Sat Pro L20 - What PCI Card do I need?

I have a Sat Pro L20 (model PSL2YE-00J005EN). What PCI Card do I need for a Wi-Fi connection? They all seem to be 32 bit cards but my manual says I have a 16 bit slot.

Hi
I have visit the Toshiba accessories website and I have found a information that some unit has always the wireless card. Did you check in the device manager if there is a wireless card?
Unfortunately I dont have found a exactly part number of the wireless card which is compatible but if you want to order one so I would recommend to contact the Toshiba service partner. There you can order the miniPCI which is 100% compatible with your unit.

  • What video card do I need to make Photoshop CC 2014 to use 3D? I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB graphics.

What video card do I need to make Photoshop CC 2014 to use 3D? I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB graphics.

    A couple of questions:
    1.  Have you tried resetting your preferences?
    2.  If you go to Preferences > Performance - is "Use Graphics Processor" enabled?  If not, can you select it?
Your system should be fine to support 3D in PS CC 2014.  Once I have more information from you we can move onto next steps if necessary.

  • HP ENVY 700-074 Desktop - what graphics card do I need to install to use a blu ray player?

I purchased an external blu ray player - "LG 14x external blu-ray/dvd writer super multi blue be14".  For some reason I thought my system was compatible.  However, it's not - apparently the Intel(R) 4600 won't work.  What graphics card would I need to install to allow using this blu-ray device?  What else do I need to know?

Ah, I should add, the Blu ray player's support site (for Cyberlink) suggested a pile of different drivers - 30 or 40, but didn't offer any specifics regarding my particular system. What I really need to know is what would be the best option for my particular system.

  • Sat Pro M70-113: Express Card slot - What for?

    Hi,
can anybody tell me what is the use of express card slot on my sat pro m70-113,like what hardware can i connect to it for expansion..
    Thanks..

    Hi
This new expansion Express Card slot for notebooks has two sizes: Express Card/34 and Express Card/54, whose widths will be 34 mm (1/8) and 54 mm, respectively. Both are 75 mm long and 5 mm thick. The idea is the same of the PCCard, only that by using serial communication instead the parallel one, it uses less pins (only 26 pins, against 68 pins in the PC Card) and that permits the manufacture of smaller expansion boards.

  • Video capture with Sat Pro M70: What ports and leads can I use?

I want to edit my home movies on my Sat Pro M70 using WXP Pro (win dvd or movie maker). I want to capture the video from my panasonic camcorder which has digital tapes. what ports can I use and what leads do I need? I am desperate to edit my recent wedding video to put onto DVD and post to my mum. The panasonic website has been ignoring me! Any advice anyone ??

Well, as far as I know this unit has only an S-video out port. In this case you can connect the notebook to the TV and watch the picture from notebook on TV but its not possible to receive any signals from TV or any other device on notebook.
To receive the signals you need a composite port or an s-video in port.
However, if the camcorder has a firewire port so you can send the digital files thru the firewire connection. But this should only works with digital files which are saved on the camcorder.

Hey thx Thomas for reminding me, I have a 4 port hub which I have'nt used in a while,,I added it and my external drive still cant be seen. any of them and I have 3 different ones,,I have done some searching on this and found something that mentioned the "mass storage" I have looked in the system profiler and dont see anything like that.could this be an issue??? also under s/p when I look at the "usb" info I see my mouse/keyboard and the hub all connected but no external drive ??? yes it's turned on hehe....oh btw how many people on here work for OWC cause it seems thats the only site any body recommends around here...lol

  • Satellite Pro 2100: wireless PCI card

Installing a Broadcom wireless PCI card and need to know where the aerial leads are routed (screen or base) so that I can try and extend them one is short by 1cm - oh and do the colours black and white correspond with main and aux?

Thanks for the wiring designation. Yes, I see that Tosh keep things close to their chest re disassembly of their machines however, if any techs or repair engineers out there pass by these boards then just tell me whether I should be looking in the lid or the base. Taking the lappy apart will be a doddle and I have no warranty period to worry about but don't want to start in the wrong section. Cheers.

  • New hard drive, need PCI card, do I need to reformat?

    Hi all,
I'm afraid I didn't do my research properly beforehand, and allowed a retailer to convince me to buy a new 160GB hard drive, only he neglected to tell me that I'd only be able to see 128GB unless I bought a PCI card as well.
So, I've just spent two days backing up my stuff, installing the new drive, and transferring my stuff back to it, re-installing programmes, and generally giving my mac a 'spring clean'. Now I find out I need a PCI card so I can make use of the spare GB on my new drive, so can anyone reccomend a particular one?
Also, once the PCI card is installed, does this mean I'll just suddenly have more space, or does it mean I'll have to reformat the drive again (and back up all my stuff and reinstall it all over again)?
    Many thanks for any advice.
    Rob

Drive would have to be reformatted to use all 153GB - maybe not worth it.
A PCI card won't buy much in the way of performance... just to get 28GB space? skip it and use as is.
You could just put it in FireWire case and have that be your new backup. FW bridge (Oxford 911/912 etc) support large drives. Get a FW800 PCI for $49. Or pick up a larger drive for FW backup.
If you had bought a nice 300GB 16MB cache... then yes. Or if you redo this in some way, consider SATA drive and controllers.

