Saposcol not started on Application server

Hi,
saposocol started on Central instance and on 2 Application server.
Not started on 1 Application server.
Platform is : SAP R3 4.7 oracle 9.2.0.8 AIX 5.3.
Please help me

Possibilities :-
1> SAPService<sid> is the user which is associated with SAPOSCOL.
Check the password for this user which is used with the process saposcol.
May be you have changed the password for this user.
stop SAPOSCOL before changing user password
2>Check if your kernel is working properly and it has been patched properly.

I have tried to re-install OAS for the second time. But I still
got the same problem.
I plan to use the OAS, together with Oracle Internet Commerce
Server (ICS) to develop an e-commerce project. I am yet to
download and install the ICS. I don't have any Oracle databases
installed in my machine. I'm using MS SQL Server 7.0 instead.
Please advised me on how to configure the ORB so that I'll be
able to start the application server.

Need HELP !! Could not start SunOne Application Server 7

Installed SunOne application server on Windows-XP professional. Failes to start the appserver. I get the following messages in the log files. Could some one help me?

I was facing a similar problem. I had installed the Sun One 7.0 app server on Win NT with an already existing JDK instead of the bundled one.
I just updated the /etc/hosts file with my machine IP and DNS name and it worked !!!
The other alternative I had in mind was to reinstall the app server with the bundled jdk.

I use RZ10 to change instance profile, after that I shutdown SAP application but nothing can start.

Problems starting Sun Application Server 8.1

I can not start my applications server, the following msg appears, what can I do?:

If you have any firewall software running, turn it off and then try starting the server again. If that works, you'll have to allow the server to bind to the ports specified in <INSTALL>/domains/domain1/config/domain.xml in your firewall.

maybe for my shutdown and startup database abnormal for several
times,now the server oracleorahome81management server can't start
and while i logon to enterprise manager console,it show me a

the error also when i restart my machine.
and,the configuration assistant can not logon to database.

ABAP Trial version u2013 starting the application server

Hi,
I have a problem starting the application server via the management console. After choosing action ->start I have to enter user and password. Do I have to create a new user password combination, use the OS password or try bcuser and minisap? None of these three options worked out. I always get the message 'Start failed: 2 Invalid Credentials'. Or went there something wrong during the installation?

Hey Birgit,
In my case I installed ABAP Trial version (also known as MiniSap) on my local machine (Windows).
When I turn on the machine, my Windows(OS) requires a User/Password (It was configured this way but it is possible you configure to not require a User/Password, it uses a default).
When I instaled the ABAP Trial version, I logged on with a User/Password with administrator rights (it is necessary for installation).
When, in the "Management Console", I start the ABAP (the "NSP" node), it asks me the user and password and I use the OS User/Password that I used to install ABAP Trial (above).
If you are doing the same I don't know why the message "Start failed: 2 Invalid Credentials".

Okay, pls check that you are logged in as administrator and installed and now you are logged in as administrator and registering the iAS server. Did you get any installation failures while installing and are you able to register the server using iASAT ?

PSP Can I NOT use Oracle Application Server

Hi, Can someone tell me if I can Use Apache and Tomcat to Serve
my PSP Web Page. If there is no way-out I will have to use
Oracle 9iAS. I tried to find Documentation on mod_plsql, but

Could not start the portal server after installing Portal Source Code

Hi all, I try to install the portal source code and compile portal source code on the development computer. It does not work. I use Visual Studio 2002. Now I can not start the portal server. I got the error. I delete source code from webapp\portal folder. I still get the following error.

Hi all, I try to install the portal source code and compile portal source code on the development computer. It does not work. I use Visual Studio 2002. Now I can not start the portal server. I got the error. I delete source code from webapp\portal folder. I still get the following error.

Starting the application server

Hi,
I am new to Java Studio Enterprise 8. I try this tutorial

which is for Java Studio Enterprise 7.
I stop the firewall before anything :

Firewall is stopped.
I start Java Studio Enterprise 8 IDE under Linux ([installdir]/jstudio_ent81/ide/bin/jstudio.sh). I clicked on runtime, I have two bullets, Bundled Java Tomcat (5.5.9) and Sun Java System Application Server. Unfortunately, unlike the picture provided on the tutorial I don't have an application server automatically started.
I tried to start the tomcat server, this worked fine, I can use my browser to log on the tomcat server, http://localhost:8084. I switched it off.
I tried starting the application server similarly but I get the following message after 5 minutes :
"Error : The Sun Java System Application server could not start. More information about the cause is in the server log file. Possible reasons include:
- Unknown master password (etc...)
-Port conflicts (etc...)
-Incorrect server information (etc...)
-Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start (This can be seen in the server log file. etc... )"
I don't think I've got anything running on those ports.

I reset the master password, but it did not change anything.
I reinstalled everything, tried again, and still nothing on this side.
There isn't anything in the log [when I click on "View server log" I get a "no such file or directory" dialog box...].
When I click on start, I immediately get the following message on the shell :
"Internal HTTP server running on port 8082" and I can use my web browser to go on "http://localhost:8082/"...

Starting Oracle Application Server

I've installed OAS 408 on an NT box running service pack 5. When I go to the server manager page I select "All" and then select the start button. I get the following. Any ideas about the "BADFRAME"?

While installing OAS 4081, did you follow the work around given in 'Release Notes for Oracle Application Server 4.0.8.1' published in www.olab.com.
We also had similar problems. After following the procedure given in the release notes, we were able to start all processes.

Oc4jadmin not working for application server control in SOA suite 10.1.3.1.

Hi,
We have installed the SOA suite, and I can login to the various components using oc4jadmin/password (bpel, esb, rules author), but for some reason that oc4jadmin password is not working for Application Server Control, which is the only piece of this I really need to log in to.
Any thoughts on what is going wrong?

Maybe you change this password internally for another application (such BPEL, WSM,etc) and didn't make change for your main OC4J container.
You can try to change this password by...
1. Open the file [OASHome]\j2ee\home\config\system-jazn-data.xml
2. Find the section that looks like this

[name]oc4jadmin[name]
[display-name]OC4J Administrator[display-name]
[guid]88836370D11611DC9F30F9C1CD6F1A73[guid]
[description]OC4J Administrator[description]

3. Replace the value separated by the "Credentials" starting and ending tags with your new desired password, prefixed with an exclamation point
Example:

4. Save the file and restart OAS

Unable to start Oracle Application Server processes

I am having the same problem that a number of people have
mentioned concerning ORA-20214 Unable to start OAS processes ...
The problem seems related to Windows NT 4.0 SP4. One developer
mentioned a specific Oracle Bug #768386 that had something to do
with the yt40.dll. Does anyone know how I can get this patch?
Has anyone gotten OAS to work on SP4 without this patch? Thanks

JDev 10.1.3.1.0
Problem is, I have deployed complete Application server, But I am receiving the following errors.
*No OC4J process up for AS instance identified by domain:
opmn-orabpel+oc4j-anne-8888-default*
1. Actually i gave instance name as --> orabpel
username as --> oc4jadmin
password --> welcome1
But when I trying to connect server with mentioned instance name, I am not able to connect. Is there any specification to set instance name in SOA suite 10.1.3.1.0. Also please suggest how to start my Application server.
2. My doubt is while creating Application server connection from JDEV what we have to select
1. Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3
2. Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.3
3. From the beginning itself my application server status was down. I cant able to understand the under laying issues.
