How can we write vertical text in charts in a peolesoft

    Hi.
Having played around with this also, I've concluded that it is not possible. There seems to be no mention in any doc'n of a difference between 2-D and 3-D in this regard. Yet the options for vertical or diagonal X-axis labels are grayed out for 3-D; and if you format that way in 2-D, then change chart type to 3-D, it reverts to horizontal.
Not knowing how extensive your needs are, here is an admittedly crude kluge that may be of some use: In Chart Data Editor you can delete the X-axis labels, then replace them with text boxes having whatever orientation you want, and group them with the chart - IF the chart also is fixed on the page. Of course, if you have a lot of charts, and/or you need to retain integrity of the labels, this wouldn't be acceptable.

  • Write to Text File - unflatten channel string

    Hi all,
This is my first post on the forums!  It's been very helpful for me but I have not been able to find a solution to my (simple) problem.
    Operating system: Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Labview 2012 Full Development
I'm using the DAQmx unflatten channel string to get the names of the channels, and when I Write to Text File, I get the names of channels to be displayed vertically, ie a new row for each channel in a column.  I'd like to "transpose" this, but obviously you cannot transpose a 1d array.  Any ideas on how I can do this?
Any and all ideas are appreciate, thank you in advance,
    -AK
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Show us how you are doing this.
My guess is that once you get the data, you have linefeed characters separating the channel names rather than some other delimiter such as a comma or a tab.
Depedning on how you are going from the channel names to the file (a string, an array of strings, Write to Spreadsheet File, Write to Text file, ....) will determine the best way to fix the problem for you.

  • Vertical text in Sapcript

How can I put a variable vertical text in Sapscript?

Made some tests by myself, and it works pretty well...
I will to put the sample thinking in number, but you can make it more general changing some things (like the IF ELSEIF clauses, and of course, the bitmaps to upload)
    1) Make (or seek for) bitmaps with numbers rotated 90º (let's suppose you use bitmaps named bmpzero, bmpone... and monochrome)
    2) Put in your form n new windows (where n means the lenght your number must have)
    3) Put in each of your windows the next statements (changing the DECLARE statement in function of the position of each figure in your number:
you must have declared mynumber in the report where you call the form, or you must change the sentence below :P
    /: DECLARE &myfigure& = &mynumber+n(1)& <-- n is the position of your figure
    /: CASE &myfigure&.
    /: WHEN '0'.
/: BITMAP bmpzero OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BMON.
    /: WHEN '1'.
/: BITMAP bmpone OBJECT GRAPHICS ID BMAP TYPE BMON.
    /: ENDCASE.
I wish be useful for you this piece of code. Regards,

  • Vertical text in jTable headers

    Hi,
I have got a jTable with quite a bit of columns in it. Is there any way I can write the text - vertically in the header (first) row.
Please let me know if you have got any suggestions.
    Thanks.

I remember reading about it, maybe in the next Java version.
You can do it yourself by creating for the column headers a TableCellRenderer.

  • Vertical text with JTextPane?

I am writing an application for displaying and editing sign language texts using Sutton SignWriting. It is a sign language writing system which enables the Deaf people to write to each other in their own language. And it is language-neutral, that means, all sign languages of the world are supported. Please see http://www.signwriting.org/ if you want to know how Sutton SignWriting looks like.
Sutton SignWriting is often written vertically from top to bottom, because it shows the horizontal location of the gestures better this way. The signs themselves are composited of one to about ten symbols which are placed freely within the sign. A symbol is a hand, a face or just a movement or a contact; they can be rotated or mirrored.
At first I thought I can use the JTextPane. The signs are just JPanels with the symbols painted on it. This idea would work if JTextPane had the ability to switch to vertical text, very much like for Chinese or Japanese. But I didn't find such an ability. Do I really need to implement my own SignWriting text pane? Or do you have a better idea?

Thank you for your suggestion. But I am sorry to tell you that the CodeGuru solution doesn't help me. It is for JLabels but I would like editable vertical text. Any ideas?

  • Vertical text, right to left text, Japanese documents...

I downloaded the iWork '09 demo and immediately checked to see if I could finally type a Japanese document in the traditional way (lines vertical top to bottom, read right to left).
Am I correct in thinking this is still not possible?
This is the forth version of Pages and it's still impossible to write a document correctly in Japanese. On the Japanese iWork page all the screen shots show English language documents. This alone really says a lot about the quality of this product for non-English documents.

You are correct. Apple even says that this is the case when it lists the system requirements:
    http://www.apple.com/iwork/systemrequirements.html
I think the only apps that can do vertical text in OS X are MS Word, NeoOffice/OpenOffice, iTextPro/LightwayText, plus Japanese InDesign or QuarkExpress 8.

    Hi ginada,
Your question has been asked many times in this forum. A much requested feature update for sure.
Please send feedback directly to the Numbers team with your request: at the top of your screen to the right of the blue Apple please click "Numbers" > "Provide Numbers Feedback". I've sent many as well. The more of us voicing this request maybe the more they'll likely add it to their next version perhaps.
Again, welcome to Numbers Discussions, have fun here.

  • Where write long text referred at sales order item ?

    Hello,
Where is possible to write long text referred at sales order item ?
    Tks.

