Satellite A100-590 - cannot install Display Driver for Win7

I installed Win7 on my Satellite A100-590 (PSAA9E-03Z00QGR) today. Everything works fine exept for the display drivers.
I downloaded the win7/32bit drivers from here: [here|http://at.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=AT&BV_UseBVCook ie=yes&PRODUCT_ID=115970] But when I try to install them, the files extract and then nothing happens.
Anybody else have this problem or even better a solution? will any other drivers work on that laptop?
edit: graphic card is a ATI Mobility Radeon X1600

Extract the files into some new created folder. Open it and use setup.exe.
What happen when you start it manually using setup.exe?
You can also try to start setup in folder Bin.

  • Satellite A40-151: Cannot install display driver from Intel site

Trying to update display driver on the A40-151. Have downloaded latest driver from Intel which very helpfully states 'You cannot install this driver, please contact your vendor' no more clues.
Toshiba site only seems to have the 6.13.10.3514 version which is the same as that which came with machine. Am I therefore stuck with no possible upgrades?
The current driver seems not to be 100% compatible with Directx 9.0c * Sigh *

    Hi
What Intel graphic card was installed on your notebook?
Is it a Intel 852GME 16MB-64MB shared memory graphic card???
I have found nice information on the Intel page and it seems that the graphic card hardware does not support the DirectX9 but only the DirextX7 and DirecttX8
The graphic driver from the Intel page will not help you.
Firstly you will be not able to install it because its not designed for the Toshiba notebook usage and secondly the hardware does not support it.
But I give you one tip if you search for a earlier driver version.
Some notebooks use the same graphic cards. Try to search for the driver in different notebook series with the same graphic card .
But the new installation will nothing change. The DirectX 9 API is not supported

  • Satellite C850-19Z - cannot install display driver

    Hi
    I have had to reinstall my Toshiba Satellite C850 - 19Z ----- PSCBWE - 02400NEN
with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
    The laptop uses Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B830 @ 1.80GHz 1.80 GHz processor
Everything has installed fine apart from the display driver.
I downloaded the following file as my laptop is using an Intel Processor
    Intel Display Driver
    Version 8.15.10.2752
    display-20130924153144.zip4
    For model Satellite C850
I found the file using the following drop down options on the Toshia website
Satellite C850 PSCBWE Windows 7 64 Bit Display Driver United Kingdom English
When I try to install the file I get the following error message:
This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
I have checked the requirements in the readme file. The three requirements are:
    1.
    3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processors
    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 processor
    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 processor
    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 vPro(TM) processor
    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 processor
    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 vPro(TM) processor
I am not sure which generation my processor belongs to but i'm assuming it is one of the above since this is the driver for my specific laptop.
    2. The software should be installed on systems with at
least 1 GB of system memory.
I have 4 GB of RAM and my system is showing 4 GB is installed.
    3. There should be sufficient hard disk space in the <TEMP>
directory on the system in order to install this
    software.
I have 270 GB of free space in my primary hard drive / partition which windows is installed into. The file defaults to extract in this hard drive / partition.
I cannot figure out what the problem is with this installation.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks

    Hi
As you said, the notebook was equipped with the Intel Celeron processor B830
This CPU supports the Intel HD graphic chip as mentioned on the Intel ARK page:
    http://ark.intel.com/de/products/71141
The driver can be downloaded also from Intel page:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
    Here choose:
    -Graphics drivers
    -Laptop graphics drivers
-Intel Celeron Processors with Intel HD graphics
Here you can download an zip package.
Then you will be able to update or install the driver within the device manager.
You can use the Advanced installation which will help you to point to the unzipped driver folder

  • Cannot install LAN driver for my "KT6 Delta Series" motherboard

I've got this motherboard (KT6 Delta Series). Bought it second hand recently and I haven't got the original MSI driver CD. I downloaded all the drivers from the MSI website (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_detail.php?UID=474&kind=1) but I'm not able to install the driver for my onboard LAN.
I just get a yellow dot on the ethernet controller under unknown devices in my device manager. When I try to update driver from device manager by searching the folder where I unzipped the driver, I just get a message saying something like "no driver could be found for this device in the selected folder... will you connect to Windows Update to search for a driver...?". I've also tried to install it the hard way by selecting "from floppy disc" and browse for the "b44win.inf" file inside the "WinXP" folder in the unzipped driver folder... but I stilll get an error message... saying something like "can't find any information of the hardware in the selected folder"... it's a bit difficult for me to describe the messages correctley because not English Windows version.
I've downloaded both LAN drivers for this card from MSI download site (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/driver/dvr/spt_dvr_detail.php?UID=474&kind=1). Both "Broadcom 5788 LAN Drivers" and "Broadcom 4401 LAN Drivers" and non of them will install on my system. I've also tried downloading from the Broadcom website (http://www.broadcom.com/drivers/downloaddrivers.php). NON of them will install (
I've just formated my harddrive with fresh Windows XP install... The only software already installed is drivers for my motherboard and AGP card. No other software that can make any conflicts. When I connect a network cable to the onboard LAN the yellow light goes on so it seems the card itself is working.... but where can I get a driver that will install???
I've also tried connecting another network card (realtek 10/100) and connected my ADSL internett through it... and used the MSI Live Update utility... but still no luck... the only network driver it gets is the one for my reltek card :-(
    Any suggestions???
I use Windows XP Professional SP2. How do I install the drivers for my onboard LAN???
    Best regard.

