Hi
The first error message does not say anything; it says only that something is wrong on the HDD.
Why you dont pres the button Dont ask me about this problem again??
Does the message appear again using this option???
On the second picture I can see that your Intel Matrix Storage Manager has not been installed on you Vista 64bit OS.
On the Toshiba European driver page you will find the Vista 64bit drivers. Please download the Intel Robson Package from this website and install it. The Robson Package includes the Intel Matrix Storage Management Utility for managing your local storage.
Check it!

    Hi Konyga,
If you already get a warning about internal HDD before Windows starts I would recommend exchanging it and backup all data as fast as possible.
Is your notebook still under warranty?
If yes you can get a new HDD from an authorized service provider. This would be for free because its covered by warranty. Everything what you have to do is contacting an ASP.

  • Satellite A200-1GM - (PSAECE) - keyboard has stoped working

    Hi
I have a problem. During first time turn on my laptop, keyboard in my laptop didn't response (does means any keys reSpons when I press them). When I swtiched exteral USB keyboard, laptop keyboard working.
I have the newest version of bios and drivers. My currents operating system is Windows xp.
    Please help
    Krzysiek

    >When I switched external USB keyboard, laptop keyboard working.
This means that keyboard controller is OK and the issue seems to be related to the internal keyboard. Faulty internal keyboard needs to be replaced to resolve your problem.
    Are you from Poland?
I guess you could get a new keyboard from Toshiba authorized service provider who is available in Poland. Also a common keyboard (84 keys) should be compatible.

My bios is 23/10/07 Windows Vista 32 Bit 1.80-WIN

But I checked the page and the BIOS 1.8 for Win Vista 32bit is still the newest one.
Seems you are already up to date buddy ;)

  • Satellite A200-1vp with Vista - CD/DVD drive failure code 39

    Hi,
I have been burning and watching DVDs on my Satellite A200-1vp, with vista, since February, the last time I burned anything was a couple of weeks ago.
Suddenly there's a problem, no response when I load a disc and my divx player tells me no recorder found.
When I search in the device manager I get the message " windows cannot load the driver for this hardware" (code 39) " driver is corrupted or missing".
I tried uninstalling it and using the Toshiba upper/lower limit filter repair tool but on restart it still failed to install.
Should i try the Toshiba Recovery Disc and loose a lot of unbacked up programs/files, as last resort?
    Would that work?
    Anybody got any ideas?

Here is an interesting Microsoft knowledge article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-us
You should firstly access the device manager and should remove the CD/DVD drive from the device list.
Then should access the registry and should remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Reboot the notebook and check if the CD/DVD drive would work again!

  • Blank screen & no booting after running BIOS update on Satellite A200-1AE

Here is my problem with my A200-1AE (PSAECE) Notebook:
I downloaded the latest BIOS update from the Toshiba download drivers library to install Win XP since finally the drivers are realized. (Note the update clearly stated to run ONLY if you want to install XP on you NB).
So I unzipped the file and after hitting the .exe file it started updating the BIOS on its own without me giving the liberty to do so. Half way the N/B froze for about 20 minutes and as I didnt know what else to do so I reset it.
Result? The NB does NOT boot. I press the power button, the Hard Drive icon flashes 2-3 times as well as the DVD drive, I get a blank screen and the power cord & power button icons constantly on. I removed the battery and the power cord for 48 hours hoping it will reset the BIOS on its own to no avail.
The BIOS battery is under the touchpad which means I have to disassemble the whole laptop and I am not ready to do so. I dont know if on the motherboard there are BIOS reset jumpers and I need someones help as to what I should do. I am starting to think that things where MUCH easier back to when I just had a desktop PC.
THERE must be something I can do other that taking it to the service center and pay half the value of the laptop in repairs.... PLS HELP Im desperate....

    Hi there,
first of all: a notebook is not a desktop and such mobile computer does not have jumpers like a deskop computer. They surely have something to delete the BIOS but I am not so sure IF resetting the BIOS could help you.
I guess you will have to send your machine to a service center for repair because in such cases you will have no other option. Do you have still warranty on this machine?

  • Update firmware on Satellite A200-1AE

    Hello.
I have an A200-1AE (PSAECE) and I want to update my firmware.
I can't remember how and when, but I uninstalled the Toshiba Disc Creator program which is needed for the update. So I can't find which of the two versions (TO02 or TO03) I should install.
Can you give me some help? Either telling me where to find the Toshiba Disc Creator program or if I could use something else to identify the firmware I should install.
    I am really confused

    Hi
Why you need the Toshiba Disc Creator for firmware update?
And why you want to update the CD/DVD drives firmware?
The TO02 firmware is designed for the TS-L632 CD/DVD drive and the TO03 firmware is designed for the TS-L632H.
Do you have one of these CD/DVD drives?
If not, then you cannot use these firmware updates!

  • Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio config

Please can someone help me? I've got a U300-13U laptop and have just installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying that "iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play properly" That's an understatement - it doesn't play at all!
I've uninstalled, reinstalled both iTunes and Quicktime but to no avail. I've searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but got nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can play CDs with no issues at all. The only suggestion that I can get is that there may be a problem with audio device not liking Apple and vice versa.
Does anyone have ANY idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play her music!!!
    Thanks ever so.

    Hello
I dont use iTunes so Im not an expert with this player but first of all you should give us some important informations:
    - What OS do you use?
    - Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba recovery disk) or your own Windows version
    - Do you have yellow exclamation marks in device manager?
Ok, iTunes told you that there is a audio configuration problem so did you try to update the sound driver? If not, you should try it.
Check the Toshiba website for an update and see what happens. Then post your result:

  • "itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration"  Now  Itunes doesn't work on my windows 7 machine.  What to do?

I have a Windows 7 system.  ITunes used to work fine.  Recently I am getting a message:
"ITunes has detected a problem with your audio configuation.  Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."
I have reloaded and repaired ITunes.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime.  Nothing works.
Itunes doesn't work any more on my machine.  Anybody?

    Hey there bogusss,
I would recommend the troubleshooting steps from this article named:
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot run because it detects an issue with QuickTime
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1371
If this issue occurs with iTunes 7.0.2 - 7.6, customers may instead see this error message:
"iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration"
If this occurs with iTunes 7.0 or 7.0.1, customers may instead see a -200 error when opening iTunes 7.
    Resolution
QuickTime may need to be reinstalled. Follow the steps below to uninstall QuickTime and then download and install QuickTime using the QuickTime standalone Installer.

    Hey MrCurwen,
I was able to find an article that included the same error message you're experiencing:

Please follow the steps below to uninstall QuickTime and then download and install QuickTime using the QuickTime standalone Installer.

  • ITunes has detected a problem with your configuration

I recently tried to use my iTune player and when I click the shortcut to open it, the following error message appears:  "iTunes has detected a problem with your configuration.  Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  The program shows up on my desktop, but when I select something to play, nothing happens.
I use Windows 7.  It did work previously, and I do not know of any specific change made to my computer that could have caused this.  I am not sure when it developed since I have not tried to use iTunes for a week or more.  I checked the community forum and there were similar problems 7 years ago, but could not find any solution (One link to a solution is not longer good.)

    Hello LouisvillePS
Start with the troubleshooting in the article below to resolve issues with start. You can use Safe Mode to start up to see if it still pops up as well as testing in a new user on your computer.

  • I just moved my itunes library from a win 7 computer to a win 8.1 computer. Getting an error message "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. Can't play CDs or get audio file from web!

Help! I just moved my itunes library from a Win 7 computer to a new Win 8.1 computer following the instructions on the itunes website. Everything is good except I'm getting an error message on the Win 8 computer if I try to play a CD or get an audio file off of the internet. I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. I don't know where to look for or fix the audio configuration on the win 8 computer. As far as I can tell the iTunes configuration looks the same as on the other computers in the house. At this point I don't dare plug my ipod touch into the Win 8 computer for fear it will get messed up.

I have the same problem and I know that it is due to my PCI Audio driver not being compatible with WIndows 8.1.
iTunes isn't the only program that can't direct sound to the built-in speakers anymore. The obvious solution would be to update the drivers, but unfortunately Dell does not provide an updated driver for my model, so I am stuck with that.
However, saying that, only my laptop speakers are affected by this. I can use sound fine on applications where I can choose the output device and direct sound to the head phones, but for some reason iTunes does not let you choose the audio device manually.
To listen to music I imported the iTunes Library in Windows Media Player and changed the audio output using the following instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/c00d11ba
However, I would also like to rent movie's from iTunes,
Would be great if iTunes would let you choose the output device, too, like most other applications using sound  from Skype to Windows Media Player,...

  • Error message after upgrade to iTunes 11: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point my PC running XP loses all audio.

Several attempts to upgrade to iTunes 11 have failed.  After an upgrade to 11 the error message reads: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point--after the upgrade to iTunes 11--my PC running Windows XP loses audio playback for all functions--in iTunes, in the browser and the volume icon disappears from the System Tray.  Only by removing iTunes 11, and then using System Restore to turn back the OS settings can I return the PC to normal functioning.
I did that.  I reinstalled iTunes 10.5.  Everything seemed fine, but when I try to plug in and copy a CD to my iPhone 4S an error message reads roughly: 'iPhone 4S requires iTunes 10.5 or higher to work.'
What might be the problem with my audio configuration?
Why doesn't my iPhone 4S work with iTunes 10.5?  It used to work with iTunes 10.5.
    Please advise.
