Sounds a little bit like a overheating
Did you notice a higher temperature?
High temp could affect the hardware parts like CPU, RAM, GPU
What do you think about that?
The A60 is a little bit old and I think there could be dust inside the fans check if you can remove dust using compressed air spray.
This should help to decrease the temp.

And while buying said faster card... buy a REPUTABLE brand from a reputable vendor. I've come to the conclusion that there are a lot of fly-by-nights making cards that are not as fast as they claim to be.
Reputable vendors are companies like Sandisk and Lexar. But as an SD card is just a plastic card with a sticker on it, and stickers are pretty easy to fake, buy the card from a vendor you can trust is not selling fakes.
This is one item where it is probably not a good idea to try to save money by finding the cheapest deal you can find on the Internet.

My canon t3i dslr camera stops recording automatically after about 10 sec. the manual said to use an SD card of class 6 or higher. I am using a class 10 and I have been able to record long videos in the past and all of a sudden the camera stops recording automatically after about 10 sec. Does anyone know why? thanks

We get this a lot here. It turns out that even though the card is labeled as a Class 10 card, the most common problem when this occurs... is that it's still a defective card.
Sandisk is a good company and they generally make solid products. But there are two risks... (1) even Sandisk will occasionally have a bad card or a card that fails prematurely, and (2) it's exceptionally easy to create a forgery (if you peel the labels off these cards, they all look identical.)
When I buy cards (and I also buy Sandisk and/or Lexar cards), I'm careful to buy cards which well-exceed the specs necessary ... but I'm also careful to buy the cards only from reputable dealers.
If you do a search, you'll find LOTS of articles about fake cards with tips on how to avoid them or how to spot them.
But the bottom line ... at the end of the day you just want your problem solved. If the card is bad, then there's nothing that you would be able to do to the camera to make the problem away. You would really need to replace that card.
The issue that you are having is somewhat common... there are lots of threads on this. But the majority of these are actually solved simply by replacing the card with a known good card and without making any changes to the camera.
It's not a guarantee that it's the card... but it's the most common cause.

After upgrading to 10.8.3 my Apple USB keyboard stops working after about 3 hours

Mac Pro 3,1
OS X 10.8.3 Server
32GB RAM
Apple USB Keyboard works fine after reboot (typing on it now), stops responding after about 3 hours.
I see nothing in Console that looks like the culprit. Here is everything around the last time it happened - between 11:28 and 11:30 they keyboard just stopped working. Unplugging and re-plugging doesn't bring it back. Changing USB ports doesn't bring it back. Rebooting is the only thing that seems to work. Bluetooth keyboard works before and after.

I understand that your keyboard backlight is not working upon startup, the following may resolve your issue:

After performing normal troubleshooting, these symptoms may indicate that an SMC reset may be necessary:
Lights
The keyboard backlight appears to behave incorrectly (on Mac computers that have this feature).
You may also want to reset your computer's PRAM:

When recording a slideshow, why does audio stop recording after about 30 seconds even though slides and presentation continues?

I'm doing everything the same and have made many successful slideshow recordings using Keynote, but since updating the Yosemite and then updating Keynote the audio just stops recording after about 30 seconds.
The slides keep on changing and recording the video, but after 30 seconds the audio stops recording even though it seems to be registering the sound and the mic is not muted in Keynote.
Is there some change or new setting I am not aware of that needs to be altered?
Any advice would be helpful as I need to record a lot of presentations.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

I can't imagine this will work as the the application is tied into a specific computer and user ID to prevent unauthorised use of single use applications. Copying over has not worked with previous versions of Keynote.
It worked for me. I guess it could be because we bought our Macs together and have home sharing or something. Either way, I'm running Yosemite but with Keynote 6.2.2. and not updating again until Apple do something about this bug.

Have you tried to give it a reboot? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. WHen you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.

Track stops recording after about an hour

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to record from some old tapes in order to create mp3s. The track stops recording after about one hour. The Tape is over one hour long. I read about a similiar problem in the forum and tried dragging the purple timeline marker to the right but it won't move any further. What is this called and what does it do? I also read about changing the sampling rate, but I cannot find where to do this. Where do I find documentation on this?

Garageband 3 doesn't record more than 1999 beats (GB2: 999). Since in your case the beats don´t matter, you can lower the tempo to the minimum (40 bpm) to get a maximum recording time of 3:18:48.
As for the sample rate: You can't change the export sample rate of GB, it's always 16 bit, 44.1 kbit/s (internally GB works with a higher resolution).

Your problem is that everyone seems to be using the same iTunes store account (ID). That's fine when a family wants to share purchased items, but that's the rub - everyone is tapping into the same account, so they can download whatever is available.
As for icloud accounts, icloud is designed for single user use. If multiple users share the same icloud account then all their devices will be synced together - same emails, same contacts and calendars, same notes, etc. There is no privacy or division of data in this scenario. The usual advice is for everyone to have their own ID for icloud, and share the family ID for iTunes store.

