Satego X200-21D - Which RAM for upgrade?

Hello,
I have a Satego X200-21D, Modell Nr. : PSPBEE-007001GR and I want to upgrade my memory from 2*1 GB to 2*2GB. Can I use DDR2 memory with support for DDR2 PC2-6400 or DDR2 PC2-5300 speed?
Thanks
wolfgang

Hi
I have checked the specifications of Satego X200-21D and it seems that you only need DDR PC2-5300 at least but you can also buy PC2-6400 modules because they are downgrade compatible. That means they would run with PC2-5300 speed but thats no problem.
Make only sure that you buy high quality modules, e. g. Kingston. Alternative you can order RAM modules from an authorized service provider, the part number for 2GB is PA3513U-1M2G

  • Satellite L300-22L - Which RAM for upgrade?

    Hello.
I have Satellite L300-22L notebook. Can you tell me which is the best RAM for my system in speed and capacity?

    Hi!
The Satellite L300-22L belongs to the PSLB8E series and is equipped with Intel GL40 chipset.
That means for upgrading the RAM you need modules with the specification DDR2 667MHz to a maximum of 4GB.
Theoretically you can buy modules with these specifications from every manufacture but I have good experience with Kingston modules. I use them always for upgrading my notebooks and never had problems.

  • Satego X200-21D: TS-L632D DVD-Drive doesn't read and burn DVD-R DL

    Hallo,
I have problems with my SATEGO X200-21D DVD-Drive
TS-L632D to read an burn DVD-R DL discs.
I contacted the Toshiba-support via e-mail ans asked
for a new drive-firmware, but the answer did not solve my problem.
There are only updates in the toshiba download area,
but not for my drive model. I can send my notebook
for money to a service partner, to check this problem.
I can not understand this! I bought a highend notebook
for 1.700 EUR and it is no firmware update support
available to solve problems with newer discs?
If i search for this problem in the WEB, there an a lot of
questions and problems with reading and burning
DVD-R DL discs with this drive modell!
    How can it be???
I hope for some hints to get a firmware drive update
to fix the problems reading and writing DVD-R DL discs.

    Hi,
yes I have got the TS-L632D drive and not the TS-L632H - that is true. But why is no firmware update available for TS-L632D,
because also this drive has problems with DVD-DL discs!? I payed 1700,- EUR for my Thoshiba notebook with the
DVD-drive TS-L632D. And in my opinion it can't be, that for this drive version is no firmware update available!!!
Other companys (f. i. DELL , SAMSUNG) support this drive version and offer firmware updates for this drive modell.
It is a fact that my DVD-drive has problems to read and burn DVD-DL discs! This is a known fact for many drives and therfore
exists firmware updates for the DVD-drives to fix this problem. But why not for my drive modell???
My be it was an error to by a Toshiba Notebook!? I am a customer and I don't care what special
DVD-drive modell is in my notebook (TS-L632D , H or wwhat ever)!!!
My message to Thoshiba: "Pleas help me to solve my problem!!!"
    Greetings

  • Satego X200-21D - Specifications of PCMCIA slot

    Hi all,
can someone told me the specific for the PCMCIA Slot? In special I wanna know how much Volt the slot has.
3.3 V or 5 V or can the slot both of them?
    Kind regards,,
    Adrian

    Hi twister666,
The Satego X200-21D doesnt have PCMICA slot, it has Express Card slot. This slot allows you to insert an Express Card. An Express Card module is a small, modular add-in card technology based on PCI Express and USB. The max. transmission rate at 2.5 Gbps. Both 34mm type and 54 type are supported.
But about voltage I can find no information but I think thats not important because there is a standard voltage for this specification that every card will work.

  • How do I select the correct ram for upgrade to iMac 8,1?

How do I select the correct ram for upgrade on my iMac 8,1? When I look up information online, I believe that I have SO-DIMM ram. Do I need to purchase SO DiMM? I want to upgrade to Maverick and I think I was told that I need DDR2 or SDRAM. My model # is A1224, if that helps.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
OS X Mavericks requires 2 GB of RAM at least, but I recommend at least 4 GB of RAM.
You have got an Early 2008 iMac. You can buy more RAM at OWC or Crucial. Your Mac supports 6 GB of RAM

  • Satego X200-21D - possibilty for 8GB of ram ?

Is there a possibility to run 8GB DDR2 ram (2x4GB) on this laptop ? Or new bios is needed ? Will be there in future one, that will grant this ?

    > "Supports 8GB of Memory the Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family supports a main memory size up to 8GB."
Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family contains Intel PM965, Intel GM965 and Intel GL960 chipset
The notebook was equipped with the Intel PM965 and you have to read the details about Intel PM965!!!!
If you don't believe then buy 2x 4GB RAM modules and try to upgrade the notebook but please don't wonder if the notebook will not support it.

    Hello
Im wondering that you want to upgrade to 8GB RAM... Normally 3 or 4GB should be more as enough for all applicaions at the moment.
Anyway, as Jayjay said its not possible to upgrade to 8GB. A friend of me has a Satellite A300 and the user manual says that it can upgrade to 4GB or 2GB (depending on the chipset). So if you have a PM965/GM965/RS690M chipset you can upgrade it to 4GB. Otherwise you can only use up to 2GB.
I have upgraded my Toshiba notebook with Kingston RAM. This is high quality RAM and has a good compatibility. I never had problems with such modules.
    Check this!!

  • Portege R600-102: which SSD for upgrade?

    Hello everybody.
I'd like to upgrade my SSD from the actual 128GB to a bigger one: which are the specs for the new SSD to work? Which interface does it need to have? Which physical dimensions?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    TIA,
    Flavio.