  • 2 questions: validity of my machine's status as a 3.1 Mac Pro, and what PCIE cables for Radeon 4870?

Hello, I bought a used mac pro from a guy that said it was a 3.1.  It runs great and when I go to "About this Mac" and then to "More info" and look at the hardware info, it says that it is indeed a 3,1.  However, the serial number sticker on the back says it's a 2.8!  Any insights into that?  I'm very new to Mac Pro desktops and I just want to make sure I didn't get ripped off.
My second question.  The machine came with the standard X2 quad 2.88 GHz processor, 8gb of Ram, and a Radeon 2200 graphics card.  I bought an ATI Radeon HD 4870 from a guy on craigslist but he didn't have the power cables for it.  He said it wasn't a big deal and after I did some research it looks like I need some PCIE power connectors.  The card takes two, 6 pin power cables.  My question is where do I plug them in on the logic board?  Should it be a 6 pin plug in also meaning I want a 6pin to 6pin cable like this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200975&nm_mc=KNC-Google Adwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Internal+Power+Cables-_-N82E16812200975 &gclid=CMW8u4Po5LUCFcdDMgodx2AAyA).
So yeah, the simplest answer I'm looking for is what cables do i need to power my ATI Radeon 4870 in my Mac Pro?  Another way to answer that I guess would be to explain to me the way my power supply works in my mac pro.
    Thanks!
    Mickey

That is an 8-pin. And I just posted Amazon link to 6-pin in another graphic card upgrade thread minutes ago.
And  it had a ATI 2600XT. good thing you replaced it.
10.6.8  tends to run best but try - andkeep 10.8.x and see  how it goes. Also more options later in graphic cards.
Call Apple and have them check  the serial number and they can provide for small $20?fee the OEM  DVDs it shipped with (10.5.x) and  Apple Hardware Test. They can  also sell 10.6.3 DVD
I would have looked for the ATI 5770, better support, the 4870 lacks some ML (Mountain Lion) support for OpenCL.

  • What PCI card to USB adapter can I use on my Satellite C

    Hi
My remaining working USB port has now deceased and I am stuck as I can no longer print (more importantly the kids can't print their homework!!) From the little understanding I have found out that I can either get the mother board replaced (expensive so not an option!) or get a *card adapter with USB ports* on it that goes in the card reader at the front of the laptop??
Does anyone know exactly what I am to buy as it all looks rather complicated to me!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! many thanks, Kerry.

    Hi Kerry
Can you please tell us more about your Toshiba notebook?
Which model do you have exactly?
Have you tested functionality of all USB ports?
    How old is your notebook?
I mean if the warranty is still valid contact nearest Toshiba service and ask for help?
Do you have new printer with WLAN inside. If yes you can print using WLAN connection.

  • What SCSI card do i need for new Mac Pro?

hello all, can anybody give me a straight answer on the cheapest SCSI card I can buy from UK, to fit in my Mac Pro. I have googled and searched the forums and am getting confused by talk of all the different types.
I have borrowed an old neg scanner, which is SCSI only. The guy gave me a SCSI card as well, but it came from a PC. I figured I would chuck it in the Mac and see if it recognized it. Cue epic fail, because it appears only to fit in "backwards". that is with the scsi port facing into the case.
No big deal I thought, I'll just buy one. I had no idea it would be so complicated.
Speed of connection is not an issue to me, I just want it to work!
    Please help, thanks in advance
    stu.

Hatter, thanks for the speedy reply. Can I only put in an expensive SCSI card? Why don't the cheapo 50 buck ones work? Sorry for being dense...
I hear your point about cheapo USB scanners, but the SCSI one i got was free! Just looking to archive my years of negs and want to keep the costs to a minimum. Will defo check out firewire adapters though. good call.

  • What video card do i need for final cut pro x?

I can't update because it says my video card isn't good enough. It's the standard card that came with the Mac Pro.  Can't find a list of approved video cards.
I don't want to spend a great deal and I hoping that some day, some year before I die, Apple will release a Mac Pro with Thunderbolt, if they ever get back to being a computer company again.

I have MacPro 1,1 (first generation) bought NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT on eBay and it works great. This one

  • What video card do I need to upgrade to run FCS 2 on my G5?

Close to buying FCS 2 to use all applications, including Color on DVC PRO HD 1080i project. I know I must uprgrade my ram , monitor and some other specs, but is there a preferred graphics card out there that can get the job done for my Dual 1.8 G5?
    Gracias.
    -El_Matador

    Hi-
After reviewing the system requirements for FCS 2, you'll see that you want the most powerful card that you can get:
    http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs.html
As for what card, could you clarify the model of G5 DP 1.8 that you have?
    In the mean time:

The refurbished X800 XT would be a likely candidate.
