Satellite A100-510 PSAA2E cannot boot up - nothing on the screen

Hello,
I've had this Satellite A100-510 (PSAA2E) since May 2006.
2 weeks ago, when I tried to turn it on the fans started spinning and the leds lighted up and after around 2 seconds it reboots without ever showing anything on the screen.
There are no beeps or anything also.
I've tried pretty much everything: removing the hard drive, wireless card, screen, dvd drive, switching the RAM between slots...
It didn't make any difference though.
So I'm guessing either it is a memory problem or the motherboard is dead, what do you think?

Yes, the mentioned parts could cause such issue
But this would be the worst case and you would need to contact the Toshiba ASP for further details
Before you would get in contact with ASP, I recommend trying this:
- remove the battery, disconnect the AC adaptor.
- Wait 30-60min
- Connect both parts and try to power up the notebook
Maybe if this short workaround would help you

i have a laptop Toshiba SATELLITE A100-528 PSAA2E-01H00WGE....
the problem is that i downloaded toshiba HW setup and i accidentaly set a password..
.not a user password....it's propably supervisor password or bios password...
.the thing is that i don't know what the password is...i boot up my pc and it don't let me get in windows if i don't type the password.....is there any way to remove the password ??
it does not let me either boot from a cd or usb....i press F12 in order to choose to boot from cd or usb but it's still asks for the unknown password....is there any solution ??

Thats weird because the BIOS or Supervisor password can be reset only by an authorized service provider.
The BIOS password is a high security option which cannot be reset easily.
So ONLY ASP can remove a UNKNOWN password.

iPhones that use the ARM chips (2g + 3g) are VERY slow to boot. Sometimes in excess of 1 minute 30 seconds (personal experiece). Assuming the device is not JB or has anything wanted on it, such as photos, do a DFU Restore. To cut it short, it basically forces itunes to give it the latest ios (4.something I think). Otherwise, personally I would wait

PLug it into yrou computer to sync/back it up.
Is it set to back up to iCloud now?
Or do you have wifi backup enabled in iTunes?
Plug it in while on wifi and it will automatically back up.

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Quit the mail app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Im trying to restore it but nothings happening on my ipod got the apple sign on the screen and the bar going across but its emtyand theres nothing loading, itunes also says waiting for ipod. Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Instead of trying to restore through iTunes, use the Find My iPhone to your advantage.
Either go to www.icloud.com and perform a remote wipe of the device via FMiP, or download the FMiP app to another iOS device and do it from there.
A remote wipe will also restore the device back to factory settings.
