SAPScript font printing

Dear all,
I have a same version of SAPScript layout in both Dev and Prod server. But the printing in Dev suddenly having alignment problem. Below is the printing example before and after in DEV; the spacing between each character become wider:
Before:
Production order : 123456789
Name             : Test123
After:
P r o d u c t i o n  o r d e r : 123456789
N a m e             : Test123
FYI, the paragraph being used for above printing is HELVE 8.0, and the Device type is ZSWIN (copied from SAPSWIN) type L. I did checked on SE73 - printer font, the required font is there.
Will it caused by the recent SP(SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABAP) that applied on DEV? I'm in SAP 4.7
Base on your experience, could you please point me out what went wrong and what should i check?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Bhaskar,
Thanks for your post, however may i know how Print-control affect my case here? I don't see the relation, could you please elaborate further?
FYI i did checked the output type's font(SE73) for output type ZSWIN in both DEV and PROD, they having the same fonts.
I'm totally running out of idea on how to get it solve.
Any suggestions are welcome, please....

  • Sapscript font problem

Hi friends! I have a problem here with sapscript form. I have an form and in preview print on screen is Ok, but when I print it on a printer, some line has font size much bigger, with this report is out of layout. Why in screen preview is Ok but in printer is bigger font? Font missing?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
I was trying to find the problem's solution but comes across a SAP note 548357. Pls check may help you.
    Symptom
When printing a document or report the font that is printed is smaller
    than the size required.
    Other terms
Printing, document, report, font, printer, print preferences, size, PLD, SAP Business one, vertical print compression
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Consulting
    Solution
The "vertical print compression" field is not set to 100 per cent. The
vertical and horizontal compression can stretch or compact the document
    size and effect the font.
To solve this problem, please perform the following steps:
Go to Administration > System Initialization > Print Preferences > General tab.
Check the "Print With Vertical Compression" field and change it as desired.

    Lokesh.

  • SAPScript Duplex Printing (SD Invoice)

    Hi all gurus,
After reading some threads and as I told on this "answered" question from Manfred:
Re: Duplex Printing SapScript: Invoice - Printer tries but fails backside?
We need to print SD invoices in duplex mode.
Settings that we have changed by now:
    - Sapscript: first page printmode as DUPLEX, next as default -> OK
    - Since read from official SAP documentation, for sapscript duplex you don't need to change display type or device type from SPAD. So I left the one was been used. Anyway, to be sure, I change its print mode to DUPLEX. I have also check if the print control SPMDU appears on the device -> OK
    - The printer we use is an OCE MP 1020 which can print on duplex mode and has PCL
    - I have tried printing the text SAPSCRIPT-PRINTMODETEST from SO10 but duplex does not work. They print on different pages.
Following those instructions, I could not manage to do it.
    I have some questions:
    - Do we need to configure the printer locally in any way?
    - About the example "SAPSCRIPT-PRINTMODETEST", do you need to configure something before testing it for duplex printing?
Could you please explain the needed steps to accomplish SAPScript duplex print?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Hi Aidan,
    Thanks for your response.
I have changed the device type from SAPWIN to HPLJ4000.

  • Sapscript's print preview problem

    Hi everybody!
My problem is in sapscript's print preview.
When I call the transaction directly the print preview is ok. But when I call that same transaction through a CALL TRANSACTION command from others reports, the print preview is showed as a simple report output, like it's printed with WRITE commands.
Has anyone got an idea about this?
    Thanks,
    Raphael

    Hi Curtis!
    Yes, I'd found the answer.
To solve that, when use the CALL TRANSACTION command, you have to set the parameter CTU_PARAMS this way:
    CTU_PARAMS-NOBINPT = 'X'.
Doing that, the system knows that it isn't a batch procedure.

