I read your post on the HP Support Forums and I understand that you are having an issue with the Touchscreen on your HP Notebook - 15-ac020nr. You had mentioned that since your Windows 10 Upgrade, it no longer works. Have you tried doing all updates (Windows, HP Support Assistant, BIOS)?Have you tried restarting the Notebook a couple of times?Have you tried to run the Windows Troubleshooter? Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating for Windows 10. The HP Support Assistant will also help find a proper driver for you to use. Updated Windows 10 drivers will become available on the HP Drivers and Downloads Page for your product. They will be released as they become available to HP. I did find a troubleshooting document for you called Touch Screen Issues. Although it does say it is for Windows 8, it will still work for Windows 10. Please follow the provided troubleshooting steps and re-post with the results. Have a great day!

The Satellite L30D isnt known to me...
Do you mean Satellite L30 or Satellite L300D?
Normally you have to install the display driver if you want to use higher screen resolutions but check the specifications of your internal display first. Maybe the native screen resolution is 1024x768 and you cant use a higher one.
You can download all drivers for your notebook on the Toshiba website!!! Dont use the drivers from ATI directly, they are not designed for mobile chips.

Kim, a Restore point should have automatically been made by Windows BEFORE processing the update. You should run System Restore using that restore point and then HIDE that update so that it isn't ever installed again.

Can't access old ver. 9, 11 & 13 clips after Windows upgrade

In Sept. 2014 I downloaded PE 13 from B&H, worked fine and was able to access old PE9 & PE11 clips. In Dec. 2014 had problems with Wind. 7 Home Ed. and had to upgrade to 8.1 (decided on Pro). Installed 8.1 Pro end of Dec. 2014 and bought PE 13 DVD from B&H to reinstall after I backed up my hard drive. Problem after install of 8/1 Pro and installing PE13 from DVD I can't access and restore old clips from 9, 11 & 13. Tried everything I can think of....any suggestions PLEASE!

With the old computer system, you have Premiere Elements 9, 11, and 13 projects. And, you import media into each and see thumbnails for each of your imports in the project media area of the program (in version 11 and 13, called Project Assets). CORRECT! Please as we go forward I have the PE 13 that was downloaded from B&H and worked perfectly with my previous assets in PE 9 & 11.
When you go to open a project in one of these programs and go to the project media area, do the source media thumbnails still show as before with image in the thumbnail? Or does the thumbnail have a display of circular arrows? If the present as before, can you drag the file from the project media area to the Timeline? If you cannot, it that the problem? NO! (First info is when I set up my new PE 13 after copying all data to a 1T desk drive and loaded Windows 8.1 Pro to replace my Windows 7 Home Edition, I set up the PE 13 and used 64 bit as suggested.) NOW...When I locate my previous Project Assets on the 1T drive they show as "red blocks" with a play arrow in them where previously were thumbnails, but I can't retrieve them. As such there is nothing to add to the timeline. Last night I added to the NEW PE 13 a 22 min program I'm working on. I have all those assets, thumbnails and everything is working as wonderfully as it did in 9, 11 and downloaded 13.
Now in response to a previous question you asked:
1. When you open Premiere Elements 13 Expert workspace, go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime, do you see a list of presets when you explore
the Presets" field there? NO.... I can get to /Computer but there is no QuickTime there! I did download QuickTime yesterday after your suggestion.

When you did the switch from Windows 7 Home to Windows 8.1, did you go 64 bit to 64 bit or 32 bit to 64 bit in operating system? Help me with a way to determine what the bit was on 9 & 11!
Were two separate computers involved or did you manage to change the operating all on one computer? All on one Computer
The major focus for me right now is to make sure I know what file triggers the ".....not have the required compressoer/decompressor (codec)"? And to know that
you are in the Premiere Elements 13 Editor and not the Organizer 13 workspace. Help me understand!!!! I know the difference between "Add Media", "Project Assets", "Organizer", "Editor" and "Workspace". But "Project Assets" and "Workspace" are part of "Editor", so I don't understand your question.

Cannot Adjust Screen Brightness after Windows 8.1 Update....i am using sony vaio laptop....i recently updated windows 8 to 8.1

Most likely you need to install the graphics driver for W8.1 from your PC's support and driver page.

After I upgraded to yosemite my screen flickers with windows, very strange.

So, after I upgraded to Yosemite, in spurts, there are flickers of windows at random positions around the screen.
It doesn't seem to depend on what applications are running. However I'm usually running Safari, so perhaps it depends on Safari.
Let me describe what the picture below is:
I took an iPhone video of my computer screen, used VLC and slowed down the video to (really really) slow, and then took a screen snap shot during the flicker.
So, if you look at the weirdness, it is a ghost of the entire screen, but, obviously, not in the right place. These fickers can be frequent, like, "bididididi (pause) bidididid (pause)," or in frequent like, "bip (wait a very long time) bip (wait a very long time, perhaps hours)."
This never ever happened with Mountain lion.