    Hi,
It is understood that you want to add a long text in the sales order at item level; say the long text is having around 10 pages of text. This text is to be added to the item level whenever you want.
    Follow the steps given below.
    1.     Keep the 10 pages of text in a text file.
    2.     Store the 10 pages of the text in the system; Menu Path >> SAP Easy access >> Tools >> Form Print out >> SAPscript >> Standard text; transaction code is SO10. Double click on that and give a text name u2018TEST001u2019, text id u2018STu2019; click on u2018Createu2019. Copy the text file and paste in the work file opened.
    3.     Select the item details in VA02. Select the text tab. Select the material sales text (or whichever you want). Click on details. u2018Change item noteu2019 will open; Click on u2018Standardu2026.u2019 (Ctrl +Shift + F5).
    4.     You will get u2018Insert Textu2019 box.
    5.     Enter the text name u2018TEST001u2019
    6.     Select u2018Expand immediatelyu2019.
    7.     Click on u2018Continueu2019.
    8.     Text will be pasted in the window opened.
    9.     Save the text.
    10.     The text can be viewed by clicking on details u2018buttonu2019. Menu path: VA02 >> item details >> text >>  material sales text >> Details button.
    11.     You can check all the texts stored in SAPscript by (Ctrl +Shift +F5) at step level 3. Click on u2018Findu2019. All the text will be displayed.
Hope this information will be useful to you.

  • Can you write vertically in the cell of a table, can you write vertically in the cell of a table

can you write vertically in the cell of a table, can you write vertical

If you don't understand that my response was a smiling echo of the stammering question I really can't help you.
I guess that my 36725 points prove that I may be helpful. It seems that at this time you don't really know what are helpful answers.
Using spreadsheets since more than twenty years, I know that storing something in an auxiliary object floating upon a cell isn't a serious workaround to the asked question. We may be sure that more or less soon, the object will no longer be were it was supposed to be.
At this time, if we want to put a vertical text in a cell it's safer to insert a character, a linefeed, a character, a linefeed … which, one more time is echoing the stammering question.

I have made a book of my iPhoto pictures. In certain layouts there is a text frame. How can I avoid the frame becoming visible in the print if I don't want to write anything?  Should I just leave it untouched or should I delete the instructing text "Write your text here"?

Most pages have layouts for pictures only or pictures with text boxes. Either select the same layout for that page but the one without the text box or put a space in the text box.
Putting a space in the text box will avoid getting the warning when ordering that there's an unfilled text box in the book. The box will not be visible in the final product.  You can and should check the book before ordering by previewing it as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it

My iphone dosen't doesn't make key tone sounds anymore when I write a text message or when I want to dial a phone number I don't know how to fix this problem, I don't hear the clicking noise anymore does anyone know how to fix this problem? And all the sounds on my phone are on, even the keyboard clicks.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case.  If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

  • Write to Text File.vi Output file all but first line start with tab

The attached PNG shows the code used to build up concatenated strings into a string array for the first four lines, thence to a string Array, to Spreadsheet String.vi and, finally, the use of Write to Text File.vi
The lower right corner shows the result loaded into a spreadsheet. Note the 3 blank entries marked by a filled red rectangle. Examination of hidden characters shows there is a tab at the beginning of lines 2, 3 and 4.
There is no tab shown in the code. How do those tabs get there? How do I stop them?
I have tried with the option "Convert EOL" both on and off with no difference.
The Help states that an OS-dependent EOL character is appended to each line. I can't imagine the Windows EOL character includes a tab.

I am still puzzled as to why those additional tabs were added by Array to Spreadsheet String.  I'm holding in my hand a printout of an old LabVIEW 8 program with that construction, which is known to work properly.
Makes complete sense when you look at your code.  You build a string, including an end-of-line character, and put that string into an array.  Then, when you run it through Array to Spreadsheet String, it puts a tab after every array element, and new line at the end of each row in the array.  The first element of your array contains a new line but Array to Spreadsheet String doesn't know about it; it still inserts a tab between that array element and the next one, giving you the tabs.

  • Sapscript and Standard Text - Polish Characters not printing

    Hi,
I have created an English Sapscript and translated it to Polish via transaction SE76.
Changing my PC Region and Language settings to Polish allowed me to enter Polish Characters into Hardcoded text in the Sapscript and Standard Text via s010.
    I have two problems:
    1) With my PC Region and Language settings set to Polish, when I create my sapscript output some of the polish characters that I have entered via SE76 and SO10 do not appear and are replaced by others e.g.
    ę is dispalyed as ê
    ć is displayed as æ
    ń is displazed as #
    2) I have a business requirement to be in England Logged with PC Region and Language set to English but to print a sapscript output in Polish. Is this possible.
We are currently on non unicode SAP system.
    Please can anyone advise.
    Regards

    Hello,
SAP discourages mixed code page or MDMP systems and with good reason. If there is any possibility of you upgrading to a Unicode system in the near future you should try to wait for it. Supporting multiple languages in Unicode is easy, in MDMP it can be quite tricky. And MDMP makes the move to Unicode more difficult.
That said, your BASIS team can enable Polish and you can print in Polish while your PC is set for English. The SAPScript/Form must be in Polish or using an INCLUDE that is LANGUAGE 'PL' to let SAP know which code page to use when printing.
Seriously, look at moving to Unicode, you need to do it eventually anyways.