"...so my onboard Broadcom 4401/5788 controller thinks it is a 3COM controller instead of a broadcom controller..." Think it shouldn't be possible since basic data should be written in a kind of ROM.  Now, if that could happen, it should be possible to reverse it the same way you did to overwrite that data.
I belive you are right... but I can't reverse it the same way I did when overwrite the data... because I'm not able to install the driver :( I cannot install the driver at all in Windows XP. In Windows ME it's possible to force the installation of the driver... but it does not work. It moves from unknown devices to network controllers... but it gets a yellow dot... and is not working. Every time I boot Windows ME I get a message reporting that something is wrong with the broadcom ethernet controller :(
I belive the only way I can reverse it is to replace my harddrive with another... with Windows XP and drivers for my card is already installed on the harddrive... the same way as I did when overwriting the rom file(s) with data from my Asus board... but I can't make such a harddrive when the drivers won't install on my card :(
I maybe think this also has happend to the onboard Audio controller... and maybe the chipsett also :( The audio controller works perfectley eith the MSI C-Media drivers... but when I run MSI live update... I get drivers for the C-Media device... but also drivers for "VIA AC97" audio controller can be downloaded from the MSI Live Update Utility... The "VIA AC97" is the audio controller on my Asus board... so I belive it has happened here also... and maybe also to the "VIA 4in1" chipset... but this is the same "VIA KT600" chipset as on my Asus board. When updating my Via 4in1 driver, I just get an option to update the inf file. But normaly on "Via 4in1" drivers on other boards I know, there shold be installed drivers for PCI, IDE and AGP. Is it the same way for you guys with this motherboard? Is it only the "Inf file" to update for you guys also?
What I think is most frustrating here is that things like this cab happen. This can happen to everybody. Many times I've switched harddrive from one computer to another... and I've never experienced anything like this before. This time I was not planing to boot the harddrive at all... just format it... but forgot to set the right boot order... so the harddrive booten... and that's all it takes to "destroy" my board. Shouldn't these ROM files be a littlebit more difficult to overwrite, you think? Why doesn't MSI writeprotect their ROM files or anything... to make them a littlebit more difficult to destroy...?
Well... I'm still interested in advices on how to "restore" my motherboard data to the original values... and remember... clear CMOS and update BIOS is not enough :(

  • Satellite A100 (PSAA9E) - Can't install display driver for Windows 7

I have a problem with installing official Toshiba Windows 7 x32 ATI x1600 driver.
After unpacking it should install.exe be executed, I believe, but it's not; nothing happens. Going to Setup.exe with manual install, then I don't see Catalyst Control Center & Display Driver in the list, just Catalyst install Manager & vcredist. After installation these components (CCC & DD) are not present.
    Any ideas?
P.S. Same problem with official Toshiba Vista32 ATI x1600 driver.

    Hi mate,
Have you already installed other drivers for the notebook? I mean the chipset driver, this driver must be installed first.
And are you sure that you have ATI display driver? Some Satellite A100 models were delivered with nVidia graphic card as far as I know.
By the way, what happens if you install the driver manual in device manager via advanced installation?

  • Satellite L10-209 - How to install display driver for Windows 7?

I've formatted my *Satellite L10-209* and installed *Windows 7*. All drivers installed well but the *VideoCard* :xD
How do I install the Display Driver (Video Card)?
Tools & Utilities CD doesn't work with Win7,,

    Hi
Im wondering that you installed Windows 7 on this oldie. In my opinion Windows XP would be the better choice but ok, you can do what you want ;)
Anyway, as far as I know your notebook is equipped with an Intel graphic card so I would recommend downloading the driver form Intel directly because the Toshiba website shows only Windows XP display drivers.

  • Cannot install Display Driver on Satellite L500D-14W

    Hey,
I have a big problem with the Display Driver. I reinstalled the Windows now i cant install the Toshiba or any other modified driver. I cant use the old Display resolution 1366x768, only 1024x768.
Windows Device Manager shows only Standard VGA Graphic Card
I tried so many ways to fix this problem.

