Satellite A300-20V - Not all Windows 7 drivers published?

There are some of Windows Vista HW drivers not published for Windows 7?
Does it mean the missing drivers are combined with other drivers...?
OR
It would be published later...?
OR
Windoes vista HW drivers can be used also for windows 7...?

The Satellite A300-20V belongs to the PSAGCE series and therefore already a lot of Windows 7 drivers released and also for 32bit and 64bit.
What drivers you are missing exactly?
And yes, you can use the Vista drivers on Windows 7. A lot of them also work.
On my Satellite A300 Windows 7 runs really good. I did get all drivers for it and it runs better then Vista in my opinion.

I have no idea what pages or database you are meaning but the Satellite A300-20Q is not available in every country!
This model has been released for Russia market.
Other Sat A300-xxx models are avaialbel on other European/middle east countries.

Satellite A300-20P - Games with Windows 7 not working in full screen

I have Satellite A300-20P and VGA ATI 3650
I made upgrade to Windows 7 Professional
All games working well but not in full screen. I installed the last driver for ATI for Windows 7. It was working in full screen in Vista before I make upgrade.
Same problem on my brother`s laptop after he make upgrade to Windows 7.

Normally you can change the screen resolution in every game and if they should run in full screen mode or not. Check this!!!
Can you also tell us what display driver you have installed? The drivers from the Toshiba page are for desktop cards and not for mobile cards. So please use only the Toshiba drivers.

Satellite A300 - Webcam not working since I installed Win7

Hi,
I have toshiba laptop Satellite A300, It had windows vista installed in this laptop but i formated and installed Windows 7 and since i have installed this windows 7 my webcamera is not working it gives an error "webcam driver open fail.please restart camera or computer" and even after doing this its not working.
And after installing this windows I think the display setting is also out of order, I tried to install the sorftwares and drivers from toshiba support but no success.
I need help to solve this issue.Please help

I have one offer for you:
Send us please exact notebook model and we can check Toshiba download page to see what is available for Win7 for your notebook model.
I can also send you exact installations order how to install all Toshiba stuff.
Please let us know what you have done to get camera work.
Let us know how you have installed Win7 and all Toshiba stuff (drivers, tools and utilities).

The upgrade is pretty easy: Just purchase a Microsoft update disk and then you can update Vista to Windows 7 Thats all!

If you just click the small x in the tab you are currently viewing, it will close only that tab. I think you are clicking the x in upper right hand corner of the screen which closes all open tabs as you described.

Multimedia touch panel buttons on Satellite A500 are not all working

I recently purchased an A500 (PSAR9A-02J001) laptop running Windows 7 (32-bit) Home Premium. Not all the top Multimedia touch panel buttons are working. When buttons are pressed, the laptop makes a beeping sound (which is normal) but the corresponding function is not executed.
For example, the Eco button at the top doesn't switch on/off the eco and the mute button does not mute the volume.
Device manager shows all devices as working correctly.
There are no errors in the Event Viewer Application or System logs.
Please advise!

Try please to reinstall Toshiba value added package.
Remove preinstalled version, restart your notebook and install latest version from Toshiba download page.

Late 2013 15" rMBP Can not DL Windows drivers. Get this pop-up "This Mac only supports Windows 7. Do you want to continue?"

Whenver I try to DL the Windows drivers from Bootcamp Assistant, I get a pop up that says "This Mac only supports Windows 7. Do you want to continue?". I click continue, but the download always fails stating "Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server." and the utility shuts down. This has happened for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 iso's.
I've chatted with support online and they basically led me through the steps of resetting the SMC and PRAM, but this has not worked.
The odd thing is, Bootcamp assistant was able to download the drivers successfully the first couple of times, only to fail during the installation of Windows, with the infamous "Can not load boot configuration" error. Ever since those first couple of times, I am unable to succesfully download the drivers.
Frustrating...any ideas?

The first time I installed windows 7, I had no issues what so ever. Then I decided to installed windows 8.1. So I went ahead removed the windows 7 partition via BootCamp. When I tired to install windows 8.1, I ran into the exact same issue. I went ahead and tired to reinstall windows 7 and the issue persisted.
Would be nice to find a solution for this problem.

Leopard not Installing Window Drivers

Hi, I recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. I then tried to install Windows Professional using Boot Camp. I was successful with the Windows installation. However, when I insert the Leopard DVD to install the Windows drivers nothing happened. I tried double clicking the DVD from the D drive in Windows but there was no files to install. Is there a step I am missing ? Please help. Thanks!!

