Satellite A350D-20K (PSALME) - New BIOS version

Hi, I am using a Windows 7 64bit
I went to the drivers update but it only had 2 drivers update.
1: No OS displayed but it's from 32 bit
2: Windows vista 64 bit.
I tried the first and it didn't work. My BIOS version is 1.50 and I think the BIOS is further.
Could anyone help me?
I would really appreciate it.

Well to be honest what i want is completely something else, and i think it could help by updating my bios( might be wrong).
What my problem really is:
My network keeps background scanning every 60 seconds, it causes lag while streaming a movie, playing a online game.
and if i test it on cmd i keep pinging to my own ip, or www.google.com
it goes okay and then suddenly the ms goes to 50+ 100 + 150+ then goes back to normal.
and that is causing problems for the internet.
Is there anyway to fix this problem ?
im using a router 2, but i dont think its problem of the router because the router is in the same room as i am.

Satellite L670-1JN - Difference between BIOS versions

My laptop L670-1JN bios version is 1.9, on download there is bios "2.10-WIN".
What's the differences between the versions?
Is it necesserary to update my bios?

If everything is ok with your notebook I dont see a reason to update the BIOS.
But on Toshiba website I found an article about keyboard issues which could be solved by new BIOS version:

So probably thats the difference to older BIOS version

MSI P965 Neo motherboard New Bios version 1.7

Hi all,
I have notice that msi has release a new bios, version 1.7, for the p965 neo mobo. Has anybody tried it and has any info to share with us?
I want to upgrade but I am not sure if this is a good upgrade. Does anyone knows what is the "Intel Presler SL9QR CPU" fix so I choose to upgrade or not?

New bios version for HP Envy 800-060

There is a new bios version, 80.21, for the above listed machine. I wish HP would put in the release notes with their downloads. When the update just says critical, but doesn't tell you what it's doing, that is kind of annoying.

Satellite A500-025 - Improvements of new BIOS version

I did a bios update on my Satellite A500-025. I had a BIOS version 1.2 and updated to BIOS 1.5.
Anyone know what the improvements are and is it advisable to always do a BIOS update when a new one comes out?

Normally the BIOS changelog is placed on the Toshiba notebook but if you cant find it, unfortunately there is no changelog available.
By the way: I have noticed that BIOS changelogs are often placed on the Toshiba US page. Maybe you can find it there.
And this update should only be done if its really necessary. If you dont have any problems, forget this update.

They've posted new Bios updates on the download page!
5.20-WIN : This Bios is NOT compatible for Notebooks with Windows Vista!!!
1.80-WIN : This Bios is ONLY compatible for Notebooks with Windows Vista!!!
But I don't really know how to use this. Because I have currently XP installed. Let's assume I update the bios with the XP version. What if I decide later to put back the Vista? That would be impossible, because I have BIOS for XP. And couldn't install the Vista BIOS neither, as i have XP installed...
Any ideas?

its not so tragically if you have a XP bios and vista installed. It will work but with many limitations and it wont work stable, so its better to have the version which is intended for the operating system you currently use.

today 845pe max(6580) got new version 3.7 bios out again...so fast, just updated 3.6 last month me just updated, so far temperature change for 57c to 48c when idle after updated new bios :D but still quite high X(

its no more in msi website, think msi took its out.

Satellite A350D-20K - What is fingerprint utility and registry patch?

I am using Satellite A350D-2Ok. Originally its OS was Vista 32bit, I change it to Windows 7 64bit I searched drivers for Windows 7 64bit here. Then I saw a driver or installer for finger print utility so I was confused if what is that for? I downloaded it and installed it but I can't see any new installed application or software in my laptop? I also Checked it to the C:/programfiles bur still I don't saw it..
Can you guys explain me what is that installer for? What is the use of it how it works or all about it in short.
Second thing is I also saw registry patch from the list so I also Download it. What is Registry patch for and when do I need to use that?

