a similar way to RedCine with FCP. Be great to be able to log footage, orginize it into bins and do basic colour correction in LR, edit the project in Premiere and re-touch in After Effects.
    Another task LR would seem ideally suited to is combining image sequences into timelapse video. Shooting timelapse as an image sequence on a DSLR is pretty much standard practice these days; and I've used LR to colour correct, crop and scale my sequences (before fitting them together in Quicktime) for years now. It would be fantastic to be able to preview the clip and export the video (as DPX, ProRes or DNxHD) from within Lightroom.
    These are obviously fairly long term wishes. In the short term though, the video features are pretty much useless to me without support for exporting ProRes and DNxHD files. With this LR becomes a powerful asset manager that could be used to collect together footage from multiple sources/codecs and transcode it all for editing. As mentioned in a previous thred, XML support would make it even more useful in this context. There is definitly a gap in the market for an application than can handle this kind of task well.
    With other manufactures floundering or neglecting their professional user base, Adobe would seem poised to take the video post crown. I wonder if Lightroom could be part of the takeover?

    As I understand it Andy, its intention is to remain a photographers program, not a videographers program.  The basic video features are available for lightweight management of videos coming from digital cameras, but it's not going too much further than that at this point in time.  Of course that may change in the future, but we'll all have to wait and see on that one.

  • Help with evaluation for Solaris x86

    Hello,
    I would like to evaluate Oracle Identity Manager and Access Manager products at the latest version possible -- the host system(s) are Solaris x86 (SunOS .5.10) Unfortunately, I am having a bit of trouble compiling the list of packages/versions to achieve this for this platform. For instance, on the downloads page it appears that OIM is not available for Solaris x86, not even in older versions(?)
    Thank you in advance,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
    I'm pretty sure that x86 Solaris is not yet certified to run the Identity Management suite. I've been involved in an evaluation process and we ran it all on RedHat Enterprise Server Release 4 Update 5, without too many problems.
    cheers,
