Satellite A300-1NO - built in microphone has dim sound

Hello everybody.
I've noticed that my built in microphone has very low volume. When I'm voice chatting, people hardly hear what i am speaking. I've got Realtek HD Audio Manager, downloaded the sound driver from the Toshiba website. Everything set to 100%, microphone boost is only 20 dB because 30dB is too noisy. I checked webcam assistant too. I don't know what should I do.
When I use external microphone, it sounds like OK. But the built in mic is quiet and flat, dim.

i downloaded the driver from there, "sound-20080728120308.zip" now i have 6.0.1.5599 version of sound driver. now it's louder, but i don't know if it is now good quality or not. i've uploaded a recorded voice
everything set to 100% percent, boost is 30 dB. noise reduction is ON, acoustic echo cancellation ON, default format 16bit, 48000Hz (DVD quality)
my external microphone is still better than built in. at least built in mic is now louder than it was

  • Satellite A300-1NO - How can I record sound?

Hello. I've got a Satellite A300-1NO machine, but I don't know how to set my sound card, because I want to record any sound that my sound card plays. For example listening an internet radio and record a track from it.
I can only set my microphone to record it, and can't see any more opportunity. Waveout or anything else....How could i solve this problem? I've got the 6.0.1.5599 sound driver.

    Hello
If you want to record the sound that plays the sound card you need an additional program. So its not possible to record sound only with the sound driver.
There are many programs that can do this. I have good experience with No23 Recorder. Use Google to find it. Its freeware and easy to use.
Furthermore there are some programs that streams internet radio and record it too. But I dont use such a program but Google can help you to find one.

  • Satellite A300-1NO - Wakes up from standby mode

    Hi all!
I have got a Satellite A300-1NO with Win XP pro.
The problem is, that the laptop wakes up from standby mode automatically after about 5 minutes.
I tried to unplug all cables (LAN, usb, etc) but the power plug, but it's the same result.
So what can cause this? What should I try?
    thanks.

You should disable the Wake up on LAN function in BIOS and Windows.
Check the BIOS for this option!
You can disable this feature in Windows if you right click on the network card > properties > advanced > wake on LAN
I hope it works for you.

  • I have updated with os X 10.10.2 and my built in microphone has stopped working. need immediate solution for this.

Currently I own 13.5" Macbook Air (mid 2012) with OS X 10.10.2 running on it. Ever since I upgraded to it, the built-in microphone has stopped working.
I made Facetime calls but my voice was not able to transfer/hear on the other side. Moreover i tried checking the "Sound Input levels" in the System Preferences and they all are perfect. When i speak the volume recognition bars does not show any movement or change, indicating no Input Volume.
Kindly look into this matter and take necessary steps to resolve this issue.

To add to David Woods comment, make sure your Audio MIDI app is running the latest 4.3.0 found in  Audio MIDI>Preferences> info>Core Audio Framework 4,3.0

  • Built In Microphone Has Disappeared

Heyas, I don't know if this is a Lenovo or Windows problem, to be honest, but considering it had to do with my hardware, I figured this was the best place to start!
I have a T61 7659XAU, running Windows Vista w/ Service Pack 1. And, well, the built in microphone seems to no longer be installed. I have used it several times in the past, but haven't for a few months but something came up where I blah blah you're probably smart enough to figure out that I want to use it.
However, when I go into my control panel, it says that no audio recording devices are installed. I didn't do anything here, but I figure someone else probably uninstalled it or something, and I don't know how to bring it back up. Any help would make me very happy!

yes i was, but the issue has resolved itself. after a couple of restarts it reappeared and is working fine. straaaaange.
Anyone know why that might be?
    Thanks anyway.

  • Satellite A300-1NO - Realtek soundcard trouble on Windows 7

    Hey guys!
I have an A300-1NO notebook and some trouble with realtek audio driver as I've installed Windows 7 (x86, 32bit).
When I had Vista, I had 3 options to set how I want to record sounds. There was a Microphone, Mic in at front panel and a "third option" that recorded voice directly from sound card (waveout maybe) and not by any microphones.
Now, I can't find the "third option" (record sound directly from soundcard) just the two microphone options. I can see the disabled and disconnected devices too, but it still doesn't show me the "third option" :(
The freshly installed Win7 recognized my sound card, and I had sounds on it but there was not any "realtek" icon in the control panel to edit preferences, as in Vista's control panel. I uninstalled it from the device manager, after that i setup 6.0.1.5559 version (I used it with vista x86, 32bit) but still the same problem..
I really don't know what should i do..

    Hi
To be honest I really not understand what you expect from an OS that is not released or not on the market as yet...
You have to wait some weeks or months more until official drivers will be released for Windows 7. Its the same as on Vista and XP. After the release, the most drivers were released.
You can try some beta drivers for Windows 7 from the Toshiba US page.
But this is all what you can do at the moment.

  • Toshiba Satellite E45t-B4300 built in microphone not working

    Greetings,
Today I bought the Toshiba Satellite E45t-B4300. I was trying to use the built in microphone and it is not functioning. The video recorder appears to work fine. After searching around, I decided to download the most recent drivers from toshiba. I uninstalled the old audio device and installed the new drivers. After this process, the microphone still does not function. (Yes, I rebooted, and all standard good practices ) It appears to be listed in the recording devices and enabled. When I try to set it up, it does not detect any audio. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh it also runs Windows 8.1.
    Thank you.

  • Satellite C650-010 - Built in microphone not working

built in microphone did not work after three weeks. I tried to install new driver software from Toshiba website, but did not help. External webcam with microphone works well.
Yesterday microphone worked for ten minutes but then mute again.