1.Fingerprint Utility
I think the same says everything If your notebook has a fingerprint reader you need this tool/driver to use them. Otherwise you dont need it. ;)
Generally speaking fingerprint reader and the utility can be used to replace the Windows login password. You can use your finger to login into Windows if you have such fingerprint reader.
2.Registry patch
Everything about these patches you can find on driver details on Toshiba page:

Does Satellite A350D-20K support inbuilt 3G modem?

Greetings Sir/Ma'am,
I'am just cleaning may lap top when I removed the battery at the back, I saw a small slot looks like a slot for a sim card..
below the slot there is a small drawing looks like a sim card for a cell phone.. inside the drawing there is a word sim and an arrow pointing the small slot.
What is meant by that? What is that slot for? How will I use it?

As far as I know the A350D-20K does not support the 3G module.
It supports the internal BT module and Atheros Wlan card.
But as far as I know different notebook series support different hardware specifications. This means that some of A350D could support the 3G and therefore this slot would be available. Possibly all series uses the same chassis but not all are supplied with an internal 3G module.

HP 15-D035DX new BIOS version update F,19A,14,1M

I have a HP 15-D035DX with pre-installed windows 8.1 all updates have been done up to this point. The HP support assitant had a BIOS update F,19A,14,1M release date 11/11/2014 that i downloaded and ran without any problems but i notice that in system information it shows BIOS F,19, dated 10/7/2014. Im wondering if i need to just leave it and not try to update it again since i have no start-up problems.

After the installation is completed the NB will restart automatically.
Go to run command (win+R) type msinfo32 and click ok you will be able to see the BIOS version.
If the HPSA is giving any update you can cancel it since you have done it manually

In my opinion the BIOS 2.0 update does not solve your problem.
A friend of mine is an A500 owner and the backlight keyboard functions using old BIOS.
I think there must be another reason for your backlight problem.

in some cases you need to press FN + Y due to different keyboard layout.
The FN buttons are controlled by value added package as reported by users above...
Reinstallation of VAP should help you be sure you use the latest VAP recommend using one released for newer series like A660/A665
But if the VAP does not help, and if backlight is enabled in BIOS, then there must be a hardware issue maybe the 2nd keyboard cable is not connected properly to the backlight connector loose connection might cause this

New bios version does not appear

I have a k7n2 delta2 motherboard.I currently have bios version 11.4 {B4} My problem is that i flashed bios back to bersion 11.3 {B3).It seemed to flash with no problem but when i reboot it still says that my version is 11.4.Did I miss anything in the flash.Thanks for your help

thanks wonkanoby, I have tried the /f.Hear is what happens, when i copy the file awf883d.exe and the file w6570nms.b30 it goes to another prompt than i type awf833d w6570nms.b30/f.It than goes to another screen with the logo award flash or bios or something like that.The screen has several symbols shown for various switches,i guess. It that goes to an a prompt. I have retyped awf833d w6570nms/f, it does not take and goes back to the a prompt.I have to retype but leave off the /f.It than goes to the flash and completes.But when i reboot it still shows the b40 version. Am i missing something on the second prompt.Thanks

A new BIOS version 3.50 is out for Satellite U200

I have just installed BIOS v.3.50 and it works like a charme. Hope there will be more drivers soon or at least updated drivers; especially the Flash-Cards do not work properly they always crash.
With BIOS 3.50 I think I got a little more performance, but maybe it is just an impression, check it out yourself ;)

I just got my vista upgrade DVD from Toshiba/Moduslink, and there is a handy utility you can download that will install all the Toshiba Vista drivers for you. I'm running Vista Ultimate x86 (32-bit), and flashcards is stable on my machine (U205-S5044/US model).

TRAD (traditional) version can be done using floppy disc drive and BIOS update must be saved on floppy disc.
WIN version can be started under running Windows operating system.
Thats all.
