SAPScript ouput + Smartform Output in ONE SPOOL

Hey folks,
I have a single print program and I am using it for 1 SAPScript Layout and 1 Smartform Layout.
Everything works great,except that the outputs get created in 2 separate spools after execution.
Is there any way I can trigger both of them into a single spool?
The SAPScript needs to be get printed first and then the Smartform.
Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
you have to check the outputparameters of the smartform and the sapscript.
You have several options for it. I do not know them all by head.
for smartform you have ssfcompop-tdnewid. if this one is X you create a new spool it it is space it uses an open one.
ssfcompop-tdfinal is to close a spool.

I want to print the production order package in one spool request.
Print program consists of Smartform and SapScript.
First page is in landscape format with barcode(Smartform) and the rest is in portrait format(Sapscript).
In SAP documentation is written that it is possible for several Smartforms to be printed in one spool request.
Is it possible for 1 Smartform and 1 SapScript called from a single program to be printed in one spool request?
I have tested it with calling first the Smartform control-no_close= 'X' without success.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how?

Combining multiple smartform output in one spool request

Hi,
I'm calling 5 different smart forms from driver program based on some conditions and trying to merge the output of each of these smart forms in a single spool request. I achieved this by setting control parameters no_open and no_close based on first or last print.
The problem i'm facing now is when i call one particular smart form ZSMARTFORM6 along with other smartforms i'm getting a error FORM SMARTFORM6 has wrong Page format.
If i call only this smart form it is working correctly.
Any idea how to avoid this error message.

Display all sales order's smartform output in one spool request

Hi,
If suppose user has given sales order number from 01 to 14 then the output of all sales order should come in one print priview of spool request. How to do it?

Hi Madhuri,
Call open form write form and close form in loop so that till sales order remains in the loop the form will continue to print. In this way all sales order in internal table will print in the same spool.

When calling your smartform FM, pass value 'X' for parameter user_settings as below.

Print multiple copies of a smartforms in a one spool request

Dear all,
I've a network printer "HP Laserjet 4250" configured with an output accessory "Sheet Stapler/Stacker".
With these accessory all pages of the same spool are stapled together.
For transaction VL02N we would print n copies of the same delivery using smartforms in this printer, so all copies will be stapled.
The problem is that in SPAD Copy Counter options if we set the choice "Pass copy counter to the host spool system" only one copy is printed;
it seems that copy counter parameters has no effects.
If we set the choice "Pass copies as separate Output Requests", the spool system will send a separate print request for each copy of a document to be printed; but with this option multiple copies are not stapled since they belong to different spool.
SAP System is ERP 6.0 EHP5 based on windows /SQL 2008 and the last kernel patch.
Any idea to solve the problem ?

Hello,
By default the number of copies is transferred to the OS host spooler
and handled by it.
The flag to pass copies is set in the Output Device definition via
transaction SPAD as follows:
SPAD -> Output Device -> <Output Device name> -> Output Attributes ->
'Pass Copy Counter to Host Spool System'
Can you please change this flag to:
'Pass Copies as Separate Output Request(in SAP System)'

Smartforms output in XML format

I have billing order invoice, client is getting its output in standard format but now he needs the output of that form has to come in XML format, if we are using standard output format in form attributes, its showing output but when we are chenging its option we are not getting any output, only one spool create, and we are not able to understand what exactly output will come, it will come same like standard format or only spool will create and if only spool create then how we can send it to our client. please solve this issue, thanks for ur support.

How to create a multiple PDF-form outputs into one PDF?

I`d like to create a PDF document with a few pages in it, build from different PDF-forms using many form-function calls. Where each PDF-form can use its own interface.
I`ve made a simple programme, but as the result I have a few separated documents with scrolling tab instead of one document with all pages in it.

Sorry, but making single PDF from many smartforms is not what I want to achieve. I wold like to know how to get one PDF document made by ALC-forms.
In my example I have many PDF documents. So, how to get (or put) them all in one PDF?

i have created a form which is called by a custom report.
The report selects the data for different customers of the same company code and
is then calling the form. The form is only opend and closed once for each run of
the report:
Open form
    output 1
    output 2
    output n
Close form
The result is exactly one spool request (in OTF format).
Now i changed the output options before calling
the form (output_options -> structure SSFCOMOP):
output_options-xdfcmode = 'X'.
output_options-xdf = 'X'.
output_options-xdfoutmode = 'S'.
output_options-xdfoutdev = 'IDS3'."->output device of type PLAIN
The result was a regular spool request in OTF format.
Within a debugging session of the generated function module
of the used form i learned that in case of multiple outputs into the same
spool request the above output options (for XDF output) are completely ignored
(or not used).
Is this behaviour intended by SAP or is this simply an error
in the generated code of the smartforms function module?

REQUIRE One spool request for n copies in one print command in smartform

Hii Friends,
          I created a smartform..I require 5 copies of that form..There is a text which needs to be changed in evry copies...eg Original in first copy
                        Duplicate in second copy
                        Triplicate in third copy....n so on
So i used a loop n i am calling smartform 5 times....The problem is i need one spool request to be created..
Note: By default sometimes it create one spool request and sometimes 3 spool request...