  • Font printing problem

I had 5 books printed at a print on demand service over a 3 month period of time.
All the books were created in QuarkXPress with photoshop photos in position.
The fonts used were HelveticaNeue Light Cond and Garamond light Cond Italic.
I generated PDF files, as they requested, and uploaded to their network. All the books came out fine.
I checked the usage and all fonts and photos were ok.
I just uploaded 2 additional books created the same way as the others using the same fonts.
The new books came back with what seems to be Courier instead of Helvetica and Garamond. The type is all jumbled up and unreadable.
I am being told that I should have uploaded the entire font families.
I don't agree since I only used one weight of each family, which what I did on the first 5 books.
What is strange is that the fonts printed ok on the cover.
Doesn't this indicate that the proper fonts where embeded in the PDFs?
I emailed them the definition of a PDF file and am awaiting their answer.
Can anyone help me with any additional information to prove my case?
    Thanks
“PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format developed by Adobe as a means of distributing compact, platform-independent documents. It is superficially similar to HTML; a PDF document may contain images and text, as well as hyperlinks. However, as PDF is based on a variant of PostScript, each document is self-contained, packing text, graphics, and fonts into a single file. With the aid of Adobe Acrobat, many desktop publishing applications can be used to create PDF files. For this reason, and because PDF documents are web accessible, yet display exactly as intended, print publishers often favor PDF over HTML.”

    problem solved.

  • Why does the Harvey Balls font print differently than it displays in Acrobat?

I used the Harvey Balls font (harvey_balls.ttf) to populate a table in a PowerPoint 2007 document. I saved the document as a PDF using the Save As - Adobe PDF function in PowerPoint. When the document displays on my screen, it looks normal. Please see below an example of two 4-balls on the left and two 3-balls on the right.
However, when I print it from Acrobat, the solid black circles that represent "4" in the Harvey Ball font print out with a white cutout in the upper left quadrant of each. Please see below, an example of the same two 4-balls on the left and two 3-balls on the right.
How can I get this to print properly?

    Hi Tara ,
Please refer to the following links and see how it goes .

  • Sapscript font different for two PC Machines

    Hi All,
My user have generated the ONE spool request which contains a Sapscript form targeted for the same printer.  The layout and font looks identical during print preview.  When he prints on computer A the layout is messed up but when he prints on computer B the layout is perfect.  May I ask where can I configure the font settings in the SAP client ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Check the font settings in t-code SE73 or Program RSTXSF01

  • Sapscript form prints #

    Hi,
Pls reply back if you have come across such a sapscript issue before.
Sometimes(Not always) all the contents in a sapscript print out (also the print preview) prints all characters as # . Each and every character on the form prints as '#### .....' .
    Printer used - Xerox WorkCenter
Printer Driver - HP Laserjet 4 Series PCL - 5
Let me know the soln in case anybody has come across such an issue before.
    Thanks,
    ashok

    Hi Ashok,
Can you give some details, like is this happening for only specific printers or font+font size combination as SAPScript recognizes fonts with specific sizes for e.g. Font HELV has font sizes recognized by 10 and 8, 9 - HELV is not recognized by the Script.
As for me I think this problem might be solved by changing Printer Configuration.
    Thanks

  • SAPScript Fonts Problem

    Hi all,
User claimed that simplified chinese characters in Customer Statement forms (SAPscript ), are thin in font, and light in color, if compare to some English characters and Numeric characters on the same page, after printed out (hardcopy). However, when print preview it, everything is fine.
I am using font family, CNHEI, in SAPscript , and my printer (device type) has setup with font families, CNHEI and CNSONG respectively.
Can anyone advise of why simplified chinese characters (CNHEI and CNSONG) are thin in font, and light in color as opposed to some normal English characters and Numeric character on the same page? Any resolution for the above mentioned?
FYI, I am using SAP 4.6C.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Check whether the font size which you are using ( eg. 8 or 12 etc) is available in SE73 against the font CNEI etc.
If its not available, then SAP converts the font to some other font which has the size 8 or 12 etc.
To check whether the font is converted, use following steps :-
    1. Goto transaction SP01 and enter the Spool request number -> Execute
    2. Tick the check box on left of the spool number
    3. Goto -> Display Requests -> Settings -> Change the DISPLAY MODE from Graphical to RAW and come back to Spool list screen
    4. Click DISPLAY CONTENTS
    5. Now you can check the actual FONT used by SAP during printing
    a. If Font is converted from say TIMES to some other font, then Upload necessary font through SE73 transaction - True Type Font Installation
    b. If Font size - 16 is to be created then goto SE73 transaction -> Printer Fonts -> Change -> Double click the printer -> Select the font and click on New.
Specify the Font family, size, Bold, Italic as per you requirement.
I assume that the printer supports necessary fonts.
    Best regards,
    Prashant