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.
5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

Screen flickers after boot camp 2.1 upgrade

I have been running boot camp 2.0 and WinXP for a few weeks on my iMac 24" 3.06 Ghz 4 Gb running 10.5.5. I had installed the nvidia 177.98 drivers and they improved gaming performance and work great.
I installed the boot camp 2.1 upgrade and the video drivers changed back to the boot camp 2.1 drivers. I re-installed the nvidia 177.98 drivers.
I now have two issues:
1. the monitor is listed as generic plug and play. Is there a driver for the iMac 24" display?
2. My room is dark so I use F1 to reduce the screen brightness. The whole screen flickers or flashes continuously. IF i have the brightness up near make the flickers or flashing stops. Anyone sen this or have any thoughts?
If i can't stop the flickering and flashing, I will eventually delete the WinXP system and re-create it and stick with boot camp 2.0.

Before you re-do everything consider other options.
This is the procedure for uninstalling and installing drivers. A program called driver sweeper is required. To uninstall your old drivers you must boot into safe mode, uninstall your old drivers, use driver sweeper to eliminate any remaining fragments of your driver and then install new driver.

In the future, you might want to use something to regularly backup, but for now, WinClone can take a full snapshot image for restore, and runs in OS X. DataBackupPC from Prosoft Engineering (Data Rescue II folks) or similar backup / cloning software (Acronis doesn't support GPT and EFI, so no Mac support).

Screen flickering in windows 8 and 8.1

Recently I've started to have this problem in both windows 8 and 8.1, where the screen flickers and lines and other oddities dance across the screen. It seems to happen much more in windows 8.1 than in windows 8, but it does still happen in windows 8. It seems to have started when I upgraded the OS X side of my laptop to Mavericks. The odd thing is that it doesn't exhibit the problem on the main display or a newly attached external display when at all when I plug the computer into an external display with hdmi. This makes me think that it might be some sort of a driver issue, but I am not really sure. Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forums. If each driver is the same file name and same date but have different file sizes. What you will want to do is to download each one and save it to an external memory device.
Once you have the drivers downloaded boot your system into safe mode.
Windows 8 Safe Mode
Now in safe mode uninstall the driver for your video.
When the driver is removed boot back into windows normally and install the driver.
Try all three drivers. If all have the same issue you will need to do a repair. For that you will need to contact HP phone support.

hello, I had no keyboard flickering issues back when my iPhone 4 was on iOS 6.0.1 then I updated to 6.1 yesterday and now I have apps crashing frequently and keyboard flickering? anyone else having the same issue after the update? any known solution?

I'm having the same issue on my iPhone 4 since yesterday when I updated to iOS 6.1 from 5.1.1.
After about an hour after the upgrade, it crashed/rebooted itself and went completely white/grey screen with a brighter white line in the middle. My power/sleep button was broke already, so I couldn't do anything on it. I left it to drain the battery for about 6 hours. During that time, the edges around the white/grey screen became darker and darker like burn-in effect. After it ran out of the battery, I connected the phone to the PC through USB and iTunes let me restore it to iOS 6.1 firmware I downloaded before.
The restore was successful, but the entire screen keeps flickering rapidly, not just a part of the screen.
Is it hardware or software related issue?? Any idea?

TV screen flickers after connecting to HDMI cable with DV6 laptop

When i connect my ps3 to samsung LCD tv it works completely fine.  But When i connect my hp laptop to same tv. The screen start's to fliker after 2-3 mins. Tried different refesh rate's and resolutions. didn't work for me . Also updated my display driver but still same problem.  Many suggested that HDMI cable might be the problem. But if cable is problem how is it working with ps3 connected to same tv.  Help. PLZ

I understand that when you connect your TV to your HP laptop via HDMI the TV screen flickers. If you connect the TV to your PS3 it does not. You have tried different refresh rates and resolutions but there was no change. Your notebook has HDMI version 1.4 supporting up to 1920 ×1200 @ 60Hz as stated in the maintenance and service guide. Please note chapter 1 page 9 under Ports. HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to try and obtain any HP updates? Have you done all your Windows updates? You can also manually check the HP Drivers & Downloads   page. You will need to input your exact model and follow the prompts to display your recommended software and drivers. Please note HP is doing some updates to their web site and you may need to try later to access the page. You could try a different HDMI cable just to rule that out. Screen Flickers in Windows (Bootcamp)

First of all, sorry for my english, i'm from Romania.
I need your help :
I have a 2008 Aluminiu Macbook - not PRO - 2.4Ghz, 4GB DDR3, Nvidia GeForce 9400m
I recently installed Windows Vista to play some games but after 10 minutes o playing my screen starts to flicker for no reason.
This happens in CoD MW 2, Team Fortress 2 and NFS Most Wanted.
My first though was that Vista was the problem so i'ved installed Windows 7 but this didn't solve the problem. Even in W7 my screen flickers.
When I play games i putt my Macbook on the desk to not overheat so i don't think the heat may be the reason but you never know.
What's you opinion ? Please help me with some advice. I'm 17 and i'ved just changed the battery and HDD in this Mac, i can't really afford a new one. They are really expensive in Romania.

