Satelitte P305D-S8829 - won't connect to internet
If the power cord is plugged in. I unplug the power cord and it works fine. Further, not only will it not connect to the internet if the power cord is plugged in, but it will kick all other computers connected to the modem off the internet. Any help appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Karen
Thanks much, however, this is the 3rd maybe 4th power cord and 2nd Satellite from Toshiba as I returned the first one (after it was working fine for quite some months and recently developed this problem).
My DSL provider tells me that I have the circuit it is on "overloaded" but have not done anything different and even trying it on its very own surge strip and separate outlet does not remedy the problem.
Does not make any sense as when we hook up a Dell to the same electical components it works fine.
Does the Toshibe draw more power? and why would it work fine, like I said for months, and then quit working correctly?

For the past few days my Mac Mini has been having issues.
Safari won't connect to internet, but Firefox does.
Time and date are frozen. Only resets when copmuter is re-booted.
Unable to update via App Store and iTunes won't connect either.
Please advise.Hi again,
Let me ask for some better help for you that is familiar with this problem (if in fact it is a similar problem with the IP address and your ISP.
The other topic concerning this can be found at:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2725608
It is a somewhat lengthy thread but may just apply to your situation.
Anyways I will see if I can call on some better help for you. Hang in there. Best to arm yourself with enough info before contacting Comcast so they might know what you are dealing with fully.

edit: I have posted for some extra help for you that may have a better idea of what's going on if it is your ISP and their modem and how it handles the IP address causing Safari and iTunes not to connect. Hang in there it may take awhile but I'm sure someone will pop in to help.

How to enable a disabled iPod that won't connect to internet
trying to enable my disabled 5th generation iPod touch. I have tried connecting to iTunes on the computer, which I couldn't get it to do anything. I then tried using the "Find my iPhone" website and erased the iPod. However, I got a message that says "This iPod will be erased when it connects to the internet". How do I connect a disabled/locked iPod to the internet/wifi while it is waiting to be erased because it won't connect to internet/wifi?
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
I just got this computer brand new a week ago. It started trying to watch vid on the net and it workstation show the picture. Then 2 days later it won't connect to Internet explorer at all. I'm so frustrated I mean how is this possible to have problems already. If I can't fix this tomorrow I'm taking it back. Please help thank you
Before you go there call your provider first and have them check the provisioning on the phone. They will ask if you did this when you go to the Genius Bar.

Brand new Apple TV won´t connect to Internet
I just bought an Apple TV 3rd generation today. Unfortunately I´m having some issues installing it.
The Apple TV does connect to my wifi network but won´t connect to Internet. I´m currently using Time Capsule as router and thought that all Apple gadgets would have no problems connecting to each other. Both my Macbook Air and iPhone can connect to Internet when using the same wifi. I´ve tried to restart and restore Apple TV a few times and have also restarted my router. Apple suggested that when troubleshooting, but it did not work. Anyone who knows how to solve this problem?I´m not sure what just happened, but when I woke up this morning and started Apple TV it worked. Haven´t done any changes in settings...
Out of curiosity, if the same problem occurs again how would I solve the internet connection problem. Yesterday I just saw computers/settings on the main screen. -
New iPhone 4s won't connect to internet
New iPhone 4s won't connect to internet beyond my home wi fi. How can I correct this? I need internet where I go.
I've got exactly the same problem.
Upgraded to iOS7 all was fine.
It then prompted me to upgrade to 7.0.2 and now my iPhone 4s won't connect to Internet anymore.
There was also a carrier settings update that I accepted which could have broken things.
I've tried different APN settings but it still won't connect for me :-(
Tried a Reset Network Setting, and the problem is the same. -
Safari won't connect to internet; Firefox will ???
Safari won't connect to internet; Firefox will???
Wierdest thing. For some reason Safari won't browse or connect to the internet anymore. When I open Safari the default address is in URL bar, but with highlighted (words only) in blue and it just sits there all day. I can't connect to any web site on the net.
However, if I open Firefox all is fine and my Mail is all fine also.
I've repaired permissions a few times and even trashed the preferences for Safari, restarted computer etc, but it still refuses to actually display anything. I get a blank white page, then after about 2 minutes it simply says "Safari can't open the page. Because the server stopped responding".
As I said, no problem with Firefox.
Any ideas.I thank you for getting me into the right ball-park otherwise I would not have spotted it.
You're welcome. Glad I could help.

