SAPScript: Overlapping Windows and Print Preview

Hello,
i've got a problem with an existing SAPScript-form.
My Z-form has got an overlapping window where a bitmap prints
"NACHDRUCK" (in english: reprint) diagonally over my MAIN-window.
The responsible person isn't satisfied with this modification, because
in the preview the bitmap overlaps the MAIN-window and so she must
print the document to see the details from MAIN.
Can anybody please tell me,
how i can solve the problem to show the MAIN-window before
the overlapping "WATERMARK"-window in the preview???

thanks for your answer,
but in CO04 (reprint) with production-orders
the printpreview has got every time the value 'X'.
I mean every time you want to print an production-order
the preview appears. - now without the watermark -
But if you want to print the document afterwards the print routine
doesn't start anymore an so the
document appears without an watermark!
I hope you've got more suggestions?

Font for Print out and Print Preview

Hi all,
I am working in SAP R/3 4.6C and using SmartForm.I have a trouble :
I uploaded Arial Font into System Font and Printer Font and i want to use this font for print out and print preview.But this font is only applied for print out and the print preview uses still Courier Font not Arial as I want.
So, anybody tell me why and give some idea to solve this problem.

There is no arial font option in 4.6..but it 4.6 scriptforms arial option is there,but it will not work..it will give some other font...
Mainly 4.6 version does not support ARAIL font..
4.6 does not support all the fonts which are avilable in MS-WORD..only few fonts are uploaded into SAP 4.6 syatem...this is the problem

How to fetch print and print preview variables

hi everyone,
my requirement is as soon as sales order created. printout of that sales order will be taken at the same time email should be send to that particular customer.
the problem is the email is sent as soon as we check the print preview itself.
but the mail should be sent afte the pressing print button only.
how to fetch print or print preview by program

Problem with window.close() and print preview in IE

Hi all,
In IE, when window.close() or self.close() is executed, the window is closing perfectly. But when after opening a print preview window from file menu in IE and after closing the print preview with [X] button, then the window.close() is not working. Is there any solution to close the window even after closing the print preview window? here is the sample code.

Apple vs Windows - print quality, scanning, and print preview

I use an old Epson A3 Photo (1290) to produce very high quality prints as artists' limited edition cards. From Windows the print quality is fantastic, but printing the same page from the Apple (to the same printer) the print quality is terrible. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?
Also the Epson and my two Canon printers offer a print preview from the printer driver, which has saved me many a duff printout. I can't find the same option from Apple (for the same printers). Is there a solution?
Finally - I have a high-quality Epson Scanner, the 4870 Epson Perfection. It came with EpsonScan, a very nice program I've used for many years. The Apple image capture is pretty pathetic in comparison. Anyone have a better suggestion? Surely there must be one with good functionality and flexibility. (I tried installing EpsonScan to the Apple but for some reason it can't see the scanner, even though it is plugged in.)

I'm using Apple's Epson print utility for the Epson which I downloaded as a software update when I connected the printer, and the Canon ditto. I have finally managed to find the paper types and print options, though not a print preview atm - the problem may be the software I'm using (QuarkXpress), as there was definitely a print preview from Open Office. I'll continue looking into it.

Since installing Firefox 4, I keep getting this message "TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined" when a window should open. Also print and print preview don't work properly anymore.

Since installing the newest version of Firefox, This message "TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined" appears in a box when a new window should open. Also, what you see in print print preview is not what prints.

This type of error is usually caused by an add-on you are using that is not compatible. It could be anything from an antivirus link scanner like AVG Safe Search add-on, or McAfee Site Advisor add-on, or something similar. To confirm what add-on is causing this use the procedure in this link:

Try Disabling the last add-on that was installed prior to upgrading to version 5.0
Check and tell if its working.

Differentiate between print and print preview event trigger for sapscript

Hi guys,
For sapscript, is there a way to know if the user presses the print or the print preview button? I need a way to determine if it is a print or print preview event triggering.
I've checked the OPEN_FORM fm but found nothing useful.

This is not supported by SAP, but well this is a possibility:
FIELD-SYMBOLS <ls_itcpp> TYPE itcpp.
ASSIGN ('(SAPLSTXC)ITCPP') TO <ls_itcpp>.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
* here you may use <ls_itcpp>-tdpreview
ENDIF.
Another way maybe is to declare the interface work area ITCPP (shared data in the same internal session):
TABLES ITCPP.

About mismatch in print layout in direct print and print preview and pdf!

I have created one smartforms,when I run the standard trasaction VF03 and select any output type and then when I click on print preview button,and then when I put PDF! in address bar ,the print preview will convert in PDF format,it will show output without bold and comes only in normal fonts.
Also, when I run transaction VF03 and direct click Print button, then it shows print as per requirement , but it overwrites some part on the end of page where company address is priprinted on stationary,so how can i show print format same in both condition without overwriting?

HI friend,
The one which is coming in the print (hard copy) is the correct one.
Print preview may be different.
So if the print is coming in overlapping format means check whether the windows are aligned properly. Because if you have given any data in main window and when it grows it over laps on another window.
If that's is correct check the printer settings for it. Only these would cause the print to be distorted.
Check this and revert back if you have any issues we will help you.

