[SAPPI 7.1] Repository (UDDI )

Hello,
in SAP PI 7.1 a Repository (UDDI) for web services should be realized.
Does anyone know (or has a link to documentation) if this UDDI is also
accessable for 3th party participants?
I would like to know if web services created in PI could be search and find only by
SAP components or is everyone able to use this web services?
Also I'm interested in orchestration of this web services with BPM. In SAP XI 3.0 you
could only use web services by using a send step and configure a soap channel. Is
this easier in SAP PI 7.1???
thanks
chris

Hi,
   webservice adminstration and UDDI repository can be maintained in t.code "WSADMIN".
>>I would like to know if web services created in PI could be search and find only by
SAP components or is everyone able to use this web services?
  i think, it will specific to SAPonly.
regards
mahesh.

  • Jdeveloper + UDDI

    Hello everyone,
    Can anyone help me to provide the links where I can find the tutorials about using Jdeveloper with UDDI?
    My object is to create a business process, then I will deploy the services in repository, UDDI.
    Then, I will create an other business process, this time I won't implement the web service, I will discovery it from UDDI and use them to implement my new business application.
    Many thanks in advanced,
    Sophea

    many thanks for your reply.
    but it is still does not work for me.
    I get error message
    The server osr_server1 does not have a machine associated with it.

  • What components make up the services repository?

    Hello,
    I am looking for information on the services repository in Netweaver.
    Can you point me to any documents which describe the enterprise services or web services repository? How do you publish and access  a service and is the repository UDDI compliant?  Where do you locate WSDL files?
    Any pointers you have would be helpful, thanks,
    John.

    The web services repository for Netweaver is built into WAS 6.40.  On SDN, there is a web services section under Web Application Server, you may want to check into that area.
    The UDDI directory on WAS is UDDI compliant.  In addition, it was developed based on standards that Microsfot and SAP were a strong part of creating.  If you look at the UDDI directory on WAS and Windows 2003 Server, you will see striking similarities.
    I've struggled to find good documentation on WAS UDDI on SDN.  I do know it is installed as part of the WAS.  You can manually load services into the WAS UDDI through a front end, and you can search for them as well.  The UDDI also provides a programmatic way to load and find services (via web services).  However, at this point I'm unable to find any documentation on that.
    I hope this gives you some help, though I understand I've not answered all your questions.

  • New user can't update private UDDI repository

    I created a new user, wsdeveloper
    I connected to the uddi browser
    http://xxxx.usuwd.astrazeneca.net:60001/uddiexplorer/index.jsp
    I tried to Publish to Private Registry
    Logged on as wsdeveloper
    Tried to publish a new contact and got the following error:
    An error has occurred
    E_fatalError(10500): a serious technical error has occurred while processing the
    request. 'try to access method weblogic.security.SubjectUtils.isUserInGroup(Lweblogic/security/acl/internal/AuthenticatedSubject;Ljava/lang/String;)Z

    If I repeat the process using the system account, it works ok.
    So how do I grant the new user write access to the uddi repository ?

    Raj,
    It didn't work for me :(
    wsdeveloper is now in groups: operators and deployers
    And I get the same error. If I add wsdeveloper to administrators it works but
    I don't want developers to have admin privs. And I don't want admin to have to
    maintain the UDDI repository...
    I'm using the following versions:
    WebLogic Server 7.0 Thu Apr 25 17:16:22 PDT 2002 180709
    WebLogic XMLX Module 7.0 Thu Apr 25 17:26:07 PDT 2002 180709

  • How to deal with any UDDI in SOA Suite 11g?

    Hi folks,
    I have spent quite some time trying to understand how Oracle is dealing with the UDDI aspects in the Soa Suite 11g.
    Back to Oracle AS 10g, I remember, even though i had never used it, that the UDDI repository was a out of the box capability with a very nice Web UI to browse the services The Aqualogic Service Bus seems to have features to consume/publish web services in any UDDI, but no real embedded UDDI in its core.
    Since 11g, obviously the way to go is to adopt Oracle Service Registry. There is a seamless integration with JDeveloper 11g (i.e create a UDDI connection to publish/consume/search web services).
    My company is keen to go on a open source UDDI and I came to the conclusion that any of those (i.e jUDDIv3.02, OpenUDDI) are actually able to work properly with JDeveloper 11.1.1.2. I got XSD exception or other cabalistic errors that definitely show that JDeveloper 11g can only deal with Oracle Service Registry. I heard that the Soa Suite 11g could only deal with UDDI v2 and v3. CentraSite does fit those requirements but does not work too.
    Why is that ? How can I set up my SOA initiative without having the choice on the UDDI ? Does this have changed since PS2 ? I have tried to look up on Metalink and I got a hit on jUDDI but it does clearly state that jUDDI works well now with JDeveloper.
    Any answer on that would be highly appreciated.
    Kind regards,

    Hi,
    DVM cache policy is lazy load. there is no option to preload the cache with server startup currently. However this would be affecting only the first request the susequent requests are serviced from cache.

