Satellite 1130-Z24,system has stopped working altogether

Hi
My system has stopped working altogether, since it was dropped, only from a small distance though. When connected to AC power, the light work, so I suspect power is getting to it, and I suspect I have damaged either the motherboard or power supply, but I am hoping something simple. Has anybody any manuals showing how to dismantle the satellite 1130, or any other suggestions.

Unfortunately there is no official document how to disassemble/assemble your Satellite. In my opinion the best solution is to contact service partner in your country.
I am pretty sure that they can help you. Who knows which hardware part is damaged.

Satellite P300: Display Driver has stopped working using external monitor

I have a number of these Satellite P300 PSPCCA-OC201Y and recently bought external monitors for them.
Since then we seem to be getting "Display Driver has stopped working and has recovered" messages, then after about 5 of these, it crashes.
Starting with one machine, I have updated display drivers, bios was current, all to no avail.
I then did a complete system restore back to original. Has not solved the problem.
Any ideas?

as you said you restored the system and still there is no way to get things work it may be a hardware issue...
i my opinion you should consult a servicepartner to check this out...
is there any of the machines working with the external monitor at all?
if none of them is able to connect to ext. display maybe your installation has a problem or the monitor is faulty...
try it with another monitor and recover one system to factory installation....

Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation

I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.

I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled.

Satellite Pro L500 - Webcam has stopped working

The built-in Web Camera on my Satellite Pro L500 has stopped working with the following message:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Toshiba Web Camera Application\TWebCamera.exe
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.
The Event log points to microsoft.vc80.openMP.......
Could someone please tell me how to fix the web Camera. I very rarely use it so I do not know exactly when it stopped working.

Yes, I did think @ re-installing the driver but wanted to see what others think about it as I am quite new to Toshiba and was not sure if I could selectively install applications from recovery DVDs.
Removing the old driver and re-installing the one downloaded from TOSH has solved the problem During the re-install, I noticed it re-install MS Visual C++2005 redistributable. THIS IS THE culprit. This litttle bit of software comes bundled with many apps and I guess this was got installed with one of the new apps that I installed recently and must have messed up the original settings.

My Macbook wi-fi has stopped working completly. It was not a matter of the wi-fi being off and on but rather when it failed, it failed and never worked again.
Has anyone experienced this happening and what are the remeddies to the problem?

You should check if this is a hardware problem. In OS 10.9.2 you can do this:
Apple menu / About This Mac / More Info / Overview / System Report.
(note the details of this path are different in other versions of Mac OS X.)
Under Network in the left column, select Wi-fi. If your hardware has failed, the right side will say something to the effect of no device detected.
If the hardware has failed you will have to open the Macbook and replace the card - assuming your MB model allows that. If the hardware is detected, there are steps you can try, but they depend on details about your computer that you have not provided.
If you follow up with another post, please tell us what version of Mac OS X you are running, and the Model Identifier of the Macbook.

Satellite L770 - ethernet adapter has stopped working

I have three laptops all connectable to my home hub, but I seem to be having serious problems with the latest model, the L770-13D. The signal strength has never been as good as the older models and just recently the Ethernet adapter has stopped working. I've updated drivers on both adapters but it hasn't made any difference. I've just recently upgraded my connection and I'm wondering whether the Ethernet adapter is not correctly configured since it was working alright prior to the upgrade.
I've also tried just about every test that I can do - The Toshiba config doctor returned a FAIL on the hardware check I did, but the device manager reports that both network adapters are working OK. Also, the troubleshooting of the wireless adapter reports that there 'may be a problem' The evidence seems to be pointing towards a hardware problem with this laptop.
Any thoughts?

No I haven't tried that probably because I wouldn't know how to do it. I have a full recovery image on the data drive but I'm not comfortable with making any changes to the OS in case I mess things up. I've also got a recovery flash drive. Really, I'm out of my depth when it comes to making these sort of changes - I just thought that there may be something very simple that I'd overlooked. The machine is still under warranty, so I'll probably take it to a local computer specialist for diagnosis before involving Toshiba. If it's more than a software problem, they should earn their fees by repairing it. If you involve them and it isn't a hardware problem, they will bill you for about 80 plus carriage, so I'm naturally reluctant to do that. Also, you have to hang about waiting for delivery and collection. It may better to buy a USB/LAN adapter for about 20. Thanks for reply, anyhow.