Safari 5 don't print jpg images in Windows and prints with problems in Mac

Hi All,
When I try to print images in Safari (Windows) it will print blank page.
This is sample source:

This is ok in Mac.
Also in Mac When I'm printing image in Landscape it print image in 2 pages.
Image really fits in landscape mode and there is no need for second page.
I thought that the problem is margins..., but changing them do smaller values doesn't help.
Can someone help out?

Color Discrepency between Develop image and Print Preview

Is there any way to alter the color image in the Develop module so that it matches the color of the image in the print preview screen? The colors in the final printed image match those of the ones displayed in the print preview screen and are nothing like the colors I am adjusting in the Develop module. Thanks for the input.

The web preview on windows machines should not match anything indeed. Internet explorer is not color managed at all (shame on you MS). If the web preview matches your print, but the develop screen doesn't it means that you have miscalibrated your screen. Your screen is probably very close to sRGB as many are and you could probably get away with just using sRGB as the screen profile (not recommended for real color management BTW). Anyways, we have seen gobs and gobs of windows color management issues come by here that turned out to be corrupt monitor profiles. As a test, try clearing the profile that you have selected in the monitor's properties dialog (and thereby selecting the default sRGB) and restarting LR. If you still see a difference between the different modules, the monitor profile was corrupt and you should recalibrate.

Generate and Print Preview Multiple Forms in a Single PDF

There have been other questions similar to this but none directly address my problem. We have the need to generate multple forms in a .pdf using Adobe interactive forms. We can generate the multiple forms, but the user has to click on each form to view. They want to have the forms in a single document that they can scroll through before printing. We can do this in SmartForms but need to do it in Adobe. Does anyone know how to generate multiple forms, either multiple copies of the same form or various forms, from an ABAP program into a single pdf that can be print previewed, in scrollable form, by the user?

I can describe it one more time, I think:))
You have multiple options, but only one "reasonable" within SAP.
You can call an external application (through command line etc.) to concatenate forms for you.
You can use iText as mentioned in the thread, and write yourself a "tool" which will concatenate the forms for you.
Both these "options" would not be acceptable for my clients, I name them to help you get the whole picture.
Then there is the third option: use a form for a single instance (template/ form A) and create a new form (form B), where you will use the A template:
- you need to: create a new interface where everything from the old interface is a row of the table (example: you have a form to print out the personal card of the employee, so in a new form you will need to use a table, where a row is an employee)
- you need to create a new form layout based on the new interface:
in this new layout you will paste the whole layout of the old form (A/ single instance) and wrap it into a subform. The added subform will work as a table (you will bind that to the table from interface) and everything from the old template within this new subform will work as a "row" (something what you can repeat for each data item).
Does that sound reasonable?

Updation of table after Print and Print-Preview in smartform

Hi,
I am having a requirement where i need to print multiple deliveries with the sales order data each delivery on a new page using smartform.
Now , i am using SSF_OPEN, SSF_CLOSE Fm's for the same. I need to update a Z table after the user clicks on PRINT from the pop-up or print from the print preview screen.
I tried using the output_info parameter in the smartform where i read from a post that the OUTPUTDONE parameter becomes "X" in the job_output_info when the user clicks print wither in the two ways said before.
This does not work out in case if the FM'S SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE are used.
Kindly help me on the same.

yes i tried that..using the AT new event for a Delivery and then a command to go to the NEW PAGE, but somehow when i execuet the form, i could not see the layout..so in the debug i saw the subrc after the FM is run..it says SUBRC = 2 i.e. internal error. I am not able to figure that out.
So i had to use these open and close, nowi just want to update a z table if the user clicks on the print button (print preview screen) after using the print preview .

How to enable standard actions and print preview in Output management in FU and FO in SAP TM9.1

I have maintained configuration which is related to output management in Freight order type (truck load).
Configuration is :
Output profile : " /SCMTMS/TOR" and
Add. Output Profile “ /SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD”.
Results: I have created a Freight order based on the FU ( Sales order ) , go to output management tab in FO, I can see only one Action status that is “Shipping Instruction” .
Expectations: I am expecting couple of other FORMs like HBL and label and etc which is available in “/SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD”.

Dear Surender,
For PPF customizing you can follow SPRO path -> Cross application components ->Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications->Reusable Objects and Functions for BOPF Environment ->PPF Adapter for Output Management->Maintain PPF Settings -> Select the application '/SCMTMS/TRANSPORTATION' -> Define action profiles and Actions.
Select the required action profile (Here in your case /SCMTMS/TOR or /SCMTMS/TOR_PRINT_ROAD)-> select the required action definitions -> Make sure 'Inactive' checkbox is deselected against the required action -> Choose processing types -> Here you can assign a new form. You can also create new action definitions and assign forms accordingly.
Then go back and go to 'Condition configuration' ->Choose the required action profile -> Check the Start condition and schedule condition. Make sure you have 'Schedule automatically' radio button selected under overview tab.
Print preview is also called as Document preview. To my knowledge this tab should be displayed default with standard under Output Management tab. Document preview will appear upon selecting the action in Output management tab. If not appearing just check the WD component customizing or personalization.
