Hi
In my opinion you should check the unit if there is much dust inside and clean it properly that the unit can take a breath. As far as I know this unit has not the best graphic performance and you should maybe put down all graphic settings to low.
Like Debora said check which DirectX version is installed on your unit. It will be interesting to know if here is the same problem playing some other games with lower graphic request.

  • Which Mini-PCI card for Satellite 1130-Z31?

Can anyone tell me which Mini-PCI card would be compatible with a Satellite 1130-Z31 notebook? The system should use IEEE 802.11b.
    With thanks

    Hello
For your unit there is Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (2,4GHz, 802.11b) with PA3212U-1MPC part number compatible.
In the future if you need some information check http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com . Under Products > Options & Accessories you can find all you need.

  • Satellite 1130-Z31: Keyboard constantly prints "1"

I own a Satellite 1130-Z31 and have the problem that the "1" key is stuck. For example it constantly prints "1111111111..." ad infinity.
This is the result of a fluid spill which happened about 9 months ago. Up until yesterday the keyboard didn't have this problem though.
I'd like to either clean or exchange the keyboard (or its conductive foils) but need instructions on how to do it. Suppliers of replacement keyboards seem to be mainly in the US, hence I'd be happy if Toshiba has a spare part distributor in Sydney as well.
    Thank you for your help!
    Cheers,
    Jens

    Hi R2D2 and Andrej,
thanks for your help. By looking at guides of other Toshiba notebooks describing how to disassemble the keyboard I could figure out how to remove mine, that part's solved. All I need now is a (used, good idea!) keyboard.
Does anyone know where I can look up the correct part number? I contacted a US-based ASP but they were "unable to confirm a compatible parts listing for [my] machine". If they can't, who can? The full notebook number is PS113E-1Y13S-GR/S1130-Z31 (German model, but I don't mind a US keyboard since I'm in Australia).
    Cheers,
    Jens

  • Satellite 1130-Z31: Cannot get 1600x900 on second monitor

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1130-Z31 (old one, but still works well).
Now i have attached a second monitor with a native resolution of 1600x900 pixels.
I have set the resolution of the second monitor to 1600x900, this is accepted.
However, the image on the second monitor looks ugly, and the external monitors OSD says it gets 1440x900 pixel signals from the laptop.
It seems that the Toshiba sends an image with a lower resolution than set.
I have installed the latest graphics driver - no change.
Or could this be a problem with a poor quality VGA cable or so?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Turtle

    Hi
Unfortunately I was not able to find info which resolutions are supported for external displays but if you cannot get 1600x900 pixels that mean that this resolution is not supported by graphic card.
Which video port do you use? VGA 15 pin port maybe?

  • Satellite P100-347 (PSPA6E) - need Display Driver update

    Hi all
The display drivers on the driver download page hasn't been updated in ages,
and I would very much like to update to the latest nVidia drivers.
However, when I try and install drivers from www.nvidia.com, they keep referring me to Toshiba,
but the driver we have available from there is only version 8.4.0.0.
Anyone got any tips on how to work around that, and can someone tell me what changes Toshiba has made to the drivers since nVidia redirects you instead of simply updating the drivers.
The windows version that came with the laptop is Windows XP MCE
    Thanks in advance
    Jimmi

    Hi
    > Anyone got any tips on how to work around that, and can someone tell me what changes Toshiba has made to the drivers since nVidia redirects you instead of simply updating the drivers.
The point is that Toshiba own graphic drivers are not the same like the original graphic driver from the card manufacturers.
The Toshiba own drivers are modified and support an overheating protection which helps to protect the hardware from overheating.
Why? Because the notebooks are not equipped with huge cooling modules like desktop graphic cards and therefore the driver must control a part of the heat dissipation!!
As far as I know its possible to install the drivers from nVidia website using the advanced installation procedure. You can update the driver from device manager and could point to the place where the driver was downloaded.
But note; the usage of non Toshiba graphic driver is only at your own risk and its not covered by warranty!!!
    Cheers

  • Satellite 1130 can not install OS

I have a satellite 1130. It got dropped a few weeks back and then refused to work. I have obtained a new main board from E-Bay, but after installing, although the system now powers up, the BIOS is Japanese. Some of the keyboard controls do not work either, mainly the direction arrows, so I cannot go through the BIOS to see if I can change the language.
I have tried updating the BIOS, with a bootable CD, as the system has no floppy drive, but keep getting told invalid product ID. The system originally had Win XP, but I cannot get it to boot, because I presume its a new main board that the install of XP does not recognize. I cannot install XP, as I cannot change the boot sequence, it always tried to boot from the HDD, although if I take out the HDD, it will boot from my XP CD.
If I took the HDD out and formatted it in my desktop system, and then installed it black, would it try and boot from the CD, if it doesnt find a valid OS. If so will English copy of XP work, even if its a Japanese BIOS, and if I can get it to install, can I flash the BIOS to an English version through windows?
    Many Thanks
    Chris

    Hi
In my opinion this is only one way to solve this issue.
Unfortunately, you need the external FDD to update the BIOS.
After BIOS updating you can change the booting frequent.
Please check this Toshiba FAQ How to update the BIOS on this unit.