    Hi
If you are using Win 7 then it should not be a big problem to get the right driver for this unit I installed Win 7 on my notebook and Win 7 was able to pick up the driver automatically.
Go to device manager and select the graphic card. Now choose driver update and lets Win 7 searching for the driver automatically
    Usually this should work
By the way: Toshiba European driver page provides Win XP and Win 7 drivers for this notebook model L500D PSLT6E

  • Satellite A100-599 - question about display driver update

    Hi,
I have a Satellite A100-599 with a NVIDIA 7600go graphic card and I have Bioshock like most of you the game crashes because of some problems with the graphic card drivers, no pb...in the meantime NVIDIA released some new patches to the Forceware and after I rechecked the Toshiba driver support database I saw a new release in the Display driver list for WinXp.
One of them seems to be from 13/09/2007. I downloaded the drivers, installed them and after I checked the driver details in the Device manager list and to my surprise the details said the drivers are from 2006. I reinstalled the drivers and the same thing appeared. I checked the XML that was in the drivers archive and surprise ...the drivers are really the old ones from 2006. So my question is this: Do you have any Display Drivers for my model that work for Bioshock :D
    Regards,Marian

I dont know if WE have. I think it would be took some long time to ask every single user: hey, do you have some drivers for blackmodjo? Ah, come on, please. Just a little bit of them... ;)
No, I have a better idea. Its like cooking a meal. The ingredients: DriverCleaner Pro and the website www.laptopvideo2go.com and .... ta ta ta TAAAA a lot of patience
To get some good "bio"shocked meal just follow this receipt:
    Go to
    http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
read before you do anything (YES, even before you continue BREATHING) the FAQ-section on that site (RECOMMENDEDRECOMMENDEDRECOMMENDED)
and then download the drivers. Do it, yes...
Then download drivercleaner by searching for it on www.google.com and THEN, read their Manual before doing anything else (Ok, you can continue breathing..)
After reading their manual you will something like:
    1. Starting program, doing something, restarting machine
    2. starting in safe mode, starting that program, removing..yadayadayada
    3. Installing new driver
    3. Playing Bioshock
    4...
5..no..6. Thanking me and giving me your first born.. ;)
So, by cutting away around 40% of my humoristic stuff and following the constructive technical instructions from me you will be able to play bioshock.
    Greets :)

  • Satellite A100-768 - need video card driver for Win 8

    Hi everybody,
I cannot find any driver suitable for my Satellite A100-768 where I just installed Win8, my graphic card should be Ati x1400 but nothing work even with Ati and/or toshiba drivers.
    Please help me!

    Hi
The old Satellite A100-768 isnt Win 8 supported notebook model.
The notebook was equipped with an ATI X1600 (code: M54P 128MB DDR RAM)graphic chip.
I dont think that ATI has developed an Win 8 compatible driver for this old graphic chip.
In my opinion you can use only an standard graphic driver which is part of Win 8 system

  • Satellite Pro M30 - cannot install sound driver

    Hi
I have a Satellite Pro M30 which usaed to work fine but I can no longer install sound card drivers on it.
I THINK it has happened since we reinstalled windows XP Pro with SP2 but can not be certain.
It is trying to install the Sigmatel AVC97 drivers and comes up with the following error.
Invalid operating system parameter or this installer does not support this operating system
Any suggestions as there seems to be only one sound driver for the SPM30 family.

Nobody here have got a problems with sound driver installation just you
So is this not strange for you???
Either you did something wrong or its your windows XP issue.
Please note that the Toshiba driver page provides also the Installation Instructions
There you can find the right installation order!
Install your OS again and follow this instruction in this doc!

  • Satellite A300 - Can't install display driver

So I formatted my laptop (A300 PSAGCA-0C301N) two nights ago, and being the idiot I am I forgot to download and backup the necessary drivers for my laptop.
So when I first started the laptop on a fresh installation of Windows Vista 32-bit on a freshly formatted HDD, my resolution was 1024x768. However, the full standard resolution for this laptop is actually 1280x768 along those lines, however when I went to "Personalize" the max resolution I was allowed to have was 1024x768.
So I went to this site http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/...download?os=15 and downloaded the Wireless Lan/Wired Lan drivers, the Intel Chipset drivers, the Audio Driver and ATI M82XT,M86 Display Driver.
However, once I downloaded and began to install the ATi driver, I got three error messages right after extraction; the first box saying:"Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize Detection Manager"
Right after the first box, I get another error box saying "Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize"
and then a third box saying "Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize Package Manager".
    After the third box, it proceeds to installation, however after accepting the User's Agreement I get these error boxes;
"Catalyst Install Manager failed to initialize"
"Failed to find any installable components!"
and then the install screen proceeds to say "Failures occured during installation".
I am running Windows Vista 32 bit and using the Super Administrator account, so UAC is non existent.
Help please? I'm sick of being stuck at 1024x768.
BTW my GPU is an ATi HD3450.

    Hi Kabura,
What happens if you install the display driver manual via device manager and advanced installation option where you can choose the driver and directory yourself?
    Does it work?
I had a similar problem and this worked for me
By the way: You should also install latest Service Pack for Vista. Check the Microsoft page for an update.
Last but not least you dont post an installation order. In which order you installed the drivers? Generally speaking the chipset driver should be installed firstly, then the display driver.