    Hi
I assume the SSD upgrade is the same like HDD upgrade.
The notebook support SATA controller You will need an SATA SSD drive.
The old SSD drive is 9.5mm height the new SSD drive should support the same height.
Since the SATA controller is not limited to any size, it should be possible to use SSD drives bigger than 128GB but there is still an question of BIOS support.
Unfortunately, its not known to me if the BIOS would support bigger SSD drives but usually this should be supported.

  • Choice of RAM for upgrade

    Hi,
I'd like to buy RAM to reinforce my two Xserves listed below. How can I make sure that the following proposal will function ?
    6 units of KINGSTON 2GB 1066MHz DDR3 ECC CL7 DIMM
    with Thermal Senso MPF ML
for a Xserve 64 bit and
    3 units of KINGSTON 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 ECC CL7 DIMM
    with Thermal Sensor MPF ML
for a Xserve Quad Core Intel Xeon 2x2.26Ghz.
Also, the initial RAM are SAMSUNG, can I let them with the KINGSTON or shall I remove them completely ?
Thanks in advance for your answers and sorry if this feels a bit silly.

Oh well I found the answer on the kingston site (http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configuratornew/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=54179&mfr=Apple&model=XserveXeon+DDR3+%28April+2009%29&searchtype=&root=&LinkBack=&Sys=54179-Apple-Xserve+Xeon+DDR3+%28April2009%29&distributor=0&submit1=Valider).
    It's ok.
I guess I posted too fast.

  • Which crucial RAM for a new iMac 27" 3.6 Intel Core i5? 1st time buyer

    Hi,
I'm thinking about buying the new iMac 27" 3.6 Intel Core i5 and was thinking about getting it with the standard 4 GB of RAM from the apple store, and then adding another 12 GB for a total of 16 GB of RAM. This is the RAM from crucial:
    http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=iMac%203.6GHz%20Intel%20Core%2 0i5%20%2827-inch%20-%20DDR3%29%20Mid%202010&pl=Apple&cat=RAM
I have never bought RAM separately before. What happens to the 4 GB that are already in the iMAC? Do you just buy 12 GB and add it to the existing 4 GB, or do you buy 2 packages of 8 GB and install those two after removing the existing 4 GB? Could someone please advise me which RAM packages I need to buy to max out my RAM? Thank you for your assistance!!
    Tim

Do you think it would be worthwhile to sell the 4 GB of RAM that comes with the iMac to decrease the cost buying the 3rd party RAM?
That depends on what you plan to upgrade to, if you are going take it all the way to 16GB I'd probably hold onto the old RAM for few weeks just to ensure everything is safe and sound but don't expect to get much for it. If you buy the RAM from OWC they will give you a trade in value for it and that's something to investigate.
Will adding this new RAM void apple care warrantees?
Of course not, you can download a copy of the manual from the Support site and also get a copy of the warranty. In the manual it will have detailed instructions on how to upgrade RAM, Apple wouldn't put that in there if upgrading RAM would impair the warranty. In the warranty it clearly says if any damage is done that would void the warranty. About the only way you do damage is to pour coffee on the RAM slots while you're upgrading or hammering them in with a ball peen.

  • Upgrade Ram for my compaq presario cq 42-368tu laptop

Hi..i am in struggle.i nead a Ram upgrade urgently. My laptop is currently having elpida 2gb ram of 10600 pc3 1333mhz latency with 9 and i need to buy one ram of 2gb. Which comoany ram i need to buy? Did i need to buy elpida ram or can i buy fron other manufactures?please reply in detail or suggest one ram for me.help me please.

    Hi:
Yes, I agree that you are in a quandary. The "official" HP specs state max of 1 GB (512 + 512).  PC2100 DDR.
The configurators and other sources state max is 2 GB PC2100 DDR (you can install PC2700 DDR, but it will only run at the PC2100 speed. PC2700 is probably cheaper.
I can only give you techical information about your 845GV chipset, which supports 2 GB of memory as most 845 chipsets do.
So, the only limiting factor would be an artificial limitation put on the PC by the BIOS. I doubt that HP would do that, and so I conclude that perhaps the "official" HP specs are incorrect.
I have a HP 6910p notebook computer. HP's official specs state the maximum memory is 4 GB (2 x 2GB). However, I knew for a fact that the Intel 965 chipset supports up to 8 GB of PC2-6400 memory.  I took a chance and bought one 4 GB chip (as they were fairly expensive at $60 each).
As I hoped, the PC took the memory and Vista 64 bit reported 6 GB of memory. So then I bought the second 4 GB chip, removed the 2 GB chip, and my PC happily hums along with 8 GB of memory.
I know those chips are relatively expensive in relation to what you are getting but I say go for it.
Do what I did. Buy one. If it works, buy the second one.
May I recommend you do some comparison shopping?
I recommend this memory and if it is cheaper then I would go with it.

Which O/S upgrade is recommended for a MAC Book Pro17 with Intel Core Duo 2.16 GHz
    I am using os x 10.4.11.
Do I need to upgrade to 10.5.xx? Will this platform suport 10.6.xx? If 10.6 will work do I need to install 10.5 first?
    Thanks...

Hi. Your computer can be upgraded to either Leopard 10.5 or Snow Leopard 10.6. 10.6 will be much easier to find and will be less expensive. Leopard is not required prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard.

Could it be the problem lies with iTunes and not Aperture?  iTunes 10.6.3 was released on the same day as Aperture 3.3 --  June 11.
If someone has a configuration to test an older version of Aperture with iTunes 10.6.3 to see if the problem exists, that could be helpful.
