SapScript: labels or many pages on one sheet

Hello,
I have the requirement to print four labels on one A4 sheet. Matrix 2x2.
Can it be done with sapscript or do I need to use smarforms?
I thought of designing the layout for just one label, and then printing four pages on one sheet, but dont know how to do it?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks.

Hi,
Better way is to go with smart form. You can design the templet with 2 rows and 2 coloums in the Main window with one page.
You can easily draw the borders, alignment etc..
That makes your work more easy compare to the Script.

How do you get rid of extra white space when you are printing multiple pages to one sheet of paper?  When printing multiple pages to one sheet of paper Acrobat won't let you select the "zoom" for printing.

  • Is it possible to print multiple InDesign pages on one sheet?

Say I have a 10 page InDesign document. Each page is fairly small. When I go to print out those proofs, can I print all 10 pages on one sheet of paper? Or do I have to copy each layout separately onto a new document to group them? Just to save paper really.

I agree. That's not gonna happen even with Feature Request...everybody loves drop shadow...
    are you kidding me?
That horrible drop shadow bar adds no value to thumbnail prints and causes designers to have to trim the prints to the thin line page edge that prints. With the bar under the thumbnail, it interferes with page design decisions, which is really the whole point of printing thumbnails--to save paper while quickly evaluating the design of the page.
It would also be helpful to have thumbnail print options galore, for printing miniature booklets with pagination controls, etc., for little samples we could give to our clients.
If the InDesign software engineers would add realistic drop shadow controls for thumbnails, that would be fine. But designers still want the ability to turn off the thumbnails.

  • Stop printing multiple pages on one sheet

When printing from Acrobat or Reader, the print preview and settings show that I am printing a single page on one sheet of paper. However, it actually prints two pages side-by-side on one sheet of paper. How would I stop this? This is the only program that does this. I have checked all printing settings in all Adobe products as well as the printer settings in the device's properties. Your help is greatly appreciated.

It seems like an issue the with PostScript drivers installed on the machine. Did you install the latest version of PS Drivers on the customer's machine?
    You can also check this:
    Click on Advanced
    Select PostScript options
    Select Language Level 2
    and then try.

  • Want to put 2 pages on one sheet

    Windows Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional
I have copied a camera manual as a .pdf file. The pages are small enough that I want to put two pages on one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. When I have only one page per sheet, the image on the screen and on the printed page are full size. I can get two pages on one sheet: HOWEVER,the size of each printed page shrinks. The print is small and very hard to read, both on the screen and on the printed page.
I am new to Acrobat and there is probably an easy solution. I have tried a number of things with no success.
How do I keep each page full size when merging two pages?

Not necessarily the cleanest, but you can print to a new PDF file. In the printer properties, select the page size, and multi-up option. You might also find that on the pdf printer menu (at least I have that on my AA8.1.2). You may still have to select the paper size, since it is different from the original.

I want to print a 70 page pdf file but don't want 70 pages.

    Hi,
That can be done easily using the Booklet feature of the printer driver.
Open the PDF in Adobe Reader, then clcik on File > Print.
    Click the Properties button.
Within the Layout tab check the radio option next to Booklet, you may keep the draw borders box checked or uncheck it as you prefer.

  • Reducing margins when printing multiple pages on one sheet

When I print a pdf document from Preview, a document from Pages, or from any other application and select the Layout-> Pages Per Sheet as 2, 4, or more, very large margins are put around each sheet and between the pages on the sheet. If these margins could be reduced, the print size would be bigger. Is there any way to reduce these margins (say down to 1cm or so)?

I figured out a way to reduce the margins. You can do it quickly by choosing Scale to Fit-> Fill Entire Paper, from the Preview settings in the print dialog box. You can also increase the scaling to make the writing fill up more of the page manually by choosing Scale -> and putting a higher percent. The preview window is helpful in showing what it will look like.

  • Printing multiple pages on one sheet not working.

    Hey All,
I'm reasonably new to the mac environment and am having trouble getting pages to print multiple flyers on a single sheet. I've set the flyer up in Page Setup for it's actual size which is 4 x5.5inches. I've created the flyer within this size sheet. When I select Print and choose 4 pages per sheet under layout options, nothing happens. The preview does not update and the printed doc (both pdf and on my deskjet only have one small image as opposed to 4. Any ideas as to what's going on?
I've used this type of feature on many other applications so I think i have a good grasp as to how it's supposed to work but am prepared to be educated!
    thx!

have no idea about what is wrong on your machine.
Here doing that I get a normal behavior:
    You may try:
    a - quit/close Numbers
    trash the preferences file:
    <bootVolume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork.Numbers.pli st
    empty the trash
    restart Numbers.
b - try to do the job from an other user account

  • 8 pages on one sheet?????