  • How to get the UDDI Key to publish a service provider system in SR?

    Hi,
    I am following instruction in appendix 1 & 2 of the white paper at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/1079b1af-dcb7-2b10-9ebb-eafcaa3cbbea?overridelayout=true
    trying to publish a service provider system into the service registry. One thing not clear to me is how to get the uddikey as needed in step 6 in appendix 1.
    My service registry is in a PI 7.1 SP4 system. I followed the instruction in appendix 2 but there is no uddi key displayed in the General tab. Please help.
    Regards,
    Jiannan
    Paragraph extracted from the whitepaper:
    There may be cases in which the NWA logical settings do not match the Services Repository
    settings when Visual Composer is trying to locate the enterprise services. Such cases can occur
    when there is no SLD ID definition of the physical system in the Services Repository.
    Currently, Visual Composer cannot search for services on a physical system with an empty SLD ID
    (which is not a valid one).
    To obtain this capability, the following steps should be performed to generate the necessary data
    for each system with a non-valid SLD ID, so that Visual Composer can search for services over it.
    1.Log on to http://<serverName>:<serverPort>/WSNavigator.
    2.Select the Services Registry radio button.
    3.In the Find field, enter sr and choose Go.
    4.Select the ServicesRegistrySi line and choose Next.
    5.Under the Operation Name, search for the publishPhysicalSystems operation, select it and choose Next.
    6.Fill the service information parameters with the following (see Appendix 2 for details on how to get this information) :
      6.1.Click the + icon in the physical system[].
      6.2.Deselect the Classifications checkbox.
      6.3.Click the + icon in the classificationReferenceGroups[].
      6.4.Click the + icon in the classificationReferences[].
      6.5.Deselect the classificationSystemKey checkbox.
      6.6.Deselect the uddiKey checkbox and enter the value <localUddiKey>.
      6.7.Deselect the value checkbox and enter the value <localSystemHostName>.
      6.8.Deselect the host checkbox and enter the value <localHostName>.
      6.9.Deselect the physicalSystemKey checkbox.
      6.10.Deselect the logical key checkbox and enter the value <System name>.<SystemHome>.<host name>.
      6.11.Deselect the systemName checkbox and enter the value <system name>.
      6.12.Deselect the type checkbox and enter the value 2.

    Hi Jiannan,
    No worries, you can go to UDDI client from the main page of PI  i.e. http://<serverName>:<serverPort>/
    And you use the search function for  the TModel for your Physical System. Search parameters can use the % wildcard.
    Hit the search and you find the UDDI Key for the Physical System.
    Cheers.

    Sample Service - Account Detail (2.0) is not meant to be published to OSR as it is not a WSDL service.
    If you want to publish services to OSR, you would first need to use the OER Harvester to create the services in OER.

  • UDDI Questions - WL 7.0 - Help

    Hello,
    I am looking at UDDI implementation which is part of WL 7.0 and have following questions.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    thanks
    dora potluri
    1. Can the UDDI registry be deployed across the weblogic cluster? We like to do that
    for better performance and more importantly to provide redundancy. I see no place
    on the console that would let me do that.
    2. What is the default UDDI persistence (storage) mechanism? How is data shared/synchronized
    when UDDI is deployed on multiple instances in the cluster?
    3. Can I configure UDDI to use external LDAP in the backend? If so, how do I accomplish
    that? This way we can implement our own replication schemes to aid us in local or
    geo failovers.
    4. From the information, I infer that BEA has bundled in the acumen technologies
    UDDI registry. Are there are key differences between the one that is bundled in WL
    7.0 and the one offered by acumen??
    5. Security model. How can I implement a security model for UDDI. We like to restrict
    our internet users to find methods, and not allow them to update the UDDI registry.
    Any documentation or insight on how we can accomplish this??

