Satellite A130 -ST1311 PSRD6U - How to delete BIOS password

Toshiba Satellite A130 -ST1311 PSRD6U-01500JB
English with translator:
When enabling: Enter Password [ ]
I did not put password on bios.
My computer has a proprietary information. Now I must send my laptop in service centre?
If problem with Flash BIOS, must be a decision.
I have got inconvenience!
I have done wrong buying?

You should not be so skeptic about service work. Go to the service. They can remove HDD in front of you and take notebook in service without any data.
For password removing HDD must not be inside.
Just say them what you want and I believe there will not be any problem. ;)
Just be cool. The customer is the king! Isnt it?

I have a toshiba satellite a130-st1311. i have had problems with this computer since i have had it, but now the sound has disappeared.  i have tried uninstalling it and updating the drivers and i have tired to do a system restore, but it doesnt go past the day before. so i might just have **bleep**ed up computer who knows.  it could have sumthing to do with the service pack installing because thats when i started having problems. does anyone have any help.  my warrenty is up and im a broke college student so i dont have the money to pay the stupid toshiba ppl money to tell me what is wrong with my computer.  this computer was a gift....i didnt have any say in what kind of computer i was getting....and i would never suggest anyone to buy a toshiba thats how many problems i have had with this computer.
please help and thank you for the help!

The often overlooked volume-control dial is in the middle of the front on your Satellite A130-ST1311. If you scroll down on the specifications, you'll see pictures.

  • How to disable BIOS password on Satellite Pro A120?

Is it possible to disable BIOS password on Pro A120 laptop?
I know the password, but I can't delete it. I tried both through Password Utility on Windows and through BIOS, and in both I can change the password, but not disable it (i get DELETION DENIED message).
    Thanks in advance.

Hi there Majkel and all others,
This forum gui is difficult to use/understand so apologies for my naivety.
This is a strange situation so hopefully someone can help!
Recently I found a Toshiba A120 satellite pro in a rubbish bin.
I cant stand the idea of goog tech going to waste so I pick it out and dusted it off hoping that I could get it
    working again.
However even though when I got it home and it powered up oh joy, my glee was indeed short lived by
    one single word, thats right
    "password="
I tried reading the sata hard drive on a separate usb to see if I could find out whose it was and contact them.
    Hard drive dead.
I tried knocking on all the doors near where I found it to find the owner and try and get the password from them.(fingers crossed someone may be able to help?)
I tried my nearest laptop repair shop he quoted 100 for soldering in a new bios chip which sounded expensive and suspiciously like it wouldnt work.
I'm willing to send it into toshiba if I have to but I would really like to find a way to contact the original owner
and simply ASK THEM what the password is, I would even pay them to find out if I had to.
The only info I have is the serial number which is- s/n- 76041309h or the longer number on the bottom which is- i76041309hssac0007009ENB
If there is any way to get hold of the original owner and ask them it would be a godsend!
Thank you to anyone who can help!
    Luke ;-)

  • Portege Z830 - Changing/deleting Bios password

When I started up my new Portege Z830, I was given the option during set up, of putting in a bios password.
I did so, but am now regretting it, as I have to put in two passwords, the bios and windows, before can start doing anything. As I don't need the bios one, how do I get into the system to change or delete it, now that I don't have access to the set up screens?
    Thanks

You can delete it in BIOS options directly or using Toshiba tool in Windows Supervisor password utility.
I recommend you to perform complete shutdown and then after notebook restart enter BIOS settings and delete it there.

  • How to delete saved passwords in SQL Developer User Profiles

    Hi
Can anyone advise on how to delete (or flush-out) saved passwords in SQL developer connections? I have a serious security concern about saved passwords at user level and need a quick method to remove them from the backend without actual user's intervention.
An early response is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    UJ

I have a serious security concern about saved passwords at user levelIf you could share more about your concerns, it might help us address or alleviate said concerns. Basically if your user's desktops are secure, then so are the passwords.
To delete them w/o user intervention you would need to delete their connections by removing the file(s) from their installs. To prevent the problem from happening again, you'd need to put down a new sqldeveloper.conf file in their bin directory that would keep them from saving passwords - example here

Use the unlock code you generated to enter the BIOS

  • How to delete a password-protected folder?

If I use disk utility to create a password-protected folder (disk image) on my Mac, could someone else easily drag that folder to the trash and delete it?
Or do you need the password to delete a password-protected folder?

The password only keeps them from opening the folder without the password. If they have access to the account, then they have the same abilities as you to install or delete files or folders.
If you don't want someone messing with your data, then they should have their own account on the computer and log out of yours when your done. You can create an account each of the other family members, or create one account for the rest of the family to use and one for you. That way you can restrict what they can and can't do on the computer such as installing applications, etc.

  • How to remove BIOS password on Elitebook 8770w?

Hello!I want to update BIOS on my Elitebook 8770w . However, the computer was locked withadministration password for BIOS and i could not remember this password. So can someone please help me to remove this password or anyway to update BIOS without it?

Dear Customer, Welcome to HP Support Forum and we are glad to assist you. This is to inform you that all HP Business Notebooks such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models infact they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial Number and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case. Please have a look at this link. http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/49497-HP-Probook-Elitebook-BIOS-Password-Reset-Utility  Please Contact HP Business Notebook support they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.  Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again

  • How to reset bios password for laptop( HP pavillion zd8060, pr315ua)

I need to reset the bios password for my HP Pavilion Zd8060USA, Part #: PR315UA.
    Systm Disabled Code:00293 0r 02993

    Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01383095.pdf
Please read the instructions to clear the password in Chapter 1, section 1.2, page 1-4.
Wait 30 minutes, not 5. Five minutes is not enough time to drain the current in most cases.

Use that code to go into the BIOS.
Disable all passwords that are enabled.
If asked for the CURRENT password use that code.
If asked for NEW password just hit enter.
If asked to VERIFY password just hit enter.
    Save and exit.

  • Satellite L670-134 How to delete Supervisor password?

Hey, i have an epic problem.
I was with some friends in a w-lan net and then some Trojan were placed to every of our Laptops. Now he took my administrator rights and set an Supervisor Password.
Now i cant use my Laptop anymore.
Can u help me pls fast ?

You know what supervisor password is?
The supervisor password is only to secure Bios settings and Hardware setup.
Mostly set by an administrator so a user can't change Bios settings.
The user may start and shut down the notebook however he wants and he is able to work with the machine normally - he just needs the supervisor password to enter the Bios or Hardware setup.
So its kind of security and if you dont know this password, you can not delete this
In such case you have to contact the Toshiba ASP in order to remove this ;(