Howdy all - an amazing program for the PC, Fineprint (http://www.fineprint.com/products/fineprint/index.html) can print up to 8 VERY legible pages on on page of paper. It makes print preview for Mac look almost silly. Does anyone know of something comparable for the Mac? I switched 6 years ago, and Fineprint is about the only thing from my PC days that I miss.....
    Thanks

Uwe - yeah, that's pretty much what I was looking for. I wouldn't say I was 'new to Mac' (my original post said I switched 6 years ago! - Unless you consider 6 years new...), and I am familiar with the print layout menu. I had just never bothered to pull down that one drop down that gave you a choice of pages per sheet!
It's not quite as elegant as Fineprint, but for most of my needs it will work. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Another thing Fineprint did was allow you to easily 'shrink to fit' when printing. For instance, trying to print an invoice or something from a website. It seems like they ALWAYS print two pages, and the second page will have ONE line on it, like the URL. It's annoying, and with a shrink to fit option, you can avoid this. It's basically a driver that will take the print job and fit in on one page. Does that make any sense?
I've tried the 'Paper Handling' routine in the same print menu you mentioned earlier. It will scale to fit each -page-, but not combine the two to fit on one.
    Here's a not-so-good example - go to this URL - http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx
Select Print, but view the preview. Based on my layout (Firefox - default fonts) it wants to print to two pages. 95% on one page, then a few paragraphs on the second one. I want to be able to shrink the print job so it ALL fits on one page. Ideas?

  • In Pages '09, OSX 10.8 how do I print multiple pages on one sheet of paper.  (I used to be able to do this in earlier versions via the "page setup" menu.

Forget it.  The answer is that the multiple page per page setup comes up in the printing menu.  (When you do command-P)

Click on the Show Details button in the Print dialog.
Whenever options seem to disappear, have a look around and explore what is available. Particular when they have what appears to be relevent labels.

  • How to Print Multiples time the same pdf on one sheet

I see many have asked this question. This can be acheived easuly in the print dialogues. It is applicable for all applications which can open the print dialogue.
    Try the following!
With the Print window open, make sure that the “Pages per sheet” setting is set to “2 pages” and that the “Page range” value is “Pages: 1,1?
if your document has 2 pages and you have to print 2 pages in one sheet 2 times, set the Pages per Sheet to 4 & Page Range Value as "1,2,1,2"
    i hope this helps.

    Thx !
    The Ctrl technique worked fined,
I wished there was a better tool to do this, but it worked !

  • Printing the same page multiple times on one sheet

So last year I wanted to print out minature versions of my card design and I was able to do that by printing out multiple copies of the same thing on one sheet of paper. Of course that was a while ago and now today I can't do the same thing. I remember printing the same page(copy) multiple times either in acrobat or indesign. I see that I have a front and back version for last years card and I'm assuming I must have done it in acrobat. Last year when I looked at the preview there was multiple copies of my page. This year I only see 1 even as I choose the other things. At first I thought it might have been the version I was using on my windows as opposed to the version on my mac. But now I'm on my mac and I still don't see how I did it last year. Please help! I keep reading that this can't be done but I remember doing the same thing last year. It was the 16 copies of the same thing option. I tried it again this time but it doesn't work. I tried printing the 4 copies only 1 copy was printed.(the preview didn't even show all copies like last year) The verson of acrobat is X. version 10.1.4

What exact version of iPhoto 9 are you using? Version 9.5's solution will be different from the solution for earlier versions of iPhoto 9.

  • How many pages can be open in one single tab before I lose the first page of the tab?

I use a tab for weather info on many places and I have lost the first few ones if I put too many places. Example: First page is Vancouver, last New York, and in the middle many places. How much pages is it safe to put in a single tab without losing ANY places from the beginning of the tab? EXTREMELY irritating to lose ones as I have to put all the places again (of course in fewer numbers)!
PS.Mozilla: If I shut down Firefox and I'm in the end of the tab containing the previous weather pages, I only get around 10 or so places backwards and lose all others, this SHOULD CHANGE! I want to have at least 30 places backwards there when I come back! Weather is not the only thing where people want tab-pages to be saved and safely there for the next session. This has bothered me for a year, please change this!

I'm not totally sure how many pages Firefox can remember. Its a lot though. If you want to view them, and count them if you want, click the back icon and hold it and a list will come up of recent web pages. I like your change idea though.
    Cheers