Satellite C series - Touchpad has stopped working running Windows 8

My touchpad has stopped working.
At first it would only work on the login page. Now its not there at all.
I have only had my Toshiba C for a few days and its the first time I have used Windows 8.
I have tried F5 and I have tried going onto BIOS using F2 when booting but that wont come up.

Satellite A200 - Flash drive has stopped working

I can't get my flash drive to work anymore. I had to uninstall it a while ago because people were filling up my computer with pictures and the only way that I thought that I could get them to stop was to uninstall the flash drive, well now that I want to use the drive I cant get it to work, pretty screwed up, huh.
Since then the person that was using my computer that was filling it up has bought their own computer so they won't be using mine anymore. I need to get my flash drive installed again.

Labview 10.0.1 development system has stopped working

I am getting this cryptic message when trying to build an EXE in windows 7.
It happens right at the end of the build process when the application builder message says "saving main.vi" where "Main.vi" is the primary.
It forces labVIEW to close.
Anyone have any experience troubleshooting an error like this?

I am experiencing the same issue. I am no longer able to build the Host exe (i.e. an exe under the My Computer target) for a certain project. I am able to build the RT exe under 2 different cFP-2220 targets in the same project. I am also able to build the Host exe in different, but very similar projects. I can also build the exe from this exact same project on different computers that have the same installation of labview. Creating a new project allowed me to build the host when only the host part was in the project - when I added the RT target, it failed. Cleaning the old build and trying again (and again..) does not help.
I was using LabVIEW 2011 SP1, but I just upgraded to the f2 patch (which did not help). Here are the series of error messages I get:

LabVIEW 11.0 Development System has stopped working (happens every time I close manually)

Perhaps this issue is related to my computer only?
Does anyone else experience this when the manually close labview's "getting started" window?

I have not seen that problem before. But I would try to reinstall/repair LabVIEW via the control panel->programs and features.

Ipod has quit working altogether

Hello, I have had my 20 GB Apple Ipod Photo for about 2 years now, and finally today it has stopped working altogether. I have tried to remedy the solution by using the tips on Apple's site, but nothing appears to be working. The screen just sits there in that smug black screen as if it was off. My computer won't even recognize that I have the ipod connected anymore when I turn on itunes or when I try to do a factory restore through the ipod updater, while it is connected to my USB port. Are there any other ideas out there that may help besides you know, throwing it out of the car while driving down the highway? Thanks a lot!

I'll try that out anyway and see if I can bring it back to life. If not it's either buy a new one, or get a replacement battery I'm thinking. It's weird because I just charged it two days ago on my computer and then I left it sitting and came back to find it had bit the dust.

My keyboard has stopped working - please help!

For some reason, the keyboard on my Satellite 1000 series notebook has stopped working (I think someone may have spilled some liquid on it...). Device manager shows 'easy internet keyboard' and 'logitech HID-compliant keyboard' (one of which relates to a USB keyboard i have been forced to buy).
Any chance anyone knows what's happening and how I can get my keyboard working again? Maybe something to do with reinstalling drivers??

If someone has spilled some liquid there must be hardware malfunction and I assume that keyboard is defect now. Try to contact service partner and pick up some information how much the new keyboard costs. You can also a Google a little bit around and find which keyboard fit to your notebook model.
In my opinion you can exchange it alone.

Satellite A110-195 PSAB0E - sound card has stopped working

My sound card has stopped working it was working fine but suddenly the sound quality started to faint and finally it stopped working i have tried the following methods:
Realtek is default audio
Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device.( Didn't Worked)
Chipset Utility - install ( Did'n't Worked Aswell)
Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Component Services / a separate window will open in left pane click Services(Local) from the tree / Scroll down to Windows Audio service / if the service is Disabled or Manual right click > select Properties > under Startup Type change to Automatic > click Apply / click Start > OK Reboot. (Worked) But First The Quality Was Not As It Was Before And Then Sound Card Stopped Working Again.
Try a System File Check
go to Run - type "sfc /scannow" No Success.
I have installed windows again but no success. :(