AME CS4 Stops encoding after about 10 min without failure message

Can anybody help me with the following problem?
I have edited a Video of about 15 min length in Premiere Pro CS 4 and now i am trying to export it.
But no matter which format or resolution i choose, the adobe media encoder stops encoding after about 10 minutes withoit giving any failure message. It does not really crash, it just stops, timer is frozen, but the media encoder program still reacts to inputs! When i let it start encoding again nowm it won't start encoding at all so i have to restart the computer in order for it to start encoding, but it will again encode for only 10 min again!
I am using an acer i7 3610qm laptop with 4 gb ram and win 7 64bit
I have updated to the latest versions of premiere and media encoder and also i have tried deleting the preferences, no change...
Does anybody have a clue?

You might also want to check your GPU settings in Premiere (File > Project Settings > General). If the Renderer is set to CUDA, switch to Software Only and try encoding the sequence again.

The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

Satellite M100 shuts down automatically after about 10min

Hey there guys :)
My Toshiba Laptop has been powering off abrubptly and on it's own lately.
When I turn my Laptop on, everything appears fine, battery if fully charged, AC adapter plugged in etc. However, after about 10 minutes of use it will just turn off and make a little 'zoip' noise or similar. Turning the laptop back on right after works, but I find that it will only stay on for about 4 minutes before doing the same. Turning it back on again reduces the time it stays on, sometimes not even going past the boot sequence.
However, if I leave it alone for a couple of hours and come back to it, it will stay on for about 10 minutes again, before going thru the same process.
I have a waranty, but I'm hesitant in taking my laptop in because I don't want to lose my files.
So I am hoping someone here has a fix for my problem :)

Sorry to said it but in my opinion its a hardware problem. This strange notebook behavior seems to be a simply overheating!
The notebook supports an overheating protection to prevent the hardware from the damage.
If the temperature increases to the higher level the notebook shuts down automatically. This is a fact and nothing unusual in such case.
Mostly the fan cleaning helps but sometimes the notebook must be opened for professional cleaning. But note: I dont recommend opening or removing any cases! You would lose the warranty!!!
Maybe a simple vacuuming would make the job.
Anyway, you said you will not lose the data on your HDD. Well, I wonder why you dont create an data backup You can also remove the HDD and connect it via external USB controller to the second PC and could save the files on the other HDD.
After this procedure you should put the HDD again into the notebook and try to reinstall the OS.
If it does not help I would recommend taking the warranty.

Satellite A60 restarts automatically by showing a blue screen

I have a two year old Toshiba Satellite A60, recently I have noticed a problem where suddenly the computer restarts automatically, by first showing a blue screen with white text for a glimpse of a second. Also what difference does it make to update the BIOS?

Generally the Blue Screen of Death appears because of hardware fault or a serious software malfunction.
Both issues are possible on your unit.
Please check this Toshiba FAQ about disabling automatic restart of Windows XP after a System failure:

If the error message appears again so you can see the full details of this message and then it should be possible to detect the reason why it happens.
PS: Additional you can try to recover the notebook with the delivered recovery CD. Maybe this will solve this issue.

Ipod stops syncing after about 11gb on data transferred

ok, my ipod stops syncing after i transfer about 11gb of data.
my music collection alone is 12gb, i also have alot of photos and videos and other contents.
it doesnt matter which format the ipod is in, mac formatted or windows formatted its the same result.
its an 80Gb ipod classic.
any one have any clue as to why this is happening?

Actually at 1200ish songs the iPod hard drive starts making some severe clicking/clanking noises. I'm guessing it means the hard drive is screwed since it's the same symptoms as my last iPod
Why does this happen? Both my iPods were about 2 years old when the hdd's started clicking, surely hdd's last for more than two years?

Videos stop playing after about 2 minutes on ITunes

Hello! Sorry, if I have missed an answer to the same question. I have recently upgraded to ITunes 7.5.0.20 and found out that any video purchased through ITunes stop playing in about 2 minutes. While ITunes show the video is still running, there is no picture (and no sound) on the computer with the last picture frozen. There is no problem in playing the same videos on Ipod so far. The problem appeared only after I have upgraded ITunes and does not go away while I have tried to re-install ITunes a number of times. No problem with the video files converted and transferred to ITunes. Would appreciate any hint or solution. Michael

It's an internal problem with the hardware/software with computers running windows. The only solutions is to copy your videos to an external harddrive, and play them from there. If you do so they will play normally. There has not been a "fix" from itunes yet, so that's the only way to watch them (for now).