    Please find below the answers to your question:
    1) Acumen UDDI (AUDDI) out of the box in a WLS installation is configured to
    point to WLS's built-in LDAP as its back-end repository. In the clustered
    environment if you configure your cluster to have a single LDAP back-end,
    then all your UDDI data goes to the same instance. However, it seems from
    your question that you want to have redundant data for UDDI as well. I will
    be glad to help you on that once I know and understand you specific scenario
    better. In general though, the back-end for the UDDI is all configurable via
    the file called "uddi.properties" in the WebLogic700\Server\lib directory.
    2) As mentioned above the default is WLS's LDAP.
    3) See above.
    4) The version bundled in BEA WLS is our AUDDI 1.0 release. We have release
    the AUDDI 1.1 version last week. A uddi.war will be available on our site
    for download by Friday that is ready to replace the version that is bundled
    with WLS. The 1.1 version has a built-in browser that is user friendly and
    allows you to perform full UDDI 2.0 functions. Support for user Quota and a
    redesigned User Profile that works with WLS has been added in this release
    as well. I highly recommend you to use the new version and will be glad to
    help you getting it working.
    5) To program into UDDI, you need to write soap commands. You can find
    documentation on UDDI SOAP API from this link
    http://uddi.org/specification.html.
    6) In the 1.1 release you can find examples for businesses that you can use
    to publish. There is also a command line UDDI client tool that you can use
    to submit those samples to the repository.

  • URL to Enterprise Service Repository

    Hi All,
    we have a ERP2005 evaluation system. Now I want to browse the enterprise services similar to the Preview system (esapreview.sap.com).
    Does anybody know the URL I have to use?
    Regards,
    Marc

    hi there,
    AFAIK there's no such thing as an enterprise service repository on ERP 2005 (NW2004s) and therefore no browser for that.
    You have a BSP application WEBSERVICEBROWSER, which shows you all webservices (and webservice-ified entitities like RFCs, BAPIs) on your system.
    And you have the XI integration repository with services defined on XI, which doesn't have such a nice browser (UDDI-like) feature.
    I think we have to wait for the next NW release.

    anton

  • Service Bus(OSB) not harvesting Endpoint to Enterprise Repository(OER)

    Hi,
    I am harvesting a WSDL-based HTTP Proxy Service from Oracle Service Bus (OSB) to Oracle Enterprise Repository (OER) but the Endpoint is not harvested. The other artifacts are harvested successfully.
    Can someone please help
    Thanks,
    Umar

    Hi Anuj,
    Here is the info you requested:
    *1. Exactly which version of OSB and OER are you using?*
    OSB version: Oracle Service Bus 11.1 Sun Dec 18 03:49:34 PST 2011 1447174
    OER version: Oracle® Enterprise Repository 11.1.1.6.0 (v11.1.1.6.0-111103_0001-1437995)
    *2. What type of proxy services are you publishing?*
    Proxy Type: Web Service - SOAP 1.1 (WSDL:OSB_PR_POC/OpenAccount, port="OpenAccountServicePort")
    My proxy service routes to business service.
    *3. If it is a WSDL based proxy then are you able to see enpoint URL in exported WSDL from proxy?*
    OSB shows the Endpoint information(Endpoint URI      /OSB_PR_POC/PS_OpenAccount)
    I don't exactly understand what you mean by 'exported WSDL'
    *4. Did you harvested the configuration from OSB machine itself?*
    The OSB and OER are on the same machine. Used the OSB command line harvester to harvest the project. So, Yes, harvested the configuration from OSB machine.
    *5. Can you provide the harvesting log?*
    Please find below the logs:

  • Access to Enterprise Services Repository (ESR)

    Hello, how can I access an ESR from a simple java console without having to use the Enterprise Services Builder?
    - Is there an API available?
    - Can somebody point me to a "best practice" for working with the ESR by using Java?
    Thx a lot!

    Hallo
      In the SOA world , there are two components which are critical and they define how one access the services.
      They are:
          1. Registry
          2. Repository
      Registry is like a yellow pages, it only contains the pointer to the actual service artifact (service artifact can be a WSDL file or service policies, metadata etc). It does not physically hold these service artifacts. It only contains the pointers. Normally all the registries are implemented as UDDI complaint.
      Repository is place where you store all the knowledge relevant to a particular service like WSDL, Metadat, policies etc.
      The recommended approach is normally access the registry(Using standard UDDI api's) and get a pointer to repository on how to access and execute.
    In SAP World, they have registry implemented as UDDI complaint and ESR is an extension of XI Integrattion Repository. ESR is only a design time component, it's not a runtime/execution component.
      So accessing a service in the repository has two ways
        - One is Registry way
         or
        - Traditional XI way
    Hope it helps
    Best Regards

  • ES Repository vs. our good old Integration repository?