  • Satellite 1130-Z25 - missing recovery disk

    Hi all,
my Satellite laptop needs to have Windows XP Home repaired/reinstalled and I'm missing the recovery disk.
A friend used his recovery disk to reinstall WinXP but it doesn't accept my licence key.
Can anyone suggest what I should do next?

    Hi
Usually the serial key which could be found at the bottom of the unit does not work with the other Windows operating systems.
The key belongs to the OS which is a part of the Toshiba image
If you need an Recovery CD try to contact the ASP in your country to get a new compatible CD for you Satellite 1130-Z25.
But note; As far as I know if the notebook series is too old then you will be not able to order such CD due to some restrictions.
In such case you will need to buy an original Microsoft Windows OS to install it on the notebook.
Then you could use the Toshiba drivers from the Toshiba European driver page
    Check it out

  • How to open Satellite 1130 ?

    hello,
some milk has dropped into the rearpanel of my laptop satellite 1130.
till then, the laptop does not boot. After pressing the on-button, green light infront of the computer flashes for a moment and nothing happens.
now I need a manual to open it. Anybody here to help me ?
    regards
    rainer

    Hi
Well, it seems its an oldie because I dont found any informations or picture which could be useful.
But I think to open the notebook the keyboard removing is needed.
Usually the notebooks have a small, thin cover about the keyboard. Under this cover you should find 2 screws which secure the keyboard.
Additionally some screws secure the covers at the bottom of the unit.
But if you have no experience in such procedure try to ask someone with more experience or an technician.

  • Damaged Satellite 1130 screen

I'm in need a of a replacement screen for a Toshiba Satellite 1130.
The damaged one is a 15" Sharp LQ150X1LHA2.
Is the screen from a Satellite 1135-S1553 compatible?
    Thanks for any help
    Neil

    Hi
As far as I know 1135 must be an US model but the display should be the same. If you want call the service partner in your country to be sure about that.

I just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS6.  In the process, I ran into a problem and had to restore factory settings.  After syncing the phone, I see that 218 apps need to be updated. When selecting "update all," it says "Cannot Download.  There is not enough available local storage to download these items.  You can manage your local device storage usage in Settings."
How can this be the case when I haven't changed any apps from before updrading to iOS6, and I don't have any music yet on the phone?  Why is it telling me there is not enough local space?

    Hi RileyAvaCadenRiver,
If you recently updated your iPhone to iOS7, you will need to update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1 or newer for it to correctly recognize the iPhone. You may find the following link helpful:

  • My MacBook Pro stated that it needed to be updated. I clicked yes to restart the computer and update but when it restarted it stays on the gray screen with the apple logo and then pops up, stating "unable to find driver for this platform." What do I do?

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the Mac OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac didn’t ship with Lion, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
Don't install the Thunderbolt update -- it's defective.

  • Satellite 1130-Z24,system has stopped working altogether

    Hi
My system has stopped working altogether, since it was dropped, only from a small distance though. When connected to AC power, the light work, so I suspect power is getting to it, and I suspect I have damaged either the motherboard or power supply, but I am hoping something simple. Has anybody any manuals showing how to dismantle the satellite 1130, or any other suggestions.
    Kind Rgrds
    Chris

    Hello Chris
Unfortunately there is no official document how to disassemble/assemble your Satellite. In my opinion the best solution is to contact service partner in your country.
I am pretty sure that they can help you. Who knows which hardware part is damaged.
    Good luck!

My iPad 2 shows I have 7 apps that need to be updated and when I go into my App Store it won't pull up anything for my updates how can I fix this????

It seems Apple is having some issues at their end. There have been hundreds of posts on the forum with the same problem.

  • TS1702 Fitness HD for the iPad is no longer supported and it keeps saying that it needs to be updated in the badge on my app icon store. Apparently, it was bought by another company and now that company wants to charge me 2.99 to update my app. I

About a year ago, I purchased FItness Hd for the iPad. Yesterday, it showed up in the app badge as needing to be updated. I clicked it and now it keeps telling me that this app is no longer available for purchase. When I look into the app store, the same app is now for sale 2.99 under a different company. I have tried to delete and reinstall the app thinking it will clear out the badge on the app icon stating that I have one update. This is frustrating. Somehow, this company was sold and my old app/software is causing a conflict with the App store. Help???

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, my query is not so much about the sale of the company and the dream. I agree with you on that point. Good for them. My frustration is that this old app has now caused a glitch in my Apple App Store icon. I have a red badge with one update and it is referring to the old app that has been sold that needs to be updated. When I try to update the app it says no longer available for purchase. So I have since deleted that app in hopes that it would resolve the red badge issue. It has not. Somehow, that old app and the new app with the same name but by a different company has caused the glitch. I have reset all settings on my iPad, I have rebooted, I have deleted the app and still the red badge with the one update for the old app is there. Hmmm. . . I guess I need to take this into the Genius bar or wait for ios 7 in hopes that it will fix the glitch. Thanks again for your help.