  • SAPScript Font Style not working in QA

    Hi Folks,
My client has requested a SAPSCript form change in their 4.7 system.  I have imported the Verdana TT Font family into SAP to meet a business requirement, and created the font family ZVERDANA. All good.  I have created a custom style using the new font family ZVERDANA, and used this custom style in a standard text object, which is working fine in our development environment.  The Standard text even displays in the nominated SAPScript form in development in the Verdana Font.
I've transported everything to QA, but the Standard text object is not reflecting the font upon printout.  I have verified that the font family exists, and is the same as Dev, and the Style exists and this is also a match for Dev.
When I view the Standard text object in SO10 with the graphical PC editor, the text appears in Verdana, but when I do a print preview from SO10, or when I generate the nominated Form, it's displaying in courier.  The code in the Standard Text object is as follows:
    /:   STYLE ZINFINIT
    HD   INFINITI SERVICES PTY LTD
    SP   Phone: 03 8911 1234  Fax: 03 8911 1200
    ST   www.infinitiserv.com.au
    SP   Mailing address:
ST   Locked bag 2226, Melbourne, Victoria 3001
    /:   STYLE *
Has anyone encountered an issue like this before, and if so, any thoughts on how to get the TT Font to display outwardly?
    Regards,
    Steve

Thanks for your quick reply Tamas.  At this point in time, we haven't tried printing the form out yet.  The issue was identified based on on a print preview of the form on the screen.  Similarly, the document is, more often than not, emailed as a PDF.  The print difference is visible in the OTF/PDF/Print Preview views, before we get to a printer.
However, this is not the case in Dev.
    Cheers,
    Streve

  • URGENT: SapScript Layout printing

    hi all,
i have to develop a form which look something like this (click the link for layout)
    <a href="http://www.geocities.com/xwing88/layout.JPG">LAYOUT</a>
my problem is for columns: Date, Vessel & Remark, these are include texts.
    - i need to print the column lines
    - the texts should not overlap the column lines
    - how should the window placement be? i've tried the first 5 columns from left is the main window, the remark column is a VAR window which displays the text only, however at the end of the text i'm supposed to display the attachment list. i've tried displaying the list from an internal table but the form only prints the last record, even if there's 3 records, all printing the same value
    - i've even tried the whole thing is the main window. my problem arises when i tried to print the include texts. if i use the include text command from sapscript and supply the PARAGRAPH to the command, the texts will be printed a line below, displaying a line feed. however if u use FM READ_TEXT in the print program and use element to control, i ahve the same line feed problem as well. the remark column is printed a line below.
-how to make all the text starting from the first line?
-how do i keep all the text within the column line? what if the texts are very long??
plz any help or suggestions are very much appreciated. any tips will do...
    thank you.

    Hi!
This is very complicated task in SAPScript.
    - If the texts are constant, or they are not changing very frequently you might create windows for all grids. You will place the relevant text in the right window, you can address windows dynamically.
    - You might try to read the text within the printer program (using FM READ_TEXT) and separate the corresponding lines into a table. Then loop at the table and just simply print the lines, and use BOX command for the frames
    - Or you might write it in SMARTFORM, which makes this task easier. This is one of the smartform's advantages, it can handle cells very well.

