SAPMEINT Global configuration / Workflow COnfiguration

Hi,
Under SAPMEINT Global congiguration and Workflow configuration I am not sure of below parameters. maybe someone can enlighten me?
1.SAPMEINT_ProcessedDocDirectory - a valid existing directory where the processed inbound documents are place -example C:/VERPSFI_OUTPUT/processed
Question: Which server does it means? Is this folder should exist in MII odr ME box?
2. Under configuring SAPMEINT workflow, there are parameters like BOMMAT and other request for "Request /Response XM Save Directory"
Question: Which server does it means? MII oder ME box?
3. Under Configuring Supported SAP ME Plants
Question: Plant? Is this plant MII site? or ERP plant?
I am using installation guide from SAP ME 5.2 (page 42-44)
thanks
sengkiang

Hello, Seng Kiang,
1. There is no strong requirement where this directory should exist. You just need to specify the path to it correctly (even using network names).
2. BOMMAT - is a message type for BOM. I believe you can find more useful information for you here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mii121/helpdata/en/43/e80b59ad40719ae10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
3. Plant is a Site which is created in Site Maintenance (ME). ERP also should be configured to send data to the corresponding Palnt (Site).

Alex.

  • SAPMEINT 5.2.5.6: Error when updating workflow configuration

    Hello!
I have the following versions of the MII component:
SAPMEINT: 5.2.5.6 (from SAP ME package 5.2.5.6)
    MII: 12.1.8 Patch 3 (or 30)
I try to update the workflow configuration for yieldConfirmationRequest
After clicking on Modify than immediatly on Save on the details section, some errors are displayed.
Operation Check Value in List failed; Search Helper
    Value not found
I could trace this back to the Transaction Helper  icon.
If it worked, it would isplay all the available MII transactions.
But it refuses to display anything.
I can see in the SAP NW log file there is a problem in some authentication:
    Unable to load user information
    [EXCEPTION]
    java.lang.Exception: No credentials provided
Invalid Response code (401). Server <http://localhost:50000/XMII/SOAPRunner/Visiprise/ERPShopFloorIntegration/frame/common/MIITransactionList> returned message <Unauthorized>.

    How to overcome this?
Is there some configuration necessary so that the username is provided with the call to
    http://localhost:50000/XMII/SOAPRunner/... ?
    Or is this a bug?
I think a XAcute service call is made (= SoapRunner).
    What about authentication?
I found some hint, that this should NOT be necessary when it comes from localhost, as this happens here.

  • Workflow configuration on CATS

    HI all,
I want workflow configuration related CATS
    Regards
    Amar

    Paulo,
It is not a good security practice, but in your workflow global preferences (workflow-->administror workflow-->Administration) you will see workflow administrator as SYSADMIN (probably), you can change that to either * or workflow administror responsibility (whoever holds this responsibility or role is considered as admin). Once you make that you should be able see everybody's workflow processes.
    Thanks

  • WS20000263 Workflow configuration in Treasury (Business partner approval)

    Hi Experts,
Currently we are doing an SAP Upgrade from 46C to ECC 6.0 (Enh. 4) and in Treasury we cannot solve a problem. There is a workflow (id: WS20000263) which is used in case when the BP is created or changed. This workflow was used in 46C, but in ECC 6.0 this is changed (in the new system the BP is managed in a different way as it was in 46C - Central Business Partner).
The problem is that the workflow is not working: I am not even able to do the proper configuration. There are some contradictory parts in SAP help which confuse me! (i.e.: in SPRO in "Active Release" config point, it says "activate the release object CBP SAP Business Partner". But the table - which contains this configuration point - is filltered for "ZBP" object, which means i can activate only the "ZBP" object and never the "CBP" object. The other point is that I cannot add "CBP" value in a "proper" way...)
I hope any of you faced with this workflow configuration and help me out or at least give me some advices.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best Regards,
    Attila

    Hello Atrtila ,
    Good Morning.
can you please tell me how your problem is solved.i am facing exactly the same issue in our system.exactly same thing.workflow release is getting triggered on changing any business partner role but not triggering at the time of creating a new line in business partner role .
    please help.

  • Non-global zone network configuration

    Hi,
Zones are a new thing for me so please excuse me if this is a basic query... I have recently jumpstarted a system using a jumpstart script that was developed by somebody else. It creates two non-global zones and configures their network interfaces.
I have unplumbed one of the virtual interfaces for a particular zone because the IP address it was using is actually being used by another system on the network. However, when I reboot the zone, the interface is re-assigned the same IP address again. The IP address in question is not in /etc/hosts on any of the zones, and in the non-global zones the "hostname.<interface>" files do not exist at all. Also, the IP address is not in sysidcfg in any of the zones.
So basically, interface e1000g0:2 is being assigned an IP address that was configured by the jumpstart script, so perhaps the jumpstart script has placed that IP address in some file that is read when the zone is booting. I have even checked rc scripts just in case but I cannot find the IP address anywhere. Would anybody please be able to tell me where the configuration information could be coming from in this scenario (nsswitch.conf specifies only files).
    Thank you in advance...

    its in the zone config.
    zonecfg -z <zone in question> info
it should list a net address and physical device. you can then use:
    zonecfg -z <zone in question>
from here you can remove the net statements, or change the address if you want to keep using the net card in your zone.

  • Workflow Configuration - no custom expressions as recipients for deadlines?