I am back in my apartment at school and they replaced the cable with just another one, almost the same thing, but the problem is that when i connect the cable straight to my CPU it works fine, but when i plug the cable into my airport express it just blinks amber and it shows the connection and even says i am connected but it won't connect to the internet, please help me. my brother will be here tomorrow and i need to get this wireless setup. thanks so much for the help.
Connect the modem to your Airport Express. Then pull power to both for at least five minutes. Then plug power into the modem and wait a minute. Then plug power into the Airport Express and wait a minute. Then try internet access again.

I have spent far too much time on this new Ipod touch. my son has a 1st generation i touch and asked for a 4th generation 64 for his birthday today. I got it for him last week. got it all set up after HOURS of time with apple and bestbuy. now that I gave it to him- there is another problem!! IT WON'T CONNECT TO SAFARI OR ITUNES OR ITUNES STORE!!! The ipod he had previously is connecting to both just fine, as well as our pc. please help me.
before you answer I have tried restore.Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indiacte a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Airport used to work fine, but won't connect to internet now
Hello. I bought my Macbook pro about two weeks ago and never had problems with my internet connection. I moved last week to another city, and had my wi-fi installed today. My brother has a Powerbook G4 and it worked fine with the new connection, but my Mac won't; it won't connect automatically when I turn the computer on and when I click on "open network preferences", nothing happens. I already got connected by clicking on Network Diagnostic in Safari, but i'd like to do so without going through all that everytime I need to get on the internet.
Can anybody help me to fix this problem? I'd really appreciate that. Thanks in advance.Tell us about your network. How are you connected to the internet? Cable modem, DSL?... Is there a router involved? Which one is it? System Preferences>Network>Show:Airport>TCP/IP are you getting an IP address?

My daughter's iPod won't connect to internet.
Sorry I know many people have probably asked this, but I still don't get it! I really don't know what to put in the VPN section and it is very confusing. I know that the pssword we're entering is correct because we've entered it so many times now, I know it by heart! Also, it won't connect to the open network. We have tried the whole turn off wifi, turn off iPod and any others we could find, but we still can't connect. Please help! I have schoolwork so she can't use the computer to play games. It makes me feel bad because she just got it for Christmas and this just happened out of the blue. She said she turned it on one day and it just wouldn't connect to the internet. The day before, she said, all she did was play a game, that doesn't need wifi, and has had since when she first got it. This is aggrivating!

Safari won't connect to internet
Hi, Safari on Ipad will not connect to my wi-fi. My wi-fi works fine with Galaxy phone and Gateway computer. I noticed that next to the wi-fi name there is a little swirly thing that keeps spinning like it is trying to update. I have rebooted Ipad several times and also my wi-fi. Help!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Sql developer won't connect to internet to check for updates
Hi all,
When I try to check the latest updates, Sql Developer (2.1.0.63) says it can't access to Internet in order to search for updates.
The credentials that I gave are correct (proxy, port, username, password) : when I click on the "Test Proxy" button, it says everything is OK.
But when I click on the "OK" button, it won't connect.
Then I click on the "Cancel" button, and check the details and get the following stack trace:

IPad air won't connect to internet
new air, 128 gb. Unusable. Won't connect to wif with consistencyi. Won't load on new mail unless I power off first. Even then, it takes forever despite ultra high speed connection. (old iPad works fine). Can't navigate to links from sites or between pages, will say "server not responding. Can't even move within pages of a site.
what do I do? 900$ down the drain?
gail hillYou do know it comes with a 1 year warranty, right?
Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
If that doesn't work you can try a Restore from your Backup and then Restore as new if that fails. And if none of that works use your warranty and get it serviced. -
ITunes won't connect to internet
I can't access the iTunes Store, Internet Radio, or download missing album art. This was a problem I had in iTunes 6 as well, I figured iTunes 7 would fix it. No go.
Under Help > Run Diagnostics, it confirms that I'm connected to the internet, but the store won't connect. I searched but found nothing that helped.
Then I figured maybe it's my college campus internet blocking, but that isn't it because all of my flatmates can access the store no problem.
Thanks for helping!