    Tamá

  • Sapscript FI - Printing cleared items

    Hello all.
I am the program RFKORD00 to print payments with a sapscript.
When i make partial payments i can print them without any problems.
The problem is when i make the rest of the payment. From this moment on, i can only print the final payment. When i try to print the previous partial payments it tells me the items have been cleared by another document.
I have a copy of RFKORD00. What do i need to change in it so i can still print the previous documents?
    Thank you
    Nuno Silva

    Hi,
I am not sure if i understood ur question correctly.
Anyways i think in the output types there is settings which you can define whether to reprint a already printed document. Check if this is enabled or not.
If its not enabled it will not allow you to re-print the documents printed earlier.
Did you try printing from tcode VF31?
    Cheers

  • PDF with embedded fonts prints in Courier

I created a PDF using a large Word file and jpeg pages.  I bought a new font (Archer Book) for the Word file.  I am using a Mac and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Trial Version.  When I created the PDF, I combined the large Word file of text and picture pages, some Word pages printed to PDF from Word, and some jpeg photos.  The Archer Book is listed as Embedded Subset, Type 1, and different types of encoding in the Document Properties for the resulting PDF file.  It all looks great on my screen and prints correctly from my laptop and from a computer at my house that does not have the Archer Book font installed on it.
However, when I took it to Staples and they printed it, it all came out as Courier.  I cannot understand why; they said it was because the font wasn't embedded -- but according to the Document Properties, it was.  I tried to use Distiller to make a new PDF, thinking maybe I couldn't just do it in Acrobat, but got this error message:
    %%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: –œ ‡°±· ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I am at a total loss at this point, and of course am under a huge time crunch.  If anyone can tell me what to try next, I would really appreciate it!
    Thanks
    Meg

In Past versions of Word, you could save the file in Postscript format.  (File.ps) IF using 2007/2008, 2010/2011, 2013 don't allow saving as Postscript.
You can Drag and drop Word Files on the Icon of Acrobat in the Dock (or Start menu or where ever located), and Acrobat will process Word files into a PDF. It make take a while to do so but it will.

  • Missing fonts/printing files

    Hi there,
Does anyone can give some advise? About why I am getting a messages on my screen when I am saving a Illustrator file, saying that I am missing two fonts.
    - I have tried to convert the text into outlines, but even though, is still showing me the messages of the missing fonts.
-In the other hand, the printer in order to avoid the same problem, is asking for the next information:
Please, send us the printing files (this is to say, all the information that our supplier needs to print the packs)
Since we have got a part of this information (pdf attached), our supplier needs a file with the types to prepare the printing  process.
The fonts required are : FrutigerLTCom-BoldCn and RilloHeavy
    Any ideas?

well the font is not allow to be embedded unfortunately
    - I am using the CS6
    - My type fo file is Adobe Illustrator Artwork 16.0
    - I am missing the fonts when I am saving as a PDF file.I have been told that for them is easy to check the file in this way. Do you think I should change the way that I am saving it?
    Thanks

  • Copying sapscript for printing in different language

    Hi,
I need to create a sapscript which needs to be printed in 2 langauges and assigned to 2 different output types(one for english language and other for Chinese).
I have already created teh sapscript for the english language and not sure how to create the other one for chinese language.
The language for printing will be determined from vendor master.
Do I need to copy the sapscript(English version) and while copying just maintain it in English language or Chinese language?
    Please advise.

    Hi ,
    As David says,
you can create your chinese language layout and use Menu path
Form-> Copy From... and copy your english language  lanyout to your chinese langyage layout.
after that you can use SE63 for translation your english Script to chinese language Script or directly you can change heading text  and other text in inside your layout.
but make sure  if your paragraph format is not support chinese language then you can create new paragraph format for chinese language Script.

    Prasenjit