The system I work in is an ECC 6.0 system (support package SAPKB70012).
I would like to use SAP's standard workflow for purchase order approval, WS20000075, but a reminder must be sent after 7 days if the release has not taken place yet.
That should not be a problem I thought, because according to [SAP's documentation available at help.sap.com|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/92/bc26a6ec2b11d2b4b5006094b9ea0d/frameset.htm], one can activate latest start (and other deadlines) with the reaction Send mail (equivalent to "Display text" in the workflow step definition).
However, no matter what tricks I try, I am not able to configure my recipient. I want to send the message to PurchaseOrder.Responsible.NameWithLeadingUS, but the only expression the configuration will accept is WorkflowInitiator.
It is very frustrating to be this close to using SAP standard and ending up creating a workflow template copy.
Has anyone successfully used Workflow Configuration to enable a deadline with some other expression, not WorkflowInitiator, in a SAP standard workflow which does not have deadline monitoring?
Another thing that surprised me a bit was that I couldn't create a configuration without transport. Not that that's a problem, but I thought one major idea for the configuration was to give me the possibility to have one deadline limit during testing and another in production. The documentation also says the configuration is client-dependent. I suppose I will have to request that the systems are opened for modification for this too (that is, in addition to opening them for definition of release strategies).

I just verified that, in fact the only problem is with the Latest Start expression! But luckily I can paste the expression as you say (just discovered that and will close the question as solved).
I also discovered another bug while verifying what the problem is.
When starting the SWDD_CONFIG transaction directly as opposed to going there from the workflow builder, it opened for a different workflow template. So I used the "Other object" button to change to the workflow template I wanted to define a configuration for. The workflow displayed changes, but the title line of the window does not change. I could live with that referencing the other workflow, but that's just a visible symptom. The real problem is that the container definition is not re-read, so when trying to assign an agent it was actually the container elements from the first workflow template that were available. Nasty!
Edited by: Kjetil Kilhavn on Jan 24, 2008 5:17 PM:
I am creating low-priority customer messages for both of these, so at least SAP has a chance to correct the errors. There is no outside access to the system I work in, so they won't get a chance to verify - but that shouldn't stop them from checking if the problems exist in their own system with the latest support packages applied. Keep your fingers crossed

  • Facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0.

    Hi,
I am facing some problem while configuring Workflow Manager 1.0. in my farm.
    Scenario is,
I have installed and configured workflow manager in my farm, it was working well with no issue. But one of team member played with AD and deleted Farm administrator's entry from AD by mistake. So suddenly workflows get affected and stopped working.
Then I added administrator entry in AD, uninstalled the Workflow Manager and installed it again. But now while configuring workflow manager I am facing some issues that "Failure to adding user in BUILTIN\Administrative group. Please add it manually"
And after sometime it shows another error message that, "Starting service Service Bus Massage broken failed: Timed out has expired, the operation has not been completed"
If I go for services then "Service bus Message broker" service is not running properly (Its status is just showing "Starting")  and don't starts.
I have also added the user in BUILTIN\Administrator, IIS_IUSER, WSS_WPG group of the machine from computer manager - user and groups.
Also given permission to databases, and assign role of sysadmin and dbcreator to user
    I also tried following steps
        1) Stop all services associated to workflows
        2) Uninstalled workflow manager
        3) Deleted all databases associated with workflows
        4) Installed workflow manager and tried to configure.
    But showing same error.
If I use another SharePoint server farm to configure workflows, there I am not getting first error of adding user to BUILTIN\Administrator group. but second error remains same.
We having SQL server and Active directory at another machine and FARM at another machine, if I use local admin for configuration of the workflows (as local admin can start any services) but entry of local admin is not Active directory so can not assign SQL's
sysadmin, and dbcreator role to local admin.
I am attaching snapshot of error for better understanding.
Your help will be very precious to me.
    Thanks,

Check to see what the service accounts are being used for these Workflow Manager 1.0 services:
    Service Bus Message Broker
    Service Bus Gateway
    Workflow Manager Backend
All of these should be running and your workflow service account should be running all of these.  If any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated.  Next, check to see what service accounts have access to the
    Workflow Manager 1.0 databases:
    SbGatewayDatabase
    SbManagement
    SbMessageContainer
    WFInstanceManagement
    WFManagement
    WFResourceManagement
The Workflow Manager service account should be mapped as the DBO for all of these.  if any are still configured under the old service account, they'll need to be updated.
Given the complete loss of the original workflow service account, and the resultant impact on security configuration throughout the workflow farm, I would recommend performing a re-installation.  Do it thus:
    Launch Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard
Select the Leave Workflow Manager Farm
Stop all workflow services (see above list)
Repeat steps 1-3 for each instance of Workflow Manager 1.0 Server installed.
Delete all Workflow Manager databases (see above list).
    reboot.
    Start new installation.

    Hi Srini,
Thank you very much for your help. Have reviewed the mentioned notes, but unfortunately no information was contained concerning the encountered error.
As to try and address the situation, have completely re-installed Oracle DB 11.1.0.6 and still the workflow installation ends in error. I have to mention that it is a completely fresh installation, no modifications were made to the base configuration.
For windows the installation steps reference only running the wfinstall.bat script with the appropriate parameters for installing Oracle Workflow, but unfortunately it appears that the installation documentation is lacking some necessary steps as on a out of the box install the process does not complete successfully. The mentioned notes: 266612.1 and 351873.1 do not contain the information for troubleshooting the encoutnered issue.

  • Can we configure WORKFLOW to an WEBDYNPRO application

    hey guys,
i know to develop WEBDYNPRO apps...but wondering how Adobe Forms are sent to various members ...like in my application I have Adobe Form which needs to be sent to certain members.
    how is it possible?

    Hi
To send a PDF through mail you don't really need workflows configured.
This will solve your problem ( 8th page in the following PDF )
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c2567f2b-0b01-0010-b7b5-977cbf80665d
If you want a process to take place you need to use Workflows