Actually, I've just noticed that it also flickers if I tap the right spot during the BIOS bootup (gray screen when laptop first turns on). Disabling the SMS in MacOS didn't make a difference, so I'm going to assume it's hardware and get that logic board that's troubling everyone else replaced...

Completely unsolvable: Cannot change screen brightness after I upgraded my ThinkPad's display.

I have a ThinkPad X240 which came with a 1366x768 TN panel, I hated it and so after a while I upgraded it to an IPS 1080p display. It works great and looks fantastic except it's stuck on max brightness inside of Windows 8.1. I cannot change the brightness inside of Intel HD graphics settings or inside of programs like Display Tuner. It doesn't work in Windows 10 either. The weird thing is, I can change the brightness just fine inside of Ubuntu. I've tried uninstalling the Intel HD drivers and reinstalling them, I've tried switching the drivers to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and none has worked. I feel like I've installed every single version of Intel's Graphics Drivers and that I've done everything and it still won't change the bloody brightness. NOTHING has worked except to just use Ubuntu, which is not an adequate solution. I've even gone as far as to update my BIOS and reset it to defaults, I've even pulled the CMOS battery. I've tried the version of the Intel HD driver from Lenovo for the X240 and I've installed the monitor.ini files. I've also just learned that during the Windows Boot Logo, the FN keys WILL change the brightness, but as soon as Windows is done booting, it stops working. This, coupled with the fact that brightness control works in Ubuntu means that this must be something related to Windows right? Brightness control works in BIOS. I've even gone so far as to try and change the brightness through CMD using powercfg according to this post. http://superuser.com/questions/472081/can-i-force-a-greater-screen-brightness-from-windows-command-prompt I'm really starting to lose patience now as it has been like this for 3 weeks and I can't be using Ubuntu all of the time, I honestly do not know what to do, it seems like this problem is completely unsolvable. Then (I know this is a bad idea) WHILE IT WAS ON, I pulled the old display and put connected the new one. And lo and behold, the brightness **bleep**ING worked in windows on the new display.

Desktop screen flickers after updating my nvidia GTX 680m driver on my MSI GT70!

Yesterday, I updated my MSI GT70 Dragon Edition's nvidia driver to the one suggested on my laptop'smsi page. Previously, It was running on the latest driver downloaded from nvidia itself (314.22) with no problems whatsoever. But I thought I'd give the msi's official driver a try, to see if it was better. The whole day, the laptop worked fine, even after restart, but after starting it and logging in today, the desktop screen was black and flickering. There was an Flickering error window that can't be read but the title that says ".net framework 4 error"!
Now I've googled the problem, and I might have found the solution, but I need to boot it to safe mode first, and I'm not able to. So if you, please, could tell me how to boot my GT70 to safe mode. Note that I'm not able to reach the "Run" window since the screen is black, and the laptop keeps restarting.

Anyways, I solved the problem!!
I knew that the problem was caused by the driver update, so I decided to connect an external LCD monitor, and the desktop screen showed right away on it. I was curious, so I disconnected that external LCD monitor to see if the laptop's screen went back to normal, and it DID!!! Anyhow, I immediately reconnected the LCD monitor to completely delete the corrupted driver (v314.22) and reinstalled the same driver again...
And by the way, the suggested way of approaching the safe mode when the PC is not normally functioning did not work, whatsoever! I sat for at least two consecutive hours trying it.. in vein!

SAP Query selection screen issues after ECC upgrade

Hi all
We have a custom query created and assigned to a custom transaction code, which after upgrade to ECC 6.0 we find that the selection screen layout is different from what was available in 4.6C system.
All the fields required are available.
However, the sequence of the fields on the screen is different from the 4.6C after the upgrade.
Can anyone help identify the issue so that the issue can be resolved?

There is no resolution as such.
We had raised a Customer message with SAP and were informed that this was expected as the procedure to execute the reports was changed in ECC when compared to 4.6 (technical changes) and hence this issue shall remain for some queries wherein the old changes need to be brought back using an option in the SAP Query.
Please refer to SAP Note # 723577 which could provide a better explanation for the issue.