Printing Several Forms in One Print Request
Use
You want to bundle several forms into one print job.
Print Request vs. Spool Request
SAP Smart Forms allows you to bundle several forms to form one output unit. This output unit is called a print request. A print request is different from a spool request:
Whether a new spool job is created in the spool depends on the settings in the spool dialog.
Whether a new print request starts depends on the standard parameters of the generated function module you set in SAP Smart Forms. For each print request, the spool dialog is called only once. If you suppress the dialog, you can pass parameters for spool processing only at the beginning of the print request.
This means that a print request gathers several forms before submitting them to spool processing. Thus they cannot be spread over several spool requests. Vice versa however, you can include several print requests into one spool request.
Procedure
Use function module SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME to retrieve the name of the function module generated from the Smart Form (see also: Integrating the Smart Form Into the Application).
Call the Smart Form for the first time and set the NO_CLOSE parameter of the control structure. This prevents the print request from being closed after accepting the output of the Smart Form and allows you to include all other form output into this print request as well. Leave the NO_OPEN parameter empty.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the first time you can also call function module SSF_OPEN .
If you want to start a new spool request for the print request, set the TDNEWID field of the Output Options in this first call.
For all other form output of the application program that you want to include into the print request, use a loop to set both the NO_OPEN field and the NO_CLOSE field of the control structure.
To close the print request, in the call of the last Smart Form set the NO_OPEN parameter and unmark the NO_CLOSE parameter.
Instead of calling the Smart Form for the last time, you can also call function module SSF_CLOSE .
Result
The forms you called in the steps described above are included into one print request. If in the first step you started a new spool request, you can now view its status in the spool request overview (transaction SP01 ).

Procedure
 When we activate the Smartform the system generates a Function Module. The function module name we can get from Smartfrom screen from menubar
Environment => Function Module_Name . In a report we can get this Function module name by calling a Function Module standard SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME. This function module at runtime calls the FM generated by smartform, which in turn is then used to pass data from the report to Smartform. In the report given below the FM generated is /1BCDWB/SF00000152 . In this FM we can see CONTROL_PARAMETERS in import tab. This is of type SSFCTRLOP. We need to set the GETOTF of this to be X. Setting this field will activate the OTF field in smartform.
In export tab of the FM generated by smartform we can see a parameter JOB_OUTPUT_INFO which is of type SSFCRESCL. The SSFCRESCL is a structure of having one of fields as OTFDATA. OTFDATA in turn is a table of type ITCOO. ITCOO has two fields TDPRINTCOM and TDPRINTPAR. TDPRINTCOM represents command line of OTF format data and TDPRINTPAR contains command parameters of OTF format data.
In every Smartform output in OTF format, TDPRINTCOM begins and ends with //. EP represents the end-of-page value for TDPRINTCOM field.
In addition we need to set few fields at the place where we call this FM(generated by smartform) in our program. While calling this FM we should set control_parameters, output_options, user_settings and job_putput_info fields as shown in program.
Once these settings are done we can call Function Module CONVERT_OTF to convert the OTF data of smartfrom output to PDF data format. Once these are done we can call method cl_gui_fronted_services=>file_save_dialog to specify the directory path where we want to save the output PDF file. After this we can call Function Module GUI_DOWNLOAD to download the PDF file on our local system.

Migrate PO output from Sapscript to Smartform

Hi,
I'll be migrating ZZMEDRUCK (customized copy of the standard form)that is in sapscript to smartform. I'll be doing this manually since some of the layout/format was changed by the user. Now do i have to create a new print program aside from the ZZSAPFM06P so that it will call the new smartform that i will make? Do i have to create a new output type? Or i dont have to do this and just change the configuration in M/34?

TCode smartforms--> Utilities --> Migrate SAPScript form
This will copy hte SAP Script form into smart forms.
But this will not solve the purpose.
YOu will have to map the print program accordingly.

Combining output of 2 spools into one

Hi guys,
I have 2 program which are called by main program both are generating spools.
I want to combine the outputs of both the spools into one file(eg pdf).
Can anyone suggest how to do this if possible.

If you create repeated spool requests in the same transaction, you can combine them into one spool request. For you to be able to do this, this option must be deactivated for the spool request to which you want to add the others.
If you do not select this field, the spool system automatically adds additional spool requests that have the same attributes (user, title, output device, client from which the request was issued, number of copies, priority, cover sheet setting, archiving mode, and ABAP session number).
For a spool request to be added to another, you must deactivate the New Spool Request option when creating the spool request.
If you are combining requests, note the following rules:
-         If the expiration dates of combined spool requests are not the same, the spool system uses the latest date for the entire spool request.
-         To print out a "combined" spool request, set the Print immediately option on the last of the spool requests that is to be added. The spool system adds the last spool request and then sends the entire "combined" spool request to the output device.
If the following situations exist, you cannot add any additional requests:
-         A request is "completed" and cannot have additional jobs added to it when it has been sent to the host spooler for printing.
-         No other spool requests can be added to a spool request you generated with the Print immediately option set or that you sent to the printer from the output controller.

·        Delete After Printing if No Errors: If this field is selected, the spool request, output request, and output data are deleted automatically after the request has been successfully printed.
The spool system retains spool requests that contain errors. You need to delete requests of this type manually. Otherwise, they are automatically deleted during a reorganization of the spool database after the expiration date.
The delete option is set in a user's master record and can be changed:
-       When a spool request is created
-       In the request attributes () for the spool request