    Hey,
    > I tried to install new driver software from Toshiba website
What driver software you have installed?
The microphone belongs to internal webcam so you have to reinstall the webcam driver if internal microphone doesnt work properly.
    > but then mute again.
Does this mean the internal microphone is muted? Please check the Windows sound settings if the microphone is listed properly under recording devices and set as default device.

  • Satellite C650-197 Built In Microphone and Jacks not working

As the title, I tried to use the my microphone that comes inbuilt on this model (integrated VGA Web Camera with built-in microphone) and found its not working. Tried to plug in an external microphone via the mic jack and still not recording.
I cant seem to find the drivers for the inbuilt or the jack anywhere.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
    > I cant seem to find the drivers for the inbuilt or the jack anywhere.
Such drivers dont exist. The sound card driver controls everything.
I think you should firstly start the webcam software and should test the mic because the internal mic is a part of the webcam.
The webcam software provides an tab; settings and properties. In one of these tabs you would find settings for audio.
There you could increase the mic volume and could record small audio session.
Additionally I recommend checking the settings in control panel -> sound.
Be sure that mic volume is set to max. Don't forget to check hidden and disabled devices there...

  • Satellite L755-1NM - built-in microphone fading out

A while ago tried to make a Skype call, only to find out that the other person wasn't hearing me at all. Checked the microphone settings, both in Skype and on the device settings, and the microphone is pretty much not working correctly.
What happens is that every time I start up anything that can use the microphone (so, when I start a call, or when I check the microphone settings), it works for a brief moment, but, in a matter of seconds, just flatlines.
As a way to exemplify, I recorded my voice making a constant sound on [vocaroo|http://vocaroo.com/i/s01hJV8kLaMP]. What you're listening to is my microphone detecting the sound and then fading out, eventually losing all sound detection.
I believe this might be a hardware issue, as I haven't made any changes to the software that could've affected the microphone. In fact, just a while ago, after I found this issue, I reinstalled the drivers and it didn't get fixed. In that case, I guess the only option is to send my laptop in for fixing (which I'd rather avoid).
Also, it was still working perfectly about 2 or 3 days ago.
    Anyone have any ideas?

I assume you are speaking about the internal microphone which is part of the webcam.
    Did you try external microphone?
Does the same issue appear using such external mic?
I think it would be useful to know that because in such case we would know if its hardware or software (setting) related issue.
You can also check some mic settings which can be found in:
Control panel -> sound -> recording tab -> mic (right click properties)
In new window (mic properties) you will find some more tabs like Levels, Enhancements, Advanced
In Levels tab you could change the Microphone boost.
In Enhancements tab you can disable all effects as well you could enable the noise suppression and acoustic echo cancelation
I would recommend you to test check and to try different options.

  • Satellite A300 and Win7 - Strange problem with speakers\sound card

    Hello everyone,
    I am working on a - A300-1MO with win 7 ultimate 32 bit
In the last few days (since I have installed the Bluetooth driver but I dont think it matters), the sound card, and therefore the laptop speakers, switch from being mute to being active, sometimes in high volume.
It disturbs me a lot because my computer is making sounds while I am in classes (from apps running\web sites etc.). I almost got kicked out of class several times because of it.
I tried muting the sound card from the windows mixer and from the sound card application, it's no use.
    I will appreciate any help.
    Thanks a bunch
    Roi.

    Hi roibs,
    > It disturbs me a lot because my computer is making sounds while I am in classes (from apps running\web sites etc.). I almost got kicked out of class several times because of it.
Maybe you should leave your computer at home and not play with it in your class ;)
Anyway, I would recommend disabling all Windows sounds in control panel. That means no sounds will be played while you navigate through the Internet or use the Explorer.
    Check this!!!

  • Satellite A300-1LT - I must manual activate HDMI sound

    Hi to all,
This program (HDMI manager) don't work for me, I must manual activate HDMI sound and when I want to connect or disconnect display they don't recognize when I plug cable.
So everything must manual(media centar connect display...)
Install and uninstall progam don't help...
    Thanx

    > I always connect cable when my pc and tv ON
Then connect the device with the HDMI cable when both devices are OFF
On your notebook you can find the application called Toshiba HDMI Control.
There you can enable the option called Enable HDMI controll and can enable the further settings like:
+Allow this PC to be power on and off by a TV which supports HDMI control+
    and
+Allow the PC to be powered off by a TV which supports HDMI Control when the TV is powered off.+
The option called HDMI Control can be used ONLY if your LCD (external TV) supports the HDMI Control feature. If the LCD does not support such feature then this option is not useful!
    Greetings

  • Does Satellite A205-5800 have a built in microphone?

Okay, I just bought this laptop from a local pawn shop, and I can't find an online manual so I am wondering if this top has a built in microphone. I updated the "realtek" audio driver. And when I go to the "recording device" it says " Microphone, high definition audio device, not plugged in. I was wondering if it doesn't have a built in mic, am I wasting my time looking for a driver for this? I can't even find this on the Toshiba website. Thank you for your time and expertise!

    Has this Satellite Webcam?
I ask it because every notebook with Webcam has a built in microphone.

  • How to deactivate built-in microphone on Satellite A100?

    Hi!
First of all I have a little bit silly question: Does my Satellite A100-547 has a built-in Microphone? If it has one - how can I deactivate it and use the external microphone of my headset?
If I want to talk to others in Teamspeak, the others can hear something even if the microphone of the headset isn't plugged in.
So I guess, there must be an built-in Micro ;-P

External microphone you can use if you connect it to MIC jack. TeamSpeak is not known to me but I presume in settings you can check functionality of connected sound devices. Test it!