    As mentioned in my blog, I am posting a set of questions on ESR in this forum as an interesting way of sharing relevant information with the community. In the true spirit of forums, the one who answers the question is rewarded!
    What are the differences between the ES Repository and our good old Integration Repository?

    Hi,
    ok let me give it a try - I can list down some of the new features of ESR over the old IR :
    1) ESR has the ARIS for SAP Netweaver integrated where process component models can be developed
    2) We have Business Objects in ESR (which were not present in IR). These BO has CRUD operations called the core services combining which the compound services are modeled
    3) There is no more Message Interfaces but Service Interfaces only
    4) Unlike the Enterprise Services developed using the IR (NW 7.0) now Enterprise Service interfaces developed in ESR can have multiple operations.
    5) ESR has a UDDI registry provided by SAP where the Enterprise Services developed in ESR can be directly published.
    Thanks,
    Dipankar

  • JAXR.UDDI.027: Multiple Schemes matching name pattern

    What does that error mean?
    I'm trying to browse a UDDI repository using JAXR and I when I execute this line:
    ClassificationScheme scheme = bqm.findClassificationSchemeByName(null, "naics");
    I get the error identified in the subject.
    I think the problem is in the UDDI repository because when I execute the same code on http://uddi.ibm.com/testregistry/inquiryapi the error does not occur.
    My problem is, I don't even know what the error means in order to fix the repository. Can someone point me towards an explanation?

    Studying Monson-Haefel J2EE Webservices, I encountered the same issue multiple times with the IBM test UDDI. The message is accurate: there are multiple schemes with the exact same name in the IBM test UDDI. You can verify this with the following code:
               * ClassificationScheme uddi_types = queryMngr
               * .findClassificationSchemeByName(null, "uddi-org:types"); gives
               * Exception: JAXR.UDDI.027: Multiple Schemes matching name pattern
              Collection schemeCollection = queryClassificationSchemesByName(
                        queryMngr, "uddi-org:types");
              printSchemeCollection(schemeCollection);
              ClassificationScheme uddi_types = (ClassificationScheme) schemeCollection
                        .iterator().next();
         private static Collection queryClassificationSchemesByName(
                   BusinessQueryManager queryMngr, String schemeName)
                   throws JAXRException {
              Collection schemeCollection = new HashSet();
              schemeCollection.add(schemeName);
              BulkResponse bulkResponse = queryMngr.findClassificationSchemes(null,
                        schemeCollection, null, null);
              return bulkResponse.getCollection();
         private static void printSchemeCollection(Collection schemCollection)
                   throws JAXRException {
              Iterator schemaIterator = schemCollection.iterator();
              while (schemaIterator.hasNext()) {
                   ClassificationScheme scheme = (ClassificationScheme) schemaIterator
                             .next();
                   System.out.println(scheme.getName().getValue() + ", Key: "
                             + scheme.getKey().getId());
         }My latest result using these functions for the name uddi-org:types is
    uddi-org:types, Key: UUID:C1ACF26D-9672-4404-9D70-39B756E62AB4
    uddi-org:types, Key: UUID:3AE29440-DF6B-11D5-9094-0004AC49CC1E

  • UDDI ; What's that?

    At work I've been been given a task to make a "list" over our web service partners. This list will in turn be called by the business logic in our system, through some API, for easy access to our web service providers. At least this is how I understood it. I've also been told to use UDDI to accomplish this task.
    Since I don't know the first thing about UDDI, I hope someone can at least explain the basics to me! Is UDDI a server I install and configure? Or is it an API I use? Are there any tutorials I can read?
    Someone please help!

    Hi,
    At work I've been been given a task to make a "list"
    over our web service partners. This list will in turn
    be called by the business logic in our system,
    through some API, for easy access to our web service
    providers. At least this is how I understood it. I've
    also been told to use UDDI to accomplish this task. UDDI is repository to describe the business entities and their business services.
    If your web service partners have published their services in a public( http://test.uddi.microsoft.com ) or private UDDI repository, you can find the web services and their endpoints programatically using JAXR.
    UDDI itself provides two services for finding business services and for publishing them.

    UDDI a server I install and configure? Or is it an

    UBR can be found at