Hi The Hatter, Thanks for your response. I do have boot camp in the utilities. I am at work now so I can't try this until I get home but here is another suggestion I received.
right-click the DVD drive in Window XP, and choose Show Windows Files rather than Show Mac Files. , the setup for Windows drivers will appeared.
Is it the D drive they are talking about? or do I click on or do I rigth click on the DVD itself? I will try it and repost.

Satellite A300 will not get past splash screen

Hi All
got an issue with an A300 laptop about 2-2.5 years old. I have just installed windows 7 prof and it was working fine for about 3 days and then suddenly it stopped booting up.
It gets to the toshiba splash screen and then reboots. it does not even try to boot into windows. you can go into the bios and make changes etc. you cannot press f8 to load into safe mode it does not even get that far.
You can press f12 and get the boot menu up and try to boot from CD but this again does not work and it just reboots again
I'm not sure how else to troubleshoot it. I dont think its a motherboard problem as you can get into the bios.
It could be a HDD problem but then i thought it would have gave you a warning message of some kind ( no boot device available ) and you can see the HDD in bios and would have thought it would have at least booted to CD.
The only things i can think of are RAM problem HDD problem or Motherboard problem.
I think installing win 7 3days ago is just a huge coincidence?

In this case it seems to be a hardware malfunction because a Microsoft Windows disk should also work properly.

This is only possible on Windows because its a Windows based update. Furthermore BIOS update will not help you if the hardware is defective.

Thats hard to say because for going into BIOS you dont need much performance.
I would recommend contacting an authorized service provider and let the guys check the hardware of your computer. Theoretically it could be everything so a professional diagnostic is recommendable in this case.

The Satellite A135-S4527 was designed for the US market. In my knowledge all Toshiba series with the 5 at the end are US notebooks.
Therefore you should check the Toshiba US driver website.

If you will not find the necessary XP drivers then either you will have to wait till the drivers will be released or you will try some single XP drivers directly from the chip manufacture websites.

Satellite A300 is not working

My laptop has crashed. When I turn on the laptop I get a black screen asking me to select either startup repair (doesn't work) or start Windows normally (doesn't work).
I am then presented with System Recovery Options (start up repair, system restore, windows comple pc restore, windows memory diagnostic tool, command prompt, toshiba recovery wizard). No matter what optioin i select, nothing works. I have tried the recovery wizard but it advises i will lose all data.
I can't afford to lose all my data as it will mean i also lose itunes and i wont be able to deauthorise the computer.
I also have alot of photos and other important info.
I dont have any back up disks (they were not supplied when i purchased the laptop).
Hoping someone can help as i really need to retriend my everything.

The Recovery disk are not supplied because you have to create the recover disks using the preinstalled software called Toshiba Recover disk creator (I guess this is mentioned in user manual )
But this is the same recover procedure provided by Toshiba recovery wizard which you can find press F8.
Both procedures (HDD recovery or Recovery disk) would format the HDD.
I think you should boot the notebook using Live CD. You can use Linux Live CD or WinPE (or BartPE).
Google for that
These CD would boot an Windows or Linux environment and would get a access to the files on the HDD.
Then you could safe the files on external medium and then you can install Windows using HDD recovery .

Satellite A300 does not pass BIOS self-test

That means your screen is completely black and you can see nothing? Thats strange but you can try this workaround:
-Try removing the battery and the AC adaptor
-Wait at least one hour or one night (no battery and AC adaptor should be connected)
-Connect battery and AC adaptor again
-Try to start the notebook as usual
If the same problem occurs you should contact an authorized service provider. It seems to be a hardware problem :(

Hello all. First of all i'm sorry for my poor english - I have to little practice.
Can I transfer my win Vista sp2 (x32) to Win7 (x32) on my notebook Satellite A300-1QF (?PSAGCE-06F00JRU)?
Will there any troubles with drivers/devices/something else? If it will be, are there some ways to avoid them?

Best thing is to upgrade it using original Toshiba upgrade kit but I think it is not available anymore.
As far as I know you can also upgrade it using Microsoft installation disc but it can be little bit complicated because some tools and drivers must be removed from the system before upgrade installation starts.
Best way to have well working Win7 on Satellite A300 is not to make upgrade but clean Win7 installation. With other words: install Win7 using Microsoft installation disc. After doing this install all necessary drivers, tools and utilities one by one from Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
I have checked this page and all Toshiba stuff is available for Win7.
