Satellite C650 won't run while charging

I recently had to replace my charger, I purchased exact same one from a reputable store, however even though it charges, my laptop won't run unless it is at 100%. I then bought a new battery & another new charger but the problem is still there. So basically I can only use my laptop with battery only or wait till it's a 100% charged?
Can anyone please help?

>It starts with battery removed but it won't load any pages
What does this mean exactly? What pages did you mean?
If you power up the unit, can you see the Toshiba splash screen at the beginning and does Windows boot properly?
Did you notice this issue BEFORE you have replaced the AC adaptor?
Why did you replace the AC adaptor?
From my point of view this issue has nothing to do with AC adaptor or battery
It could be an motherboard related issue

  • Help. Screen won't work while charging directly through a wall socket

I need help. 3 months ago I bought an iPod Touch 5th Generation and was surprised it didn't have an adapter with it. So I've been charging through my pc since. Yesterday I bought a 10W USB Adapter and tried it out. It was charging but the thing is, when I started using the iPod while it was charging, the screen isn't that sensitive anymore. It would click on itself, sometimes it won't even work. I don't know what I should do. I spent a lot on this adapter I don't want it to be a waste. And also, would it be okay if I keep using this adapter, even if it means I can't use my ipod while charging, would it have any effect on my ipod in the long run? thanks so much guys in advance for your replies. Much appreciated.

  • PB doesn't always start up/won't run on charged battery

I have a 15" aluminum PowerBook that I've slowly been bringing back to life after it had a full mug of coffee dumped into it. I cleaned everything out and it's working again, for the most part. However, there are a couple of unresolved problems. The biggest is the computer doesn't always start up. I've also noticed that it won't run on the battery alone, even though the battery is fully charged. When unplugging the computer, the screen goes dark but the computer is still making noise -- it's running to some extent. Any pointers on how to get things running again properly would be greatly appreciated.

If you're able to charge the battery while it's in the computer, and pushing the button on the back of the battery shows all the LEDs lighting up, that suggests that you have a logic board problem. There are only 4 components to the charging circuit: power adapter, DC-in card, battery, and logic board. If what you described is that you can hook the power adapter up and charge the battery completely in the computer, the only component left is the logic board.
While there aren't any tests I've found to test the charging circuit, have you run the Apple hardware test or either of the TechTool programs to test the system? Insert your original OS X disk that says 'AHT Version x.x' in small print on the label. Reboot holding the option key down, choose the Apple hardware test, and when prompted choose the extended test. Does that give you any errors?

  • Satellite Z830-10 - electric shock while charging

I've recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Z830-10 from PC World UK. I'm experience constant electric shock when my wrist touch the laptop body while charging with the adaptor. No problem when it is on battery.
    Does anyone having similar problem?
After some research on the internet, there are some report about laptop with metallic casing when the manufacturer supply with 2 pin plug which does not have earthing.
Other company have replaced their problematic laptop with 3 pin plugs for all their customer. My adaptor is indeed with 2 pin plug.
Could the shock by lack of earthing in this case similar to Dell problem?

    Hi
I would really recommend contacting the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country to check the parts and to fix this issue.
A friend of mine is an Z830 owner but as far as I know he did not experience any similar issue.

I want to run my MBP off just the charger, because my battery is (surprise) bulging.
However, it won't even try to start.
The charger (not original) appears identical to original (original pulled exposed wires from base) but was given with the new 13"; I thought all MBP's had the same charger, tho, and it's the Macbooks that use a lower power cord?

  • MacBook pro won't run unless charger connected

    Hello
Suddenly my 2 year old MacBook Pro will only boot if the charger is connected, if I disconnect the charger while the computer is running, the screen dims after about four seconds then it dies completely. Puzzling since the battery still seems to be healthy. Any ideas before I take it to the shop? I've been running Snow Leopard with no problems for three months and there are no peripherals attached.

Your battery has completed a fair number of cycles, De Boffined. How long since you calibrated it?
I'd be inclined to check the battery connections for any dirt or corrosion , and reset the SMC (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 )
If the problem persists after that get the battery tested.

From the information you have posted, there is no obvious reason why your battery should be failing or why your MacBook is not working unplugged.
However, the first line of attack for any battery problem is to reset the SMC. Follow the instructions here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411
If that does not address your issue, you may need to call AppleCare or visit an Apple store.

  • Satellite A200 won't run CD's

I've been using an A200 since 2007. It perfectly runs all types of DVD's but recognizes all types of CD's as blank.
I'm unable to write CD's as well.
The writing process completes smoothly and the CD is then ejected. But when i insert the CD into a any other computer it's blank.

    > The writing process completes smoothly and the CD is then ejected. But when i insert the CD into a any other computer it's blank.
As I understand your issue, the Satellite A200 recognizes all disk properly and can burn the CD as well but the OTHER computer recognize the CD as blank.
    Is it right?
Well, I would recommend using another brand of CD disks!
Try and test different CDs from different manufacturers.

  • Macbook won't run off charged battery

My battery indicators on screen and underneath the Macbook show maximum charge but when I remove the power adaptor, it dies.
This started to happen a few days ago after a couple of years with zero problems. I tried re-setting the SMC but it makes no difference. As the battery is charged, it seems unlikely just changing it will help.
    Any ideas please?

  • Satellite C650 won't start up

Hi, I have a Satellite model #C655-55060, part #PSC08U-04X037, serial #xxxxxxxxx. Had it since Christmas of 2010, no other problems until today. Tried to turn it on, and it froze midway through the Starting Windows animation. Tried to restart first uding Ctrl Alt Del, but that didn't work, so I held the button to turn the laptop off. When I started it again, it brought up a Windows Error Recovery screen that let me choose to either to launch Startup Repair or Start Windows normally.
When I launch Startup Repair, it goes to a Microsoft loading bar, then to a black screen, and then the black screen gets a white arrow cursor and that's all the further it goes.I thought maybe it  just needed time- I let it sit for 20 minutes and it never went past that screen.
When I try to Start Windows normally, it goes through the Starting Windows animation, and then comes up with a blue screen. I can't read the ton of text on the blue screen because it only lasts about a second before it returns me to the Windows Error Recovery screen.
I'm almost thinking I'll have to send it back, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions first? Thank you!

  • Latest sapehpi - startehpi won't run - misses parameters???

Just started with EHP4 on ECC 6.0 and could only download patch-38 of sapehpi which is quite new.
Problem turns up during first time STARTEHPI and this won't run while complaining about parameters not matching.
Log for command doesn't really show a lot more but does also complain about an End-Of-File on INSTANCES in QTEMP.
Couldn't find anything helpful in notes or guides so now hoping on you guys ...
    Statement used is:  STARTEHPI SID(DE1) TYPE(*ABAP) EPIPATH('/usr/sap/DE1/EHPI')
Not sure if we still need to also use the OPTIONS('-srvarg=/RoleService/off')  but that doesn't make a difference for the problem.
    Any help appreciated, Louis.

    Hi Louis,
I found the reason for the issue. It is based on the strange system library list the customer is running. There is a name conflict with program STARTUP called by command STARTEHPI. There exists also a foreign one in library SYSIB on the customer system. Please have a look at following analysis details:

I explained in the customer ticket in details how do you have to setup the library list in front of the STARTEHPI command, basically there are some needed CHGSYSLIBL calls with OPTION(*REMOVE).
BTW, your EHPI is currently running and waits for connects from SDT GUI.

    Try this
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
Using the phone while charging doesn't create a problem.. I do it all the time
