Satellite A300-20Q not listed on tech support page

Satellite A300-20Q not listed on tech support page. I can see 20P, 20R, but not 20Q. Even an automatic model detector can not find it in a database. Please fix this mistake.

I have no idea what pages or database you are meaning but the Satellite A300-20Q is not available in every country!
This model has been released for Russia market.
Other Sat A300-xxx models are avaialbel on other European/middle east countries.

What is N-OS?
For the camera raw problem, every new camera has its own raw format and ACR must be updated to include it. That hasn't happened yet for the D5500, so you'll just have to use the Nikon software till Adobe gets the info and releases an updated version of ACR. It's not unusual to be in your situation if you buy a camera model that's only been out a month. You just have to wait a bit.

I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions. If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again. They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why. They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account. It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there? That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

Satellite A300 - Webcam not working since I installed Win7

Hi,
I have toshiba laptop Satellite A300, It had windows vista installed in this laptop but i formated and installed Windows 7 and since i have installed this windows 7 my webcamera is not working it gives an error "webcam driver open fail.please restart camera or computer" and even after doing this its not working.
And after installing this windows I think the display setting is also out of order, I tried to install the sorftwares and drivers from toshiba support but no success.
I need help to solve this issue.Please help

Ive made very good experiences with Satellite A300 and Win7. In front of me I have Satellite A300-1LI. It is PSAG8E model and I can confirm that everything works perfect.
I have one offer for you:
Send us please exact notebook model and we can check Toshiba download page to see what is available for Win7 for your notebook model.
I can also send you exact installations order how to install all Toshiba stuff.
Please let us know what you have done to get camera work.
Let us know how you have installed Win7 and all Toshiba stuff (drivers, tools and utilities).
Do you have some other issues with Win7 on your Satellite A300?

If not this:
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem.

A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I possess an A200 satellite laptop, and I am not able to find any driver for it on Toshiba site !!
- its serial number (X8172841K) is not recognized , the message is : "Sorry , your product cannot be found" [translated from French]
- the support site cannot detect my laptop model
- none of the drivers that I have downloaded (closest to A200) accept to install

If the serial number is not detected by Automatic detection you can find drivers manually.
Maybe you have the same A200 as friend of mine. His notebook has part number PSAE6E.
To find right drivers please visit Toshiba download and support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Support Homepage and at the bottom you will find link Download drivers.
Go there and choose your notebook model with right short model number.
If you need more help please let me know.
BTW: have you tried to find right drivers on Toshiba France support page?

There are some of Windows Vista HW drivers not published for Windows 7?
Does it mean the missing drivers are combined with other drivers...?

It would be published later...?

Windoes vista HW drivers can be used also for windows 7...?

The Satellite A300-20V belongs to the PSAGCE series and therefore already a lot of Windows 7 drivers released and also for 32bit and 64bit.
What drivers you are missing exactly?
And yes, you can use the Vista drivers on Windows 7. A lot of them also work.
On my Satellite A300 Windows 7 runs really good. I did get all drivers for it and it runs better then Vista in my opinion.

HP Photosmart 2610 not listed as a supported device

I have an HP Photosmart 2610 printer shared through a Windows PC (the printer is connected to the PC via USB). When I try adding the printer to my iMac, it shows up correctly as a Windows printer, however, the list of available drivers does not list the 2610 as one of the choices. I downloaded and installed the latest HP Photosmart feature software and driver package (version 9.7) from HP for OS X v10.5.
Am I missing a step to get the 2610 driver added to the list?

I suggest you first uninstall the HP software you have already installed. Then in Print & Fax CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the printer list and select Reset Printing System from the contextual menu. Reinstall the HP software then restart the computer. Now open Print & Fax, click [+] to add a printer. Click on the Default icon in the toolbar. Your shared printer should appear in the list as a shared printer. Select it then locate the printer driver and click on the Add button.

Drivers not available on the support page for my model

After having a hell time resolving the issue of multiply broswers opening and constantly refreshing I am now having issues downloading my driver package. During the process of trying to solve my browser problem I installed a fresh out of the box new installation of Windows 7 Ulitmate as I thought that my recovery was corrupted. In doing this I have lost all my drivers and initial software that was from the factory install. Then to top that off I have gone to the support page to load drivers from here and it doesnt work there are no drivers listing and it just keeps searching. Can anyone show me where i can download the driver package for my specific model?

If you are using IE9, you have to enable the command bar at the top of the browser, then select the Tools drop down menu and select the Compatibility View Settings.
Then uncheck the Microsoft box. I forgot what the exact box is labeled. It is microsoft compatibility list or some such.

Win 10 Satellite S855 issues - not listed in supported models

I tried upgrading to Win 10 and found that my LAN and WLAN was not recognized and not able to connect so I reverted back to Win 8.1 where everything works.Adapter Realtek RTL8723AE After some research I found no support info for my model Satellite S855 on http://win10upgrade.toshiba.com/swupdate/modellist.aspx?region=TAIS&lang=en&country=US Am I to understand I'm stuck with Win 8.1 since my model is not on the list? Purchased in 2013 so it's not quite an ancient machine,Any helpful info on the problem would be appreciated.

There is nothing stopping you from going to Win 10 and, with your late model, you probably will have few problems although LAN and WiFi problems are pretty common. If you try again, check with your LAN and WiFi manufacturer's sites for help. Also, you could try re-installing the Win 8.1 drivers since Win 10 may have used generic drivers during its installation. What Toshiba is saying is that there are no Toshiba drivers or utilities written for Win 10 at the present time.
I have been a Win 10 tester for 10 months using an older model purchased in December of 2013 with Win 7 and I have no Toshiba support either. I am using that machine now and have it running just fine and, incidentally, I've grown to l;like Win 10 although that wasn't true the first few months.

Satellite A300 will not get past splash screen

Hi All
got an issue with an A300 laptop about 2-2.5 years old. I have just installed windows 7 prof and it was working fine for about 3 days and then suddenly it stopped booting up.
It gets to the toshiba splash screen and then reboots. it does not even try to boot into windows. you can go into the bios and make changes etc. you cannot press f8 to load into safe mode it does not even get that far.
You can press f12 and get the boot menu up and try to boot from CD but this again does not work and it just reboots again
I'm not sure how else to troubleshoot it. I dont think its a motherboard problem as you can get into the bios.
It could be a HDD problem but then i thought it would have gave you a warning message of some kind ( no boot device available ) and you can see the HDD in bios and would have thought it would have at least booted to CD.
The only things i can think of are RAM problem HDD problem or Motherboard problem.
I think installing win 7 3days ago is just a huge coincidence?

In this case it seems to be a hardware malfunction because a Microsoft Windows disk should also work properly.

This is only possible on Windows because its a Windows based update. Furthermore BIOS update will not help you if the hardware is defective.

Thats hard to say because for going into BIOS you dont need much performance.
I would recommend contacting an authorized service provider and let the guys check the hardware of your computer. Theoretically it could be everything so a professional diagnostic is recommendable in this case.

That means your screen is completely black and you can see nothing? Thats strange but you can try this workaround:
-Try removing the battery and the AC adaptor
-Wait at least one hour or one night (no battery and AC adaptor should be connected)
-Connect battery and AC adaptor again
-Try to start the notebook as usual
If the same problem occurs you should contact an authorized service provider. It seems to be a hardware problem :(

Is there not a 1800 tech support for nano?

I'm very frustrated with my nano. First of all, it came with no instructions. I am not very computer literate, but it has been flashing do not disconnect for about 30 minutes now and I know that's a problem. i need a number to call so I can talk to a live person and troubleshoot. thank you

There should have been a printed quick start guide in the package. Beyond the quick start there is complete documentation for the Nano on the installation CD, in a folder called User Guides and Information and then one more folder below that is the language that the documentation is printed in. Difficult to include complete printed documentation in 14 different languages.
As for your second question, information on how to contact Apple directly is located at http://www.apple.com/contact/
BUT you may want to troubleshoot you issue here first. On some occasions my iPods will do the same behavior you describe.... Try closing iTunes and reopen it, if after the update process is complete it still shows "Do not disconnect", locate your iPod in the left hand column of iTunes, if it is displayed then click on the eject icon to the right of your iPod's name. Hopefully this will eject the iPod and have the Do Not Disconnect warning disappear.
